For those of you who want to have a look at the digital version of the Horizon Express, have a look here for this amazing set built in LEGO Digital Designer. Easy to change colours and even easier to extend into a large multicarriage train. And yes, of course I have also ordered the real stuff when it became available in the webshop!

Happy New Year to y'all! TLG kept their promise: the 10233 Horizon Express is available in retail as of today, with the instructions being available on the TLG Customer Service site. Therefore I have checked and corrected my LDD model to the official instructions. The corrected LXF is now entered in the Official Sets in LDD forum: take a look here.

Previously posted here separately as a pre-release reverse-engineered LXF based on pictures, but now officially released with the instructions made available. Therefore: here is the complete Horizon Express 'TGV' set as built according to the official instructions. 10233 – Horizon Express – Theme: Creator / Expert (Trains) [bricklink] [brickset] 10233 LXF Notes: - Built from instructions with bricks and colours checked against TLG Customer Service site - not checked with actual set. - Items in the set are grouped in the LXF for user convenience. - Black Roof Front 6x4x1 (13269) not in LDD - replaced by custom made front consisting of Slope 45 Roof Tile bricks. - Black cheese slopes 50746 left aside the engine as they do not fit into the black and white arrows ('Pet Shop problem'). - Missing decoration (black frame) on Cockpit Window 62360/13099. - Minifig body decorations: only dark green sweater and medium blue blouse are correct, other four are best fitting replacements. - Minifig head decorations: all correct except granddad (best fitting replacement). - Glass for Frame 1x2x3 (60602) does not attach to Train Window 1x2x3 (4035) in LDD . Replaced with Glass for Train Window 2x3 (4036). - Black plates 1x4 left hanging under the undercarriages of the wagons due to collision error with Orange Flat Tiles 2x4 (it is possible to fit te plates by adjusting the angle of the orange plates, but then is no longer possible to fit the undercarriage to the wagon due to collision error of Technic Bearing Plates 2x2 with the Orange Chassis Plate 92339.... ). EDIT 1: Arrows on the sides of the engine fixed, thanks to Superkalle . EDIT 2: Roof fronts 13269 corrected with LDD 4.3.6.

4644 – Marina – Theme: City / Harbour [bricklink] [brickset] 4644 LXF Notes: - Missing FOIL 45X95MM, WINDSURFER "NO.1" (93383) - no replacement. - Missing MAST 10M W/BALL (6076) - replaced by custom build surfboard mast with Technic elements. - Missing decoration for black minifig bodies of diver and boat driver. - Different decoration for minifig body of surfer. - Some items are scaffolded rather than connected (i.e. life preservers, radar of boat). EDIT: Mast 6076 and missing minifig decoration corrected with LDD 4.3.6

7901 – Airplane Mechanic – Theme: City / Airport [bricklink] [brickset] 7901 LXF

7899 – Police Boat – Theme: City / Police [bricklink] [brickset] 7899 LXF Notes: - Complete with battery-powered engine, ready to bring the villains in your bathtub to justice! - Detachable elements (helicopter, roofs) are grouped separately in the lxf.

7893 – Passenger Plane – Theme: City / Airport [bricklink] [brickset] 7893 LXF Notes: - Missing decoration on minifig body of airport ground crew member - Missing prints on aircraft fuselage parts (cockpit, plane end and rudder) - Different decoration for minifig face of passenger with red jacket 4933 – Street Sweeper – Theme: City / Construction [bricklink] [brickset] 4933 LXF

From the range of official sets that are missing in this topic because no one wants to build them in LDD as essential parts are not available... 7944 – Fire Hovercraft – Theme: City / Fire [bricklink] [brickset] 7944 LXF Notes: - Black Hovercraft Bottom 18x24x3 (57915) not in LDD. Replaced by custom build hovercraft bottom (grouped separately in the LXF).

Yep, fellas, build from pictures!! But not just blurry outside only pics, but hi-res pictures from the set in different stages of completion, whom @Mostlytechnic was so very kind to provide with his set review that you all can find here. Without those detailed insides I wouldn't have gotten anywhere close! Anyway, thanks for the kind words.

Splendid review, MostlyTechnic! :thumbup: Especially the photographs are great. I really envy you for already having had this great new set in hand! Based on your excellent photos, I was able to build this set (98% correct) digitally in LDD. For the LXF-file, see here.

Since it is not allowed to post LXFs of not-yet-released sets in the 'Official LEGO Sets in LDD'-thread, here is one in a separate topic. Why? Because it is such a great new model , including so much creative building techniques! Set 10233 Horizon Express (in the Creator Expert range) is not yet released (due January 2013). But both the official promo phtographs as well as the information provided in the splendid :thumbup: review by Mostlytechnic (look it up here) contain enough clues about the construction of this 'TGV-lookalike'. So here it is in LDD: Horizon Express LXF Note: - Build from pictures - so I am not in a postion to claim any correctness. According to the set contents on the box, I used 98% of the bricks (only 23 out of 1351 I was not able to place). Uncertainty is mainly due to unknown insides of roofs, undercarriages etcetera. - All seperable units (bogeys, roofs, cars) are grouped separately in the LXF. Makes it easier to look at the detailed interiors! Known errors: - Black Roof Front 4x6x1 not in LDD (not even on Bricklink yet!), so replaced by a custom made front consisting of Slope 45 Roof Tile bricks. - Black cheese slopes 50746 left aside the front part as they do not fit into the black and white arrows (so-called 'Pet Shop problem'). - Missing decoration (black frame) on Cockpit Window 62360. - Minifig body decorations: only dark green sweater and medium blue blouse are correct, other four are best fitting replacements. - Minifig head decorations: all correct except granddad (best fitting replacement) - Not sure whether the glass (4036) used for Black Train Windows (4035) is used in the actual set (the picture on the box shows 'flat' glass, not the 'pre-formed' 4036).

I am not sure you are looking for an existing part. As far as I know, there is no combination of axle and pin larger than the 6562/43093. There are three Technic connector parts that are longer (6558/32556 and 32054), but none of them have an axle part.

I noticed that during the build of the set. Actually I was surprised that LDD allowed the brick to fit, as I knew it was an illegal building method I had encountered in other City trucks as well (such as 7990 Cement Mixer). But here's the reason why I left the Technic brick out and aside the truck. Yes, LDD will allow it to snap in, but if you save the thus amended lxf, close LDD and reopen LDD with this lxf, it will (sometimes, not always..... ) recognise it as a misplaced brick and remove it. So to speak: the illegal build and the possible error warning made the lxf unacceptable according to my own quality control standards....

I agree, Superkalle. It's not designed, but creative and is used quite often and for some time now. I myself have come across several times, for example in the posted sets 4556 Train Station (turnstile) and recently in 7994 LEGO City Harbour (navigation radar on port side of the ship's bridge roof).

@Masta'Blasta': Yep all were in there before. Except maybe one, and that is the one on the left (three white/silver Gravity Games logos) torso. As it is not in the decoration menu nor in @Aanchir his reference lxf, can you please share an lxf with this decorated torso in it?

Welcome to the Forum, Inferno96return! With regards to your segmented rope: no need to request it, as it is already in LDD. Take a look for Design ID / Part no. 63141 ('String w. Coupl. Points 20M'). It is even flexible in LDD, you can bend and twist it with the flex tool. For the other parts: I agree with them having to be in LDD.
