  1. Superkalle, I found that another bug has been fixed , which is not mentioned in your file. The Shield Box 2578 problem (discussed here) is fixed in LDD 4.2. In the near future I will update my LXF of Set 7242.
  2. @Aliewar9 & @Superkalle: here is a little explanation. In the thread for Official Sets, there are some sets featuring the RC Train Wheel 57999. For instance 10194 Emerald Night. Most of these LXFs have been build with an older version of LDD (before 4.1.8) when the Wheel was in there. In 4.1.8, these LXFs opened with the statement that some bricks (i.e. the RC Train Wheels) were removed. In 4.2.5, this statement also occurs, despite the (happy) fact that the wheel has returned. Therefore, LDD builders still have to find the wheel and put it back on the model themselves. Which is a pity .
  3. Choo-choo train fanatic Most Wanted List: Train Tracks: - Get rid of the rail tracks that in LDD do not fit onto other elements such as ground plates (74745 Curved & 74746 Straight) - Retain the rail tracks that do (53400 Curved and 53401 Straight) - Replace current rail switches / points (75541 Right & 75542 Left, they also do not fit onto other bricks) with identical switches/points that do fit onto other bricks and can be used with rail tracks 53400/53401. Design IDs for these switches are 53403 (Switch Right) and 53406 (Switch Left). Note that these differ form the parts numbers in Peeron/Bricklink (53404 and 53407 respectively) - Introduce Control Switch 2866 (for the rail switches / points) - Introduce Train Track Crossing 32087 - Introduce Train Track Double Crossover (Half) 60128 (LEGO Design ID 57794, Crossing 1/2 With Switch) Other Train Parts: - Introduce Train Door Sliding - Type 2 2874 And I support the already mentioned Window 1x4x5 (2493) (I need it for the Train Engine Shed 10027) and Black Door 1x4x5 Right with 6 Panes (73312) (used in Cafe Corner).
  4. Just got it working after an initial fail to open LXF's (a warning told me to reinstall - after closing the program and reopening it, it worked OK). Initial observations: I am very glad that the RC Train wheel is back ! Be aware: it has a different number now (57999 vice former 55423). This will not help the less experienced and forces users to amend all their LXFs with this wheel in it. Also the much missed chainlink 3711 is back. Now start checking if it works OK..... Finally, I sincerely agree with Superkalle to thank Martin from TLG on providing him with a What-is-new-List. Thanks Superkalle, for sharing!
  5. Thanx, Superkalle! I find it very good to hear that TLG actually and seriously looks into these kind of things. As for the LXF, I intend to leave in the cogwheel (it can be made to fit plus I think we should try to make LXFs as complete as possible), but I will add a note that it will not fit in every position since it is illegal build confirmed by TLG.
  6. I was speaking of the digital one.... Maybe I was not completely clear in the procedure, by leaving out the last step. With the 'Design ID' from TLG or the part number from Peeron/Bricklink (which are usually identical) you can go to LDD. Type it in the search box in the brick selection function and the part will show. Of course, sometimes the part does not exist in LDD . You can then try to find an equivalent by searching for words from the element name (such as 1x2x3). Or build a custom replacement yourselves ....
  7. Welcome to the forum, darphboubou. Seems to me you are looking for part 32054. It is named '2M FRIC.SNAP W/CROSSHOLE' in LDD. It can be found on Bricklink as 'Technic, Pin Long with Friction Ridges Lengthwise and Stop Bush'. See also Peeron. Your picture seems to be taken from instructions. If you have instructions that feature a list of contents, you can use this link to find out the part number for LDD (design ID). Simply replace the seven-digit item number with the item number from the instructions. It is also helpful to find the correct colour used (which in your case isn't really necessary - you're looking for black one ).
  8. 4536 Blue Hopper Car - Theme: Trains 4536 LXF Note: Black Train Base 6x16 (4178) not in LDD, replaced by custom build base (grouped separately in LXF). Otherwise no issues.
  9. Thank you, Superkalle! The trick worked, indeed. I have corrected the LXF and the post.
  10. First on the Gear Wheel Problem. You are right . I tried fitting the Red Wheel (perpendicular position) when it is over the toothed bar (not on the end but in the middle) and then LDD also does not allow it to fit. So I agree the problem is probably in the Gear Wheel instead of in the Toothed Bar. Now on the collision of the 2-stud wide steps and the Wheel Rims on the 6753 Tow Truck version. I also had noticed the slight gap in the positioning of the Rims on the axle. I could not get LDD to make the position snug. That is why I tested the depth of the Rim in a dummy. On the truck, two Rims and the two-stud steps fit together in a 7-stud wide spot. Each Rim should therefore take up no more than 2 and a half stud. So I tried fitting a Wheel Rim on an axle between two rows of Technic Bricks, spaced 2 and a half stud apart. Guess what? Did not work either. In fact, you can then see the Rims go into the bricks. So my guess is that in LDD the Wheel Rims are dimensioned larger (deeper) than their actual size. In their regular use (in wheels on the outside of model) this is seldom a problem. It can be problematic, however, when you use them in other ways, as is the case with the fuel tanks on this Tow Truck.
  11. I didn't look at it that closely, especially not the Green wheel. It fitted, so I was happy! I was just trying to find out why LDD did not allow the Red wheel to fit - as it hampered my progress in building an offial set . By the way: I encountered two other boundary collisions while building this Tow Truck from set 6753. Apparently, Wheel Rims turn out be bigger in LDD than in real life. Has that been reported before?
  12. Indeed, I posted a dummy (generic) model to explain the bug as requested by Superkalle. Apparently the dummy also failed to explain the problem properly. I encountered this one while building an alternate version of Creator Set 6753 Highway Transport in LDD 4.1.8 Extended. I have recently finished the model and it is now posted here. The bug is in Version 3 - the Salvage Truck. It is part of the salvage crane. The boom of the crane can be made to extend/retract by turning a single gear wheel that grips into the toothed bars on the boom. If following the instructions, the initial position of the gear wheel is directly above the separation of the two toothed bars - it grips into the ends of both toothed bars. In that position, LDD does not allow it to be fitted (shown by Red Wheel in mock-up). If - in LDD - the boom is moved (1 stud or more either way) the gear wheel is no longer positioned above the end of a toothed bar, but grips into the other teeth of the bar. Then LDD has no problem of letting the gear wheel fit and grip (shown by Green Wheel in mock-up). Maybe this picture helps explaining: It is official build: for the instructions for this Truck see here. The construction of the movable crane with gear wheel and the tooth bars is on pages 33-39. I have an actual set at hand (it my son's). It is now in it's main transporter version (no chance to check the problem now - I need permission to touch it ). We have built it into this model before and I cannot remember encountering problems with brick stress in the crane. As I've said before: I think it is a problem with the modelling (boundaries) of the ends of Toothed Bar 3743.
  13. 6753 Highway Transport - Theme: Creator Another 3-in-1 set. The LXFs for the main model have already been compiled by JunkstyleGio and can be found here and here. These are the other two Versions for which instructions are contained in the set: a Large Mobile Crane and a Salvage Truck with Car. 6753 Version 2 6753 Version 2 LXF Note: Except for missing string, no issues. 6753 Version 3 6753 Version 3 LXF Notes: - No string - towing hook is 'hanging in the air'. - Cabin steps cannot be fitted due to boundary problem with the four Rims 56145 that act as fuel tanks. Placed separately. - Two Red Roof Tiles 2x2 Inverted (3660) (immediately in the back of the truck seats) replaced with single Purple Brick 1x4 (3010) due to boundary problem with Medium Stone Grey Rims (55981). EDIT 1: Problem solved, thanx to hint from Superkalle. EDIT 2: New note: The Gear Wheel (4019) on the crane arm does not always fit on the Toothed Bars (3743) when the crane arm is in a different position. TLG have confirmed that they regard this as an illegal build. For discussion on this problem see here. EDIT 3: Problem with 'cabin steps' can be solved by editing ('hacking') the LXFML-file inside the LXF. For the resulting LXF with correct cabin steps, made by @Gnac, see here.
  14. Here's a mock-up of the problem: LXF The red gear wheel will not fit onto the toothed bar, no matter how many degrees you turn it. The green wheel fits perfectly. The difference between the two geared wheels is their position above the toothed bar: the red wheel is sitting right above the outer end of a toothed bar, while the green gear wheel just sits over the toothed bar. Even if you take away either of the two toothed bars, the red wheel does not want to fit. I therefore assume there is a boundary problem with the ends of Toothed Bar 3743.
  15. A small 'borderline' problem. I encountered this one while building an alternate version of Creator Set 6753 Highway Transport in LDD 4.1.8 Extended. The model features a crane with Gear Wheel 4019 and Toothed Bar 3743. Initially LDD wouldn't allow the gear wheel to fit. Only after making the snapshot I realised why: because the tooth of the gear wheel is directly above the cavity that is created by the ends of two adjacent toothed bars. Apparently, the depression at the brick ends is less deep, because LDD does allow fitting the gear wheel above the other spaces between the tooths of the toothed bar (are you still with me? ). So it is actually a minor problem, more of a nuisance - just make sure you do not have to fit the wheel straight above the end of a toothed bar.

Replaced with combination of Lattice Tower (58827) and Flat Tiles 2x4 (87079) with supporting bricks underneath. I could not place the car on the tracks in the LXF, as the brushes are in the way. Apparently, in LDD the railroad cars don't want to be cleaned
  20. It sure is an official set, though it is no longer on the product side of TLG website. See here. I could not help noticing that your minifigs are (in my opinion) slightly off the mark. See here. - The policeman in the leather jacket should have the new police decoration, which also has a print on the back. See here. (See note below).) - This policeman should have a different face decoration. See here. (See note below). - The other policeman (in the suit) should also have a different face decoration See here. In the LDD deco menu, it is the one on the top right. - The prisoner should also have a different face decoration: the 'standard' villain-with-the-gold-tooth. See here. In the LDD deco menu, it is on the second row from the left, fourth from the top. Note: You may or may not be aware, but some decorations exist in LDD although they are not accessible through the menus. You can get them by copy-paste from the reference LXF, see this helpful post

  23. In addition to this original post, here are the other two versions that are in the instructions for this set. They are checked against the contents of an actual set. The benefit of these two additional versions is that they contain bricks that are not used in the main model (Version 1). I also add a corrected duplicate version of the main model. 4886 Building Bonanza - Version 2 - Theme: Creator 4886 Version 2 LXF Notes: - Black Door 1x4x5 Right with 6 Panes (73312) not present in LDD, replaced with Door 1x4x5 Right (73194) 4886 Building Bonanza - Version 3 - Theme: Creator 4886 Version 3 LXF 4886 Building Bonanza - Version 1 - Theme: Creator (Duplicate) 4886 Version 1 LXF Notes: - Differs from original posted by Johnnhiszippy3 by added Grey Window Shutters (3856) and minor correction inside roof construction. - Black Door 1x4x5 Right with 6 Panes (73312) not present in LDD, replaced with Door 1x4x5 Right (73194)
  24. Three related Train sets. Build from instructions, with bricks and colours checked against Peeron and Bricklink. Therefore, the Greys in set 4511 are the old type (Dark) Grey, while the same bricks in sets 10157/10158 are the more recent Greys (Dark Stone & Medium Stone).
