  1. Wait a minute. Are we delving into a conspiracy theory of English Football teams being related to superheroes?! If so… I would like to put forward Man United. I’m not actually a football fan. Am I stupid? I’ll see myself out now.
  2. Happy May 4th. I hope we get some reveals of August sets today but I know we most likely won’t. What Star Wars films or sets are you going to be watching/ building on our fandom’s sacred day? I myself plan on watching TPM, Rogue One, Tales of the Empire and build the Tantive Hallway and Clone vs Droid BP.
  3. All the themes you mentioned all sell better than DC. Ninjago, Space, Friends and City are Lego original themes that get larger waves because they don’t have a licensing cost that weighs them down. Marvel. Is far more culturally relevant than DC at the moment because it’s got so much content going on at the moment. Therefore warrants more sets. Can I ask you what the actual jonk you are smoking to think that Lego DC is comparable in popularity with the behemoth that is Star Wars? It must be some good stuff. Star Wars is what singlehandedly saved Lego from bankruptcy, DC is, I know I may upset some people here, just another Licensed theme that Lego picked up along the way. Star Wars also has far more set potential than DC. (as most Kids won’t recognise the obscure comic stuff) If you asked a Kid whether they recognise a niche bat mobile or an X-Wing more, they’re going to say X-Wing. Even during the golden age of Lego DC, Star Wars sold at least 3 times better. Star Wars will always be an Icon because it’s a cult classic in pop-culture. Superhero themes kinda depend on whether a Hero’s Movie does well or not. Hence why Marvel’s not been making as much sets for new releases as Infinity Saga.
  4. Lego updated the clues for the remaining anniversary figures. I pray that this is teasing a reveal of the anniversary sets tomorrow. Probably not though.
  5. Yeah it would be cool. But I do agree that a Star Destroyer (with exterior set is overdue) I also do agree that we need at least one new rank (or one we haven’t had for a decade) in this set. I still think, because of the current scarceness of imperial personnel, there should be a lot in the ISD or a stormtrooper and imperial crewmen battlepack this January. It does checkout because usually if a faction has a large set in the summer, in the last couple of years they have gotten a battlepack the next January. (2022 AT TE was followed by 2023 501st specialist BP and 2023 CG Gunship was followed by 2024 droid vs clone BP.) It would also be able to tie-in with Andor S2. That’s fair. I was at first disappointed about it not being a DS playset. But my disappointment has now evolved into excitement as I don’t own a ISD. I can’t wait for more details to be revealed. Especially about the interior. Anyway. Any chances of the Anniversary sets being revealed tomorrow? I want to see that star destroyer and whatever the Jonk Coughing Baby’s set really is. I think there’s a small chance. Especially since the August Harry Potter, Mario, Sonic and Minecraft sets have now all been revealed.
  6. Ah a fellow Green Lantern fan. At last! My desires: Blue: Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, Flash and most importantly Saint Walker! White: Kyle Rayner, Hal Jordan and Sinestro. Red: Bleez, Rankorr Atrocitus and Guy Gardner. Orange: Larfleeze for this slot: “Mine!!” Indigo: probably least likely but Indigo 1 and John Stewart Star Sapphire: Carol Ferris, Wonder Woman and Superman. Lanterns are probably the DC property (aside from Batman) that have the most set potential.
  7. Same here. But on the bright side I’m now able to build up my imperial navy. I’ve seen some people on Reddit theorise that it could be a playset of the interior of a star destroyer, hence why it was confused for a Death Star, but as much as that would be cool I don’t see it actually happening. Here are some things that I would like to see in the ISD: 1) More crew-members than officers and named characters. (Crewmen, low rank officers and DS troopers haven’t been in sets for a long time at this point. I also can’t say no to as many stormtroopers as possible) 2) A micro scale Hangar bay that can be seen from the underside of the ship. (Slight call back to original ISD playset by having a hole in centre of ship but it’s mostly for storing tie fighters (portrayed by studs) and not for an escape pod) 3) Small detention Block. 4) Decently detailed command centre. 5) Emperor Hologram 6) Ranks like: Captain, Admiral and Lieutenant. Thoughts?
  8. Kryptonite in the Bat Cave a tease for a sticker of superman in next year’s 4+ set? New Batgirl I believe is the first Lego original Batman design in 3 years.
  9. All in all. The sets that were revealed last night are quite good. But why the actual Jonk were they not revealed on the livestream or not by Lego themselves at all. Honestly this might be the first Advent Calendar in a decade that I skip because it looks quite bland compared to previous years TBH. I’ve already got all the characters in it and think the praetorian guard is a bit clunky. I am seeing a deep inequality that we face compared to other themes. It’s insane for Lego to reveal the full August waves for other licensed themes but not Star Wars which has a special day that would give them special promotion. We technically, because the June wave was revealed by others, didn’t get any reveals at all for their special May 4th celebration. Even though the live stream did say there would be new reveals. In the past when Lego has said “New Reveals” They have actually revealed new sets. It just baffles me. Why is Lego just so unpredictable like this at times? I don’t know why but it actually scares me. The loss of the Death Star playset was unfortunate as I was hoping to mod it into an imperial base. But I am still hyped, just not as much, for the ISD. I wonder if it will be an ISD1 or an ISD2. And what I’m more intrigued about is how big the interior is, or what exactly it entails (aside from the obvious bridge) if it’s going to fit 12 figures? Is Brickclicker’s figure list still valid? I still think relating to Renown’s 1984 quote, an ISB officer and Tarkin are both obscure candidates for a ISD so it’s either one of those. Edit: Are you kidding me! The Harry Potter sets have been revealed! There better actually be some reveals on May 4th. With every other theme’s summer wave that gets revealed the more I think the live stream was a waste of the LSW theme’s budget and resources.
  10. Most likely named possibilities IMO: Admiral Piet, Captain Needa, Admiral Ozzel, General Veers (reuse from meditation chamber) and Vice Admiral Rae Sloane (Reuse from Tie bomber) Generic Ranks that are most likely in a set like this: Captain, Admiral and Lieutenant. “He can see things before they happen. It’s a Jedi trait.”- Qui-Gon Jinn.
  11. It actually reminded me more of Star Scream when I first saw it. Max Baut apparently. I’m not sure what to think. On one hand I was really hyped for a Death Star playset cause I was hoping to mod it into an imperial facility. On the other hand I will be glad to build my imperial fleet. If this rumour is true then I’m actually curious about how big the interior will be for it to accommodate 11 imperial minifigures. I’m actually severely disappointed with the live-stream here in the UK. There were literally no new reveals, and unlike some people say Lego has previously used the term “new reveals” when they actually reveal new stuff. For example Lego Con 2022. They didn’t even reveal the June sets. I’m hoping the live-streams later in other countries actually contain reveals and all the live streams are all one big puzzle that pieces together.
  12. Bunker looks good. Albeit overpriced. I like the look of Rex’s microfighter. The mech looks interesting. More personality than the Vader one. Battlepack looks a bit bland in build but I guess it’s an extension of the bunker. I like the use of the Flying superhero holder piece. What’s the likelihood of some August sets still being revealed?
  13. Are the Schumacher movies good? I’ve heard they’re bad. The only bat-vehicles from films that I’d like remakes of are: a minifig-scale TDK bat-pod (with Man and Jonkler), a remake of The Bat vs Bane’s Tumbler from TDKR, DCEU Batmobile (with Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Superman and Bat-Fleck) and The Batski from Batman Returns.
  14. Unless he got hacked, look who’s back The return of the King. Right I’ll see you fellas this evening for some discussion on the new set reveals. The Marvel and Sonic Sets have been revealed so that lends itself into at least a few August sets being revealed tonight. My apologies for my rant about the state of LSW YouTube earlier. I see that it’s caused some discourse. So once again my apologies.
  15. I’ll be happy with just the June sets. But I really really want to see the August anniversary sets! Especially that Death Star play-set.
  16. Imperial Navy battlepack: 2 navy seamen (in style of 18th century British Royal Navy crewmen) and 2 redcoats (Tri-corn hat) Build is a Dinghy and a small parapet with canon. We seriously need an imperial flagship remake. As a Brit I would be overjoyed if Lego made a HMS victory set.
  17. Justice League hero Family members/ prime earth versions of the main justice League that we are yet to get: Superman: Jon Kent, Power girl (probably never going to be made for obvious reasons) and Steel. Batman: Spoiler, Signal, Bluebird, Batwing, Red Robin, Robin (Carrie Kelly), Jace Fox and Cassandra Cain. Wonder Woman: Hippolyta, Artemis and literally all the Wonder-Girls (+ their respective later mantles) Green Lantern (earth-born only): Guy Gardner (probably the biggest crime as he’s had a leading roll in the Bizarro Lego Justice League film), Kyle Rayner, Jo Mullein, Alan Scott and Teen Lantern. Flash: All Kid-Flashes and Impulse. Aquaman: Lagoon boy, all Aqua-lads and Aqua-girls. Cyborg: Doesn’t have a family 😢 Green Arrow: Literally everyone in the arrow family except for Green Arrow, Speedy and Black Canary. Did I miss anyone?
  18. I am jealous. You obviously haven’t witnessed the true extent damage that has been inflicted on the LSW community by Mandr and his lackeys. There were people on Reddit who fully knew about R2 KT’s origin when her news dropped and still said it was a bad choice and they’d have preferred to get Arc Trooper Echo or a Clone Commander who has only 5 seconds of screen time. LifeBricks did a video a few months ago (before he went dark) that focused solely on clones coming this year and saying it was unfortunate that there were not enough this year. 75% of all Lego You-Tube is dedicated to Clone Army building. The comments section of each Mandr video has essentially half the comments essentially saying “AskMandr: Why doesn’t Lego make Lieutenant Ball-Scratcher of the 69th legion? Is it because Lego hates their fans?” (that is a joke but they are asking for some unreasonably obscure clones) 90% of posts on r/LegoStarWars are just flaunting off people’s clone armies, complaints about helmet holes and Why doesn’t Lego make clone trooper xyz? However it isn’t as bad as YouTube as there’s r/LegoCircleJerk to mock them which always gives me a chuckle. Republic Studs (his content used to be good but he got worse when he started following the Mr Beast format), Lego Empire, True Squadron (at least he does original Mocs) and LifeBricks are all clickbait versions of Mandr. They put clones on the thumbnails of every video even if there isn’t a clone set. And don’t get me started on Jedi Bricks actively spreading fake rumours and being vague until he says he was right all along. Lego Star Wars YouTube is a joke. SolidBrix is a beacon of hope but he doesn’t upload enough to nullify the others. BrickYoda 5555 was a underrated YouTuber but he’s pretty much retired at this point. These people are actually on the verge of ruining the Clone Wars for me with their whining. I love clones but the people who act like it’s the only thing worth Lego sets are who make me insane. This forum is 100x better than YouTube because there is a friendly and fair community who have the right idea about the balance of sets for each trilogy. I love clones but Mandr’s followers are just the Lego equivalent of the Joker’s Goons. It’s literally almost a pro-clone anti-helmet-hole cult. My apologies for the rant. On a more positive note, I’m hyped for tomorrow evening’s reveals. Who else?
  19. Actually the website says, as @starwarslotrluvva stated, the live stream is on the 1st. I reckon just the anniversary sets are most likely from the August wave as then Lego will be able to reveal a good amount of others in July/ late June. That I disagree on as previously stated. Lego doesn’t usually like revealing the August wave in one go. If they just revealed the Anniversary sets in the livestream, they’ll still have 4 sets that they will be able to reveal on July 1st. (Buildable C3P0 , Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, X-Wing vs Tie and Dark Falcon) The excitement possibility is that there’s a strong chance we finally find out whatever the hell the Young Leia set is. I pray for a geonosis arena with a couple of clones. (Not because I want it to be but so the “clone fans” can cease their whining about there not being any sets for them.)
  20. What are we actually expecting to be revealed on Wednesday evening? I think that the June wave are definitely going to be revealed. But are we going to get some august anniversary set reveals? Especially seeing as they revealed all the remaining figures, since R2 KT doesn’t count anymore, in the video.
  21. Damn it! I’m getting hungry for some Jokeroni. Or maybe a Batman Calzoni from Little Ceaser’s. All hail Luigi. And his head chef. Turtle. Long live Luigi’s pizzaria.
  22. If they did another one I’d like them to follow the format they did in the first one. 3 heroes with their original costumes (Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash.), 3 villains with classic costumes (Sinestro, Dr Joker and original Cheetah.), 2 90s hero suits (Huntress and Mr Miracle) and 4 modern day hero costumes (New 52 Superman, GL Simon Baz, Stargirl and Metamorpho. Here’s what i could see if they did another: Original 1930s-50s designs: Superman, GL Alan Scott, Dr Fate. Classic Villains: classic Cat-woman, classic Lex Luthor and Metallo. 90s Heroes: GL Kyle Rayner and Big Barda (to complement Mr Miracle) Modern Heroes: Wally West (Rebirth), Batman (Flashpoint), Wonder-Girl (Yara Flor) and Batgirl (Casandra Cain) Some of these are what I feel Lego would do. Not what I would like. Anyone feel this is a likely selection if they did another?
  23. Let him cook. Then we’re going to have to go through a five year storyline that’s just going to get de-canonised anyway. @Renny The Spaceman Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life. Batman must stay out of his swamp.
  24. Oh. That’s a good point. That would be a great play-feature for kids. So is the X-Wing vs Tie going to be a army/ fleet builder with generic characters? And Renown’s tease really was just referring to Tarkin? Damn, I feel silly after all that speculation and research into it being new-republic based. It’s still probably not a movie-based set, due to the lack of anniversary figure, though. I mean… the Death Trooper, Scout Trooper with Speeder and Commander Cody were pretty good. But damn that AT RT would have absolutely slapped and blown all of them out of the water.
