FYI for anyone who has only dealt with star wars figs and will want to display Summer Vader, get a couple of these pieces. They let you stick a fig with fins to a baseplate.

I think they are playing up the mystery this year. The HP calendar shows only 2 of its figs. I do think it's safe to assume the rest of the figs will be generic / repeat figs. Out of curiosity do people prefer the silly figs or the exclusives like Antoc, TLJ Luke, Pit Droid? I kind of miss getting one new random in universe character / outfit in the calendars.

We’ve gotten three of him I believe. An older one in an x-wing and then the more recent helmet on a snowspeeder pilot and an x-wing pilot. (Technically the newest is supposed to be a snowspeeder Wedge, but lego stopped differentiating the flight suits)

Agreed it looks as good as the second kylo ren shuttle which I think was one of the better recent non ucs sets.

It looks like obi has fully brown legs with the tan part printed on. Luckily the pic of the actual fig appears to have a solid print that isn’t allowing the brown to show through. I like it a lot more than when they print gigs like ep IV obi or Owen.

I was not a person who cared in the slightest, but yes, the reveals of sets we had already seen made people mad I guess, and I think full grown adults were expecting an event that was less tailored to children and teens than it was. Lego is definitely embracing their adult community these days but at the end of the day Lego is a children's toy first, hobby second soooo I don't know why people set such high bars all the time.

I thought I'd just put out a PSA that Target is currently selling Thor's Hammer for 80$ online in the US. Most Marvel sets seem to be about 20% off right now, but I'm actually quite surprised to see a store exclusive that cheap that soon.

I just rewatched the Cad banes scenes from Bad Batch. I forgot how many pieces of armor he had in that show, even more than in CW. I hope they give him Beskar Mando / BoBF Boba level printing for his arms because that will only be the bare minimum needed to do him justice. Even with the seemingly small amount of figs being offered in the set, between Cad, Todo, and Omega there could be 3-5 new moulds required. It depends how they do Todo and whether or not the mould for bane's respirator were destroyed.

So two of the Obi-Wan figs are listed with printed cloak. I hope if it's like the one on Ep IV Obi-Wan they go the extra mile with side printing or dual molding because the unfinished look of that fig looks bad at any angle that isn't head on. The representation of Ep II Obi-Wan with cloak in The Skywalker Saga Game is designed like it was dual molded. (Not saying that the game is indicative of how the actual fig will be done) The UCS Razor Crest rumor persists. As cool as the set could be, it would have to essentially come with MBS level of good / new figs for me to shell out that kind of money for it when I have a perfectly decent play-scale representation of the ship. If it has literally every detail the ship has in an interior maybe I'd get it. I still feel like either the price or the ship are wrong.

I think it's safe to say the torso / armor of the old Grand inquisitor works for this live action one. There's some controversy about the general look of the face make up they've given the character. Personally if the performance has the same weight that Jason Isacc's voice acting gave the character i don't care if he looks different. That being said, I feel a fig is inevitable, do you think lego will use the same or almost the same print as last time, would people even want them to? Obviously it would be cool if he gets his skull candy or what ever those earmuffs are Lobot style. Also I doubt the helmet mould from 2015 will return.

So ya know that $200 silver leg that might have been mentioned once or twice? Got to the last bag of my Landspeeder to find out that specifically the silver leg on my 3PO is misprinted . Like literally the side printing is printed over the front printing and the side is blank. I'm sure C-3PO could tell me the odds of that happening. Lego is sending a new one straight from Denmark because their Customer Service is amazing, but I'm a broken record about their quality control growing worse and worse.

Looking at all the pics of Groot I only get the "cursed" vibe from the image they decided to use for the front of the box. Something to do with the light reflecting off his "nose" area. Almost every other picture / render of the set looks spot on in my opinion.

Why does anybody spend money on anything? Because they want it. I bought the UCS TIE, A-Wing, and Landspeeder at full price each simply because of their minifigs. I could have paid less for the figs on Brinklink true, i did that for the figs in the UCS Y-Wing and Snowspeeder, have you looked at the prices of those figs though? At minimum you're shelling out half the price of each of those sets to get the figs, why not pay the whole sum and get the other 99% of the parts that came in the set. Many of us admire these sets but would not make the move to purchase for the model alone even when we can afford them.

Should have vowed to boycott Lego when they had the audacity to release it in an advent calendar years later!

I think anyone who has collected Lego Star Wars for more than a decade or like i have since its inception should just know by now that there are no truly unbreakable rules to what might be put in /excluded from a set unless it's a legal issue. There are trends but most "trends" and patterns break in less than five years. I think the quote of exclusive figs was taken way too far and came from one designer. reactionary instagram posts and Youtubers are calling legos new comments backtracking, I'd argue Lego should not have said anything on the matter because in reality nothing changed. The exclusive figs in UCS sets are rarely ridiculously desirable outside of their exclusivity, buuuut most UCS sets since they started having figs have had an exclusive or two (I think even if you lump in the MBS only the cantina has included new exclusive molds for figs). Mace and 3PO fit this tradition. A new Cody Would not have. The designer would have been better off not giving his comment and lego would have been better off not giving their recent comment, but I like that as a company they attempt to address fan concerns wether its warranted or not.

I really hope this Fighter Tank is a template for 30-50$ jedi and their clone sets for the next few years. I've just built it, and as many others have said it is one of the few Star Wars sets right now that feels worth it's price tag. I feel the set sort of condenses the best elements of the 501st and AAT sets from 2020, and without getting wishlisty there is potential for this type of set for many clone / jedi units.

Recently tried to purchase an item and found a pretty good price. I placed the order then the seller said they "couldn't find it" so cancelled my order. Two days later the listing was there again for that set in that store but at a nearly 50% price increase. Technically i never paid the store so they probably didn't do anything against the rules but it was super dodgy and unprofessional. i left negative feed back because thats about all i think i can do. I use Bricklink a lot, and this is the first time this has happened. Anybody else have this experience.

Do the in store GWP usually begin on May 1st or are they exclusively May 4th?

Yeah I’m hoping the price goes down after the initial cash grab people are attempting. He’s unique but certainly not worth the 60-80 bucks being asked. As a hard core lego Star Wars fan since it inception I’m annoyed with how it’s growing popularity has effected the secondhand market. (But happy that more people are into lego)

Piet, Will Scotian, R2-BHD, what ever the two red squares two blue square imperial is. I think thats it for non MBS style so nobody except Piet that is really important or named, (And Piet was 11ish years ago). Forgot about the Sandcrawler figs but that set has MBS levels of figs

I'm a bit surprised they didn't include a minifig or two in the trench run set put them in a tiny vignette behind the wall ala C-3PO and R2. The set isn't bad but there isn't any incentive to beyond the diorama. Price of the Trash compactor aside, the others offer more in the way of rarely touched scenes and figs,

Theres a trans red pieces right above Luke that I think is the eye of everyone’s favorite dumpster beast.

At least he has way more readily available options from hundreds of other sets. But yeah I hope they go all out and I think they will.
