  1. The Robot Dinosaur is my most "100% must have" set of 2024, not even kidding (probably next to The Great Hall of Hogwarts but i don't count it because it's the thing we've been seeing through all those lego years already, the dino in the other hand - is something super new and wild!). I even got 2 crocodile cars during a recent amazon sale just to get an insane amount of cooper-type pieces to have lots of fun redesigning or upgrading the Pteranodon build. The total disregard from the AFOL community is understandable - Dreamzzz sets are an epitome of lego for kids and wacky people that do silly stuff like robot rabbit dinosaurs from the outer space and swoosh them around and i'm happy it's protected from scalping and such I really hope that Robot Dinosaur will go on sale in 2025 so i'll get another one (imagine getting it for 40eur for example). Interesting that Cooper shares the same head piece mold with Hooper. Bricks by Mind channel was an insane help to me with my impatience to see all details of August sets.
  2. I didn't know about the green one - gotta look it up (upd: ah it's from that D&D set...)! By the way if you put one of those "mouth" printed minifigure heads (from batman cmf - orca for example) inside a "red dragon costume" minifigure with opened mouth - it could technically work as a very angry dragonborn - you can use that in action scene where its charging at something
  3. Yes, I wrote it wrong, sorry. The new "mold color". I have the red vidyo dragon and really glad that you can create a variety of "dragonborn" (at least 2 variants haha) as a bunch of characters.
  4. I never played DnD and don't know any of those "characters". But I'm a huge fantasy genre fan and so grateful Lego finally gave us a better option than just another "castle set" that gives generic knights and peasants torsos.DnD is pretty much a stealthy way for Lego to sneak in a cool fantasy CMF line. To me DnD is equal to that old "halloween cmf" where they had zombies and etc. Finally I will have some really neat fantasy-related accessories, legs and torsos. Saying that it's "derailment" is absolutely insane. I don't understand why anyone would bother trying to figure out what these official characters are when all these figures can be seen just as fantasy hero archetypes.I was always questioning why Lego makes so many castle stuff but rarely does High Fantasy sets (i don't count current LoTR because those are mostly overpriced collectable sets-not something to buy a lot of to build fun-related stuff). DnD is literally a breath of fresh air. And I waited for such a line for 20 years, not even kidding haha! (nexo knights and their demon minifigures were probably the only time we got anything "real fantasy" related before this cmf during the modern age (i know we had orcs, trolls, vikings and dwarves before but those disappeared before 10s) I absolutely love that they making mixed stuff to sneak in as many fantasy stuff as possible. For example instead of making a generic warrior they made it a dragon born so we will have a different molded dragon head. And the minifigure can be portrayed with his armor on and without making it 2 separate characters due to torso being super detailed. Forget the "DnD" title. It's just "Fantasy CMF".
  5. Glad that I got just in time with the new line of modular Harry Potter castle (not like previous times when half+ of the line disappeared from shelves and you have to pay extra). I'll have some room for it because all I had were smaller sets and refused to buy HP-castles because they would look incomplete.Very curious about the price range of those other buildings... The second building (tower-like) close to the current set looks so insanely huge compared to "The Great Hall". It's ginormous! Other stuff i'm hoping for - updated Chamber of Secrets and Fluffy build. The previous Chamber looked fun but very lacking of details so i'm 100% they will do something with it. If you look at the microscale Hogwarts - it's right under some of later releases.
  6. amazing news. Those shoulders and torso print are nice useful pieces.
  7. Ohh a Nintendo CMF line would be insane. Literally everybody would jump in. I personally would expand it to "NES" cmf but not sure if it's easy to get a diverse cast of characters from different companies.
  8. Amazing! Fright Knights is my favorite castle faction and you did an amazing job here! I love how solid the structure looks. PS: Also yes i also thought that the Witch and Basil are enemies at first (the witch theme was clearly "spiders" not "bats" as i saw). But then after seeing more stuff and playing i made a headcanon - the Witch is chaotic neutral character that sometimes getting hired by Basil. They sometimes work together, but often conflict.
  9. To be honest, creative lego ideas are the only thing that keeps me in this hobby. And we are getting more and more. I was in a dark age until Chima came out and amazed me with its designs, then I noticed Galaxy Squad, which awakened my love for Lego Space again with new ideas and more interesting minifigures and builds. Now, after Monkie Kid and Dreamzzz, I can’t imagine how we can say that “it was better before”. As a kid i would go nuts if people would gift me not just Royal Knights Castle but Fortrex - a movable castle with all kinds of things. There is a flying shark ship and a giant mechanical dinosaur in Dreamzz and cool buildings and super unique Monkie Kid stuff. Licensed themes are also amazing and give us new pieces and can be bought even if you don't like the theme. (i'm not a huge fan of star wars but these days i'm buying it unlike back then when it was...just "for star wars fans"). PS: Thought i do admit was disappointed by Space (galaxy squad was the last time i was interested in it) but current NasaPunk space theme is amazing. (sorry for talking about galaxy squad a lot BUT...but it actually has hints to G.S. The plants found by current space theme astronauts are kinda the same plants that Beetlezoid from the current CMF is eating. Which means it's only a matter of time when Galaxy Squad bugs will find out Space astronauts, hehe)
  10. When does the Build a Minifig assortment usually change? Hopefully I still have time to get the space minifigure parts.
  11. I'm so grateful to Lego for releasing the Beetlezoid and most importantly, relating them with Galaxy Squad bugs. Never did those "army buildings' ' before but now I have started. Always thought that we never got enough bug-variants from Galaxy Squad. Mantizoid is so expensive and sometimes 1 antenna of Mosquitoid costs 6-9eur (!!) because after all these years most of those were lost, but thankfully I had several headless torsos lying around and had my old sets. Getting full versions of additinal Mantizoids is the most difficult part. PS: By the way the way Lego portraying beetlezoid as a vegetarian doesn't mean it can't be dangerous. This is a herbivorous beetle (like a lot of beetles are), but it could very well be a heavy force in an insectoid army. (herbivores are not always harmless - take for example Therizinosaurus from the Jurassic World). Thought having a beetlezoid as a gentle giant is also great! Buggoids look like standard warrior variants. Mosquitoids are air attack specialists with weak armor, Mantizoids are special troops and leaders. A more tanky version with powerful armor was needed and I see Beetlezoid as one! I wish there was an active Galaxy Squad thread because I always liked this line and wanted to see more of it
  12. Another thought - the Chris Pratt Jurassic World trilogy is finished and we never got the Mosasaurus set. That Avatar whale set kinda looks like what the Mosasaurus set might look like... (big creature with unique head-mold + sea exploring vehicle + a bit of terrain). But sadly they missed the opportunity with Fallen Kingdom movie sets (it has exact this type of scene where people exploring the remains of Indominus at the bottom of the moso tank)
  13. Something makes me think that it's Monkie Kid's fault. (but i don't hate that - his show is amazing) I actually watched MK show and it has tons of incredible animations, adult jokes and references. I was honestly surprised to see a Lego show with fluid 2D animation. I think they dumped the majority of animation budget into that. I have a connection to animation and i kept doing screenshots during the show - most of shots are amazing. There is a literal JoJo reference in one episodes when everything suddenly changes the style and looks like JoJo anime. Lego never had a show with a quality like MK. Maybe this is the reason of them lowering the quality of Dreamzzz. A lot of it looks like animators worked without fully understanding the line.
  14. JP2 had an insane amout of "playset-friendly" scenes. The whole mobile command center reminds me of the same thing from the Agents theme. So kids will love it anyways...i think it could be the best playable JP "car" by kids standars if they make one. You can open it and pretend doctors fixing t-rex leg and etc. However the price will be insane, haha. (2 buildable sections of mobile center with computers and medical equipment inside + Juvenile T-rex mold + at least 3-4 minifigures (2 doctors + Ian Malcolm have to be in it)) + at least 1 big T-rex figure.
  15. Monkie kid was a breath of fresh air to me at least. I hope we will see at least another full year after this one.
  16. Oh I see... 2027 sounds interesting but the question is - is JP2 that much of a cult movie to make a series of anniversary sets? Do people have a connection to that movie? I love it but I remember people not being interesting in 2 and 3 that much (i'd love to get a JP3-related Aviary set with Pteranodon in walking pose!!). In other though - we finally got baby/teenage raptor molds. Baby triceratopses. They probably 100% gonna make a baby/teenage T-rex eventually and it was a huge part of JP2.
  17. Not sure if this thought was discussed already. Are there at least any rumors about Jurassic Park 2 sets with Mobile Lab set ? They have to make one! It's such an iconic part... And we need a juvenile T-rex mold!
  18. I'm still waiting for Halloween-themed minifigure series 2.0. There is still a lot to cover. (we need more zombies as well)
  19. Looks awesome! Makes me wonder how this dinosaur looks (built like) under that dirt and grass...
  20. I'm a huge fan of the idea of gaining new abilities in your dreams. It all started when I read and then saw "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master" where kids transform into their "avatars" in dreams to fight Freddy Krueger. Dreamzzz is basically this but "light" version, haha. So I loved the idea so much and was instantly hooked. I used to think and fantasize about this concept a lot back then. In reality...Sets that we see in stores almost never appear in the show... (they didn't show the Crocodile car for example...) They made such a big deal of all that stuff but we don't even see it. It's like kids don't even like to use their abilities or imagination that often. This was my main problem. Like...this concept is so cool (entering your dreams where you can do anything and fight your nightmares with your new form) but they barely use it. And if they do - it's something boring. They also don't use the whole "dreams, sleeping, insomnia" stuff (for example there could be a moment when they have to enter the dream world but too excited to sleep, or something like that - it would instantly make the episode more interesting). You may say that I'm asking too much for a kids show but Monkie Kid show is 9000 times better and "clever" with its ideas compared to this (not to mention the animation). But anyways i'm super excited about August sets. In fact...the Crow and Junkyard Dinosaur are one of my favorite sets of 2024 this theme is amazing and i adore villain minifigs
  21. Lego is incredibly good at helping to deal with such problems. This is a whole set of different stages. 1) assembling a set while watching one of your favorite films (series). 2) thoughts on how to improve the set, fix it, make it more interesting (and while you searching for pieces or planning stuff, your mind completely in the "zone" because you can't think about anything else - pretty similar to going through a very good video game) 3) euphoria from owning an interesting set/MOC that will be a pleasure to play with and do more stuff with later on.
