Problem has been reported here. - Crane Car: -- No rope -- Green Train Window 2x6x2 (6567) not in LDD; replaced with Transparant Brown Windscreen 2x6x2 (4176) - Red Forklift Truck: -- Medium Stone Round Brick 2x2x2 (30361) does not fit onto Black Plate 1x2 with Single Stud (3794). Correct placement of tank is done by scaffolding. Problem has been reported here. EDIT 1: Amended for LDD 4.2.5. Bug with Round Brick 30361 is fixed - brick now fits onto plate. EDIT 2: Amended for LDD 4.3.5. Bug with Buffer 45708 is fixed - it now fits onto the 9V Train Motor correctly. Also Lamp Brick 6035 corrected. EDIT 3: Amended for LDD 4.3.6. [KEY TOPIC] LDD 4 Bugs and brick errors
Sjuip replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Another problem with a stud versus a technic hole. I don't know whether this has been reported yet. I encountered this one while building the Red Forklift, that is part of Set 7898 Cargo Train, in LDD (4.1.8 Extended). On the back of the forklift, a tank is fitted onto Plate 1x2 with Single Stud (3794). The tank consists of Round Brick 2x2x2 (30361, aka Robot Body). LDD does not allow this stud-in-technic hole connection. See screenshot. It is supposed to be legal build, see building instruction for Set 7898 Book 7, Page 7. -

Boundary (?) problem with older train buffer (45708). While trying to build the locomotive engine of set 7898 (Green Cargo Train), I encountered a problem with the original buffer with plough (45708). I does not want fit with two studs on 9V Train Engine (70358). LDD 4.1.8 only allows a fit one stud deep (see upper left part of picture). Newer train buffers with plough (64414 and 91992, the ones with the enclosed magnets) fit correctly onto the 9V Train Engine (also see upper right part of picture). Same for the (three) different types of train buffers without plough - no problems there. It is legal build - see sets 4512 and 7898. EDIT This problem has been solved in LDD version 4.3.5 -

4894 Mythical Creatures - Theme: Creator 8-in-1 set: so eight versions Notes: - Cloth Sail Triangular 15 x 22 (design id 56206) not available in LDD. Therefore these are missing from versions 1 (wings), 7 (clothing) and 8 (wings). - Transparant Fiber Optic Cable 20L (x400) replaced with Outer Cable 76257 in Transparant Colour. As cable is not flexible in LDD, it does not fit in version 1 and is therefore placed separately next to the model. - Otherwise all bricks and colours are correct (checked against actual set). Nice work on the Köf! Can you share the lxf file on this model? Just for your information: the Köf was also part of the models that you could build with LEGO Set 10183 - Hobby Train. The lxf for that model of the Köf can be found here: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AndyC/LDD/Trains/10183/27_loco.lxf See also http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62820&view=findpost&p=911742

Here's another couple of sets. 6420 Mail Carrier - Theme: Town 6420 LXF Definitely one of more complicated sets but: the only known set (according to Peeron and Bricklink) with bike 4719 in yellow... Notes: - different decorations on minifig body and face - missing decoration (mail horn) on mailbox door 7248 Digger - Theme: City 7248 LXF Notes: - treads 71372 won't fit on rims 32007 - minifig without decoration on body and with alternative decoration for face - no stickers EDIT: LXF corrected for LDD 4.3.5, where treads now do fit on the rims. 7902 Doctor's Car - Theme: City 7902 LXF Notes: - missing decoration on minifig body - no stickers- 5,046 replies

Theme: City Set: 7237 Police Station This is the version without the Lighted Minifig (also referred to as set 7237-2) 7237 LXF Notes: - Major issue: the Baseplate (51542 Baseplate Raised 32x48x6 with Level Front) is missing (not present in LDD 4.1.8 ...). So maybe that makes this an incomplete lxf? Anyway, by using scaffolding, the buildings are placed correctly, so that the baseplate could fit right underneath if it (ever) becomes available in LDD - One minifig torso is incorrect (police uniform should be with red tie, not blue as only one present in LDD) - Minifig faces of two of the three officers in regular uniform are different, rest is correct - Used identical items (newer design id) for some doors/windows/bricks - Missing decoration (fingerprints) op 3068 White Tile 2x2 (on desk on first floor of left part of the building) - No stickers (of course) Different objects within the set (buildings, helicopter, car etc.) are grouped within the lxf. Grouping is according to the instruction booklets. Model is checked against an actual set. EDIT: Baseplate 51542 replaced by custom base. Credits to penguinz and petero for providing this custom baseplate that was used in the lxf for set 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull- 5,046 replies

I am awfully sorry. If I had known that it was already posted, I wouldn't have taken the trouble, as Toa's lxf checks out perfectly OK (proper blue, tan and black). Next time I will check my browser search function twice.... I will edit corrections.- 5,046 replies

(1) Here is a Bonus version of Set 5867 Super Speedster (theme Creator). The instructions for this version are available at the Creator webpage. EDIT: This a duplicate; original by Toa_Of_Justice is posted here 5867 Bonus LXF (2) For JunkStyleGio: I used your lxf of set 5867 as a basis (so that I did not need to sort out the bricks myself...). I noted that your lxf is not completely correct. Some findings: - Some pieces are Dark Stone Grey 199 which should actually be Black 26 (mainly Plates) - The blue parts should be Medium Blue 102 (not Dark Azur 321) - The tan parts should be Brick Yellow 5 (not Light Nougat 283) - Most of the Round Plates 1x1 should be Medium Stone Grey (not Transparant) - This set has Plate with Bow 61068 instead of 88930 (so without bottom tubes) No hard feelings - if working from instructions (especially pdf), colours can be hard to distinguish. If I do not have the actual set at hand, I always use the inventories from Peeron and BrickLink and compare those with the listing that is available from the Lost/Missing Parts sections of TLG Consumer Service webpages.- 5,046 replies

[KEY TOPIC] LDD 4 Bugs and brick errors
Sjuip replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
My son owns the set - that's why I came across it. Just checked and Toa_of _Justice is right: the design ID is 2578. I already had noticed that the geometry on the TLG Lost Parts site is the same as in LDD - anyway it does not resemble the tow-ball fitting on the actual part. Maybe they used the model in LDD for the picture at the Lost Parts site? -
Question about 6016 LATTICE BAR
Sjuip replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I think that 6016 is incorrectly modelled in LDD, probably because it is an older piece that was no longer in use at the time they started modelling for LDD. I do not own pieces of 6016, but looking at the picture in Peeeron, 6016 certainly looks different from 62113. 6016 does not have protrusions at the corners, but in the middle of each side. See http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6016?img=9363 -

Yet another bug. Again, I do not know whether it has been reported yet, but it concernes a rather unique element, which so far (according to Peeron) has only been used in set 7242 Street Sweeper. Part 2578 Shield Box is not modelled correctly, therefore it does not want to connect to the ball of part 3729. See screenshot For picture of actual element see http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2578?img=19246 -
Duplicates in LDD database
Sjuip replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
On the duplicate train tracks: Tracks 53400 and 53401 are OK, as they have a modelled underside (which 74746/74747 have not). This allows 53400/53401 - like the real stuff - to be connected to ground plates (i.e. from a railway station or road crossing). Downside: TLC should then add corresponding switch tracks, as the present 75541/75542 do not connect with 53400/53401 (they do with 747476/74747). More to the plus on 53400/53401: they connect to the flexible track (64022) -

7903 - Rescue Helicopter - Theme: City 7903 lxf Notes: - No string, so Hook with Ball is added separately. - Correct decorations on minifig faces. No decorations on minifig bodies (proper ones not available in LDD). - LDD has a problem with attaching the rotorblades correctly (reported here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47953&view=findpost&p=1128266 ). In real life, just remove the purple bricks that are inserted in the blades. EDIT: Amended for LDD 4.2.5/4.3.5. Rotorblade bug is now fixed - blades are correctly fitted.- 5,046 replies

[KEY TOPIC] LDD 4 Bugs and brick errors
Sjuip replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Another bug. I don't know if it's been reported yet. It seems to be a boundary problem with part 30407 Flap. I came across this when trying to build Rescue Helicopter 7903 in LDD (4.1.8, Extended). Apparently, LDD does not allow another brick to be attached to underside of part 30407, if it is protruding beyond the positions. On the helicopter, it does (checked with real bricks) in order to form a rotorblade. See screenshot. -

I'm reporting a bug that I encountered while building 10027 Train Shed in LDD. I do not know whether this has been reported yet. The white bar that is supposed to be the axle of the red lathe, does not fit all the way into metallic tube 71075. Instead, it stops in the stud, leaving it protruding at the right end of the lathe. See picture - white bar is coloured green for clarity. For lxf of 10027 Train Shed see http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226&view=findpost&p=965039
