"Hmmm Interesting... Let's use those bombs!" Guts throws the holy bomb from the back row. Battle order: Guts Dak Dyric Dyric

I agree mostly with what has been said before: Developing your own character's story is not what it's all about, it's not a novel, after all. What I am doing with Guts is a little different: I have tried to give him a clear personality in my head, and I DO want to tell a story with him, the difference is that that story mostly plays in the past, which should help give clearity why he is who he is. That does not mean his decisions, actions and reactions are predetermined, and Guts is still shaping up, due to encounters and allies. In particular Quest 13 and now Quest 34 have given him a lot to consider and think about. The great thing is, what the big events will actually lead to? I don't know, yet. The best thing you can do is simple: do what you want. The moment you do something with your character you don't actually like, you are doing it wrong. That said, a very important thing to consider is that your story should never hinder or inconvenience the quest you are on, it is disrespectful to both the fellow players and the host. I even think stuff like Haldor sitting out a battle because of roleplay is borderline. (But though the battle went very well, if it was a hard battle that would have lost because there was one less player, I know I would not be very happy)

Any and all animal/mythical/other companions that are suddenly introduced from this point without very good basis and performance can expect to be butchered by Guts when he gets back to the hall. And then cooked and subsquently consumed. In all seriousness, it looks like there will be some very cool things going for the game on in the near future . Are quests that are already accepted (e.g. mine) allowed to start when you are gone, if I want to start them then?

"Hmpf, let's see how this works... Rone, deal with the orc!" Guts uncorks the diluted potion, and throws it at the Count! Battle order: Dyric Dyric Guts Dak

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Scubacarrot replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
But nobody has answered my question: Why are people disappointed if this list turns out to be true? I may be missing something, but I think this lists brings a variety of figures for all kinds of themes. I don't think Lego will do exact repeats, so I think the vampire will be a female vampire (as we have seen the concept art for), and the diver will either be a with a big brass helmet, or a female scuba diver/ male competitive diver, I'm hoping for the first option . The football player is probably going to be the american style, which would really make it not very popular outside of the US (it's just not very popular sport in the rest of the world), but I think it's going to do well in the US. The skier is going to be a partner for the other one we have seen, probably. The only one I don't have any idea how they are going to go for it: is the trader. I am thinking maybe like a grocery store employee in the same style as the butcher? It was certainly not intended that way, and the word I used was not intended as "swearing", I'm sorry . -

Yeah, no shit, sherlock. Still does not explain the hate for the list as we see them. -

Uhm... Why is there is so much hate against this series? It looks pretty solid to me... What are the themes the people collect that "don't like any of them"? -
In quest 33, should the free hit not be done against Benji, since he was first in the battle order?
-
"Good thinking, kid." Guts repeats his attack! Same battle order.

Very cool items, especially the new greaves and the helmet. I was a bit disappointed when I got the e-mail that the greaves and the helmet are not sold individually. Are you going to sell them loose, and if so, do you have a timeframe when? As that will be my next order . -
No offense, but your strategy was not say, uhm, eh, perfect.... And with two of the party in full health, I would not worry, if I were you .

"I suggest you surrender, it would be awkward if we wipe out your entire guard force, just something to consider..." Guts unsheaths Lifestealer with the loud sound of metal grinding against metal, and points it at the opposing force. "Prepare for battle." The old rogue grins behind his headwraps, a sparkle in his eyes the only thing the others could catch for that. Guts beckons the Shadow Knight, and took a stance to attack the orc from the front row. Battle order: Dak Dyric Dyric Guts

It would depend on the goals, and if that is the same: the result between them. I don't have high hopes. The Dutch players are only interested in their own success and money it seems, we have got players that are highly succesful in the normal competition, two of the top scorers in two of the highest level leagues, and suddenly, when you know they won't get a lot of it, they play bad?

Guts shrugs: "It's probably best if we deal with the guards first, you and the kid handle the guards, I'll deal with the fellow in the armour. Once the guards are defeated, we use the bombs our employer gave us, and I'll throw the potion at the man, see what happens. I have no desire to kill the head of one of the houses, it would not be convenient for us, so keep that in mind."

Hex Stands by Catspaw Customs
Scubacarrot replied to Catsy's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks for the quick answer! The fact that you cannot create a grid that will stick together is a bit of a letdown for me - To be able to properly use them for gaming you would either need Hex-paper like you showed in that picture, or be extremely careful... I'm thinking if you make rows of them, it would be slightly more stable, would it not be? Still, I might grab some anyway, since I'm a sucker for hexed based stuff. These are very cool things, enough to get a nerd like me excited . EDIT: Where is that portal gun from? shut up and take my money. -
Hex Stands by Catspaw Customs

These look really cool, I might want some for just setting up minifigures, I'm not a big fan of the 3x4 CMF plate, so this would be a really cool solution. Something I'm wondering: Can they be placed on a baseplate, like next to each other, in a way of a hexed base game? Or is the only option for that to have them loose next to each other? -
Ok let's hope he hops by before then, then.

Ooc: if Nihilus does not show up, Dak uses a mead and a nostrum, then we go back in battle.
-
"We are outnumbered, but now we know their position and numbers. They won't move, or risk getting ambushed, counter-ambushed! Prepare for battle the best you can, and we strike, at our terms." Guts quickly slams down a mead and a nostrum.
-
The first one is DarthSion. Haven't figured out the second one yet. EDIT: DaMaximus maybe?
-
Ooc: If you want to move things along and the others haven't given input: they flee too.

Swils, I just found out I don't have any red hairpieces (e.g. they are all lost, somewhere ) so I can't make the figure after all, I'm afraid...
