And remember, even if they are a lot like Matchbox Cars or Hot Wheels, it doesn't mean TT's are for a younger audience. Maybe I'll buy em and all Batman this year, unless I succumb to Mars Mission...

A big welcome to -Dark Lord- everyone!
-
You just don't hear enough about them. Nice cars, with some excellent models, and they remind me of the Hot Wheels I used to play with when I was a bit younger. But no one seems to like them very much, or at least doesn't mention it. But with some honesty, without any other TT likers, it makes me feel a tiny bit left out and not in the mood to buy that awesome Brick Street Customs . So, if anyone else likes TT's, here's your chance to talk about them if you even want to. And my first "on" statement: TINY TURBOS ON!!!!!!

LEGO officially calls Troll warriors "Orcs"!

Nah, Damien Drugs... see on the label? Good for broken foot. And shadows, you never trusted a doctor? Why don't you come visit me up in the ward, let me see if I can fix or change anything? Trust me, my herbs can heal the deepest of inflictions and clean the worst of wounds.
-
Heh heh. Damien very superstitious and talk kind of funny as compared to the other people.

Back, and in action. Worried I might get speared if I didn't make some time for this. Here's the little story on my character: It's difficult to come from an Indian culture, especially with few other believers in the- never mind. I never will be able to share the stories of the Eagle with them either, he has been long in waiting and restless over these past few years; so long as they also fail to believe in the- never mind. Oh, fine. I'm not sure if I've just become sadistic after the King's murder, or if I'm really hysterical or something, but over these few weeks serving as the keep's doctor, I've begun to see things. Things that resemble death, a spirit in my head that cannot be cured with my herbs, or books. To rid myself of these thoughts, I've used philosophy. The Eagle, proud and true, keeps these demons away from me. Hopefully for good. I stare out the windows, hoping that through the rain and lightning and away from the mysterious and haunting ground below, my original tribe also wonders where I am. Once when hunting buffalo, I chased it away from our tribal grounds, winding up in front of the magnificent keep. They... my new masters... found me on the grounds and were fairly hospitable to me. Well, somewhat. They gave me dry clothing, food and shelter, but they also forced me to be their doctor. These people were violent about it- one of the burlier ones pulled out his sword and threatened to kill me with it. Recieving the job here was fairly easy- my masters required a doctor skilled with medecine- so I was hired. My opinion on the wizard? He looks okay to me. He seemed interested in my herbs, but I'm not sure whether it was to evaluate me or if he was actually interested in my work. If this is about if I was the murderer... well, of course not! I'm a doctor, right? Harmless doctor. Blame the chef or something. You can trust me...

Mystery Castle - Game and Index

I submit to the greatness of Lord Dragonator. -
You know what? Lego Castle needs more sets for 2008!
Dovchenko replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Don't like Clone Wars, wouldn't bother buying Coast Guard and Agents- nice, but too expensive for me, even if I buy the small sets I'd rather collect them all. Castle's a must, as well as those four batman's. -
Review: 7888 Batman - The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Superise
Dovchenko replied to ???theriddler???'s topic in LEGO Licensed
Excellent review! This and the other four Batman sets are must buys. -
On second thought... Ironhook. He looks better than that annoying Redbeard, his torn clothes exclusive pants and much neater "get the job done" style makes him look like only a very minor leader- which he may be. But Redbeard is probably lazy as heck, those perfectly prissy clothes, while Ironhook has that torn red vest, a knife and a "shipwrecked" kind of look. Whoever said he was a loser was... wrong. IRONHOOK!

PICTORIAL REVIEW: 1747 Pirates Treasure Surprise
Dovchenko replied to Lord Of Pies's topic in LEGO Pirates
Nice, but pretty boring looking set. -
Ready to help. But I have no large ship pieces, I'll only be able to make smaller sets. Maybe I should make some smaller sets for you, I'm not very good at large ones but better at small ones.
-
Greedy. And still I salute you. Let me help you out- www.bricklink.com: the online marketplace for LEGO www.peeron.com: a set reference site that may help you find sets with the figs/parts you need.

What French Polynesian Women really look like

Nice flowers she's holding there. -
Tried it. It's horrible. Somewhat fun at first but without paying money, very daunting. Liked RS way better when I used to play years ago too. Now I'm away from RS for good, I like to play outside nowadays and go biking. But I felt like I missed mmo's. I tried POTC, angry at the lack of any good weapons you can get or ships you can buy without paying, and the graphics are pretty poor. Bad storyline, Jolly Roger does NOT look anything like that. The jokiness of the game is pretty neat though, with several references and stuff. But when you think about it, even when not paying, you're ripped off due to it not being an entirely secure game. I'm not kidding- POTC somehow managed to get a "Trojan" on my computer. Asking around, they said it was bad and good I removed it. The worst customer service. I said I got it from them, they asked for a picture but I said I already deleted the trojan of course... so they kept saying my email was not clear and eventually I trashed it all together.

You know what? Lego Castle needs more sets for 2008!
Dovchenko replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Of course, there's loads to spend on now. I love all of the sets coming out, but I've already started collecting Castle for now. Anyone putting in a vote for a SE set? -
Mcdonalds, it's nice and simple, looks fun to play with on a desk. But all of them look tempting.

Lego Castle last year had all of its sets released by July. Very early, and it gives little to look forward to. However, they realized this, and did some positive advertising for 2008- Dwarves' Mine and Skeleton Ship Attack- two supremely great sets. Special edition, widely released, but when you think about it, the hype/excitement is over for Castle 2007. It's the frustration of been there done that. You see, every set seems to have a hype. The Castle sets of this year are... entirely old news. The warship? Reviewed. Siege tower? Reviewed. Battle car? Reviewed. Impulse sets? Half reviewed. If you look at it on a large scale, there's only two impulse sets, the chess set that no one can really afford, and an advent calender with nine figures and "toys" mainly aimed at the younger castle fans. Total cost? Not counting the chess set, well, 40$ of stuff I don't want in the first place. Two impulses that are great but... well they're only impulse... the advent calender is nice but it's just a bunch of figs and random parts... and with the Chess set it's 340$, few people I know who also like LEGO really are interested in the entire chess hype, and having a 70$ board for fans is really nice- but 300$? No offence, I'd rather pay 300$ for a second wave of castle, like we're getting for Star Wars. We have our Warship, our Battle Wagon, our Battle Wheel, our Siege Tower, our Dwarves Mine Defender, a knight and wizard. Star Wars got the same if not more, and that's only round one. They're getting so much for "round two", at least four exclusives and the all time awaited RGS. Nice sets, but I like to buy castle sets. And us castle fans get four things- two tiny little figure sets that only army builders buy more than once- a chess set that again is for the most part unwanted- and an advent callender. Compared to Star Wars, it's like a raincheck. It's been a pretty lackluster year here at LEGO for Castle fans, and I hope that I've shown you how unfair it really is. It's too late to really make more castle sets, but I'm sure that a special edition is still valid? It's only June, they have half a year like they did with the Dwarves Mine, the sudden wonder of 2007. You know what? We need more castle sets! Another special edition for crying out loud! Indy and Star Wars are nice, but really just good for earning LEGO more money. Castle has had a few sets, not enough to make "a year" in my opinion. Last year? Lots of Castle, Star Wars, and... well, enough of everything to make everyone happy! I think that with 2 special edition sets last year and only one this year, Lego needs to make a second. Maybe if we have an okay amount of people believing we deserve more, I can send it in and maybe, just maybe, we'll get another special edition castle set! The chess is too expensive, the impulses too minor, and advent calenders are great but only Christmas related etc. So give us a nice new special edition, TLC!

Cutlass to foreshadow a return of the Pirate Theme?
Dovchenko replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Pirates
Probably... not. Not that I wouldn't love it to be. These hints are really LEGO moving on from the past theme. But yeah, what an amazing theme it was I missed! -
What faction from Castle do you represent?
Dovchenko replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The troll battle wheel has one, too. -
Welcome to Eurobricks! And good idea, a new elf would be nice. We'll likely get stuck with some extra crownie though...

Amazon Ancient Ruins 5986 Review
Dovchenko replied to voltio's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have to agree. Too few pieces for such a high price- but amazing figs too, and a nice baseplate! Despite a 4+ palm tree, you get more palm tree leaves for MOC's. Plus, I think a monkey? And that sweet Achu figure. -
Ah well, black and grey wouldn't be so much of a colour difference anyway if you know what I mean. We've only got the Troll Battle Wheel in Windsor, ON. Only a few copies left actually, all indy was sold out except for a single jungle cutter, the Ark set and about 10 copies of the motorcycle chase.
