Incredible shaping on the mech and hte color scheme is great Great torso choices for the poachers and the jeep looks good too. Very impressive first sci-fi build

Looks great, the color scheme is nice and I like the use of those special white arches Superb interiors as well, especially the folding ladder and seats in the waiting room
-
Very impressive MOC, the cat-a-pults are great and the fishmonger is even better. I like that you matched the animals shapes with their vehicles

Really neat micros, the base is excellent and the vehicles look great Nice touch with the alien hive as well -
Thanks, I've seen several other people use that technique for snow in the trees and liked it so I decided to do it myself. I think I'll be using this smoke design quite a bit in the future

I'm assuming you don't have the pieces to do crenelations on the top of the tower, if you did though I think that would look better than the brown tiles. I also agree with dG about the window, the front of the tower looks very flat right now. The wall looks good and I like that you included stairs to reach it Excellent figs as well

Thanks dG, I was pretty happy with the smoke effect. It's not that bad, he hunts himself and every so often takes the furs throughout Historica, he's kind of a hermit Thanks, as to studs I generally leave studs showing on any parts that aren't man-made, but in this build I wanted to capture the effect of newly fallen snow. The rive is all studs up and in front of the bridge where the snow has been walked in is studs up Thanks, forgot to say your Urtican build was probably the biggest inspiration for this, hope I didn't copy to much

Must be you can see these pics then, glad to hear it, I made a new website and am trying to get all my old builds as well as new ones onto it. So soon you'll be able to see more than just overview pics of all my other builds as well The bricks with grooves used for raised flower beds is actually what started this scene, built everything else around those

Thanks Gabe Adding a hill and more fortifications would indeed be a bit large, especially as part of a challenge VI entry. Hopefully will have the second build finished before the end of February, I think it will be even better than this

Thanks, the snow in the trees is not my idea, I've seen quite a few others do it Thanks, as the guilds activity, it goes in spurts, near challenges it gets a ton more active than this

MOC: "Now where did that flag go?"
soccerkid6 replied to Bob-fish the magnificent's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looks pretty good, I like the slightly deteriorated look and the vines growing on the tower. Nice water and grass too. The rocks could use a little work, personally I don't like to leave studs exposed when doing normal brick built rockwork. I would recommend taking pics in front of a white sheet or poster board in the future -
The recent Flash MOCs (http://www.flickr.com/groups/urtica/) gave me the inspiration for the stone technique, and of course I added a full interior. This trading post located in the mountains of Mitgardia allows hunters and trappers to trade their furs for supplies, and provides a safe place to stay if neccesary. Joktan, who runs the trading post then sells those furs throughout Historica. More pics here: http://brickbuilt.org/Trading-Post.php Any C&C welcome
