  1. @Garmadon: The universe is plenty big enough for all of Historica to split up Of course Mitgardia gets the biggest share as we've made the most SHIPs... Here is my Mitgardian army: The five figs in the back left are Mitgardian clansmen (I could do quite a few more of them). The five in the back right are some of my secondary characters. The rest are Daydelon soldiers. I would have made some more mounted troops, but I need to get more saddles.
  2. Impressive builds Hersbrucker! You captured the feel of the M-Tron sets well, but made them a whole lot cooler The command base's tunnel through the cliff is really neat
  3. I'll post my army tomorrow, and I have a couple builds for the landscape challenge planned for the weekend/early next week.
  4. Sounds like a good idea I just got some new fig pieces for my Mitgardian army. Well I've finished the other projects I've been working on, and have all my pieces sorted and ready to go. So expect some builds from me very soon
  5. The angle that you put the house at really adds to the scene The vines on the roof are also a neat touch and I love the tree design I like the bountiful food in the picnic scene and the irregular base. Both of these builds are top-notch
  6. Thanks! Thanks lightningtiger
  7. Lovely modular yet again, Kristel The colorscheme is excellent and I like the offset windows. The interior has lots of great details: the bench seat and stools in the coffe shop, the cubicles in the accounting office, and the bookshelf in the boss's office. The layout of the rooms and whole building seems very well thought out and I like the coffee shop's little courtyard in the back Congrats on being front paged, you deserved it
  8. Thank you
  9. Thanks Infernum, it was definitely a lot different than building castle, but it turned out almost exactly how I wanted it to
  10. Really nifty shape and I like the color scheme You used those wall panels really well and the antennas sticking out the front are neat
  11. Thanks! I really enjoyed seeing your SHIP progress so I'm glad you like mine Well I strongly believe in trying different themes, helps you develop as a builder (just don't spend too much time away from Historica ) Glad you like the bow, that was probably the most difficult part to build
  12. Great swamp landscape and I like your squirrel
  13. That creature looks incredibly organic and menacing I'm interested to see your larger build using this color-scheme, I'm sure you'll pull it off beautifully
  14. Thanks Rast, the engines were fun to build Thank you, and the windows are stacks of 1x2 clear bricks with headlight bricks on their sides above and below the clear bricks

    Knor I

This is for the SHIPtember contest on Flickr. The contest is to design and build a SHIP (Super Huge Investment in Parts, a spaceship that is over 100 studs long) in the month of September. The minifig scale freighter I built weighs near 11 pounds, is 110 studs long, and is surprisingly sturdy. Some notable features: working overhead cranes, opening doors, a full interior, two small transport vehicles, and working landing gear. The Knor I is a middle class freighter that carries a four man crew. It's two small transport vehicles are docked at the landing pad in front of the bridge. With dual overhead cranes and loading docks the Knor I can load or unload its cargo quickly and efficiently. Numerous solar panels provide power for the large engines. Lots more pics can be seen here: link All C&C appreciated
  16. Looks amazing Gabe! I'm very interested to see how you pull off a domed roof. One slight criticism: the vines on the outside look very regular, I'd mix up the sizes and angle some of the leaves
  17. Welcome to Mitgardia Hench You've got some neat figs there
  18. Cool scene, I like how the river banks are not straight and the snow looks pretty good It's easy to see the contrast between the sides too
  19. Very cool back story and I like the figs' posings a lot Nice to see some snow on the ground as well. Kabel's suggestions are excellent and I'd also add that smaller plates usually work better when landscaping than large ones
  20. Excellent scene! The woodwork on the house is neat and I like the window looking out of the roof Very good landscaping too, the little pond is a nice touch
  21. Don't worry, you will be
  22. Impressive layout Captain! Looking forward to when we can see some detailed pics of it
  23. Excellent rockwork, you've got that SNOT design really well I also like the overhanging vegetation and the numerous pine trees help it feel more Mitgardian. Way to start of the community build!
  24. I like the little tree and the landscape in general looks good
  25. Pretty good descriptions of each guild Having all the vignettes on one base worked pretty well here. The Avalonian section is my favorite vignette because of the cool tree
