  1. Quite s good haul this week, I got: I just don't want to go home feeling like shit again, its happened too many times whether its because of you, Patrick, Dom, Jamie or whoever. Wolverine and the X-men #24 Uncanny Avengers #3 A+X#4 Nightwing#16 Action Comics #0 Marvel Graphic novels Collection issue 29 Iron man: Demon in a bottle volume 1 Nightwing was a good read but I felt that it should have come out before Batman#16. Wolverine and the X-men was great, its good to see the All new X-men staring to make there way into this title. Uncanny Avengers was ok but it's the last one I'm getting. Same with A+X I'm cutting these two titles to make room for anything else that maybe coming. I found Action Comics at the back and it was really good to see Supes origins. It's the first Superman comic I've read so, I might start picking it up now in trade. I haven't read demon in a bottle as I'm a bit behind on the GN front I'm currently read Captain Britain a crooked world which I'm really enjoying.
  2. The Daily Mail is the worst paper in the world. I can't believe LEGO replied to this, its such a ridiculous statement. Just goes to show that no matter where you are in the world, there's always some idiot who rally's the uninformed against something they no very little about. Then again if he doesn't want Jabbas palace set he can happily give it to me haha.
  3. All these behind the scenes trailers just make me want a trailer more. I was thinking about some of the playable characters and I really hope we get Captain Britain.
  4. I really hope that Mandarin doesn't have ten rings. To me they would become more of an inconvenience. I would hate having to store ten rings some where in my collection. They would be more of a hassle.
  5. We won't get any. The LEGO both is completely blocked all the way around. This year even the roof was covered so that anyone on the floor above couldn't see in. It's a not a walk in both either. I believe you need an appointment with LEGO and the LEGO employees go around with you. They explain each set but they would stop any pictures being taken right away. On the 10th of February its the NY toyfair so we will have pictures from that, and the Brick Show is doing a video of all the sets there. Before then is the Nuremberg Toyfair so we will get pictures then but I can't remember the date for that one. I know its before NY however.
  6. Interesting to see that Iron man line up. 76006- Good to see Warmachine and Killian. Not mentioned is suit which it is with the other two sets. So I assume this takes place before Stark has made the mark 42. In that case I'm guessing its the Mark VII. 76007- I didn't think that LEGO would add Stark, its good that they did and its good to see the Mark 42+ Pepper. 76008- What's interesting to me hear is that it says the Iron man fig is Exculsive. Hopefully something more than just a different face for Stark. Maybe a Battle damaged version or a Stealth suit? So by the looks of the Three sets we get: Warmachine Mark II Killian Iron man mark VII Iron man Mark 42 Pepper Pots Mandarin Green fig Exculsive Iron man And possibly a different Mandarin. Not bad for three sets that total to about £75.
  7. My guess is that Iron Patriot was absent from the last set as its most likely a big spoiler. What ever his role is in the battle could easily be given away. Much like how Hawkeye was spoiled in the avengers. Both sets he came in it was clear he was under Loki's control. If he's not in the last set then I'm guessing he will be either a comic con Exculsive or a promo like Hulk was last year. Hopefully over the two a store Promo. I have no problem spending £25 on a set to get him. I'll won't be getting all the sets straight of the bat.
  8. I really don't mind what we get in sets as long as it looks good, contains great figs and is a great build. So far to me all the Superhero sets fit that bill. In terms of the jeep, I find it really useful. SHEILD vehicles are present in every Marvel franchise. It's fits perfectly with Spidey sets or X-men stuff aswell. The only drawback to it is it only fits one fig. I don't buy to many large sets but it would be nice to get a few in the next few waves.
  9. I think the Cap set had three figs since, two of them were just generic aliens. If it was another main character then I would have thought it would only contain two.
  10. It's been incredible right? I'm only picking up Batman and Nightwing regularly but I might try and get the others ( Batgirl, Batman & Robin, Detective comics ect ) just for this. Also I really want to know what's for dinner, anything that can get a reaction for Penguin and Two face must be terrible.
  11. Agreed the $20 sets are incredible. Three figs and a great build. Out of the five released so far I can't think of one that's a disappointment.
  12. Those prices don't sound 100% correct. Guess we will find out Tuesday anyway. Those prices don't sound 100% correct. Guess we will find out Tuesday anyway.
  13. Just finished reading all if the Wolverine and the X-men series. I really liked it, its a fun read that's not serious. It's also ties nicely with All New X-men. Out of all the Marvel Now titles the X ones are the best by far.
  14. First off LEGO had the Star Wars licence in 1999. Back then it wasn't owned by Disney, so because it is now LEGO should forget producing themes that are owned by Disney? Star Wars is LEGOs best seller, and before it was bought by Dis LEGO had another contract with Disney. This contract gives them the rights to POP and LR, plus all the Pixar stuff. So by your logic just because Disney has bought a lot of IP that LEGO should start dropping them. News Flash Disney like to buy stuff and they will continue to do so. It doesn't mean that LEGO will start dropping them. In terms of the Starcraft thing, MB is going on this little fad of getting rights to games. It's all because Halo has done so well for them. LEGO has never been interested in rights to SC simple because it doesn't appeal to their core audience. So MB didn't really beat LEGO to the rights, as LEGO has never been interested. On the last point that's what LEGO has said. There's nothing stopping people from uploading a project again.
  15. According to movieweb.com, Hugh Jackman just revealed that EVERY actor who has ever worn a X-men uniform will return for DOFP.
  16. I'm positive they will renew the contract. LEGO most likely only paid for Three years because they weren't sure if the theme was going to sell well. We're only a year in and it seems to be doing great. The only thing that limits it IMO is the release schedule of sets. I'm positive that this line will continue on just like Star Wars has.
  17. Well they made two JP III sets back in 2001, as part of the studios line. Hopefully if we do get some sets LEGO will do what they did with POTC. A few sets in the spring based on JP I - III, and a few in the summer based on JP IV. Thinking about JP IV some more it will be interesting to see what changes with all the new information we have about dinos. We know some of them had feathers so I would love to see them explain this in the film. Maybe all the Frog DNA canceled out the feathers. I'm also interested to see some new Dinosaurs, but I want the T-Rex and Triceratops to duke it out.
  18. Hmm quite interesting. I wouldn't have thought that lego would go to all the trouble over one set. I can remember when the original Batman sets came out in 2006, the US got them 6 months earlier than the UK. Me and my Dad went to MK shopping complex and there was a big convention. Anyway there was a stool there selling these US bat sets and we picked up the Two-face set. The manager at the LEGO store didn't look to pleased, watching everyone come in with sets that weren't supposed to come out for 6 months HaHa.
  19. Oops I did forget them. I know Marvel was interested in trying to get the rights to Galactus and Silver surfer back in a swap for Daredevil, but Fox wanted to use them in the FF reboot. It's a shame that Marvel spread the rights over so many companies. The FF would make a great addition to the CU. Also I can't remember who said it earlier but I don't think we will get any sets based on the new Avengers cartoon. LEGO will most likely want to keep it all CU based for them. Plus Falcon was confirmed to be in Captain America the Winter Solider. So we will most likely get him in next years summer Cap wave. After reading the Winter Solider Graphic Novel, Falcon seems to be Cap's version of Warmachine.
  20. This year Marvel got the Rights back to Daredevil, Blade and Punisher. 20th century was trying to get a new DD movie in production in order to keep the rights but they failed. It was also reported that 20th was interested in making a punisher TV series however, its not been confirmed whether they were. Currently the only Characters that Marvel doesn't have the rights to are X-men and Spider-man. However Marvel did say that the Oscorp building from the Amazing Spider-man was meant to appear in The Avengers movie. However they ran out of time in post production and left it out. So there's still hope for Spidey to join the cinematic Universe. I think the SHEILD TV series will focus a lot on the agents, but may have a lot of story arcs involving an expanded universe. For Years Marvel has been trying to make an Iron Fist movie which at one point had Ray Park interested. In expecting some of the villains to be HYDRA and AIM. I'm also expecting Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as they were meant to be getting a TV series a while back.
  21. I'm surprised this hasn't already been posted but, JP IV has a release date! It's set for June 13th 2014. Personally I think this is great news, with all the new modern tech the Dinosaurs will look incredible. Hopefully the story will be good as JP III wasn't as great as the previous two. Hopefully it will revolve around them having to go back to the Island for something, instead of rescuing a trapped kid. I also hope that the original cast will return. What do you guys think? Great or bad?
  22. There's a lot of rumours about the S.H.E.I.L.D series right now. It's expected to air a pilot in September. One of the biggest rumours is that Matt Murdock will start appearing as a lawyer and slowly Daredevil will appear. So if that's true LEGO will have to make sets! Just so we can get DD.
  23. It was pretty good. It was only a 30 min episode though so that disappointed me as it was a 60 min one with season 1. The animated looked slightly different ( higher budget? ) but nothing to different. Nick Fury was designed closer to his Cinematic self and Coulson is wearing what Nick had last season. Overall a great start, hoping for some more team ups later on. The kid humours still there but it's better than the last series, not that I minded it in the first. Not to keen on the lizard or many of the other villains. There's a big spread in Superior Spider-man #1. The lizard has few spikes on his head that kind off put me off. So hopefully LEGO will cut them out if they ever make him.
  24. I'm not really impressed by Beware the Batman. No Robin Not really any major villains ( apart from Ras) Not to keen on the new Batmobile. Hopefully LEGO will keep to Comic sets. Also did anyone else see season 2 of Ultimate Spidey has started! I was looking out for potential future sets thoughout the episode. I like Furys new look, slowly looking more like the movie version.
  25. Ye I know but that's what I would rather have. Only a few weeks away from February toyfair, so I guess we will find out then. LEGO could still surprise they have before.
