General Discussion and Announcements
Dragonator replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
There is indeed a Mafia School game coming up in the near future, stay tuned for an announcement. -
Yeah that was unfortunate CallMePie, we had a great plan there.

We did try def! I think quite often we tried with the wrong people in private though. As for doing so in the main thread, it was hard if you didn't have some supporting townies that you could rely on. It's easy to claim scum, but you're more likely to be killed for it than to actually manage to bring down some scum with you, especially when a lot of townies didn't really grasp this idea and were quit happy to go with the lynch all liars concept. I think a lot of people didn't really know how they could exploit it successfully, which made them cautious. Perhaps the way to spot the scum would be to look for who wasn't trying to appear scummy.
-
Indeed, Pandy, Scouty and I were all 'confirmed' as town somewhat after you died, although that may not have been helpful since we needed to pretend to be scum in order to catch scum! Shadows was also checked by Pandy and found town, so I didn't really have any reason to go after him after that unless he did something notably scummy. He did his usual thing in PM, I was suspicious but not enough to justify a lynch, I would have needed some proof. We don't really talk about Mafia other than to shout accusations at each other you know. I was the tracker, so I worked with Scouty and caught Alopex in the act. I did find it slightly odd that Nightshroud added me on steam, not sure what he wanted but he didn't say much to me...

Well that was interesting. I'm glad we were beginning to pull together at the end there, killing off several scum and finding several more leads, but against the power of that daily conversion we'd pretty much already lost after getting the numbers so close sadly. The scum had a good idea of who the power roles were and I'd already raised the idea that they probably couldn't be converted. If we don't have another game with a conversion role in it for quite some time I will be very happy, it has been so over used recently on EB. Still, really enjoyable game def, I had fun trying to find all the scummy scum in a sneaky and different way. If we'd had another day I would have been right on iamded for the scummy little chat we had before, that was pretty hilarious. I could ask the same, you didn't do much to help yourself! Suspecting Scouty, then me, then Pandy, then Shadows, we didn't really have much confidence in you... but no matter, I think it was a great learning experience for everyone, as we were forced to think in such a different way to get through it! Very fun. If we hadn't had that explosion on day 2 I wish we had gone after iamded's terrible vote for me on day one! Nobody commented on that at all after I kept raising it.

Yeah no. This one is a pretty easy vote I feel. Vote: Alopex -

Lies, JimB is finally expressing his pent up deep desires for me, it's about time! I think the tracker result that Scouty mentioned somewhat confirms Alopex as the killer. The tracker will have seen the first person to target Pandora, and the killer is right up there at the top of the night action order. -

Fantastic progress, that is a much better result that we can be very happy with. Amy the vig has to be the chainsaw dude, he killed badboy last night. I do believe this lead on Alopex will be very promising indeed, I look forward to his explanation. -
Euroricks Mafia day three: An end to Ricks

Erm, if you think he is mostly likely to be scum you should probably vote for him... not just follow the bandwagon against people you don't feel are scum... -

Well I've hada good read and it isn't helping much... so I think I'm going to need to make a tough choice here and go with my gut on the current candidates. I pray that our vig takes a good look at who has been accused today and chooses his target accordingly. Vote: Zepher -

I agree that probably a large portion of our scum are likely hiding in the lurkers. They're letting the townies fight each other and not saying much themselves. Big Cam's opening statement today made me pull a face, and I haven't much liked anything else he has said in response to people mentioning how odd that was. I have also noted he hasn't had much, if anything, to say over the past few days. Pandora would it be possible to see some of Hinck's dialogue with you at the end of yesterday? Any thoughts on mayor? Maybe one of the lurkers to force them to take part in discussion? -

Dragonator replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's been an interesting day, as I mentioned before. As the day has gradually progressed I've actually been leaning more and more towards Hinck being town. I know, shock horror! He was acting pretty scummy in my eyes, and it has take na while for me to gradually reach this conclusion, just through observation and some brief private sparring with him. I think it is likely too late to save him, but I have the feeling that we've been somewhat misguided into voting for him just because he wanted to out Scouty... Pandora on the other hand, isn't adding up in my eyes. She seems to be doing everything she can to appear how she usually does. The aggression towards Shadows earlier on... it just seemed a little forced. With everything else going on though, it seemed to slip under the rug, as have many other things. What she has said privately to Hinck and Scouty also rings some alarm bells for me, particularly her certainty that the watcher is scum. I don't see any reason why that could be an absolute certainty from what I have read. I think you're right Rick, if Hinck shows up town we don't really learn anything. If he showed up scum that would be a different matter, as it would definitely confirm a few things. But I'm seriously doubting he actually will turn up scum at this point. I urge anyone that is around to vote for Pandora and give our waltzing singer another chance at the stage. I sure hope I don't regret trying to save his megablocks... but I think it;s the right thing to do at this point. Unvote: Hinckley. Vote: Pandora. -

It has certainly been an interesting day, and I feel we have made progress. Now that we've clarified Scouty I'm pretty confident he's telling the truth, even if the truth is pretty bizarre. I do find it somewhat interesting how easily people have jumped on Hinck after this though. Not without good reason it seems, but the badwagon does seem to have formed very quickly. I don't think his song and dance helped much, but I think he may have just jumped the gun somewhat on Scouty. Or perhaps it was a ploy to try and distract us from what we were discussing earlier? Who knows. At this stage the lynch is pretty much confirmed anyway, and I do think we'll learn something from his death. My concern at this stage is that a lot of the discussion around other people has been lost in the mix today. Not sure if that was done intentionally, but it has happened. We have a lot of lurkers, and I think we'll likely find some of our scum amoung those lurkers that have just followed along hesitantly. I guess we'll at least have lots to analyse come tomorrow. Since I need to vote I'll throw mine on the pile: Vote: Hinckley. -

Oh great, a day kill. Odd that we found out the affiliation of Cece on the day that she was killed (morning of day one), but not the affiliation of Danny. Is that inconsistent or am I missing something? The different time of day is certainly odd... although it could be done as soon as the killer makes his choice... Hmm. -

Possible, but I can't really see him killing off DD when people knew he had been talking to her privately, and then claiming that she was the psychiatrist.Or perhaps he brought that up as cover... who knows, I'm not convinced of that theory though. -

That's a damn good point TPRU. Maybe that has something to do with it... although I still don't really understand. Weak doctor? What does that even mean, like protecting from one particular killer or something? I have to laugh at the watcher that talked to you Scouty, he is assuming that he can even be converted. Would be awkward for him when he finds out he can't be. If you're town, don't try to get yourselves converted guys, seriously. -

Ahem. Could you clarify your role please Scouty? It isn't making sense to some of us. -

Oh! On another note, I'm disappointed to see the Pharaoh gone, he seemed like a fun type. If only he didn't want to run games while I was sleeping having lunch. Is Def even feeding us? I thought I heard an oink earlier, that might have been Hinck though. *munches on a potato* -

MOs aren't always the same each night you know. You really shouldn't look for clues in pictures, just saying. I do agree at least that a day killer seems a little silly to add into the mix at this late stage. But I also wonder why Scouty would claim that if it could be so easily dis-proven? Scouty are you certain your role saves people from day kills? Perhaps you should ask for a clarification, it's what people generally do when they don't understand their role... I'd rather discuss this in full and get Scouty to clarify his claim before rushing off to join a bandwagon thank you. At the moment I still find Hinck's response to Scouty's behaviour equally suspicious, he was not thinking as a strategic townie when he came running to out him, that's for sure. As someone who always wants to be Jesus, I would have expected a little more caution from him. -

You rule it out as impossible very quickly. Townies generally aren't very certain of the set-up at all, or do you know something the rest of us don't? -

Dragonator replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I also think that Hinck's reaction to Scouty is very... odd. If Scouty were truly scum, I would think he would be a lot more cautious than that! Particularly the fact that he spoke to both Shadows and Hinck makes it seem odd since he just needs to find one person that he is 100% sure is scum. There really isn't any reason for the scum to start trying to team up this early unless one of them is in danger of being voted out and they need to signal that to their scum buddies. As Scouty noted, part of the point of this game is for the town to appear somewhat scummy so that the actual scum can never 100% certain of doing that. Hinck knows this, so I actually find his attempt to get Scouty lynched so quickly a lot more scummy than Scouty himself. Scared scum will jump at the first opportunity after all. Interesting to see you following Hinck's vote so quickly, Tammo, trying to form a bandwagon before people have a chance to think about what has been said? -

Hmmm, she said the psycho could be cured? I must have missed that in my skim reading drowsiness. In which case, why does Darth Potato think there is a third killer? We can't have 2 vigs, that would be silly. Or am I reading your songs wrong now? Trouble with a capital T! I didn't realise she could delete the timestamps on your posts, but ok. -

Since I don't want to seem too narrow-focused, I have to agree that your reasoning in voting yesterday was pretty dumb, Dave. It wasn't even an "oh I think this guy is suspicious", it was an "oh I'm going to vote for someone nobody has voted for, for no reason, so that nobody can blame me for anything later". Hmm, Hinck I do believe that could mean Trouble with a capital T. ...dammit if you make me start dancing I'm going to break one of your legs. -

Well thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'd be more interested to know what hers were though. Did she mention any suspicions regarding the psycho? I'm not convinced she is the psychiatrist, that seems a little too convenient. She seemed positive that the psycho was going to kill her last night though, I want to know what made her so positive of that. Did she tell you at all? Your quotes are somewhat lacking in timestamps I notice.
