  1. Yeah, TRU has the Crater Creeper and the CLS-89. You know the Titan will be here soon just to test our willpower.
  2. Great designs, and brilliant utilization of the generic spaceframe. Did you ever consider making a bus or a taxi? I would really like to see that.
  3. Thanks for doing this review. I really liked watching it. The new Jabba's Sail Barge looks like an alright set, except for those glossy plastic sails. What the hell is that? Desert vehicles should look dusty and rusty. Those sails are too shiny. Maybe some 1200 grit sandpaper would dull them up a bit. Or I could just use the original pieces as templates for custom cloth sails easily enough. You do get a lot of great figs in this set, enough to get Jabba's entourage part way there.
  4. Good ideas, man. This project just keeps getting better.
  5. Got a good price on the 9495 Y-Wing and a 75014 Battle of Hoth to go with it. <-- Super Happy Face
  6. The 7127 seems like something I would've made as a ten year old if I'd had the parts. The 7657 is actually pretty cool, and looks like a beefed up armored walker. The Imperials would've won on Endor if they'd had some of those. The one from 8038 is clearly the most movie accurate, but I look forward to the next one with some nice improvements.
  7. These are great, azuremoon. I think they are more like MINI scale, but awsome none the less!
  8. Detroit vs. Chicago, Hrmm, well I like both teams and am looking forward to seeing Boston go against somebody here.
  9. I'm sorry, but I have to say those are some seriously half-a$$ed crap reviews. Why do people even bother covering subjects they are totally unfamilliar with? Just so embarassing to watch. The other stuff they cover is alright, so maybe they should stick with the yellow fig stuff and leave the licensed subjects to more serious nerds.
  10. It's a really great design. Don't be afraid to experiment with different mecha varities. You may have found something with the techniques that make yours unique.
  11. Love the drones. They look close to the real thing. Great parts usage and shaping, too.
  12. I really like what you've done here with the models. I would really like to see these in real bricks, too.
  13. This looks really good so far. Since you've made such a large back weapon, I would agree the clawed arms option would look so nice. Maybe give him a huge gatling gun or a plasma sword to swing. The style and colors you used look great and I can't wait to see it finished.
  14. I like the story so far. Seems like things are about to get even more interesting for the ADU.
  15. Holy smokes, man! This is incredible. I would totally build this if I had the space for it. The Alien series is still one of my favorites.
  16. Nice droids. This must be from season five because I have never seen this scenario before.
  17. A new AAT sounds great. Maybe an updated Flash speeder to go with it with some Naboo security volounteers too.
  18. Short -run tooling is relatively inexpensive. Not hundreds of thousands of dollars. The tooling only has to be precise enough to run for a few months at the most and will not be used again. Solid figures like that godawful Aldar Beedo are not impossible but actually practical if you think about it.I just think the bluish figs with ghostly printing would be kind of lame. Also, they would have to come up with all new printing for them. The budget for force ghost figs would be better spent on solid trans figs, I think.
  19. Nice review. What's up with Yoda's creepy smile? I don't like the way it makes me feel. And why is his hair not moulded? It's just printed there, like that spray-on bald spot stuff. Wierd. The other figs are great, although I don't care much for the set itself. Don't worry about the photos. The review is good.
  20. I completely agree. You know, I was just looking at the two sets photos yesterday and trying to think how simple it would be to MOD the new one. Maybe you could just stick the pieces from the old one's bow section right onto the new barge's hull. It shouldn't be too tricky with a dozen or so pieces and those boat parts it would have a much better curve. The deck gun on the old one also looks way better, too. I'm definately going to replace that.
  21. Why can we not have force ghosts in a solid polycarbonate minifig? The argument is the articulated figs are out of the question because of durability and that the hip, hand and torso pieces could not hold up to stress. The force ghost figs don't really need to be positioned or disassembled or even sit down anyway. They just need to have some clutch on the feet so they can stand there. Solid figs in a trans blue would do nicely. Light them up from underneath with a blue (or clear maybe) light brick and viola! Very nice glowing force ghosts. What do you guys think? Acrylic would glow really well, too but I think the material might be a little too fragile for LEGO.
  22. Honestly, I would not buy either set if I already had the older ones. They're not all that much better from what I can tell and you can probably just Bricklink the figs you want albeit for a small premium. The RGS would probably increase in value over a few years like the older ones did so, you might want a few just for the eventual resale value.I don't have either of the older RGS or AT-TE so it looks like I will probably get two of each. Ouch! My wallet is already in pain.
  23. So beautiful. Good job recreating one of the best story arcs. Those separatist bastards are about to get what's coming to them.
  24. I think Shaak Ti is my favorite also. Though I do have a small company of snowtroopers, I'm not going to say they're my favorite, but the all white uniforms do look really good together.
  25. Yes, I couldn't agree more. SotE would be awsome. I loved that book and the figs would be so nice to have in any collection.
