Same here. I hope that if the Black suit is in this film, that it just sets Venom up for another film.
-
A lot of Amazing Spider-man 2 rumours at the moment. Not only do we have electro and Rhino, but apparently Black cat and Venom will be involved aswell. 4 villains seem a bit overkill to me.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I strongly disagree. The cosmic cube escape, Quinjet, Spidercycle and Chopper showdown sets are all incredible. Their a perfect blend between price, great figures and good vehicles/parts. To me the Helicarrier was only saved from the worst set in my opinion because of the Hulk fig. I haven't been able to get the Bugle yet but I'm looking forward to getting it in March, so until then I can't really be sure what its like. -

Also we don't know how long the Patriot suit will be in the film for. I guessing the grey suit gets a respray or an upgrade about half way through. I know that LEGO will sometimes include minifigures in sets that don't appear in that scene, but perhaps given the scenes these sets are based on he won't be involved in. The ultimate showdown may just be a very personal fight between just Stark and Mandarin. Plus I doubt Rhodey is In the mansion scene since Pepper is having to wear an Iron man suit. I'm not sure if Rhodey is involved in the airforce one scene but if we get a future set based on it we could get him. Although I'm not sure if LEGO would be allow to make an airforce one model. The grey suit is certainly new as its different from the Iron man 2 War machine. The arc reactor in the second film is round, where as in this film its square. Plus in the Prelude comic Tony upgrades the suit to this version we are seeing in the set. -

I wasn't expecting much looking at the price, but the mansion itself still to me looks small. I was expecting the helicopter to be more along the lines of the Jokers's helicopter. To me its very similar in size and most likely pieces to Deadpool's. I think LEGO could have easily made the chopper 100 pieces less, and used them to make the mansion 2 stories tall. In fairness the inside of the mansion ( from what I could see ) looks really good. All those trans blue screens, and the desk. I'm also really pleased they gave us the two pepper versions! -

Meh... the Minfigures look mainly ok, apart from The Mandarin who looks terrible. In terms of the sets the only one that looks good is the Extremis set, the rest are terrible. The mansion looks great for improvements and is great as a starting point, but overall isn't great. The flame buggy looks awful, I'm really getting a bit upset with the this years sets. LEGO seem to be more interested now in making the figs look good but, selling them with what might aswell be a creator bucket. While they are good for modders, those of us who are not great at modding or lack the bricks to do so get left out in the cold. -

That's who I was forgetting. I knew their was someone I couldn't remember. Also maybe Colossuss, I know he's not really huge but he is 7ft tall. Maybe not a big fig but at least a medium fig. Like dog pound or woody ( but a little bit more bulked out. -

I think a X- mansion is in the works, however I believe it will next years Direct set. Out of all the places in the Marvel universe the X-mansion, is the perfect choice. Later this year I expect an extra summer set but I think it will, be based around one of two things. Either Thor the dark world, or the upcoming video game. Which ever one is picked I'm guessing that the other will come out in the winter wave. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I personally think he should. Certain characters easily become distorted and lose their distinctive appearance when, designed incorrectly. The Hulk is a prime example of this. Sure he has limited leg movement but overall, the fig to me is a perfect balance between LEGO and the character. His head is shaped like a minifigure's and so are his feet to a certain extent. Certain characters like Hulk, Juggernaunt, the Thing, Rhino, Thanos and many others need to be big figs. Whether that's like the Hulk or like Dogpound from TMNT, they lose what the character represents. Other characters get their unique features like Claws, Shields, Staffs, Webs,Tenticles and hammers. By not giving other characters the same fairness is not me a true injustice. Hopefully only Six days till we get some pictures of the figures and their sets. I know we've seen two Ironmen suits, Warmachine and one MOS set but i need more! -

REVIEW: 76004 Spider-Man: Spider-Cycle Chase
Sam892 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Picked this set up yesterday. I was holding off buying any of the new 2013 lego sets until, I could make a trip to my nearest LEGO store ( VIP points and I'm not a big fan of postage costs). However I saw this in my local supermarket and gave in. I new this set would be incredible, but as soon as I opened the box my mind was blown. The Figures are incredible and both vehicles are amazing. By far one of the best Superhero sets, 3 Figures, 2 vehicles and all for £20. The only problem I had was that the bags were numbered, but that's just my personal tastes in not likely that. Can't wait to pick up the bugle in March, when I head to Milton Keynes LEGO store.- 62 replies

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Sam892 replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
While I'm enjoying all the behind the scenes stuff, I would rather get a trailer. After watching the last video I really want Stan Lee. -
Same here. I didn't like Superior #1 it was just so depressing , however I like #2 only because the real Peter was on every page. Hopefully by #10 everything will be back to normal. This week there wasn't much out that interested me so I went back and picked up a few of the #1s I'm missing. I picked up: Superior Spider-man #2 Uncanny X-force #1 Cable and the X-force #1 Morbius the Living Vampire #1 And in the back section I found Ultimate Fantastic Four #1.

Same here I've already drawn some sketches about how I think it should look, and I'm experimenting on LDD. I have bought the set yet. I'm heading to the MK LEGO store in March and will get both the new Spidey sets then. Also if the rumours are true it will be double VIP points aswell then, so it will be worth the wait. -

I'm thinking that maybe tony gets the shrapnel removed from his chest and that's why this suit has a different arc reactor and is being called Heartbreaker. Just a guess so I could be miles away. -

Not sure about the new fig. It's great to see him great blue eyes, chin detail, feet detail and a blue arc reactor. However it doesn't look like the mark 42 in the trailer, which to me at least is more gold. -
Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Sam892 replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I'd rather have Steve Blum as his voice, although I'm sure Jackman would be great. Patrick Stewart voiced Xavier in the X-men legends games so I'm sure he would be up for it. Looking at all the videos the extra characters we have seen or at the very least they have talked about are: Magneto The Thing Green Goblin I think I saw Mr Fantastic in a video as well. Plus all the figures from the 2013 sets. So including all the 2012, 2013, comic con exclusives and the small list above this it makes 25 characters. That's excluding the aliens and including the Tony stark figure that we saw in one video. -
I just got back from my local Tesco's and they technically had the new sets. They had new labels everywhere, and all the new sets were listed on the shelves. However they hadn't been put out yet. So they will be on sale tomorrow. Some of the interesting ones they had listed were; Barc speeder, AT-RT, Daily Bugle, Spidercycle, Batboat and the Headhunter.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I personally think the reason that nearly all the DC sets are Batman based is very simple, Batman sells. Not only that but DC doesn't have the luxury that marvel has in terms of characters. With DC the majority of the public really only know three heroes. Sure they may know the names of Aquaman, Green Lantern and Flash but they really know very little about their, back grounds, rogues and even powers. Marvel has had lots of success with their characters compared to this, everyone knows Spider-man, Hulk, the X-men and The Avengers. Sure the movies help and DC have really only stuck with Superman and Batman. At the moment shows like Green Lantern and Young Justice are helping the younger generation, find out about these characters. However its hard to compete with Marvel who have had success in the 60's, 80's, 90's and especially the 00's with their less known characters. LEGO obviously know this, if they made a set with just Aquaman and Black manta it wouldn't sell very well. Especially when up against other sets in the Superheroes theme. If I saw a shelf with Batman vs joker, Wolverine vs Magneto, spider-man vs Venom and Aquaman vs Black manta, the last one I would pick would be the Aquaman set. These sets are obviously a compromise for everyone, we get Aquaman but he has too piggyback on Batman. Which to me is fine we're only a year into this theme and hopefully in three years time we can get other heroes and their villains in their own sets. However DC have to play their part and continue to promote their characters like what their currently doing. -
I'm not too fussed about only having four films. It's a shame we won't get Hulk or Antman, but I'm guessing they will both have cameos and parts in Avengers 2. I'm more interested to know if Phase three will be the last phase. Hopefully not as there's so many great story's still to tell. I'm also thinking that Avengers 3 may mark the start of the New Avengers. It could be easily made up of Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and even Spidey. Hopefully they won't completely replace the original line up, but will just team up with them every now and then.

It doesn't mean we won't get other versions of the character. There's six Comic Con figs three of which all have other variations. Jean grey has tons of costumes and I believe we will eventually see her in a set. I'm lucky enough to have gotten Phoenix and Black suit Spidey as a suprise Birthday present. However I still believe that we will see her as Marvel girl or some other outfit in the future. I'm hoping they do a similar thing with the Marvel video game and make a movie out of it. For another Exculsive figure I would happily buy it. Perhaps Peter Parker with a ripped shirt and his Spider tee under Neath? Haha. -
I'm looking forward to Phase Three. Hopefully the line up will be Captain America 3, Thor 3, Doctor Strange, Antman and Planet Hulk. I wouldn't mind swapping Thor or Cap for a heroes for hire film.

I'm not massively excited for MOS stuff but, I'm looking forward to some military figures? At least that's what I imagine after seeing the trailer and, mention of Col Hardy. That blog disappointed me a bit. They glossed over the Superheroes stuff very quickly. Also with the whole Exculsive Figures thing. I think that asking as no new Molds are needed then LEGO wouldn't have a problem producing it. After all if it means their going to sell more DVDs why wouldn't they. I can see why they chose Clark Kent as the LEGO Batman 2 story revolved around Supes a lot more than any other DC heroes. And although the Fig is useable for really one one thing it's still great to get a new face print. -
LEGO's Jabba's Palace, Star Wars, and accusations of racism

The whole conflict argument is pointless to me. I know someone who refused to give there child any toys with guns. So the kid just made guns with his fingers.
