Excalibur 2.0: Confirmation and Discussion

I'm here. Don't see why we had to be someone else for the virtual reality training, but there you go. -
Call me harsh, but he got to learn to deal if that is the case. Of course sometimes there are going to happen things in a game that you don't agree with. The best and most mature thing you can do at that point is with until the game is over, and give feedback to the host. Last thing I want to say about this subject, I felt really good that I had captured my first scum, mostly on my own as well. This was the first Mafia game on EB I felt I was playing as I should be playing, I had a lot of fun for when it lasted and I had a very positive attitude at the game in general. Other games were amazing, had super beautiful pictures and funny stories, but this game was the first really where I had tons of fun playing, if you know what I mean. Damned shame.

There is no chance of me getting it, I never get any loot anyway .

So he completely attacked and insulted a game host in the process?

Hmm, here is what I think: Flipz rant was totally uncalled for, out of place and rude beyond measure, and while I am very happy it won't be my call, I think punishment in one way or the other is deserved. I also think that the host should try to say as little as possible, because everything is going to be interpretable as a hint in one way or the other, being it intended or not. BUT, I don't think Bob's interference, if you want to call it that, was a bad thing, he was reminding people of the rules, and the rules state that there are no clues in pictures. But the problem is this, more often than not there are clues in pictures in mafia games on this forum. Be it in the form of a clearly identifyable killer's method operandus, or in the form of a brown frog that means a conversion has taken place. As long as there is no clear line, you are going to HAVE people look for clues in pictures, and people will adapt their playstyle with that. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from denouncing Flipz's rant as allowable (can't think of the right word, help me out here). Especially in his case, where it was apparantly mostly megablocks (but we still don't know in what capacity, because we can't discuss the game ) and he was going to die anyway, let's face it. But, it does make you think about this stuff. I realized this when I first started playing Mafia on this forum, it was different from what I had done before, visuals clues like that were unheard of where I played before, so. Of course, we (EB Game community) are used to it now, and that's fine. But I think there should be a clear line, honestly. What I am pleading for is this: Either make it so there ARE NO CLUES whatsoever in the pictures, and state that VERY clearly in the rules. Or: Keep it like it is, but remove the rule as it stands now. I realize that as a host adding miniscule clues that you can point out at the end of the game can be very fun, but you are going to have arguments like this, although hopefully with a normal reaction and less nerd rage. EDIT: fixed some spelling errors.

So we aren't allowed to share Role PM's and Night actions results?

Guts smiles at Portia as he steps in Portia's Potion Shack, and buys 4 meads (4x15 = 60), 6 nostrums (6x35 = 210) and 6 smelling salts. (6x25 = 150) Guts hands over 420 gold, leaving him with 635 (1055-420), and slowly walks back to the Hall.
-
"Hm? Very well. I'll sign us up." Guts goes downstairs again to sign up himself, Hybros and Alexis for Quest 39, again with hemself as party leader.

General Discussion and Announcements

Bob, I admire you stance on the situation, and I think it's very cool you are giving this another go. But, I don't think it's a good idea to not allow a post-game discussion. If it's mechanics wise even remotely similair to V1, there are those with more knowledge of the mechanics than others, who will have a certain advantage over others. -
General Discussion and Announcements

Meh, he was wrong anyway, Masked Builder did not sit at that table, Dannylonglegs did, though. About that: Do we get the chance to discuss Excalibur version 1, or...? -
Guts rolls his eyes as the Ranger was chosen to go on this quest. It would mean they would mean he and Hybros would have to find a third to finish their group. Was nobody considerate at this day and age? Guts looked at Dak for a second, who had said something cryptic to him earlier, and then said, to no one in particular: "Anyone to be the third on my party in the quest to rescue the richest man in Eubric from his own mind?"

Sandy's on vacation. Maybe you should try and keep an eye on the Rules and Discussion topic

Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion
Scubacarrot replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I just want to thank Bob for creating this game, it's a real shame someone had to have the nerve to ruin it for 22 other players, everyone that's watching and most importantly, the host. I'm totally unimpressed and still a bit shocked someone would do that. Mafia is a fun game, but some people apparantly take it way too seriously. I'm ready to go out of the simulator and out in the real game . -
All I can say is: Wow. I hope you realized that you ruined this game. I expected better from you, honestly.
-
Nah .
-
For the record, the blocker was not aware of the fact that there was talk of a neutral cop, the blocker decided on his/her own
-
Eh, what? Sandy has'nt been doing that in her quests, so I think it's a mistake
-
Actually it kinda does confirm Walters's towniness, All Jones was basically trying to do was pin the blame on Walters. Would have been a real elaborate set up, otherwise.
-
It says Admiral under your picture, sir.
-
Thanks Admiral, that makes it a lot easier, for me, at least .
-
Thinking it over. I think it's the best course of action, yeah, my vote is staying where it is. He himself has just said he is going to be useless from now on because he is going to forced to self target anyway.
-
Ok. Here is my problem with your story, Jones. The blocker said he got Feedback that said he succesfully stopped you from using your action. Now, say the block got redirected, to Walters, to be exact. It does not match up, because on night 1, it was exactly Walters that was blocked, and that time it was said that no night action was attempted. So, if your story is true, and my story is true, there is really only one possibility: Walters attempted an action night 2, but he did not on night 1. Him claiming he has no action, makes him very much scum. Until then, I want to hear what Holloway has to say... Why could you not just pull a Windu?
