  1. I'd be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. We may not have gotten official pics yet but Lego have done a great job containing leaks with this wave of releases, and if the figures are popping up, maybe they're doing small releases as a test run or something before the full on release? Or maybe I'm just hoping it's being released now so we can get pictures
  2. Wonder Woman: "Oh look at you, new haircut!"
  3. Those box pictures make me worry that Freeze might not have a dual face. Both Gordon and Aquaman have both faces represented in the box art (action scene and the lineup pic) but Freeze has his awkward 'grr I'm angry and goggleless' face in both the action and lineup shots. I really hope he has a serious goggle face...
  4. Wow great purist figs man, you can tell straight away who they're meant to be. Love your Glenn, but my favourite would be S3 Rick, that hair is perfect. Just a shame he's smirking, he's been all serious so far, and I don't see that changing Great face choice on Darryl by the way, works really well. I love the Walking Dead, tempting to do something similar
  5. I'm ok with the small squad based teams. For one thing, it'll like mean more detailed and more specific face-prints. The other thing is, if I want to build myself an army, I can just buy multiples anyway. Besides, the small squad thing gives off a bit of a Mass Effect vibe, which I'll gladly welcome As for the small picture, it looks interesting, but I can't really tell whether it'll be really good or not. Will wait for HQ pics, which will hopefully show up reeeeaaal soon
  6. Wow, these look a lot better than I was expecting. I had kinda written this theme off in my head as something I wouldn't be interested in, but after seeing these pics I'm not so sure. The minifigs look brilliant, and even if I don't collect the sets I might have to forge an army of the Croc figures, even without hi res shots that look adorably awesome (in that Lego way). As someone said, I'm getting a definite Kremling vibe, not just from the boat but the figures as well. Makes me wish somehow that Lego had gotten hold of the Donkey Kong license haha. Can't wait to see high res pics and reviews for these! My wallet can tho...
  7. Ah great to finally get pictures of the last Batman set. Pity they aren't that big, but so far it looks really good. Nice shape that looks easy enough to MOD if I want it more boaty and less sleddy. Only concern is it's hard to tell if Freeze has a second face. I really hope he has a serious goggled face. The angry one might work for if his suit has been removed from him, but he needs a calm and goggled one in my opinion. Still, it's a nice set
  8. Huh, the pictures of the Tumbler and Bat make it look a little more promising than the box art. The Tumbler looks less like a buggy and more like an armored tanky vehicle. The Bat I'm still eh about as a Batman vehicle, but I'd simply MOD it for my Space setup. Might have to wait until it's released or at least higher quality pics before I write this thing off, it'll be a while after it's released in America before it makes its way down here
  9. Well it looks like Gordon has a dual sided head, that's a plus (Check the box art to the other pic). The DKR set is very underwhelming though. The Tumbler has 0 intimidation factor, and The Bat just looks...weird. At this stage I'll be hard pressed to fork out for that set (Especially given Arkham's price) but knowing me I'll cave once it's actually out. I see myself converting The Bat into a plain Sci-Fi ship tho, doesn't look all that Batmanny in lego
  10. Wow man that is absolutely incredible. I was seriously impressed by the model, and then you opened it up. The only criticism would have been the thickness of the body, but I think that sacrifice is well worth it for such an impressive interior man. Words don't do this justice frankly
  11. I'm holding onto hope that it'll be released roughly around the same time as the other sets. The fact we saw images for the figures along with the others makes me think that the set is either a) and exclusive, or b) being released slightly later (Wasn't the Batcave a little after the others? Otherwise like the Funhouse). Would be weird for them to release the figure pictures if they weren't coming out until the middle of next year.
  12. Whether it's Galaxy Quest or Squad, it sounds like they'll be going down the Monster Hunters road (and other series) of having a few pre-defined hero characters. I reckon we'll get some specialty space suits and face prints etc. Given the kind of minifig pieces we've seen lately we could get some really nice new alien moulds too. I'm really interested to see what kind of sets they make, but I'm looking forward to what they come up with, given the quality of the last few themes
  13. I really hope they don't chuck Penguin in the Arkham set, he isn't an inmate, he goes to Blackgate. Plus I'd rather the Arkham set trade off Robin and Penguin figures for extra detail personally.
  14. Thanks for the review Whitefang! This series may be a little weak in terms of figures I'm interested in, but your review definitely isn't weak The Actor really is awesome, didn't realise how much detail had gone into him, definitely the highlight of the set. The DJ is cool too, love the torso. The Skier has a nice torso too, and I don't have that hairpiece yet so I'd be keen to get her. Conquistador and the bat is nice too, but there are no real must-haves for me in this series, the previous ones tend to have a couple that I drool over. But it'll always come down to personal preference on things like that. Keep up the reviews tho man, they are far and away the best representations of the figures, and I find them a great help in deciding which ones I want. So thank you
  15. I think the other reason we are getting the jacketless Bane is quite simple really, it's the better choice. The coat he wears in much of the movie wouldn't accurately translate into Lego all that nicely without them having to make a trenchcoat style fabric piece (it reaches down his legs and has the popped collar look). So they make him in his Vest. It's just as prevalent in the movie (taking into account those promo pics)and easier to pull off in Lego form. That's my interpretation. As for Gordon, the body is nice, but I kinda wish they stuck with the movie look body wise. Easy enough MOD for us AFOl's tho, and that face print is just too awesome to complain about the figure. I would love a DKR Catwoman tho. Not holding my breath but that would really be the cherry on top of the ice cream of awesomeness that the set's figures will be.
  16. Bravo Lightning, bravo As the others have said, name change would be advisable. But the ship itself looks really cool. Reminded me of a wasp/Hornet as soon as I saw it, one of those two might be a better name for it too haha
  17. That was actually my theory before pictures were released, but the white Batman makes me think he'll be released with him in a smaller set. Freeze isn't insane (I'm pretty sure anyway) but because of his unique condition where he needs to be kept at a certain temperature, he generally is kept at Arkham because they have the facilities to keep him that way.
  18. It's interesting to see the set predictions people have. I don't think Arkham is going to hold all the characters people seem to think it will. Here are my thoughts from the DC wave: Penguin/Red Robin - Be about the size of the Catwoman Chase set. Maybe A Red Robin bike (Captain America bike style) with a small car for Penguin or something Freeze/White Bats/Aquaman - The Superman sized set of the bunch. Not sure which direction they'll go, but it'll have to be water based since Aquaman is involved. Bane/Bat/Gordon - Obvious combo there. If I had to guess either Bane's Tumbler and the Batpod, or Batman's new flying contraption (The Bat). Probably around the Batmobile/Two Face priced set. Might include a GCPD car for Gordon. Bat with wings/Joker/Harley/Scarecrow/Ivy/Guard - Arkham Asylum set. 6 characters in the set seems about right, rather than the 8 that others seem to suggest by including Robin and Penguin. Penguin is normally a Blackgate prisoner anyway, so he doesn't belong in Arkham.
  19. I'm not a huge Marvel man, but Venom was probably the one out of those I wanted to see most, Doom was a close second. As for DC, so many quality ones to pick from. The sheer shock of actually getting Dark Knight Rises style Bane makes me stoked for him, plus he looks awesome, and Gordon is done so well that they are two obvious choices. And Anti-Freeze/Ice/White/Artic Batman is going to be a cool figure to have just for the unique colouring of it. But the new Scarecrow captures his creepy persona so well, and was the villain I most wanted to see, so I had to pick Crane Only an Arkham City style Riddler might have been able to beat him
  20. I couldn't be happier with the Batman releases here. Scarecrow: I think the face is a great improvement. The old one was good from what I saw, but there's something really creepy and haunting about that smile. Plus I was desperate to get one Robin isn't a big change, but the hood is a nice little addition for those who might not have him. I would have preferred a new Nightwing but that's fine, I can wait. Liking the suit and pants on Penguin. Not sure if I'm fully sold on the face but it's a pretty decent representation of the guy. Freeze looks cool. Liking the whole look of him, I'm really hoping he's wearing goggles in a reverse face though, just cause it'll give a bit of an Arkham City vibe to him. Asylum Joker we saw yesterday, but he still looks cool. Ivy doesn't seem to have changed, nor the cop. But that Harley is brilliant. I'm wondering if she's meant to be hiding her identity (with the red black costume underneath the clothes) or if it's just meant to be foreshadowing her transformation. Either way it's cool. I wonder if that Gordon will be in the Dark Knight Rises set? It looks like it's the Gary Oldman style, but by the same measure it might just be a comic Gordon for the Arkham set or something. Won't matter, I'm just curious. Cool we're getting the Bat-wings in black, and the Dark Knight Rises Bat is great. The new cowl looks great with the white stripe in the right place. Bane is.... I'm in love. I'm totally digging the Nolan Bane look, and the fact we're getting him at some point makes me giddy with joy. They even got his one glove! And White Batman (I assume that'll be released with Freeze) is just sweet as. I'm going to be spending way too much money on Batman lego next year, and I can't wait!
  21. Pretty cool man, but I think the Bat-torso is the absolute standout. Looks incredible man. Have you put them on any figures? I'd be really curious to see how the Bane head looks when applied to a minifig face, as well as the others (Like Batman's eye through the cowl).
  22. Great to see that Joker picture. I was hoping we would get an Updated Arkham Asylum, and it's hard to see them releasing that figure in anything but a new Asylum. I really hope we get Scarecrow, with updated Joker and Riddler's, Scarecrow's the next one I would love to have. A Hugo Strange figure would be pretty awesome too, and it seems like a set they could include him in fairly comfortably
  23. The beauty of it is really that there isn't going to be a true 'right' hairpiece for her, since you can customise the character in the game. But the black and yellow hair examples to me give her different personalities, so ultimately it can come down to what kind of Shepard you want your Femshep to be I'd love to see how a Tali helmet would come out if you did it too haha
  24. Cool, I love the Mass Effect series. Many Femsheps are different, but I'd say the Black hair shape wise is the best fit (that's a Friends hairpiece yeah?) but the yellow definitely has potential for a more renegade style (seems to have more attitude. I think once it was done in a more flattering colour (I'm guessing dark red) It'll look a lot nicer too. Nice face choice for her too, really captures her determination. Can't wait to see the final product. Are you going to make any of the other characters? (Jacob and Miranda would be fairly easy, and the Illusive Man.) I'd love to see Lego tackle the Mass Effect series although I never see it happening, there would be a lot of cool sets and minifigs to come from it. Just imagine a Lego Garrus or Tali! I'm liking what you have so far man
  25. Fingers crossed that special set becomes a Dark Knight Rises one. Nolan style Batman, Bane, Catwoman and maybe Alfred or Gordon would be absolutely brilliant. Maybe the Nolan Batwing? That'd be cool, or it could be the Bane style Tumbler (with gun on top) and the Batpod? I don't want to get my hopes up, but it's already too late! An X-men set would be cool too, but I'd be happy if they just release another set or two next year since I'm more of a Bat-fan. I'd like some more mutants tho
