http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/2558/imag0524lu1.jpg For 40 EUR. It comes in very handy for my town (the roadplates) and green plates are always nice. Now I also have a nice collection of baseplates to keep my Hogwarts project in one part, to have a base for it.

I really like, these are some of the best things you've made. The monkey and the octopus are the best in my opinion. But, you are going to use them for the contest, isn't the contest based on System Pirates? Well, I hope the scale buildings work!
-
I like them, especially the ones from Smallville (they are based on that serie, aren't they? It's the only Superman-thing I follow) and Aquaman, he looks very nice. I think the figures would get more attention in the Minifig Customization board. Maybe Clark could use this torso:

I have seen those caps a lot in movies which are situated in the years 30-50, I think this is a nice reference picture (Super Mario's cap) And I like what you are doing here, I hope you can produce them for a relative low price.

I got this set for the Green Troll, and I liked it. I liked the Troll and the set. However, I find it a little stupid that it's copy of the Viking, it looks a lot like it, and that the space on the Wagon it self is so empty: maybe some barrols with other chicken legs in it? A nice set, but not a must buy. Thanks for the review.

Suggestions for future Themed Months
Matn replied to The Rancor's topic in Forum Information and Help
This is a quote from JimButcher in the Sig-fig topic. Isn't that a great idea? Or was it already planned? Maybe a Themed Two Months (October-November) would be nice, in addition to the fantastic contest which has just started. -
I have also created a Pirate version of my sig-fig. He is a friendly pirate, like on this picture: sharing an apple with his friend.

Welcome here, Castlestrike666! Have a nice time.

Indeed, the sea could be a lot better done, but it was just made for the pure fun, to try some things out. Thanks for the nice comments! My next Pirates MOC's will be those to enter with in the contest. ^^

Hay, Biebboek! It's great that you are here also.

This afternoon I have experimented with the digital camera en with Pirates! I can now take pictures a lot better than at first, so it was time for something new. I have made use of the big piles of tan I have ordered for my Hogwarts project. As first, this groupphoto: And as second, this simple MOC. Two Pirates who are stranded on an island are being watched by a couple of Islanders, while they are eating. http://www.flickr.com/photos/30479264@N06/

Thanks for the nice comments. I don't know if I would join the acadamy. I do reviews in Dutch on my website, so I think I am not a 'beginner' at writing reviews. However, I never made one in English and with fotos took by myself, so this is indeed a first try. I will just keep it like this, making more reviews in the future on my own.

This is my first review on Eurobricks, and it's one of the best sets of the 2008 Castle line. I bought it for 25 or 30 euro in July. The Troll Battle Wheel costs at the moment 41,99 euro (£29,99 or $39,99) and has about 508 pieces. Oh, and it's massive! Minifigures Let's start with the minifigures. In this set you get three Crown Knights and three Orcs. (yes, LEGO calls them Trolls, I prefer Orcs) This is a Crown Knight with a silver helmet, a schield and a silver sword. He's got the head that everybody wants and it's used in a lot of MOC's, if you turn it, he is screaming. The second Crown Knight has a nice and big silver helmet with an other torso than the other two Crownies. He also has a (sort of) spear to defend him self against the Orcs. This Crown Knight comes with a silver helmet and sword and a hook on a chain, to grab himself on the Troll Battle Wheel. Then you will find a Orc 'captain' with a bronze helmet and a skeleton armor. Notice how the head doesn't fit perfectly on the armor, this is because the helmet sticks out a bit and so it doesn't fit good with the armor. And last but not least, two Orc minions: they have to keep the Troll Battle Wheel rolling. Unfortenately, they don't have any weapons or shields to attack or protect themselves. Crown Knights' wall The Crown Knights have to defend themselves against the Troll Battle Wheel with this wall. You can point the spears in other degrees and it also has a catapult with a (round) brick in it to shoot at the Wheel. Troll Battle Wheel This is the main part of the set, what it's named after. The Troll Battle Wheel rolls, shoots and crushed everything in its way. This is the part where you have to put the wheels on, and on top there is a little 'nest' for the Orc captain. It has also a nice Orc flag to put beneath the 'nest'. It has a shooting mechanism which works good. To good. If you touch it unnoticed, it can launch, and it shoots rather hard. That can be fun in the right hands, but if somebody else gets it in hands, beware! The wheels consist of many parts and it's a repeating step in the building proces. They consists of a lot of (brown) plates and hinges. If your ready with the main build of the wheels, you have to decorate it with tiles and silver 'tooth' pieces. I really like the way how they are made, look: They are pretty big, but I like that very much. If you are done with that, all you have to do is put the (big) wheels on it: Conclusion It's a really massive and big Battle Wheel, that's the first reason why I love it. I also love how it's build and that it consists of many brown pieces, they can come very handy in the future. The Troll Battle Wheel looks much bigger in real life than on the official pictures. The only tiny comment on the Wheel is that it isn't logical: if the Orcs run forward, the wheel will go backwards and not forward. But I don't think the children care about that, I think they find it (at least) as fun as I do. The set has very nice figures, six is good enough for me. The wall is also a nice addition to this set. I really recommend this set to every LEGO Castle fan. I would love to read your comments on this set, and also on my review itself.

I will try to review the Battle Wheel with pictures this week, so it can be added to this list. Here it is: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21444

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Matn replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I really like the monsters and I do like the colour scheme. It's a pretty nice theme. But it looks very weird, in a way. Maybe I'll get a little set, or just one set to get a monster. And if I really like it and if will have the money, maybe I'll get the whole line in my house. O, wait. There's no space anymore. -
Yes, the figures and some pieces are overpriced, but if you take a look at the sets: cheap!
-
Batman Begins, wow, that was an awesome film!
-
I'm also in and thanks CopMike, this is really great.
-
What a great mini set! Thanks for the great review and photos, it's always nice to have a closer look to the promotional sets.

I've never understanded these Mafia games, untill now. It is just the same as Weerwolven van Wakkerdam, or this game in english: http://www.wunderland.com/LooneyLabs/Werewolf/Index.html ,it's the same idea, isn't it? Well, I will defenitely sign me in in the next Mafia game.

That's a real beaty, and I see blue baseplates? I thought they stopped producing bleu baseplates...

Thanks for the nice reactions. For the moment I am not thinking of selling or trading my new bley roadplates, they could come handy in the future. And I think Shelf City is very nice, you have some great buildings there. Great use of the space. I don't have something new to present in Floortown because I am still building up my older sets.
-
I would like to present my little town, called Floortown. The name is obvious, it's a town build on the floor. In the end of August I bought a green carpet to put on my floor and to build a town on it. At first I would combine MOC's and sets, but I have chosen to use only sets. And then I had to choose between: only normal sets, or only Modular Buildings, or a combination of the two. After a while I chose the third option. Floortown was born! Thanks to a member of Lowlug I got some old roadplates, so I putted away the new ones and combined the old roadplates with the ones I already had. The route was born. At the moment there is a graveyard, the Train Engine Shed, two train stations, the beatiful restaurant set, the Café Corner and some greenery. Currently I am building up my City and Town sets, to place them in Floortown. The next sets I will get, are: Green Grocer, Market Street and Town Plan (though, I don't know which first). It isn't so big, but I like it how it is: I am planning to make a website for the town with 'local news' and comics, and to make twinning possible. Now, I would love to read your comments and tips!

110 euro?! Euhm? I hope this is wrong, because, well... It isn't worth that much of money? C'mon, and it's only 70 dollar? 70 dollar = 110 euro... I don't think so.

I like this set very much, it will be a great addition to my town. Although it's quite expensive, I will certainly buy it! Thanks for the news.
