  1. Oh that's great! I completely understand the rule and the rationale. The Cloudrunner will be something like a base for my crew so it will reappear here and there and very nice you would still count it in the score here. I hope there is no objection against from the other players
  2. Thank you for the nice feedback. The changeling will return in one of my next chapters And thanks for the 2x points on the Starfighter moc (chapter 3) and this one!
  3. I can neither confirm nor deny such activities awsome
  4. Was just meant to be a playful banter I thought maybe you wanted to post it elsewhere since it's your work in progress. We have a WIP section in the faction sub-forum, but apparently there is no suitable thread for cross-faction discussion on open work. Since we are so few here actively playing it could be an idea Different Topic: @MKJoshA Is there anytime soon an update of the sector scores to be expected?
  5. Yeah, the light bars look definitely cool. It's just... did you intentionally "leak" the work in progress here?
  6. I love the KotOR game and I love your build! It gives me a feeling of ... familiarity . The angles of the dorsal and the ventral "beak" look so neat and well mimic the original. I don't even think you need to improve the greebling. It looks well with the studs on the surface, giving it a fitting texture. It's a pity it needs the trasparent support but understandable from stability point of view. The ship is designed to work in zero gravity, unlike your model Do you have other photo angles of the ship?
  7. I immediately got the legs on ebay . All four legs for 3€. I think it's a bargain. I'll probably won't build the Ronto, but maybe another moc creature... I'd love to see that! You have the full scene photographed? The swoop got a little bit shadowed by the amazing Ronto, but I'd like to add it's also a great design!
  8. This is perfect. I really like how the Ronto fits to minifigure scale. The head is really well built too! I have to check if these creature legs are available as second hand parts.
  9. I tried to think of new one's and it's not that easy - At least not to be biased to much with what I'm planning to build. The game master can steer a little bit the direction of our stories with the choice of bonuses here I like the LS intelligence agent - it's a low hanging fruit for me in my story. The starfighter is just 2 points more and a much higher effort, if it needs to be unique per entry. I'm always open to include a starship if it fits the story, but maybe as a bonus it's not going to be used very often. I have some other generic ideas here (as said, they may be biased): One Galaxy: Reference to someone else's entry or the main story - I love the idea that all builds are in the same galaxy at the same time (multiplayer RPG ) . Such a bonus could be applied if one reflects the main story (e.g. Valor explosion) or any other builder's entry. On the move: featuring a moc vehicle - e.g. land speeder, walker, spaceship. Would be more open than a starfighter Aggressive negotiations: feature a blasterfight or other type of battle in your build Flashback: show one of your heroes in a retrospective of the past - there is always an event or memory that makes the actions of your hero more understandable. E.g. one could reuse some of the battle droids or clones minifigs here! The cameo: feature a true Star Wars hero/villain in your story build. - cameos are great, if used gently and the appearance of the vip is reasonable and story related. Faiths: showing LS to take a selfless decision, DS to take an evil one, Mercs to take a decision for the sake of profit Homeworld: showing a scene in a headquarter of your faction Behind enemies' lines: showing your heroes in enemies' territory. Change of perspective: showing a piece of story from the enemies perspective - the better the villain, the better the story. Showing opponents action helps to justify the countermeasures your heroes are willing to take. Maybe they could be used as bonuses. Second thought, some of them may also be of better use for an episode. Idk Hope you like some of them...
  10. Thanks for the feedback and reading. Always good to hear someone's actually reading it Stay tuned for upcoming chapters! Thanks! I also enjoyed how weird it turned out. And no, you won't find it anywhere It's my creation as is its name. The reference to Kinyen is because of its three eyes. That is the homeworld of the three eyed, sentinent Gran. If the Gran got three eyes, other species from there might have similar vision as well. It's not from Aetwelt but imported Absolutely! Bolt made a tough decision and you'll see soon where this leads to
  11. Thank you very much. Yes the heroes had to move together Yes feel free to build there! It's non-canonic, as I made it up for my pen&paper RPG some years ago. There are some other points of interest as well. For instance a camp of big game hunters in the misty rainforest at the foot of the mountains. Behind a large waterfall, a tavern for the knowing is hidden. Or an exclusive hovering casino, cruising on the giant jungle river Tajkal, resembling a paddle steamer. In the swamps, it is said that a kind of voodoo witch is hiding, wielding the force differently than Jedi would. Feel free to add your own POI if you want!
  12. Indeed, that would be quick, easy and more seductive. But I'm on the light side and it's not the Jedi way. If I were on the dark side team though... yes, that's exactly what I should do Anyway, Ajunta Pall's lightsaber hilt was an exaggeration . Not a bad McGuffin though, right? But I hope you share the general idea that the Sith artifact is much easier earned additional xp than the starfighter . Maybe that's the rules' intention . Let the senate (or the Rancor) decide this fate... Oh that sounds great! Didn't know this story but seems like a good one (even with an audio drama existing)
  13. Thanks for the explanation and sorry for the late reply Just from balancing point of view, I wonder if then all factions would once have a special unique moc bonus like the LS with its starfighter? It does not concern me, but the DS Sith artifact would also need to be a unique one per entry? (not like featuring a character with a golden lightsaber hilt once belonging to... idk... Ajunta Pall... multiple times earning +4 in each entry ? Excuse me for stressing this, dear Darkside friends )
  14. *Your entry has earned 14 XP + 3 bonus for a total of 17 XP (S:5, T:5, A:4) Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story Chapter Overview with Link: Dramatis Personae: ******* Chapter 10 - Shag City << to previous chapter After the ride with the swamp skiff, the heroes arrive in Shag City. The town is built into a massive boulder in the midst of the swamp. The inhabitants use natural and artificial caverns as their homes and shops and errected towers of different style, reflecting their different homeworlds. Shag City has an infamous slave market and is a true melting pot. It used to belong to the Hutts, but since some years it is under control of the Imperials. Here, Len'ya and his crew want to recruit a thief... » Ah Shag City. Aetwelts beating, black heart! I have a special appointment elswhere in the city. The three of you find the thief and recruit him. « » How predictable. « » The two of you will do. I go fetch some supplies. This is a good market for unique components... « »How can we find a thief in this crowd. Len'ya didn't even mention his species. « »Patience and sharp eyes will help - Or a bait. « » A bait? « »If he is a pro he uses a scanner that detects the value of credits in one's wallet. I have an emitter in my pocket that will trick the pickpockets' scanner so that he thinks I'm the biggest game around. « While Xher and Bolt are looking for a thief to recruit, they register some commotion on the street. »Down on the ground, rebel scum! « »Granpa! « » Gnhnn! « »I need to do something! « »Xher, no! This is not our mission! Oh too late... « »Hey buckethead! Stop that! « » Back off citizen, or you're the next face down in the dust! « » Troopers! Disengage immediately! This is an order! « » You too, step back. This is none of your business! « » Oh I'm afraid it is, Corporal! I'm Colonel Izpin from the Security Bureau! « » Colonel? « » Yes! Izpin! ISB-Sec-Code Bravo-One-Zero-Two-Two. You should know your superiors! And you two better identify yourself too! « » Eh, my name is Dunta Rem- « »I don't care 'bout your kriffin' name!!! What's your TK-number on duty?! « » TK-117, Sir! Colonel, Sir! « » But sir, this man has been distributing rebel propaganda… « » Sure he did! We're undercover trying to catch the real rebels! You maggots are jeopardizing the whole operation! You know the word?! Jeopardize?! « » Eh... Jeopard? Is that an animal of some kind? I don't know... « » Oh dear... That explains a lot. You two are triggerin' my migrane. Listen: Next time you arrest one of my agents, I'll assign you to the mounted troopers. You gonna be cleaning stables for the rest of your life! Is that getting to your laser-brain? « »Sir! Yes, Sir! « » Okay agents let's retreat. We need to start all over again because of these two nerf herders... « But as they move, an officer enters the scene! » Imposter! Surrender or die! « » I really, really tried to avoid this... « to next chapter >> ********** Hello! So here it is: Shag City - capital of Aetwelt. Here are some additional angles and images of Shag City and its inhabitants:
  15. Thank you It's really fun to alter "terrestial" vehicles and turn them into star wars-y ones . For the swamp I bought a myriad of these olive trunks expecting one can connect them. Then I realized it won't work . I had to buy the brown pin connectors for the mangrove-ish trees. Painful lesson. An awful lot of the trunks were left over but they serve well as fleshy, alien plants
  16. Cool micro-ships (and walker). I like the larger ones - that would be the science vessel and phees transport - the most. The middle sections of the latter are looking very convincing. Ventress and Phee are greatly mixed together minifigs!
  17. I like the lime coloring on your build The front view is very smooth and convincing. Do you have a top view of the fighter as well? The Y-Wing being the work horse of the Rebel fleet was always one of my favorites, since the very first Lego Y-Wing vs TIE Fighter set from 1999 I got

Their destination is Aetwelt- a swampy planet in the Outer Rim, infamous for its slave market. While Xher is steering the modified YV-560 courier, Bolt and Len'ya discuss the next steps… » Len'ya, why are we heading to Aetwelt? If you want my full support, you need to induct me into your plans. « » I will soon. The task to recover the imperial plunder gets more difficult. First, we need to recruit another team member. A pickpocket. « » We have already an assassin and now we're getting a thief!? « » Remember, the Rebellion was once saved by farmboys, pirates and scoundrels. « » Alright, alright. Who's that pickpocket we got to pick-up? « » The best. And I hope we find him in Shag City. By the way, Xher told you her story, didn't she? What do you think? « » She wants Vonregs head. But there is more to it. I feel it. Vonreg took the ring of Nurbia, but where is it now? « » That my dear, is the question... « After a long flight, the Cloudrunner arrives at Aetwelt. The lush world features many extraordinary sites, such as the 16-thousenders - a supermassive mountain massif - or the gigantic river Tajkal originating there. Where the Tajkal flows into an ocean, there spreads a vast marshland with mangrove forrests as far as the eye can reach. It is inhabited by pirates, slavers and swampers, who harvest so-called swamp pralines, an important ingredient for special type of spice. » Land a little bit outside in the marshes there. This sector is still under control of the Imperial Remnant and we don't want to attract their attention. « » Land a little bit outside...pff! We are marching for two hours now and still 'bout three to go. The Squitos gonna kill us - if we not slip into a Greytors jaws first! « » Look, there is one of the swampers. Maybe he will share his ride. « Indeed, the swamper is happy to ferry the agents to Shag City and getting some credits for reward. » Y'er luckey y'er found meh. Try to hold on somethin' when we bump 'em trees! « to next chapter >> ******* Hello and welcome to Chapter 9. The heroes transfer to Aetwelt, a world that is not featured in any canon, but originating in a pen&paper RPG I'm taking care of. The next MOC featuring Aetwelts capital Shag City is nearly ready and I hope to publish soon! Here another image of the swampers' swamp skiff. The idea behind was to make-over an airboat known from the real world Everglades to make it look Star Wars-y
  19. Thanks! Actually the role of Bolt was up for grabs to Brendan Gleeson, but your casting suggestion is serious competition
  20. I have a question about the bonus system: does it always need to be a different character or build to get the bonus? Let's say I include my agents Len'ya and Bolt in my story builds. Can I always apply for the CorSec bonus? Or if I choose to include the very same starfighter in many builds, can I apply for the +5 bonus multiple times as well or does it need to be a new, unique ship? The same question holds for the bonuses of the other factions.
  21. Thank you very much, I really appreciate your positive feedback and glad someone's reading this My initial idea actually was a temple praying hall with an altar or something, but during building it became a morbid crypt . Anyway this reflect the stakes and the sacrifice of the guardians much more, I guess. The whole RotLA- story is building up and the tone is more like the one of an agent thriller, but still I once wanted to try some real action shots with blaster bolts and stuff. So I sneaked them in with this flashback here. It was fun!
  22. *Your entry has earned 14 XP (S:7, T:4, A:3) Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story Chapter Overview with Link: Dramatis Personae: ******* Chapter 8 - The Temple Raid << to previous chapter Old Coronet spaceport. On board of the Cloudrunner at starting ramp 12… » So… Black Sun, now that I’m leading this venture, I would like to know your story. « » Wait, who made you the boss, old fossil? « » Len’ya. When he recruited me, back there at the bar, I suppose. « » No he didn’t! « » Listen. I know Len’ya lied about you, to stop our little needling before. You may be talented. You may even be an assassin of the Black Sun. But you don’t know him very long. And he would definitely not trust you with his life. You shouldn’t either. The point is, Len’ya is a Bothan. They trust no one. But he wants his operation to be a success, so he came to me. And be aware: He’s ruthless and manipulating. He will do what he do - Have secrets, leave without saying and pop up out of nowhere. That’s why he needs a team leader who actually cares. « » Huh … so you are the legendary spy, Arthemias Bolt. « » Fossil will do. Anyway I’m getting too old for these missions. So how about you? Let’s start with this one: Why you always make that face? « » … « » Yeah, that one. « » … « » Much better. « » Ok, my story... I grew up in a small village near the Temple of Nurbia on a remote, independent world in the Mandalore sector. One day, the Empire came and raided the temple. My mother was the guardian primus and as the sanctuary was under siege, she had to make a difficult decision... « » Xher, these men are brutal and unforgiving. We guardians have sworn to defend Nurbias crypt and her ring with our lives. But you daughter, you have not taken the vow. You can live! There is the slit behind the sarcophagus. It will lead you to safety. « » But mum… « » Go! We will see each other in afterlife! « » They waited for the intruders and they soon came. « » My mother fought bravely, but was eventually struck down. « » Then in came their leader. « » Vonreg… « » I still remember his face, when he killed my defenseless mother on the ground. I still remember how he took the ring of Nurbia (* check out its twin here). I still remember how he ordered to plunder the sanctuary, before they burned everything down. « » I couldn’t run away. I turned, left my hideout and tried to strike him down. But a stormtrooper hindered me. « » Brave, but foolish. You there trooper! You will deal with this little brat outside! « » The stormtrooper took me outside of the temple but she couldn’t pull the trigger. She told me I should run and never come back. And that’s what I did. But I never forget and I never forgive! « » Len’ya knows about your vendetta…That’s why he recruited you, heh? Dank Farrik! He wants to use your anger… and if I’m not wrong, that ring you mentioned… there is more to it, isn’t it? « » Len’ya promised me that we will stop Vonreg and return the ring where it belongs. « » Ugh, what a story! That’s the best I heard for a long time. I’ve spoken. « » Bloody hell?! Who’s that? « » Rietta. Our Quartermaster. She’s ok. « » Any other crew members I need to know?! « to next chapter >> ******** Hey there! So now you know a little bit more about the Falleen assassin Xher. I hope you enjoyed the story and sorry if the entries get too long! I placed the build in the Mandalore sector O7, even though it's a flashback and the narrator is sitting in M11. Hope that it's ok. Find here some additional images of the temple and minifigures at daylight
  23. I'm glad it's somewhat recognizable as a reminiscence to that Corellia speeder chase in Solo Thanks! I probably should have mentioned a little bit more about them as not every visitor to the entry might know the background. They are Talon Karrde's Vornskr hounds named Sturm and Drang, from the original Thrawn trilogy by T. Zahn I used them already for the May the 4th contest and I'm quite proud of how they turned out in minifig scale . Here an additional picture: By the way, small May the 4th reuse in Mysteries... it's going to be 2x points here for the dogs, isn't it? (well not if Dooku had the last say - you know, twice the pride, and all the rest...)
  24. Thanks for all the nice feedback, really appreciate it I'm happy that the streets on Corellia are recognizable Indeed, that was the hardest part. Those last 20% make 80% of work to make it look so that I'm fine with it Totally true! The radio plays are just perfect! They inspired me to make my M4-24 entry and include Karrde for a cameo here!
  25. *Your entry has earned 13 XP + 3 bonus for a total of 16 XP (S:5, T:4, A:4) Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story Dramatis Personae: ******* Chapter 7 - Corellia Speeder Bike Chase << to previous chapter It's an early morning on Corellia. Aves is playing taxi for Ward Len'ya and steering his Gliese tandem speeder towards the old Coronet industrial center, when they suddenly get chased by some relentless bikers. » We've been compromised! « » No. This has nothing to do with you! They are coming for me! It's the Ban-Krieva-Gang! I've been smuggling for their boss and she thinks I still owe her some money. But I strongly disagree! « » Hrmpf. Seems like she lost her patience with you. If we make it, I expect compensation from your boss for this incident! « » Listen, I'm really sorry for this, but no worries. This baby has still some surprises left in her! « Aves manages to outdistance the biker gang and besides some scratches on his beloved tandem, he deploys Len'ya safely to his meeting at the docks... » Mr. Karrde. « » Mr. Len'ya. Good you made it safely. Aves already informed me via intercomm. « » It was close. Too close. Your lieutenant nearly had us killed with his unfinished business. I expect you comepensate for his deficiencies. « » I take responsibility for the actions of my personel. And I think you know that. By the way, I just received the information from my crew, that some years ago, you and the Ban-Krieva-Gang had business going on too. It's for sure just a coincidence and you would never set up one of my employees to undermine my position in our negotiations? « » Of course not. « » Right. After we settled on this, what can a ragged smuggler like I do for you? « » You are too humble, Karrde. Jabba the Hutt's businesses were up for grabs and rumors say, an unknown organisation is taking over. I was maybe thinking you... « » Haha, that's good! I'm not interested in a remote desert palace and a treacherous entournage! Bib Fortuna, is the master of Tatooine now and he's already emulating Jabbas appetite, I heard. « » Jabbas power structure was based on more than a palace and his obesity. We both know that. Anyway. Do you have, what I asked you for? « » Hm. First of all, I don't want to get roped into this war, Len'ya. I'm neutral. What you want, could affect my business in the Imperial sectors, if it comes out. « » The Empire is no more, Karrde. You soon will be dealing with a bunch of bandits pretending to be the empire's last stand, while they squeeze the life out of the worlds they occupy. The sooner they fall, the better. We both expected a deal. It's simple. You have the information and the Republic pays you well. « » Maybe. Still, I have a reputation to lose. And I don't trust you. Especially you should understand that. I'm afraid, I cannot not give you what you requested, Len'ya. But I may give you the information on how you can get what you need. Provided you are willing to pay the price... « to next chapter >> ******* Additional images:
