  1. Also, WBD, mind if I just post Arthur's half of the convo in the Hall, and use quotes to keep the flow of the conversation making sense? I don't want to clog up the Arena topic without permission.
  2. "That sounds like an excellent plan." "Actually, we travelled to Ennon, not Haddon, though I accompanied McColt to Haddon on my return trip to Eubric. It was...most enlightning, to say the least, getting a look into Wren's past. We saw how strong she was as a Hero...and how vulnerable. In short, she's a lot like us...and we're not so different from her."
  3. Take Arthur out sometime, even when he's Lucky, he manages to roll Special Damage... Since Quest 31 and the Lion Knight disguises.
  4. Arthur realizes he's not yet greeted Skrall. "Hello, my friend. I wasn't expecting to see you, Atramor, and Lord Boomingham so soon; I thought your Quest would go on longer than it did. What exactly happened over there?"
  5. It's OK, Zeph forgot it in 38 as well. In fact...has any QM remembered the Mirror Damage roll? (*decides to leaf through 28 again*) Arthur never gets rid of anything, especially not important papers or costumes. EDIT: It appears that WBD, as awesome as usual, consistently remembered Mirror Damage instead of Damage.
  6. >_< Upon re-reading the Sentinel battle in Q51, I realized the Automaton would have been at 25 Health when it died (thanks to Mirror Damage), meaning just one more hit would have killed it. ...or wait, does Mirror Damage take into account the user's SP, the enemy's Defense, or both? If it only takes into account the user's SP, then it would have been at 11 Health. >_< Also, once I fix my Gold for my purchases, I encourage everyone to take a look at my Hero Stats--there are a few changes that you might find interesting...
  7. "Seems the time stream's still a bit wonky, friend, though I wouldn't expect a non-magic user to notice. Anyhow, that gold that mysteriously appeared in your pouch? If you count it, you'll find it's the exact amount we discussed. Pleasure doin' business with ya."
  8. First time was during the "time warp".
  9. Post it here! Also, Zeph, I thought you said Everyman wanted to talk to the Heroes, Arthur's talked to him twice now and gotten no response.
  10. Anyone happen to save the posts from the library? It's not a lot, but it was pretty good stuff...
  11. I'll try to remember to keep a tab open.
  12. Well, that was an interesting experience in trippy philosophy...suffice to say, whatever you think Arthur's saying here, it's not quite what you're thinking he's thinking.
  13. "I'm more inclined to believe it was a disturbance among the gods--or at least something to that effect. I hate using the term 'gods', but no language I know posesses the words needed to accurately express my beliefs regarding such things. The best way I can put it would be..." Arthur exhales in frustration, and opens his mouth to speak several times, but can't seem to find the right words--or even ANY words--to say. finally, he resignedly says, "Let's just say that it makes complete sense of the seeming contradiction between Destiny and Free Will, and leave the matter until the philosophers come up with better words for us to use, shall we?" Arthur strokes his stubble momentarily. "I suppose in a way you could say that time is 'broken'--we think of time as flowing the way it does in an outside realm of the 'gods', when in reality it does nothing of the sort. Though if we stop and think about it, the way it works in their realm doesn't make much sense, either..."
  14. "Yeah, why? Didn't anyone else sense it? It happened a couple months back, too, I was just too woozy to comment about it. I figured it had to do with the Chaos in the city..."
  15. Arthur sighs. "Now I remember why even the Ancients were hesitant to embrace time travel." Arthur drops off 130 gold to Alexander Vagrant (again) in exchange for the Spider Leg, and mumbles something indistinct to De'kra about avoiding the Library. Arthur flops down moodily next to Johnny Everyman, glaring angrily towards the universe in general. "So, is someone gonna tell me about those wanted posters, or...?"
  16. Sandy's revisions to the Mystic Knight and Berserker. Also, probably a bunch of marketplace stuff.
  17. Ah, the description doesn't read that way; it reads as if the user gets a free elemental weapon enchant for one Round, and then does a physical attack to the enemies, which would be affected by row. If you still think it's OP, I'd say just reduce the number of attacks somewhat (2-8, perhaps?) and make it work...well, the way I just described. Chesterine Zeigfried. Or Cronk ohwait...
  18. ...Wren? C'mon, did you really have to ask on that one? Who do I want to see again...? Gurnam, I think. No, no, Singerson, Singerson for sure. Nope, Pie's got it right, I want to see Umbra. BRING ME UMBRA! Also, any reason why Bilbert's bio isn't in the non-Quest NPC segment?
  19. I'm suddenly reminded that Arthur killed no one of importance in Dastan. For shame. Think we'll make it to 38 before 53?
  20. Arthur stepped back into the Library once more, wondering if Byblos had completed his studies. Nonetheless, he resolved not to bring it up himself. "Byblos? Do you still have that journal I asked you to hold onto for me?" Catching himself before he asks how the Metasimian's studies had been coming along, he adds, "How are--I mean, who are the people in those strange pictures in the Hall? Do you have any additional information on them?"
  21. "Oh. Right..." Arthur hands De'kra the Journal back, albeit somewhat nervously. "I...just remembered I've forgotten to say hello to Byblos. I'll be back soon." With that, Arthur heads to the Library.
  22. ...Which reminds me, I need to buy Smelling Salts. ...actually, JimB, are the Smelling Salts going to be worth it, or should I just overload on Nostrum? I already know I won't be able to afford Sticky Gloves, which means I have SOME cash to blow, but I'm weighing the benefeits/costs of the other items. Mind helping me strategize for my first major Consumable run? I was swayed when I saw it granted full Ether on a Shield; that plus the Lens plus my Scroll collection means fun like 51 but without fear of running out of Ether, plus I'll have a sizable enough Health bonus to actually attack things! It's pretty awesome, actually, I'm glad I accidentally got a shot at it. Also, will someone tell me the damn date already? I kind of can't update my character stats until someone does.
  23. Arthur glanced out the window. The air had grown distinctly chillier, and the sun seemed to have set earlier than he had expected. Huh. I wonder... "Hey, anyone know what day it is?"
  24. Say, Pie, what exactly would today's date be in the system that Chalvo used (i.e. "6th day of Harvest")?
  25. Arthur is stopped at the doorway to the Hall by De'kra. The echo seems hesitant, but strong in accepting his destiny. "Yes, De'kra. You are ready. More ready than most." More ready than I was when I became a Sorcerer. "In fact..." Arthur reaches into his bag, extracting his Scroll of Sealing. "You may find this useful for your training, and beyond. Consider it an investment in your future." Arthur hands De'kra the Scroll with a wink, before settling down in a chair in front of the fire.
