  1. I like them, The alchemist, the necromancer and the dragoon are my favorites. The Bombardier seems the least desirable of the lot though, you can only use 1 weapon (is there even one in the game?), and you need a constant supply of bombs to be effective, and you don't have a gold-generating ability, maybe it can have one, or maybe it can have an ability that creates a random bomb, something like that? As for UsernameMDM's Mining Engineer, I really like it, I would change roll 4 though, if I were you.
  2. Guts gulps down a mead. "Make sure you hit hard, we need to kill him as few hits as possible, or he will overwhelm us!" Battle order: Guts Dak Dyric
  3. I heard there were security issues with BL earlier, that were in the process of being fixed, I sincerely hope it has nothing to do with that .
  4. Guts' voices turned from the usual with a slight hint at cynicism to a low pitched, cold voice, in the quiet night, it did not sound good. "This blade is laid in with an magic gem that gives it the power of ice, you know. You would think that would be inconvenient, blood would freeze and stick on, blunting the blade. But the blood is... sucked into the blade, as though the blade itself drinks. The result is a weapon that is dangerous to any kind of foe. Even if you don't bleed to death, It will freeze the... tissue around the area, and it will not be pleasant."
  5. "I suggest you heed my advice, you talk bravely for a man with a sword against his throat."
  6. Does not seem like it if you say stuff like that, reminding me a lot of Hugar, mate. And here is a little song, imagine it in a singing voice: Parti-ci-pation, it's so much fun!
  7. I'm not going to go into specifics, but there are some examples of role-play other people could like more than some, I don't think having indexed "good roleplay" is a good idea, pointing out great examples like Flipz did a bit earlier is cool, but not archiving like this: This is good, this is good, this is not. Blah blah. See what I mean? How Flipz stated it earlier is good
  8. There is this thing called the Humble Indie Bundle. It is an initiative that is set out to help Charity (EFF and Child's Play, this time around) and promote Indie Game Developers (Indie Games are games that are not "published" by a major company, like EA or Activision or something like that, Minecraft is an Indie Game, for example.) The premise of the idea is that you can pay what you want for the games, and you can split the money how you like, between the game developers, the charity and the Humble Indie Bundle company itself. So you can pay anything from 1 cent (although that would be pretty scummy, Humble would not make the money back that it takes to host the games on their servers even) to whatever, and you can give everything to charity, to developers, or just split how you want to. If you pay more than 1 dollar you get Steam Keys, which allows you to also download the games from Steam, for achievements and easy access , although you are not obliged to use steam! The games are also cross platform among PC, Linux and Mac, and are fully DRM free. Currently going on is the Fifth Humble Indie Bundle, and the games included are: LIMBO, a side-scroller adventure game with an unique graphic style and setting, very grim and cool: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_c8NhpyO413Y/TMJ4MhslDOI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/bIFoLCSds8U/s1600/limbo-spider.jpg Psychonauts, an action-adventure game with a TON of humor. Amnesia: The Dark Descent, a Horror game, that is apparantly very scary(and good), I have not played it. Superbrothers: Swords and Sworcery EP, an adventure game in an interesting choice for style, and apparantly a really good story, haven't played it either The last game you only get if you pay more than the average, which is at time of writing $7.25, but it really is probably the real gem of this Bundle: Bastion, an Action RPG with great gameplay and graphic's style, and probably the best narrator in anything, ever. The music is amazing as well. http://media.gamer.nl/site/dump/20110719203826-bastion_e32011_0002.jpg You also get all of the games soundtracks for free in FLAC and MP3 format. All these great games, and you can pay what you want, I strongly suggest everyone that is even remotely interested in this sort of thing lays down a few bucks for this, you really can't go wrong, and these are some pretty amazing games. I already owned three of the games, and can say of those three that they are worth having. Add to that the fact that you can help charity! The link to the website is http://www.humblebundle.com/
  9. That is incredibly subjective though.
  10. And here is where we learn Eric is actually a mead addict, and when not given the mead he wants, will go into a state of depression, followed by sudden acts of rage and violence.
  11. Yay paid DLC . Because why fix the existing problems with the game if you can work on something you can monetize? In all seriousness, it looks pretty cool, but not something I would pay 10 euros for (which it is most likely going to cost, if not 15). Crossbows and mounted combat look cool, and the castle you could see in the video looked very good as well, and this is the Xbox version, so you know it can look even better on a PC. Can't bring myself to finish the main game though, the story is not fun, and exploring basically the same dungeons over and over again is only fun for so long.
  12. From the moment you got up until the moment you went to bed? That's quite impressive .
  13. Same here in Holland, Series 4 was 1.99 Euro in most places, rest all 2.49. Not that it's comparable, different taxes, competitors, distribution costs, etc.
  14. Guts pricks his sword a tiny bit deeper in the dealer's throat. "Don't try that on me, fool. Your drugs don't make anyone's life better, no matter what you or your customers tell themselves. Leave your stuff, and get out of here, if I ever see you dealing again, you'll be sorry."
  15. Guts takes out Lifestealer out of his sheath, and with one smooth movement, puts it at dealer's throat. "I suggest you quit your business. People have died because of your stuff, if needs be, you'll be the last to join them."
  16. Guts pulls Dak aside and says softly: "Kid, I suggest you don't 'try' his stuff until we know what it is."
  17. Hmm, I'm going to vote, for the sake of no penalty points, for Monn as well, he has once again failed to defend himself, and he strongly reminds me of Hugar's 'defense' (and a bit of Euna's, but what can you do?). If he is scum, Master Ti is a likely accomplice, and if he is not, it will relight the case against Coryn only more. Seems reasonable. Vote: Voolvif Monn(Jackjonespaw)
  18. That's not the right attitude.
  19. Okay, let's assume Monn's defense will not be too great, and he is lynched, what then? If he is scum, can we assume Master Ti tried to defend him by switching attention to the person that is the most 'high profile'? Maybe? If he is town, what have we learned then? Not opposing the lynch, per se, just want to make sure it's well thought out, and not: He is not contributing, we lynch him, we waste another day.
  20. That would make it remarkably similair to the Infiltrator.
  21. Not awful, not anymore, at least. I like the direction you are currently going, showing subtle hints of an underlying darker presence, for when you pick Black Knight. I am very interested for what you have planned after Dak is a Black Knight .
  22. Now this is an idea that is good. Zepher, use it!
  23. Hmm, perhaps you should not call it Wren Hunter, but Chaos Fighter, or something along those lines: Someone that has developed unique skills in the fight against Wren and her Chaos/Evilness. As for mechanics, I can imagine they use melee weapons, possibly shields?(?). As for Job traits: something that gives a damage bonus against demons, or all forces of darkness, something along those lines. Plus maybe two others already in use? As for Rolls, I can imagine a shield that is basically the opposite of the Black Knight's special? Hope these suggestions help.
  24. Wow, sorry, but this statement is just amazing, I'm seriously reconsidering my options here.
