  1. That's a tough one. It looks like a new piece, one whole tire and wheel put together, but I don't have the set. However, the Peeron database shows that it is the same wheel used in the UCS Batmobile and the Dune Buggy of 2006, along with some sets between then. Concerning the tire however like you asked, it IS in fact a new piece, only featured in the Technic Dune Buggy of 2008 as well. http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/8492-1
  2. Greg Fartsty's a bit over his Krika this Bionicle Season... ...glad I quit.
  3. *throws glaive, it whirls around a corner and comes back and gets stuck in my head*
  4. Hey guys, here's a question- which character do you represent? Good old Aayla on these forums, Ashoka, Clone Troopers, Vader, Lt. Veers and many more people make a relation between them and a character. If you could choose one character that represented you the most, out of the available LSW characters (the line, not the game), which one would you choose? Most likely, the Rebel Trooper from the Rebel Scout Speeder represents me the best. They're fun cannon fodder...
  5. Actually, that Russian Tank thing is pretty neat if you ask me. I like the blades, and the first three sets don't look so "young". The last one needs better pictures and a good review, but the first ones already pretty much have my approval.
  6. You're a natural, I haven't seen the video yet, but I will tommorrow. Loving those hinges, and your methods are- ...MY BOY! ...sorry.
  7. Heh, no problems guys. Just the anxiety people get, I just posted it because I had nothing better to do and I was annoyed. I ended up buying Temple Escape just last night, and I topiced without thinking. No more sneaking, don't want to look like some shoplifter. Also, I'm gonna put up a Temple Escape Review. I'm trying to collect all of the Indiana Jones sets this year, it'll take a while, but heck, maybe one day I'll reach normality. :P Sorry for wasting everyone's time, and close please.
  8. Too lazy to look up the set number, could you please clarify it up a bit? But yeah, Lego's got loads of mistakes. Red Visorak Instructions for a Blue Visorak Set just with the front picture being for the blue one. But honestly, I don't mind it at all. It's more the stickers being unclear (as to where they go) sometimes that annoys me (EG the Spiders in Temple Escape). *classic*
  9. No offence, but who's going to know what this is/want it? Nice ship and all I guess though I prefer the OT version, but it would be a useless space filler in my opinion. If anything, they'd introduce the main ships that really re-enact the stories, and I haven't heard any media attention to this ship whatsoever. Don't get your hopes up, but for sure, I'd like to see some MOC's of it. The point is that this one'll likely stay off shelves.
  10. 1 EA Endor One 1 Anakin Swoop Bike Liking the looks of that new one too, as wisely said before. ;)
  11. $1800. For what I've spent it on, it's been a pretty terrible run to be honest, I've enjoyed about half of the sets. But LEGO's been good to me, it's just that I was stuck in it's little "depression" age and bought most of my things from this. Half is Bionicle, probably. Financially, I haven't been so amazing. But I don't care, being slightly lower income/commission than other families just makes me think more about what I'm buying, and that makes me very happy.
  12. Prepare for my stupid story, and try to answer it if humanely possible. My cousin's cool. He likes LEGO too, Star Wars strict most of the time. Unfortunately, lately it seems that he's already bought all of the sets I wanted to buy on my own, and when I visit him I see all of them up close. Sounds minor and stupid, but I was planning on buying them too, of course. So I go to TRU with my sneaking hood on in case anyone I know sees me, I go to buy the set... but the feeling's gone. I've already seen the set up close, fooled around with it, played with it, and most of the time, I've built stuff for him already. Awesome cousin has suddenly put me in a pain in the arsenal predicament. I just don't feel like buying any of these sets any more- I just "won't have fun" with them. So I've been planning to buy all of the Indiana Jones sets, but now, he's got them right away. I practically cried when he got the upper hand again, I lost interest the second he had them. Why? I got the Slave I and he didn't, I felt geniuine. It worked out: He got the ISD and Jabba's Sail Barge, V-Wing and B-Wing, I got the Slave I, B-Wing, A-Wing and Tie Interceptor. My top four star wars sets, I like them. But one thing's for sure- I bought 2 sets in 2007... a deformed Pridak, and 10 months later, the Tie Advanced UCS. Wow, it's fun to look at and all, but UCS models are frustrating. They're cool models, but they sit there with no play and dust. Raiders is an all-time favourite, my personal #1, and he goes out and buys three except for the big one- he's getting that later. I'm buying him the 30$ one, which made the steam just rise... for the love of god, I wanted them but I lost interest when he had them. I don't get it, I feel like I'm just lashing out of frustration. He bought at least 350$ worth of LSW, I got 130$. I didn't mind until he bought the Indy first and ruined the chance of having a set he finally didn't. What I'm asking is if you've ever felt a situation like this, or if I'm just an idiot who should honestly be banned. I'm 14, he's 10, so I feel like a monster for talking like this. It's a small issue, but I feel strongly about it. It's probably just some uncontrollabl jealousy, but it worked out before- he gets the sets he wants, he clears a path usually for the ones I want to get (he didn't buy the Slave I). But the only sets I like left over from what he didn't buy are the Jedi Starfighter, the Rogue Shadow, and the AT-AP. I actually hate them, but they're reasonable if I get desperate. I've tried buying past sets, but I'm sick and tired of getting sets 20 days after my Birthday, or having to wait, or having to pay triple for something I should have bought. I've been planning to quit for 8 months, I've been hiddenly miserable, and all I've gotten was sarcasm. I just want to buy a few sets and leave, I just don't want to buy anymore. I want to keep the "last ones" I get, to keep forever and look back at in 30 years. You get what I'm saying. But him spending on them as if there's no feeling behind them really bugs me. He got a Wii. He got the 300$ sets. I'm still waiting for a gap in which he doesn't buy the sets I was going to get and ruin them by making me build them/having them before me. Sorry for lashing out, I just wanted to get them out. I could buy all of the Indy sets right now, I've barely spent anything. But he has them, and there just seems to be no point as to why I'd start buying them when he has all 4, which I've already played with and ruined the building process.
  13. I'll take a V-Torrent, A Magnaguard Fighter and Anakin's Fighter please? Buying that Anakin ship tommorrow night before my birthday, first lego for four months. Then, I'll hold bout 120$ until August and buy the other two ships. Sorry if it sounded braggy, I'm just a little overly-enthusiastic about these sets.
  14. Anyone have any other ideas/want to suggest anything for me to do to show people how to deal with your UCS models? Fire and Buzz Droids have been covered.
  15. Hoping to start saving them, I saved my Tie Advanced one but that's all so far.
  16. No need to apologize for the drawback that is homework. I was wondering if maybe we could help you out in some way? Give you some sort of... template (?) for when you have time to finish. PS: I didn't submit my character before the deadline, but I was kinda hoping mine could come in before the second comic if possible, maybe as a new character.
  17. I once dived into a pile of Lego. Point before I hit the bricks, I realised I had forgotten me trunks. Wished I had a fine collection of EXO-FORCE hair rather than a truckload of Burps. :-X
  18. Hey Vader, that's an excellent review, and I'm certainly glad that you especially did a review of this set (not that anyone elses attempt could have been bad... err... I mean... oh god, never mind). Is the ship "too" different, and is it almost "megablocksy" like some people have said bout the AT-AP? Or, is it way better? A fun, AFOL-enjoyable build?
  19. Most likely, it's not having enough. I had many Star Wars sets in my collection, but most are going to my cousin. All in all my last purchase was Christmas- a set I wanted from 2 years ago. The Tie Advanced, it's still intact and will hopefully always be. Buying a 360 was awesome, but reaped my money. I was into Warhammer, but I quit out of frustration due to money and re-joined Lego. Now, I want to start saving up for University or something big, so I'm buying all the huge Lego sets I want now. A couple of days is my birthday, and I get paid my monthly 40$. I can basically get anything. So all in all, it's the durability and not having enough to make a prominent display. I can't decide on what else to get.
  20. It looks pretty good on models, though it sticks out. I might put it on Brickshelf for all to see. On the Tie Advanced, I put it in the "wing indents" (on the grey wing pieces, 4X9, between the grey and dark grey pieces. The saw fits perfectly in there. Also, it seems to benefit from being on an odd angle- a tilted angle just above the cockpit, tearing into the front. Also, due to the plating, you can hang it upside down on the ship. But usually, I put it on the "wiring" at the back of the ship. It "digs" its saw into the various nooks and cranies. All in all, if placed right, it doesn't look like a battle droid hanging off of a diving ship. :p Edit: Here, I got some on Brickshelf. There are only two pictures so far, but I'll add more eventually. It sticks out a bit, but I think it still looks pretty cool. Also, I found a load of flame pieces and showed all the possible locations on which a Tie Advanced UCS can hold flame pieces. Also, the construction of the buzz droid if you're planning on making a homebrew one. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=307182
  21. I decided that the best thing to do with my Buzz Droid was to put it on my UCS fighter model. Darth Vader's Tie Advanced was a wonderful set, but I thought it needed some "pizazz" to get it going for display. I tried Vader in the cockpit, and it didn't work out due to flaws with the seat. However, no matter how untrue to the plot it is, I decided that an awesome display would be by putting an Episode III Buzz Droid onto an Episode IV ship. Looking good, if you ask me! Many complained about the size of the droid compared to minifig ships, however, I think this fits just perfectly. The saw doesn't seem to drastically huge anymore, and due to the many angles with studs, you can pose the droid on many parts of various ship's bodies. This will work on many ships, however, the Y-Wing would probably be the next closest ship (there is a big gap between the Y-Wing and anything else other than non-bley models). I'm sure that a couple of them would look awesome on your models- just an idea to fellow Eurobrick members. If you want to test it, the Buzz Droid is overall easy to build and can be made with a few simple pieces. Though you won't have the stenciling on the "ears", you can just imagine that you are using the official model. Put it on, and see for yourself. If you like it, maybe a couple of them off of Ebay or from your own collection would really compliment this set. (Could someone help? The picture system doesn't work with my pictures, and I'd really like to show.)
  22. In my opinion, Rex looks cooler than Cody. Those chap-style armour thingies just plain look cool, and I absolutely love the AT-TE design. Now, if only they came out on my B-Day. No sense worrying- I'll just save most of it.
  23. ISD. Extremely impressed during building, and no, there's no "gross neon-green", it fits just fine. A near-perfect build with awesome figures and unique ideas. 10/10, even if I built it for my cousin and don't own it myself. I built both, but the ISD outshines it if you ask me.
  24. I haven't asked a rude question for some time now, so I'll give in now: is this set kind of "too easy"? "Little-kiddish"? It kind of looks like too simple a build, no offence, but I really like it and I'm not sure if I want to miss out on it. It looks pretty darn cool.
  25. How about a Sandtrooper pack? I really like Sandtroopers, especially in sets such as the Landing Craft.
