LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I just researched R2 K2. I take it back, this is an amazing figure to have. The story behind her creation is really heart-warming. So you know what, this is a better choice than young Leia. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

Some imperial military hardware because frankly the empire has been neglected in ground forces compared to the clones. Stormtrooper battlepack (£18.99) 2 stormtroopers, stormtrooper commander (with a new plastic pauldron similar to doctor strange’s cape) and a shock trooper. (with backpack) Build would be an imperial checkpoint. ITT (£59.99): 2 stormtroopers, 1 stormtrooper commander, 2 Tank Drivers and an imperial Lieutenant. Imperial security gunship (£49.99): imperial scout trooper (from Jedi: fallen order), scout trooper commander, imperial shock trooper and a ISB Lieutenant. Modular imperial bunker (£149.99) can connect with modular series. Figures: 2x imperial technician, imperial captain, imperial army officer (green uniform), 2x scout troopers and 2x stormtroopers. Victory class Star Destroyer (£149.99): This would be a homage to the empire of Legends. Figures: Captain Pallaeon, Admiral Daala, Rukh and 2x Vader’s Fist troopers. Long Live The Empire! Please let me know what you guys think. And whether you agree that the empire has been neglected when it comes to army building. -

Wait, what? Why are there so may rebels and stormtroopers in a celebration set? -

I hope R2 K2 doesn’t count as one of the main Anniversary figures just rather one in the anniversary set. We still need potential for Mara Jade. -
Is it though? Let’s have a look, a steady decline in the number of sets we get. Most of those being overpriced. There is no creativity with the playsets anymore it’s just Batmobile after Batmobile. Whilst marvel has more heroes getting their own sets, here we are with purely Batman Harley Quinn and Joker sets not a single Robin in 3 years for some figure diversity. Despite 6 DC movie’s releasing in the last two years. From my viewpoint, DC is Lego’s least favourite franchise child when you compare it with Marvel.

Here’s what I’m thinking: Phase 1 clone battle pack: ARF trooper, 2 clone troopers, 501st Lieutenant. Includes minifigure scale AT RT, droideka build and Red macro binoculars. Ryloth AT TE: Armoured Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Phase 1 commander Cody, Commander Pons, Waxer, Boil and Razer. Has a AT RT deployment play feature. Droid Artillery: Luminara Unduli, P1 Commander Gree, Desert ARF Trooper, Updated Tactical droid and a bunch of droids. UCS Twilight: Armoured Anakin, new seasons 1-3 Ahsoka, P1 Captain Rex, Denal, Echo, Fives and Cad Bane. (Updated Rotta the Hutt would be included.) -
I would say yes. But seeing that it’s already getting an X-mansion as a D2C, I doubt it. There’s also a major difference: X-men 97 is aged the same as most other marvel products. Batman: Caped Crusader is A: not out yet and B: going to be for a more mature audience apparently. As much as I would like Deadpool and Invincible sets, they like Batman: Caped Crusader are mature and therefore aren’t getting sets. Before you counter this with “But The Batman got sets.” Yes it did but movie tie-ins for house-hold heroes like Batman are going to be made no matter the age rating. An animated TV show doesn’t warrant as much representation in toys as a movie.

Yeah. And then on may 1st we’ll probably get a reveal for the June Wave. And hopefully next week, like last year, we’ll get an update on the August Wave. -

So we expecting any big reveals on May 4th? I know we don’t most years but the big countdown timer on Lego.com makes me wonder. 🧐 -

Even if it was a 501st ARF trooper? That’s probably the next most prominent variant they could do. -
The entire super-hero movie genre has been in a steady decline since 2019 ended. Even Marvel, to me at least, seems to be getting less and less sets year by year. In 5 years if the MCU keeps churning out flop after flop, the Lego Marvel fans may just end up like us. With only a maximum of 5 Spider-Man sets per year.

Barc Speeder looks great. But a little overpriced so it’s a pass for me. We may get some more details on the August Wave in a couple of weeks so that’s something to look forward to. Lego has a big count down timer for May on their 25th Lego Star Wars anniversary page. Do you guys think they will reveal the rest of the anniversary figures on May 4th? 🧐 -

June. I might get it. But I’m going to prioritise Fives because he’s probably never gonna show up in another set again after the Tantive hallway retires. Whilst with Rex, Lego’s probably going to make some more sets with him in the future. He’s got to get the luck he needs for running a partisan rebellion somehow. But jokes aside he is a little too green. But otherwise it looks like a good figure. Especially since it looks like Lego remembered to include a metal toe print. (And no he didn’t need an amputee leg because he’s always wearing trousers over his robot leg) -

I’m interested in whether the infiltrator has an interior. Hopefully there’s a cockpit and a small vehicle bay with his speeder. -
DC wishlist: Green VS Red lantern Battlepack (£18.99) Kyle Rayner, Jo Mullein, Bd’g, Bleez, Rankorr and Dextarr. The builds would be an assortment of weapon constructs and energy blasts for all the characters. Titans minifigure pack (£12.99): Nightwing (arm printing), Donna Troy and Wally west (red and silver suit). Justice League International Minifigure pack (£12.99) Booster Gold, Captain Atom and Ice. Justice Society of America (JSA) Minifigure pack (£12.99): Power Girl, Green Lantern (Alan Scott) and Dr Fate. Bat-wing mech (based off Justice League vs Godzilla) £79.99: Redhood, Damian Wayne (grey Robin suit), Wonder Woman, John Stewart (arm printing and leg dual moulding) and Armoured Lex Luther. The batwing would be able to transform into a gun mech like in the Comic. Figures that I’d like to see be chucked in random sets like with Spider-man: Injustice Superman (yellow lantern), Parallax Hal Jordan, Batman Beyond, Flashpoint Batman, Cassandra Cain Batgirl, Spoiler, New 52 Superboy and Zatanna.

I have that same worry. I want Lego to make a Star Destroyer Bridge diorama because, for me at least, it would absolutely slap as both a play-set for kids and an excellent way to display imperial officer figures. The big droideka is a 10/10, the small one is a 5/10 and the Podracing diorama is very well done however I’m just not that interested in it. -

Yes because they have the redeeming quality of having excellent world building and the Clone Wars. The sequels do not.
