This MOC was built by my 12 year old brother. the house has a full interior. Kendrick and our heroes have traveled to a famous dwarven blacksmith to buy armor so they can fight the dragon. Captain:hello young lad,is your father here? Boy:Yes, he is working in his shop, I'll tell him you're here. Captain:Thank you. Blacksmith:Hello, how may I be of service to you? Captain:As I'm sure you've heard, there is a dragon going throughout the lands attacking everything he sees. Blacksmith:Yes,I've heard but fortunately neither we nor our have people been attacked yet. Captain:Well, we have been sent on a mission to destroy him,and we are in need of the best quality armor which we here you make. Blacksmith:I'm honored! come see what I have. Captain:Very good selection! I'll take two full suits,a spear,a sword, and two shields. Blacksmith:Very well, is that all? Captain:I believe so,your services are greatly appreciated. Blacksmith:Your most welcome.Oh one more thing I've heard rumor that the dragon has been spotted near Gravensteen. Captain:Thank you very much, your information is most helpful! Blacksmith:I hope so. Goodbye and may you return victorious! Captain:Goodbye! And thank you once again for everything! More pictures here:link He would appreciate any C&C

Fantastic build and I love the storyline The forge area is my favorite section, the way you used sideways cheese slopes to make an angled step there is really neat
-
Excellent fence design and the field of corn looks very good The farmer opening the gate is a great touch as well

AoM - Gatehouse phase l - Orcish encounter
soccerkid6 replied to Alfadas's topic in Guilds of Historica
Cool little barricade and I like the pose of the guy jumping to attack the orc Also it's good to see you're back building for Mitgardia again -
A nice little cart for phase 1. And you're not the only guy who still uses good old fashioned paper Glad to hear you're going to try and complete the whole AoM, I plan to myself as well, though it will take some time

Nice addition to your previous build, I like your water technique
-
Very interesting storyline and you definitely achieved a sinister atmosphere

@Carson: Feel free to include Glorfindel if you have the parts to build him (or a similar version) -
Continuing the collab between myself and MKJoshA. I wanted to try another Norse style wooden building, and decided to do a longhouse with belltower. This was my first time using this wall design (which is SNOT tile paneling in between 2x2 round pillars), and I'm quite happy with the effect. As always there's a full interior. After the rather unsuccessful first attempt to try and convince the Great Elk clan and the people of Teridyan to work together during their recent food shortage, Wyndor and Glorfindel traveled to the Longhouse of the Great Elk Clan for one more try. They were still unable to convince the Clan to try and help, and were just preparing to leave the hall when a clansman rushed in. "Sound the bell! There's a dragon attacking the village," he gasped. The men quickly seized their weapons and rushed outside to find a medium sized Frost Dragon approaching the hall itself. Two Teridyan soldiers who had been passing through the village were trying to hold the beast off, but one had already succumbed to its icy breath: The dragon put up a fierce struggle, but the clansmen, Glorfindel, and Wyndor were able to kill it without losing any men. Though, the soldier who had been struck by the beast's breath lost the arm holding his shield to frostbite. Wyndor was first to speak after the dragon finally collapsed, "Well Dain, what do you think now? These Teridyan soldiers just risked their lives to defend your village and people. Surely the Clan can continue to help supply food for the city." "I suppose we might be able to give them a hand, " Dain replied gruffly. "But how will we get enough food for our own village and Teridyan?" "Perhaps you could train some of the men from Teridyan how to hunt and trap," Glorfindel suggested. "Or organize a trade route with some of the cities or clans less affected by this famine. Between Teridyan and the Clan you have many able bodied men to work with, I'm sure something could be arranged." More pictures of the build: Without figs C&C welcome

Here's a microscale version built by Ecc and there have been plenty of builds located in Valholl that you can check out. My latest freebuild will be posted tonight, or tomorrow -
Very neat take on the gatehouse category The rockwork looks a little too regular at the bottom inside the 'gate', having some of the slopes stick out a stud farther, or using some different types of slopes would fix that

AoM - Farm Phase ll - Trouble with the farm
soccerkid6 replied to Alfadas's topic in Guilds of Historica
Pretty good field if you have more grass stalks, stacking several of them together makes them look more like a crop and less like grass. Looking forward to Phase 3- 14 replies

Cute little vignette, the penguin is my favorite part Looks like that the fishing is good there
-
I like the lava base and those stairs give a very unique look Excellent use of those black technic pieces as well
-
Very cool vignette The base is excellent and I like the way you have arches supporting the second story. Sweet knights as well

Thanks mccoyed, glad you like him Thanks Behemoth Thank you! Thanks Vitreolum, I have plenty of clear pieces and thought they worked well with the white here Thanks Gunman Thanks LV, powerful is what I was going for Thanks! The wings actually weren't as challenging as I had though they would be Thank you Thanks Gideon, I decided to go with a studs out approach so I could use black elements (travis bricks especially) for the skeleton Thanks TUB, I take it as a great compliment that you mistook one of my builds for Gabe's Thanks Carson! Thank you Jorrith, usually I enter contests pretty early, but I got a late start for this one. Glad I could finish in time Thanks Hammerhand! Thanks Infernum, I almost made the body flexible, which would have helped make him look less blocky, but decided not to because of all the crazy sideways building I was doing Thanks DM! Thanks! Thank you, glad you like the minifig Thanks Kai, you're right about the jaw, I just couldn't find a way to make it bigger without making his head way too bulky/blocky Thanks, glad you like the base Thanks robuko, and yeah he probably doesn't make any long distance flights. The light blue background I used here works really well for photographing white/trans clear Thanks mrcp6d, I almost integrated trans light blue, but ended up just using the clear Thanks ME, I've seen that tail design used quite a bit before and liked the effect a lot Thans Bart Thanks Emma, the wings could definitely have been a bit bigger. Glad you like the feet! Those were actually the most challenging part of this build

The dark orange works very well for a Kaliphlin landscape here, also a nice use of the brown grass stalks I really like the 2x2 round plates scattered around in the second build, gives a very cool sandy effect. Excellent little merchants stand too

I've got a free build for my collab with MKJ almost finished. Hopefully I'll be posting it this week -
That's a pretty neat fountain The sand green looks good here
-
Sweet griffin The wings are especially impressive I'm not a big fan of how the brown continues up the back of the head, but I guess that color blocking is part of what makes it a griffin. The backdrop for the beast is equally stunning, I always enjoy seeing your Kaliphlin buildings. The use of the chrome hitch things (not really sure what they are, I do have one though) on top of the roof is very neat. Some pictures showing the griffin and wall separately would be nice

The Final Defense [Free Build - Noctornus]
soccerkid6 replied to ch_ris127's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent Nocty landscape, the dark tan tail pieces work nicely Very good ruins as well. The tree looks a little sparse and spindly, but it works pretty well with the rest of the scene. Glad to have you back in GoH -
Fantastic critter! It's easy to see the resemblance to a rodent, but this beast is way more terrifying I like the sinewy look of it, reminds me of a weasel
