Heroica RPG - Quest #58: Brothers-in-Arms
Scubacarrot replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Guts turned his head at Nerwen's words. An odd way of leading. -
We have four times a 1/6 chance to kill Reno outright because of hitting Ravage, he can't heal as much as we can easily damage him, this is a more sound tactic with risking someone not getting XP.

Heroica RPG - Quest #58: Brothers-in-Arms

In a surprisingly calm voice, Guts said: "Couple of months ago, group of angry people... led by a hired Nord, not unlike you..." Guts touched the greatsword strapped to his back that was a trophy from that battle with his free hand. "...attacked the Bonapartes, this poor excuse for a guard was with them. Had we not intervened, he would have been ripped to shreds." Guts chuckled coldly, he had expected the Nord to make this move much earlier. He should have thrown that knife back then. "Must say, you are predictable, Nord. There are only two types of people that leave the Northern Lands, cowards, and traitors." -

"You paid them, you send them after us, they attacked us, what did you expect would happen? That they could withstand Heroica? The fact that you call them your friends only makes things worse for you. Magellan, you owe your life to me, I will be taking it back." -

Guts should get +9 health from Lifestealer. "Hmpf, I don't think you understand the meaning of "faltered loyalty". Want to know how he treats his servants? He sends them to die, those men in the tavern. Last words, Reno?" Despite that provocation, Guts attacks the Guard twice. -
On another note, I recently learned there is a very well-known anime called Berserk with a main character named Guts who (from reading a little bit) sounds a lot like my Guts. I didn't know this until recently. I wonder if I got subconciously influenced when picking a name...

Sorry...

UsernameMDM (or someone else), will you make one of those Herolab thingies for Guts? I would be very interested in how others would perceive him. I am quite happy with how the one I made turned out (for one, the eyes look alright. ) But I can't help but wondering.

"Apologies, I got turned around." One of the guards had hit im on the head with their boomstick, hard. Funny, he had anticipated them firing the bloody things. They were messy, inaccurate things, they worked well as clubs though. The raider send an uncharacteristic smile to Nerwen as he said it. He didn't know why. Must be his spinning head still. He was getting old. -
Don't worry, so have I.

Guts attacks Reno three times from the front row. It was about time this would end. -
Meh, if you have the personality of a child, you are a child, right?
-
Somehow I don't think she'd forget after one round.
-
It's actually a good tactic, creepy, but potentially effective. Everyone but Cronk is grown up anyway. Or, you know, it might piss her off and disintegrate Hoke at the spot.

"Hestia, attack Cortes before any of us get to him, it will help get him down considerably quicker." -

I assume sealing also doesn't work because it's an effect as well. Usually sealed enemies can't do their specials. "Hestia, focus on cracking the skull of Cortez, the return from taking the gem is little." And why would Eric not attack Reno? A single hit won't kill him. -

Ah sorry, I missed it. -
I would pass on the weapon because Eric could use it better than Guts. I would not want other people be worse of because of my complaints. Since the weapon would go to Eric, I don't think it should be lowered because of my complaining. Somehow, being able to attack three times in a row with a possible x8 multiplayer makes it all better.

Reno should be Fragile, right? And I should have lost a Smelling Salts "This is where things get interesting." Guts attacks Pizarro three times, switching to Cortes when he falls. -
Not the best solution, if you ask me.
-
I meant at real cost. not the cost of the last upgrade.
-
You can have it at cost.
-
That's not true... There are more, more drops of 15+ as well. But anyways, probably nothing is going to change, which sucks, because while it doesn't warrant any change, I do have something useless which I did spend a lot (of time) on. It's like carefully writing an essay, and someone else gets the same grade with something they did in five minutes. You'd like more recognition, but it doesn't matter. That other person did it smarter.
-
She can, but there is really no reason to give her one, we don't have any unmerged Amethysts.
-
You're entirely missing the point though. As I said, my strategy with these drops was bad with the fact that stupid high WP weapons are a regular thing now, and that is everything higher than 15. I did not realize this was happening, I don't think it should, but that doesnt matter. That is my fault. But also: Weapon Upgrades don't mean shit with these drops. Not my fault, and I see that as a possible flaw. You might as well remove weapon upgrading, honestly. And I am just saying, Eric should get the drop, not talking about my case, just about the thing in general. My point is: There is no reason to do Weapon Upgrades, not: Boohoo Lifestealer is useless now.
