What faction from Castle do you represent?
Dovchenko replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nah, my avatar could be way better/edited like yours. And though they aren't skellie or crownie, they count. Narrowing it down, crownies = humans with catapults, castles, towers, a king and one dragon... and skellies= skeletons with catapults, castles, towers, a wizard and two dragons. Sometimes, enslaved dragons have the freedom of a real dragon. I'm sure the rider in the troll warship set is very close to the dragon. The dragons in the tower and crownie castle are drawn to the wizard's magic. One of them is spiked, and not ridden. The other is scantily saddled, with merely a skeleton knight on top with a lance. The armour was made to help the dragon. They're part of the faction entirely, they were taken in- unneccesarily, but for the better. Basically, I feel that you should be happy about the fact that there even ARE dragons for once. The dragon statement only goes so far, and LEGO is out of reach. I didn't make it that Dragons weren't their own race, they did. You can help dragons, but seriously, I'd like if made a choice happy. Btw, do you have any of the modern dragons? They're pretty neat, I'm getting that green one. -

You think ERAGON can free the dragons?! Too busy with Arya or whats-her-name. Poor dragonator thinks I'm arguing with him! Not at all, I'm just trying to prove a point laddie! -
Awesome! A perfect, 10/10 MOC, I love that cliff and each of the "small" specialty racers. If you look at those old, 4-piece "racers" from 2001- the one with the ice ramp? It came with two specialty cars and a track portion for racing. This is what the style reminds me of... a small scene with two smaller and equally themed yet individualy awesome cave racers. I like the parrot and that native, only place I could ever love an EXO-FORCE head. The use of SNOT for the water is great!

That's right, I forgot to put in my vote! One vote for the Orcs. They've got amazing vehicles, I just got my first modern castle the battle wheel today, and I'm very impressed. A wonderful build, with the Orc style just radiating from it! ORCS!!!!! -
A very nice set up here, small but at the same time, it makes an excellent raiding force. Plus, it's difficult to get those figures. They're great, and using the Yellow Castle as a base, your large raiding force becomes a true army. And Tiny Pies, that's an awesome diorama! I'm begging you to rebuild it and give me more pictures!

All of these MOC's are irreplacable. I love how you made this work- the three old men, and a man with his wife. All three heads are from different themes with different styles, but they fit together excellently. I especially love that umbrella/carousal. More figures!

That is really nice. Your use of slopes to fit in the tiles in ingenious if you ask me, and with that large building it looks absolutely beautiful. But I'm wondering- do the tiles stay in place? Or, would they fall out? But it's still perfect in my books.

It's not that I won't represent you. Skellies and Crownies may not own dragons, but if they aren't, they're at least in top notch control with armour, saddles and sometimes chains. Dragon Knights, on the other hand, have dragons attracted to their faction. Please don't make this difficult, please don't make me say "sentient humanoid beings" . You understand what I mean, they aren't as free as I, you and probably the world would have hoped. However, the elves should have some mythological creatures next year if they come out, perhaps dragons, who have free souls. So, let me narrow it down to you. Would you prefer: -A black and red matching dragon pair, one with a rider and one free but guarding a skeleton tower? or... -A green dragon heavily armoured with a Crownie rider and some chains? Not that I don't respect the power of the dragons, but it's the truth. -
Mystery Castle - Game and Index
Dovchenko replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm interested... but pre-assigned characters? No offence, but I'd rather not be forced to play a certain role etc. But if it's a Mystery Castle Game you want, I'm in! ~ -
Just the troll battle wheel (three Orcs, three Crownies). But when I buy some more- 8 Crownies, with a barricade, supply cart, dragon and prison tower (put all together makes an entire "prison".) 14 Orcs, with two trolls, a battle wheel, battle wagon, siege tower, warship, two small boats and arrow cart. 1 Dwarf Prisoner

Yes. Remove the stargate and expand on it to make some base or something, and maybe make a temple in the Stargate's place? I like your MOC alot, those figs are perfect! PIZZA SHIELDS IN PARTICULAR!

Come on, you know what I mean. Dragons are represented by both Crownies and Skeletons in the MODERN castle series. It's easy to choose who's the most dragonlike of the classic castle sets- well, the Dragon Knights. When that classic castle topic is created, of course you'll have your dragons. But here, it's like voting "Catapult", or "Battering Ram". Everyone's got one. In this case, two seperate teams have dragons, and you're opposed to either team owning one in the first place! . I respect dragon rights as much as you do, but merc's, trolls or dragons are where I draw the line. In the modern fantasy world, they're based on a particular race. Trolls would count as a vote for Orc Trolls. All I can say is that you can either choose one of the five races (preferably Skellie or maybe Crownie), or wait until the new topic comes up. Remember, there is no seperate dragon theme here in Lego other than your beloved Dragon Knights. -

The Small Red Ninja one gets a pity vote, and that Flying Ninja Fortress looks like a SWEET set! I have no problem with open backs, and honestly, not having them would be a pointless idea. Low walls like in LEGOREDO are the best idea, but fully closed and only-accesable-by-removing-pieces-or-moving-hinges can be just weird! People claim that having open sides makes fortresses hard to attack. I hate to say this, but who came up with that arguement? Of course, no one's going to make a side attack when they're playing! Do they in other sets? No, most "sides" and "backs" of sets have no substance anyways! I'm not going to call it a stupid idea to complain, but I think there isn't enough evidence to prove that open sets, forts and sides etc decrease the set visually.

No, I didn't. This poll only counts the five modern ones, and seeing as dragons count for both skellies and crownies, but Dragons are not a seperate race, their vote doesn't count. When I reach poll status (far away but ah well), I'll open up another another topic, correct from the start without any need of topic changing, that covers the old castle as well from KK2 and older. Don't worry Dragon Fans, you won't be missed! -

I still love that Safari MOC you made (the plains with the car and safari animals) and seeing how you made the bird up close, Indy-Style, is really neat.

18-J/ Borderline Dark Forest Territory Take it from Sir Oakley, wandering outside of Forestmen/Dark Forest Bandit Territory was no joke. With the Bulk of Crownies with their dwarven allies and the scattered yet fierce Wolfpack Clans waiting for any intruders to enter their land, getting in was tough. I don't think that a single one of those wretched crownies will be able to get all of the splinters out of his mouth. Or, his eyes. Or, his ears. Yes, I guess goring someone through the mouth with a sharpened wooden pike and then twisting it around could cause some splinters. Maybe, just maybe, an irritation. Brain loss. But moving away from the sadistic slaughtering of the border guards, I'm moving away from the fiercer territory, and I hope to make eastward until I reach the camp. A slaver camp that is, one stuffed with so many Fright Knights, Ninjas and Bull Knights that people are literally stuffed into cells, barely being able to scratch one's head wondering "Where am I?" or better yet "Who's going to save us from those Crownies?" If you haven't noticed, it's the weaker armies with either poor politics, bad training or a general lack of influence on the world. Why I'm leaving the Bandit lands is actually to begin developing an actual hierarchy. We're all just misfit bandits- not misfits... some of the highest class criminals in the kingdom. We were just... neglected. We're all human- the Orcs want no part of it, the Fright Knights only wish to feed on flesh, the undead have one common goal and absolutely no free minds- the dwarves work with the Crownies... the Elves live amongside us already, but refuse to join us due to their powerful magic and beliefs, not to mention an ill view on magic. I'm delivering important documents to a member of the Bandits- information about the relationship between us bandits and other races. Reading it aloud: VIKINGS (ENEMIES): Attacking Ninjas and Gaining Resources. These travelling people wish to dominate this weakening faction, and engulf it. NINJAS (NEUTRAL): Civilization in lock-down, pulling back all aid sent to help Scorpions and pushing all military against Vikings. SCORPIONS (ENEMIES): Fighting King Jayko of the second kingdom of knighthood, engaging knights at the border with the support of the Ninjas. BULL KNIGHTS (NEUTRAL): Generally inactive, though fighting has continued with the first kingdom of knighthood as it always has. Not aggresive. LEGOLAND KNIGHTS (NEUTRAL): The oldest of factions, generally in ruins. No aggresive actions so far, in which the king left the nation. Not being attacked, unagressive. DRAGON KNIGHTS (NEUTRAL): If anything, all we've seen is the wizard's wicked experiments with dragons and their war machines. Never came in Forestmen/Dark Forest Bandit Contact. BLACK FALCONS (ENEMIES): Having met in a previous decade during the war, they know out Forestmen ancestors well and with utter hatred due to the fact that they refused to help them in their war against the Black Knights. SECOND KINGDOM OF KNIGHTHOOD/MORCIA (ENEMIES): Too occupied and zealous to even notice us bandits, but kill any ill-willed people on sight. FIRST KINGDOM OF KNIGHTHOOD (ENEMIES): Though they ignore Dark Forest Bandits, the Royal Knights are their allies, and they have caught wind of us. CRUSADERS (ENEMIES): Religous crusading and the Wolfpack being in the way are the only things that keep them from assaulting us. BLACK KNIGHTS (NEUTRAL): Do not hold the same hatred to us that the Falcons did to our ancestors, but still kill us on sight for unknown reasons. Slowly attacking Falcons and sometimes the Firght Knights. FRIGHT KNIGHTS (NEUTRAL): Neutral to us, we have never met them despite them coming around the era of the Dark Forest Bandits. If left alone, a friendly faction. If you venture into the vampiric lands, you are often eaten on sight. ROYAL KNIGHTS (NEMESI): Present during the same era, entirely aggresive and hunting us and the forestmen down. They wish to dominate us, they are our true enemies. Their scouts have been sighted in our forest. Kill on sight and often attack our lands. WOLFPACK (ENEMIES): What would have been friends (the Wolfpack seems to be a mix between actual knights and some bandits like us) certainly didn't respond well when we offered them trade. We both try to stay away from one another. FORESTMEN (FRIENDLY): Basically the same as us, but more heroic. Not attacking, generally unagressive except for stragglers. However, Royal Knights are constantly attacking, killing hundreds of these hidden warriors with their swordsmen. CROWN EMPIRE (ENEMIES): They know about us alright. Missing traders, battalions disapearing. Their dragons will sometimes run into our forests, no one dares go and find it. If we come across one, we let it be, but if it can be tamed, we remove its armour and set it free (we agree with the cause of Francis Marion). They don't attack us, but seeing as they are right next to us and they attack us on sight anyway, they stop us from really moving around the kingdom. DWARVES (ENEMIES): We don't know them well, but they know us as well as the crownies do. Their mine defenders are good at shredding the trees in which we live, better keep them far away. But it remains to be seen if they will ever become allies. ORCS (ENEMIES): Like beasts, they reign through everyone's land, except for their military allies, the Undead. Somehow, they know we're here. They come by sea, pouring their machines of hell onto our land, ripping up everything in their path. They may not be attacking us (this may be a secret route to get to the Crown Empire), but Orcs attack everything, so they're not friendly to us. UNDEAD (ENEMIES): Though the Vikings, Ninjas and Second Kingdom of Knighthood are the least informed of us, the skeleton army either has no use for us or treats us like the Fright Knights- a neutral army. Speaking of Fright Knights, they share extreme similarities between them and Undead. Vampirism and Undead would be a formidable force. ELVES (FRIENDLY): We were surprised to find them as allies, they would not attack us due to our protection of the forest. We have protected one another. Rolling up the giant scroll and putting it in my sash, I continued on my way through the Crown territory. (I came up with a good idea! Seeing as my character has investigated every faction throughly, he gets exact updates on their status. When your character does something, with your permission or request to me, you can be included in the reports! EG: WhiteFang aided us in slaughtering our enemy. In no way does this interfere with YOUR stories, but rather mentions your for others to hear.)

Amazon Ancient Ruins 5986 Review
Dovchenko replied to voltio's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review! I just barly missed the Jungle series, growing up with half a year of Jungle and mainly Orient Expedition and Dino Island. I like Egypt more, but this set (despite the 4x4 palm tree) is practically perfect. I love the detail and vibrant colours. Gotta say, I've got a thing for Pippin Reed myself. By the way, what does "VHTF" mean? -
Ingenious! The story was absolutely hilarious, let's hope "working Overtime" for Mr. Bulldog doesn't involve his cow wife in any way! Stick to the noobs from Vader's chamber! Darkforestfan

I have them all, and though the Yeti is easily the best, Tygurah gets a pity vote. The tail is actually sweet on the other hand, and the set he comes in is so much fun to play with. Jun Chi's is the worst, and the Yeti's set and figure are probably the strongest.

That was incredibly stupid. So you'd better make another. -Darkforestfan

Either way, it means the same thing. Lego or Legos. Sounds like they'll have to be named the TLSC from now on...
