  1. I grew up with KK1 and 2, and finally when I'm done really "growing up as a kid", (14 now), we finally get one of the best castle themes of all time. Castle wins. I actually liked some KK2 sets, and KK1 were for me and my sister. But secondly his Harry Potter- me and my sister also bought some of those.
  2. I really like this! The great detail put into everything, those awesome windows, and the sweet waterfall! I also really like the diorama you've made, with the forestman especially... But as I said about an MOC before, making cliffs like that seem to lack the really "rugged" look and seem smooth as compared to jagged. But otherwise, perfect MOC!
  3. This topic obviously has no meaning, so I'm going to end it now. CLOSED I'm joking, just thought I'd spook you. Nice cause, I'm in full support of the dragons! Someone could make banners for the cause, if you'd like!
  4. It's always been 200$...
  5. You're right, that's a tiny army...
  6. Pretty big welcome I'm getting here, thanks. Maybe I can help with the whole promotion thing, and making up stories. I'm really good at writing, and if you want I could send you some "universal" stories where everyone can submit their character and join the big "brawl", that would be sweet. Encourage conflict between two nations, from as simple as good and evil to exact names like Morcia vs. Bat Knights, with allies, that would be pretty cool.
  7. Name: Sir Oakley Age: 28 Background: Once a famed general for the Bull Knights, Oakley decided to take his crusade to the forests, for resources. However, he is ambushed by the Dark Forest Bandits, a vile and sneaky group of thieves who kill both the rich and the poor, for profit. Sir Oakley had encountered the Forestmen clans in the forest further North, but these were treacherous- old castle parts wrenched from their original fortresses and made a part of the forest. Stripped of his rank and honour for his loss at the hands of petty thieves, he vowed to get revenge or die trying. His crusade to control the Lion Knights and stop the consistant undead attacks by the wizard turned into a crusade to liberate the entire world in the name of crime. Due to his knowledge of the enemy (he has snuck into every base by the will of the Bandit leader and has learnt vital military information), few dare to fight the bandits, and he has a knowledge of all weaponry (how to fight with and wield, from your average dagger to the Wand of the Crownie Wizard). Otherwise, he's a roguish thief, serving as a minor villain for the other characters of this world. Faction: Dark Forest Bandit Class/Place in Hierarchy: Criminal Equipment: Bow and Arrow, Shortsword, Treeaxe Looks: Like any other Dark Forest Bandit, only stronger and maybe smarter.
  8. I like the detail put into this car. Boxes galore, but for once in a lifetime, it doesn't look at all like overkill. I like the airy yet daunting look of the main crate. As said before, everyone wants to know what's inside! The signature design and use of chains is the icing on the cake. Great job.
  9. Something I really like about your rail car is that worked down, beaten-up look of a ghost town you have going. The door, the roof, and that dead arm are only the beginning. The ladders and smokestack are really nice, and the log pieces of course follow with the rest of the train. Great MOC!
  10. Thanks man, but I've been around. I guess I must have been too lazy to spot the posts or something, but yeah, someone should MOC that. Probably you, seeing as you have the kind of haunted WW theme pinpointed. Glad to meet you!
  11. I'm here, and ready to play. Could someone tell me exactly what it is we do, and where we are right now?
  12. No offence- make this 7.99 CAN. Too expensive to be coming with only a few figures. 20$ earns you the same amount of figs, plus a catapult, barricade, two horses and a jousting divider.
  13. I really, really like the MOC. Lots of humour used here, and at the same time, it stays with the castle theme and is extremely well designed and built. However, as a quick addition if you want, the cliffs look pretty smooth. Maybe some more plants would help it out. Otherwise, 10/10!
  14. I really like what you've done here. You've made a highly detailed Torture chamber with multiple tools of pain ( ) and I love the addition of the furnace and small table (with wine on it). Great figures, an amazingly gloomy feel- I like how the wheel hangs on the wall. Simple as it is, I like how your lantern looks. The orange light was a good choice. I finally adore the trapdoor, how it opens and closes, and how there's even a supplied rafter to use the chain as a pulley. I like the random weapons just lying around, waiting to be used- the axe in the dark corner in particular. My absolute favourite part is the "headlock" torturing device (I forget what it's called) because it looks to be simple enough to create the horror effect yet not going overboard by making this huge pile of blood, spikes coming out of it and all sorts of weird additions. Very well done!
  15. The skeletons will be recieving their chariot, to tie in with the final castle impulse of this year, a miniature crownie catapult.
  16. And anyone remember the Wilhelm Scream in this movie? lol, that nerdy guy just standing there: "AUUUGH!"
  17. I like those Leias, a lot...
  18. Indy was better than Speed Racer, but not worth seeing over and over IMHO. Too... weird.
  19. I think the movie's too weird to make reasonable sets for it. It's not bad, just way too different from the others and almost negatively unique. I agree, and also, there was no food in that scene. The Russians were just dancing to Russian Music, not eating Bananas and Chicken. And also, the map's small and isn't even that big a part. The tent's okay, far too small. For the River Chase, there was no tree whatsoever. No Russians in that scene really, anyways. Mutt, yes. But remember, that would be 3 sets with Mutt. Why not Oxley, or Mac? The Jungle Cutter's nice, I actually felt bad for Dovchenko. The tank blow-up isn't that great, I love it when the blade goes flying through the forest, so why isn't that a feature? The "engine" thing doesn't blow, the whole thing does! The hideout was never included, maybe that tomb place halfway through? And the temple... Lego couldn't have made a weirder representation. I didn't like how the "sand puzzle" wasn't included. No sand is needed of course, just buttons to push! And the traps in the temple are put in to fill in where the movie forgot! Finally yes, the vehicle isn't practical or even in the movie. The aliens were pretty good representations if you ask me, but still- the skeleton with the helmet appears earlier in the film, does he not?
  20. (SPOILER ALERT) That scene was kind of nasty.
  21. It's harder than you think to not insult AFOL's, so good job there. Yesterday, I went to the store for the Indiana Jones sets. The movie got mixed, that bugged me, so I was already unsure about buying the Indy sets. The Jungle Duel was sold out completely, and today was the first day JD was sold. Every single one of the 50+ copies was taken. Usually, that doesn't happen. But then I saw the reason, and BOY was I bricked off. One of the bad traits some AFOL's get is taking multiple copies of things. I don't mean a couple, for pieces and stuff. I mean buying out the megablocking store, it's not fair. AFOL's usually don't do that, but some do it to get a profit. These AFOL's shouldn't label the typical Eurobricker, but man, I hate it when they take half the copies when I practically never buy sets and earned the ten dollars for it.
  22. In a millisecond during the trailer, you can make out a grey plane with a tiny bit of yellow. Is this how they were transported? And by the way, I can't wait for the movie! Despite mixed reviews, I actually like it and it will probably become an 8 instead of 7's and 6's. I wish people would stop dissing it in reviews, it ruins the whole feeling sometimes, you know? I try not to make a big deal out of only liking movies that are great, but my min. requirement for a favourite movie is an 8. This can't beat the Shining, but it COULD become a favourite Indiana Jones if it's that good... Seeing it Friday probably.
  23. Bringing back the Chess Topic again: is anyone seriously buying it? I want it. I have never played chess, so I tried it on my computer. I'm okay. I've lost every battle but hardly, and I really enjoy it anyways. Ah well... what if it becomes a LEGO classic? A good set, not just a specialty 200$ masterpiece? As loved as the DS and as praised as the MF? I'd buy it then. I love the ideas- the idea's good, but the price isn't.
  24. Never had a maid, but once I blacked out for a few seconds when my UCS Tie Advanced fell on me from a tall shelf. BOOM and the thing fell, I hit the bed in a second.
  25. EVERYONE gets you. Seriously, that's incredibly emotional and sad news. Forgive me for asking, but out of curiousity, what was his last set to you?
