  1. @rriggs: Set your LDD to LDD Extended (View - New Themes) and type in part number 75977. Here's your Rubber Boat 6x10! Any colour you like! In future, you can find out parts yourselves by using this link. Just change the part number in the address to the number you want (i.e. from a set instruction book).
  2. 4207 – City Garage - Theme: City / Traffic [bricklink] [brickset] 4207 LXF Notes: - Different decoration on Earth Blue and Bright Orange minifig torso (best fitting replacement) - Black String with Knobs 10M (63143) missing (hoses on gas pumps) - no replacement - No strings for tow truck and car lift. 5. 4204 – The Mine - Theme: City / Mining [bricklink] [brickset] 4204 LXF Notes: - Built from instructions with bricks and colours checked against TLG Customer Service site - not checked with actual set. - Items in the set are grouped in the LXF for user convenience - Minifig face and torso decorations all correct due to new additions to LDD 4.3.5. Credits to Aanchir for finding them out! - No string for crane, no stickers, otherwise: no issues
  6. Why didn't I know that?? Thanks, Hrontos, for sharing . The Excel list produced is actually quite neat
  7. Ozrik, Welcome to the forum. Sadly, LDD cannot perform your request. But, another LDD Fan, Superkalle, has devised a program that can: LDD Manager. See here for instructions for download and help!
  8. Maybe I'm just pointing at the obvious, but I only know how the teethed version is used in the Supercar set 8880 that I own. There they are used in a gearbox/clutch assembly without using the teeth at all. See the instructions here. I therefore also wonder if they've ever been used with teeth attached to another brick/item. Anyway, regardless of whether or not the teeth were being used, they lost use when all other simularly teethed items were discontinued (ten years ago?)....
  9. WIP: 4204 The Mine EDIT: completed! See here
  10. @Superkalle et al.: has anyone got a list or lxf-overview of the new and/or fixed parts and decorations? I would very much like to see if I can (further) update my lxfs that are in the 'Official Sets' thread. THNX!
  11. As promised, all my entries (yes, ALL of them ) are now updated to LDD 4.3.5 / BrickSetVersion 835.3. Additionally, entries for two sets have been amended to include the newly added Crane Bucket 3492c01 (now in LDD under no. 75172): 4565, 4645
  12. OK, I see your problem. Here's the deal: I will update the other lxf the coming days. I will let you know in this thread when the job is complete. Then you can amend that wonderful new index. OK?
  13. @Calabar: Affirmative, I have opened all lxf's that I've posted in here with LDD 4.3.5 and they all turned out OK (no alarm bells). I checked all sets that have missing parts or bugs/problems, and only with the three sets listed separately it turned out that previously missing parts could now be added or that previous bugs/problems were now solved. So only for that three sets I have provided new LXF's and pictures. The others are OK as-is, so do not need an updated lxf, do they? BTW, I'm glad you're not asking me to list them ALL . That would be the true disadvantage of being among the Top-10 contributors...
  14. LXFs updated to LDD 4.3.5: 7248, 10224, 7898 Remarks: - Set 7428: treads 71372 now do fit on rims 32007 - Set 10224: White Beard 93223 & Female Wig 93562 corrected as they are now in LDD - Set 7898: Bug with Buffer 45708 (reported here) is now fixed – the buffer now fits onto the 9V Train Motor correctly. All my other LXFs (77 in total) have been checked, they work OK in LDD 4.3.5 and no amendments are necessary (any remarks, missing bricks or missing decorations still remain valid LDD 4.3.5). EDIT: so all my sets listed up to today can be considered updated to LDD 4.3.
  15. Indeed, a BIG thumbsup! I really missed this 'Filter Bricks by Boxes' option, that used to be around in the earlier LDD versions. Now I can again check whether my actual 10183 Hobby Train set contains enough bricks for the model I'm building in LDD. Plus: the chosen method with the 'userpalettes' folder now makes it very easy to make palettes with different sets together! Again: thanks to the LDD team! And thanks, Superkalle, for sharing this very useful information with us!
  16. Thanks very much, Superkalle, for the new update. I checked the hiccup that I reported earlier (about error message when thumbnail of decorated part is requested). It now works OK by stating 'no image available'. Having no image available is sad but understandable . Again: good job! (FYI: I'm running it on a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit machine with MS Office Professional Plus 2010 on it)
  17. Thanks, Superkalle, for this update to this VERY useful piece of programming. I downloaded and unzipped it without probs. The new thumbnail option is very neat and handy. I bumped into one 'problem', however: the thumbnail feature generates an error message in MS Access ('wrong expression / wrong evaluation') when selecting a decorated brick. It happened, for instance, with part 3069bpx40 (tile 1x2 with mail/envelope decoration).
  18. 4534 - LEGO Express - Theme: Trains [bricklink] [brickset] [Peeron] 4534 LXF 4535 - LEGO Express Deluxe - Theme: Trains [bricklink] [brickset] [Peeron] 4535 LXF Notes for both sets: Minifigs - Different decoration for minifig torso of Conductor Charlie. - Different decorations for minifig torsos of passengers and for minifig face of young passenger. Loccomotive - Black Electric Wire (5306) not in LDD. Wire Brick for light replaced by two Plates 2x2. - White Electric Light Brick 1 x 2 with Single Side Light (6035) not in LDD, replaced with White Technic Brick 1x2 (3700). Passenger Wagon - Missing decoration on Black Tile 1x2 (HC514 pattern). Caboose / Open Freight Wagon - Missing decoration on Black Tile 1x2 (stripes). EDIT: Updated to LDD 4.3.5: Lamp Brick 6035 corrected in both sets.
  19. I haven't checked them all in PaB I assume it's like I said: there is hardly any logic. Take the couplings: current sets have the newest (child-safe) model, but the old ones are still available in Regular.... Or the chassis plates: currently only the new ones (with large cutouts) are sold in sets and PaB, but the old ones are still in Regular mode. On the other hand, Regular Mode misses some of the very standard and long-running items (such as 74784 Bearing Element) or new items, such as the RC Train Wheel.... So: no logic whatsoever EDIT: what the heck - I ran a quick P-a-B check.... Results: of all the elements mentioned above, currently only the following are available in P-a-B (that is - for me in The Netherlands): - 2878 Bearing Element (LDD no. 74784, which is NOT in LDD Regular!). Note: also available are the accompanying Wheels 57878/4496343 and Metal Axles 89815/4580964. In LDD these are integral to 74784. - 92339 Chassis Plate 6x28 (new, large cutouts) - 91994 Train Buffer (new, regular) - 4025 Bogie Plate All elements available in Black only - except the 6x28 chassis plate, which is in Dark Stone only. Thus: enough to build a train - straightforward or even with bogies!
  20. Welcome cpw! Good to hear of someone else building trains in LDD! Here is a handy list of Train Parts in LDD 4.2. All are available in Extended, bold items are available in Regular Mode. Motor: 70358 - 9V Train Engine 2871 - Motorbogie ornament Wheels: 74784 - Bearing Element 4025 - Bogie plate 50254 - Train Wheel (Small) 57999 - Train Wheel with O-ring (RC regular) 85558 - Large Train Wheel (Blind) 85557 - Large Train Wheel Baseplates: 6584, 92088 and 92340 - Chassis 6x24 (different versions) 4093 and 92339 - Chassis 6x28 (different versions) Couplings/Buffers: 4022 (regular) and 45708 (with plough) - old versions (need additional 2920 Coupling Lever and 73092 Magneto Holder) 64422 and 91994 (identical): new regular Train Buffers 64414 and 91992 (identical): new Train Buffers with plough I agree the logic between available in Regular and Extended is missing.....
  21. Also for @EM4CZ, @Vean and @Superkalle: I have incorporated your amendments into a new Town Hall LXF. Thnx for the collaboration on this 'doll house for adults'. @Calabar: Indeed, I already had noticed that the problem was in the antenna (same as in Pet Shop). I wonder why you were able to fix something that my LDD wouldn't ? @Vean: Your rooftop lamellas are very acceptable. I don't bother that they do not 'fit' with the roof and I am convinced that they are good enough to take away Superkalle's (understandable) fear of triggering a collision in future versions. I am now convinced that I should no longer try to hastle with these kinda things (I spend ages getting them around the curves) but instead just post it and cry for help.
  22. I do not own the model, but from the instructions I understand that that the Technic Brick falls over de upright stub on the plate, so that the brick leans on the stub with the inside (the inside of the Technic Hole). It is a way of parts leaning on each other. In real life, there will be no 'fit', so unsurprisingly LDD does not recognise it as such. Tnxs. Somehow the communication with the EB site got hung up during the process of the posting. When it came back on, I had suddenly posted it twice. Of course I was eager to show my work, but that doesn't allow me to spam .
  23. 10224 - Town Hall - Theme: Modular Buildings [bricklink] [brickset] 10224 LXF Notes: - Built from instructions with bricks and colours checked against TLG Customer Service site - not checked with actual set. - Missing decoration on some minifig torsos (orange, white, earth blue). - Different decoration on red minifig torso. - White Beard 93223 not in LDD, replaced with beard 6132 - Female Wig 93562 not in LDD, replaced with Wig 93217 - Medium Stone Grey Mini Shield 10182 (decorated) not in LDD, replaced with Mini Shield 3846. - Technic 1x2 With 2 Holes (32000) does not (in LDD) 'lean on' Plate 1x2 with Stub (30383) (in support of sloped roof above main entrance). - In sloped roofs above main entrance, White Plate 1x10 replaced by Plate 1x2 and Plate 1x6 to avoid collision. - Missing decoration (picture/painting) for Sand Yellow Tile 2x2 - Two Decorated Half Domes (Cylinder Hemisphere) 97360/97362 (Bricklink 61287pb001 / pb002) not in LDD. No replacement - White Tile 1x2 does not fit in 1891 logo. Placed seperately. ('Pet Shop problem') - Missing decoration (clock) on Black Round Plate 3960. - I was unable to fit the rooftop windows with the Lamellas 4218/4219. They are now placed next to the building. Any help in getting this fixed is welcome. EDIT 1: New version: Problems with 1891 Logo and Rooftop Window Lamellas solved through collaboration with EM4CZ, Calabar and Vean . Thnx guys! EDIT 2: Updated to LDD 4.3.5 - White Beard 93223 & Black Female Wig 93562 corrected as they are now in LDD. EDIT 3: Updated to LDD 4.3.9/2075 - Half Domes 61287 added (Globe). Decorations on globe halves still missing, though.
  24. Hi all, I've been active on Eurobricks for a couple months, but as this activity has mostly taken place in the LEGO Digital Designer Forum, I haven't taken the time to introduce myself here. I definitely consider myself affiliated with Trains, so here's my (short) story. I started with LEGO in the late sixties. My father was a huge train fan, both the real stuff (going to Germany to see and hear the big steam engines) and miniture trains (H0-size). So I got a LEGO train - the old one with the blue rails and the big box with three batteries in it. Over the years, my sister, my younger brother and I collected a steadily growing amount of LEGO, including a lot of Legoland sets as well as the early Technic sets. Of course, dark ages loomed and after high school the LEGO got out of sight. The first sign of light at the end of the tunnel appeared when I saw a set that had everything I had dreamt of as a kid: Technic 8880 Super Car. After that, it still took some years (and some offspring) to bring LEGO fully back. Amidst the City and Belleville sets for the kids, there suddenly was another must-have: a Maersk Container Ship! But still it was only build and amaze, not much play. That all changed with the set that I still view as one of the best ever: 10183 Hobby Trains. Again I was sitting at the table, devising all kind of trains I knew, I had seen or found interesting. The LDD program, which you needed to build the other 29 models from the set, gave it an extra dimension. Since then I have been building MOCs in LDD - just with contents of the Hobby Train set. Such as this version of the BNSF and this MAK. (I built the MAK in 2008 and had it uploaded to the LEGO website - I still suspect them of stealing my MAK MOC for the present set 3677 Red Cargo Train ) Anyway, last couple of years there was no way of stopping me from acquiring the terrific Emerald Night (big wheels, yeah!) and of course the Maersk Train. Somewhere along the line I also managed to buy the already out-of-production 10027 Train Engine Shed. With the new Power Functions, I made motorized versions of a much of the Hobby Train models as possible. Interested? Here you can find the LDD file for the main Hobby Train 'Cocodrile' with built-in PF motor, battery and receiver. Last November I stumbled into Eurobricks and found that that there was an Extended Version to the LDD program! With all the bricks! And in all colours (so even transparant pink train wheels )! Since then, I have been busy helping to populate the "Official LEGO Sets made in LDD" part of the forum. First with all the sets that we have at home, but gradually focussing on Trains sets. And I am happy to announce that you can now access LDD-files for most of the Trains sets from 1991 to the most recent ones! This work learned me a lot about brick part numbers and design numbers and the like. I consider myself one of the train-guards of the LDD forum. The present version of LDD still contains some bugs with regard to train parts (rail tracks, chassis plates) that need to be corrected. Lastly: my avatar - it's a MOC of a "Sik" (Dutch for 'goatee'), which was a very common shunter ('locomotor') owned by the Dutch National Railways. Of course, the MOC is build purely from Hobby Train set parts and the picture is made in LDD!
  25. Train Undercarriage Problem! When checking the LXFs for the 2010 Trains sets 7938 (Passenger Train) and 7939 (Cargo Train), I encountered a problem with attaching the undercarriage to the chassis. Passenger Train 7938 uses the new Chassis 6x24 (92340) and Arches 1x4x2 (6182). However, in LDD the arches do not want to fit in the required position next to the square cutout (indicated by Tan Arch which should be it the position of the blue brick - see picture). With Cargo Train 7939 something similar happens. It uses Chassis 6x28 (92339) and Arches 1x6x2 (3307). Here, the arches do fit directly over the square cutouts, but LDD does not allow them to fit in the required position next to the cutouts (indicated by the blue brick - see picture)... LXF Boundary error in both chassis plates?? Of note: this problem does not occur with the 'old' chassis plates (4093 and 6584) nor with the other new 6x24 chassis (92088). EDIT: These problems/bugs have been solved in LDD version 4.3.5
