  1. Thanks for a lovely review. I wanted this squirrel even before I saw the first pics, and expecting it to be very cartoony I'm not disappointed. Her eyes are what make her too cute to stand for some but I agree that other Lego animals are too big anyway. She's very welcomed in my Lego City. The bow on the tail is weird but the suirrel doesn't seem to mind ;) I really like the tree house as well. Nice colors, almost no pink. I like it that the polybags don't include the minidolls, just the animals. I'll surely buy more than one and while I want lots of squirrels I don't need multiples of identical minidolls. The combined structure from the instructions may seem strange but I like how it shows you can build other things and not just play with the finished build forever. It's like seeing the alternate constructions on the back of the boxes many years ago. The last picture is great :)
  2. Great idea! I have to agree that Rudolph the Red Beret Reindeer is the best but they're all really excellent. As for the Santa himself my fave is Quick Nick, followed by The Father of the North. Love them all!
  3. This is brilliant! I like Jem and the Holograms and your sets are so great and instantly recognizable. How nice of you to create these minifigs and sets for your wife, that's a wonderful gift.
  4. I don't know this anime but I absolutely love the building. It's so simple but it looks so great thanks to all the different colors of the door, even the orange roof looks so nice. I especially like the look of the colourful window frames.
  5. Really nice greenhouse, so similar to my granparents' one. My minifigs could use a greenhouse too, even though their climate is so much better than what's outside my window. Love the Triffid!
  6. I really like your conversion of Olivia's house. Like you said the house is already stackable but somehow I never though about putting it between other buildings. Olivia finally has more space in her room and the bigger kitchen is great. Love the stairs.
  7. I love them, just like the rest of your minifig vigs. That's an excellent way to display the CMFs and you're very creative.
  8. There's not a single set that I wouldn't like, I'm going insane just looking at the promo pics The new sets are better then I expected, even the Rehearsal Stage is not that bad and the collectible animals are just too cute. I really like it that the girls finally got some swimwear (they looked rather stupid wearing full clothes on the beach or in Emma's pool) and there are so many great new outfits. I love the karate and football sets, excellent. I know I'll hoard all the polybag pets, especially the squirrel (yes! thank you, TLG) and the turtle (so sweet it melts my eyes). I was hoping for a grey bunny and here it is! Lovely. I like it that there are no minidolls, just the animals. Do I see the hedgehog in two colors? (not my picture) Hedgehog family?

  10. The mosaic is brilliant! Now, if only it wanted to stay like that on the wall and not just on the floor I'm really interested in your dollhouse, it looks beautiful, I'd love to see more (did I miss it somewhere in the forum?)
  11. I just love the whole scene. Nice log cabin and the pine trees are excellent! Great details, I like the antlers, the candle inside the cabin, the chimney and smoke.

  13. You know, I like Barbie... Not her cheapest $5 pink incarnations but still... and I was hoping for something much better. How naive of me. It's so awfully pink and I don't see anything there to build (maybe a few small pieces, though a good point about Scala being similar). I was stupid enough to think that I could take some MB sets and pieces and add them to Heartlake City (blasphemy, I know! ). But I don't see these Barbie sets being a real competition for Friends as I thought when I first heard of it. This is exactly Polly Pocket-style and nothing more. As much as I like all things cloned these poor Barbie figures can only dream about a house like Olivia's House. I don't think it's going to get any backlash, that's just Barbie playsets scaled down. Mattel has been accused of stereotyping girls for so many years that nobody cares any more. Thanks for sharing the picture.
  14. These are amazing, they look so real! I'd love to put some of them on my desk and wait when people realize they're not real Congrats to you and your mother!
  15. That was available in June In Poland as a freebie with "Winx" magazine. 22 minutes long, mine is in Hungarian, Czech and Polish, and with a different cover. I haven't really watched it yet but from what I remember there'a guy there that Olivia has a crush on I really hoped that it means we're going to get some male minidolls :(
  16. Thank you so much! You've no idea how happy that made me, especially that it's my first creation posted online. And it's the first time in my life that I've actually won anything Congratulations to all the winners! And thank you for the competition, it was so much fun seeing all the entries, they were really excellent. I hope it'll convince even more people of how great the Friends line is. And the prizes, that's insane, believe it or not but I don't own any of these sets yet (and seeing how fast Friends sell out in my area I was starting to lose hope to ever get them all). I'm so excited I won't be able to sleep tonight Love the pink tag. Thank you for all the votes and for the contest.

  21. Rinse and Repeat - for thinking that automatic pet wash is the best way to groom Friends pets and turning this idea into a MOC (my first ever shown online)
  22. I love the colors and all the details. The pool is great but the rooms inside are my favorite part, excellent. All my childhood I wanted to build a ship like that; I'd take the hull piece from 4011 and build a huge structure on top of it, which was quite scary. But your creation is what I had on my mind :)
  23. Klaus-Dieter, thanks so much for the Friends news. My first thought was that list of sets that whung posted above, I'd love them all to be Friends set (squirrel!). And I love the sound of that pet shop, I'm always looking for more buildings for my city and Friends sets are a really nice source of them (unlike Lego City which should be called Lego Police State). That pool sounds quite interesting too. It's a little strange there are no big sets but it'll make my wallet much happier.
  24. It's much better that 3186 Emma's Horse Trailer for me. 3186 is too pink & blue for my taste while your trailer and car have better colors, though still bright and friendly. And you didn't forget the pitchfork for all the horse poo

    SoF: Pet Wash

Thanks everybody for your kind words It was really fun to build for the minidolls and their overly cute pets, I just love the entire range of Friends sets. Sorry for such low quality of the pics but I get up too early and come back home too late to get enough sunlight for picture taking. My avatar pic is from one of those books that come with minifigs (Ameet or other publishers). I buy them more for the cute graphics inside and fun comics than the minifigs This particular pic comes from the "Harbour" book. <-- "Rinse and Repeat" I've just noticed that, love it!
