  1. "I've got the Western force with the Hwacha!" Arasmyth calls.
  2. "Hmmmm. While we're talking about training the troops, would it be possible for one of us to teach them to use magic? Magic is a skill that can only be mastered by a select few, but it seems to me that we should be able to find at least a small group with some affinity for the etherial." OOC: Just wondering if it's plausible, seeing as magically inclined troops could get, like bonuses until their Ether runs out (read: hold off enemies higher than their level for a certain number of turns. I'd understand if you don't want to go with this, as it would be slightly more difficult to realistically describe a training process for arcane abilities, seeing as they don't exist. I could probably come up with a couple paragraphs on magic based on what we've established in Heroica and in other popular fantasy works, though.
  3. "Yes, you're correct in that I'm capable of solely Wind and Lightning Spells, Althior's, so if Will or Arthur wants the Emerald, they can have it." OOC: You two are the only ones who expresses interest, if I remember correctly, so either of you can have it.
  4. The way I see it is: A weapon's elemental properties only come into play when attacking with the weapon and not with spells. You can't use the gem imbued in the weapon for spells. So spell elements and weapon elements don't stack. Although, the FAQ in the first post explains that a dual-element weapon would stack, so a Wind/Ice spell on a Vermin would deal 4x damage and a Wind/Lightning spell on a Machine would deal normal damage.
  5. " I guess one might say... that battle was a breeze." "So what is this plan of yours. Arthur?"
  6. First the Scroll, then my Staff...I feel so ignored
  7. "Haha, looks like I'm on fire, I'll repeat my action!
  8. Also, Slowed: Character acts once every other turn, and Demoralized: Power is halved would work as counterparts to Hastened and Encouraged.
  9. OOC: I've got a Scroll of Sealing, but it probably won't be of much use here...
  10. "Right, I'll explode onto the scene with my Hwacha, targeting the huge mass of elves.
  11. Well, the Quick-Acting Poison would be for heroes around Level 5, where 1 seems wimpy but 10 is lethal, and the other, in a long running battle, is horrendously deadly - on the fifth turn, it's doing more damage than the Bad Poison, and on the sixth, it would 1HKO most heroes and severely cripple even Paladins like Cronk or Boomingham at 32 damage!
  12. Oh, derp. Epic fail on my part, I was looking at your sig!
  13. Wouldn't Zoot's Bane, being Light-elemental, deal twice as much damage as healing and not cost Ether? Also, Sandy, my ideas for more deadly Poisons as the Heroes get more and more HP: Quick-Acting Poison: Deals 1 damage the first turn, 2 the second, 3 the third, etc. Lethal Poison: Deals 1 damage the first turn, 2 the second, 4 the third, 8 the fourth, 16 the fifth, etc. And, most feared of all: MATHEMATICIAN'S POISON!: Deals 1 damage the first turn, 1 damage the second turn, 2 damage the third turn, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc. BTW, that last one was a joke. Just in case you didn't get that.
  14. "You look like you need a breath of fresh air, Elite B!" Arasmyth calls, casting Wind from the back row on him. [/b]
  15. "I'll take down Archer B with Wind, he doesn't seem like one of my fans!"
  16. "Well I'm shocked at this spot 'o bad luck I'm having, guess I need to jump-start my magic!" Arasmyth drones, repeating his attack.
  17. "I agree, my good man. It appears we need to amp up this battle!" Arasmyth replies, casting Lightning on Onager B.
  18. Sandy, are you planning anything with Bluto and Baba Yaga? Because I could totally see a "Rescue Bluto!" Quest from the Ziegfreids based on this D&D adventure. I would totally go on that.
  19. "Let's fire up this battle!" Arasmyth hiccups, aiming the Hwacha at the elves in the West and lighing the fuse.
  20. As the effects of the Hurricane fall over Arasmyth, his tongue feels lighter and he has a floating sensation. He deftly tosses his smoke bomb to somewhere in the general vicinity of Althior, and a bitingly witty phrase exits his mouth: "No problem, my good chap. This surely oughta cloud their judgements, oh yes!" he slurs. OOC: I'll italicize all the puns Arasmyth uses like I did here so you don't have to hunt them out, though most of them should be pretty obvious
  21. "Oh, I'll chug the Hurricane before the battle."
  22. Well, you guys are about to get a hurricane of puns from your favorite aeromancer. Guess he's a genius!
  23. An interesting thing to note is that the flick-fire missles on Lasha's Bite Cycle have the Fangpyre emblem on them, which implies that it is indeed a Fangpyre vehicle that was given to Lasha. I'll probably put Snappa on it, though, so it fits in with my fleet of Fangpyre vehicles.
