  1. Wow PaulC, you've done a great job on that. It looks nicer that it does in the proto pictures (although that's to be expected) how's it look in real life?
  2. Hmm just went through the entire thread. Trust me to miss this completely lol. First off the two guys who designed these, congratulations, it must be inspiring to get to design for Lego. Anyways onto my very valued (lol) thoughts. The skull side I'll admit I'm not crazy about, but that's maybe more so because I'm not huge on another skelleton type theme, especially in space. The actual set though looks well designed, and I love the mini bot thing. The actual set though is very nice, so you may sway me more when the other part of the set is revealed to us Love the Space Justice set. The little base is really nice, and gives plenty of add on oppourtunities. The whole thing just is bursting with little things for the minifigures to do. The little ship looks cool, not too sure about the side landing pieces (I guess that is what they are) but in saying that it's part of the magic that is lego. If you don't like it, fix it haha! If they are $100 each, then I'd be restricted to just one set if I was to buy one, in which case it'd be the Space Justice (personal taste) but a big *y* on the designs, and looking forward to the rest of the sets!
  3. Thanks for the comment guys, seems like you all think the Red Beard Runner is the better choice. If it stays within my price range I reckon I'll finally pick up my first ship.
  4. Which would you buy - The Caribbean Clipper or Red Beard Runner? Ok, I've been interested in LEGO Pirates for a long time now, but in Australia (as I'm sure some of you can relate) finding them these days are a pain, especially at a good price. Well at this stage there are two on ebay I'm sizing up, but can only really afford to buy one of them. So basically it's a choice between the Carribean Clipper, and the Red Beard Runner. I'm leaning towards the Clipper, but I'm basing this off pics, and those who own them may be able to help me decide. Which is the better one, and preferably say why so I have something to go by. Thank you for your help guys Vote now and tell us why decided!
  5. Man what an interesting new series is all I can say. 8630: Jet looks pretty cool, but that ATV is ugly and then some. Looks like there might be a suspension system of sorts, or at least some other reason for it's height. Plenty of gold though 8631: I imagine a lot of people will buy mulitples of this set for the arm feature. Not a great set. The Rotar pack looks ok, but not great. 8632: The idea seems good enough, but not well executed if you ask me. I would have prefered a smaller bike and a slightly bulkier swamp outpost. Cool barbed wire pieces though 8633: The pick of the sets if you ask me. Sharks look wicked, and definently worth buying, just for the 'sharks with frickin laser beams attached' all it takes is a little modding and it'll look just like the Austin Powers III ones. I actually quite like the boat to a degree, and combined with the new hair piece for the girl (is that the same one in the truck set? They look the same) price depending I very well could fork out for this set 8634: Reminds me of the Batman set with the tank and gate. Looks ok, but that car is huuge. Laptop looks a bit big too if you ask me. Spideyman is interesting though 8635: Looks like a lot is happening in this set. Not the best looking truck in the world, but I'm digging the black dingy and that thing in the top right hand corner. Overall, not a series I'll buy a lot of, out of them all only 8633 appeals enough to consider buying, but I'll definently be looking to pick up a lot of the new pieces if I don't.
  6. I don't mind the RGS at all, although the Crumb sticker is really weird... I'd buy the set almost purely for the prospect of Plo Koon, as he is one of my prefered Jedi's, and to have a minifig scale one would be awesome, not to mention Anime Obi 2 Clones is a let down, but I'll bank on the prospect that that will grow. Otherwise it'll have to be Episode 3 Clones for the Gunship
  7. Woah Momma, I'm trying to picture the Diorama you're talking about, that is going to be massive! Will there be a raiding Imperial Army or just the Rebel base on it's own for now? Either way it'll be phenomenal when complete, if the Ion Cannon is anything to go by. Congrats on getting it to looks so spherical.
  8. Thanks for the review *yoda* this is probably the city set I've been most interested in to be honest. Perhaps not the most technically sound set design wise (outside of the forklift) but it has a certain old lego feel about it, and still looks pretty sweet too. Cheaper than I thought too, will probably end up getting, even if only to MOC it to look like my fathers Milk Truck
  9. I really like it mate, the building is nice, and the tank looks sweet. Interesting to see you're using the stormie/clonie bodies too, I've got different headgear though, so don't worry :-D
  10. Wow great to see so much organisation going on here. Seems like it's really beginning to shape up. Good job Dr Sinister and the other watchers
  11. I don't think their is, since it's more or less different countries joining up. For example my army wears white, while others wear black, and Sinisters army is green.
  12. Very impressive army mate, looks awesome. And lol at the Laser Wargames with tanks...
  13. I don't have any of the clone brands, so unless I have some spare cash to....ugh....buy some, I'm going to have to work with Clone Sympathisers for now.
  14. Ah yes your humour is right up my alley. I'm liking these a lot, can't wait to see what the next one is like
  15. I choose Batbricks as well as long as it doesn't change to: "For Honour! For Glory! For the Almighty BatBrick!"
  16. I joined the Wiki, will wait until I have enough info before I place my stuff there. I need to take pictures, but at the moment I currently have a Armoured Troop carrier, an Anti-Aircraft weapon and an assault vehicle (not a tank, but still pretty bulky in it's own right) I will be building more soon
  17. Endor Rebel Battlepack 2 Rebel Soldiers with backpack, helmet etc 2 Ewoks with spears (one grey, one brown maybe?) 1 Small Ewok trap (since the Rebels didn't have any small ships with them to my knowledge) Endor Imperial Battlepack 2 Stormtroopers 2 Scout Troopers (or 1 Scout and 1 regular Imperial worker) 1 Scout Speeder and perhaps a weapon dock or something Wookie Battlepack See Trudops Wookie Homeworld (don't make me try to spell it) Clone Battlepack 2 Green marking Clone Troopers 1 Clone Commander 1 Scout from that Jugganaut set 1 AT-RT (might be a lil too much though, just to mix it up)
  18. Awesome Batbrick *E-Shakes Hand* it's official I think it'd be good if everybody, when posting their armies or whatever, also included their leader figure. Similar to Dr Sinister, so that if we want to have pics of negotiations or whatever, we can use the other leaders. We may not have all the right pieces, but it might be cool to be able to include others in it all. Obvioulsy my leader is my Sig Fig
  19. The hair down bit was especially good. Looking forward to more of these, knowing what I know about you (which isn't a hell of a lot really, but that's beside the point) these should just keep getting better
  20. Definently Batbrick, a trade scheme should work well...once I have a trade ship or wagon (since we're connected by land as well haha) Just a question, I understand we're not allowed to use Star Wars vehicles and ships (my AT-ST will stay out of the conflict haha) but are we allowed to use Star Wars troops? I was sorta banking on the Rebel figures as making up a large portion of my army when they came out here. They're not all that futuristic really, so can they slip under the radar?
  21. Thanks for the review. I probably won't get it unless I have plenty of cash left over after all the other lego priorities...but it's still pretty nice
  22. If it's not too late I would like to sign up for the EN. My army is small at the moment, but my town will start to rapidly train troops and build military vehicles. Once they are ready I will post a picture signifying their readiness. If the position is available, I'd be happy to take on Head of Propoganda, or act as a support force to Batbrick (since our lands are near :-D )
  23. Awesome looking playset. Will probably not get due to price, and the fact I don't really need it. Good to see how everything works, but those DAMN stickers!
  24. That looks awesome, thanks for the pics, a definent buy for me. Love the trucks, they look so real but keep the lego-ness.
  25. You know what I'd love to see? A Town Plan style Castle set. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they say the set would be catered more to the AFOL's? (I think they said that) then a Town Plan-esque set, as in a couple of civilian buildings, and then some military thrown in would rule. Hopefully not as expensive, but it'd be cool and plausible if they did it right
