Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion
Dragonator replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm not sure I approve of all the dragon cruelty in this game... -
Eurobricks' very own forum-based roleplaying experience, Heroica RPG, has reached its fourth anniversary. The game is always open for new players, but now is a most opportune time to join as the main storyline will be rolling towards its climax. During the past four years, the city of Eubric Freeport has been in turmoil as seven powerful factions struggled to gain the upper hand. In the midst of it all, Heroica, a fabled organisation of would be heroes and heroines, has risen to new-found glory as its members have eliminated fearsome monsters, reconciled wars, uncovered conspiracies and saved the whole world at least half a dozen times. But while Heroica has been busy saving the day, the founder of the notorious Wolfgang, Ulric Wolfkin, has gained the support of the common folk to become the first King of Eubric. The other six houses scramble to make alliances of their own, dividing the city and its residents further. Like the rest of Eubric, heroes and heroines of Heroica have to choose their side in determining the future of the city. What side will you choose? Join the game now and you will also get a chance to win in-game items for free at the traditional Anniversary Lottery open to all players, old and new. Just read the rules, create your own hero, and jump in to the adventure!

Good day valiant Heroes and Heroines! As part of the anniversary celebrations, you get your once-yearly visit from your tyrannical dragon overlord, me. Sandy has kindly informed me that the following individuals are worthy of being included in this year's List of Honours! Asphalt Khorne KingoftheZempk Lind Whisperer Purpearljellyblob Congratulations! Wear your new badges with pride. I see Khorne has jumped me and noticed within 10 seconds of receiving the badge, obviously far too active for your own good there! Keep those swords sharp! Seriously, I have a rodent problem I understand you lot would be very skilled at dealing with... ~Lord Dragonator

Pelly's Paradise: Conclusion: An End to Effort
Dragonator replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well that was short lived for me but fun to follow! Even though you killed me DD (no more visiting my cave now, bad dragon!), I think it would have been fun for the game to continue and for the SK to have a chance to kill everyone! -
Well this has all been very interesting. My ninja senses are tingling a bit, but they always seem to do that these days, I think it might be something in this hat. My thoughts on the vig: by it being out in the open, there is a problem in deciding collectively who the vig should target as if the target is scum, they will block it. Of course, that could lead to us assuming the position of "if the vig is blocked we lynch the vig's target". My concern however is that if the scum have that information, it could be manipulated in some way. It also means if they know the vig is targeting a townie, they won't try to kill that townie, basically giving an extra kill in the scum's favour each night. By the time the vig targets someone on the scum team, we may be so low on numbers that they can afford to block it and then talk it off. My preferrence would have been to keep the vig role secret I think, until we actually needed to know it. That could have tricked the scum into using it for their own means, then later we may have caught one of them out. Lost opportunity there. My concer now is that the role could easily be passed around amoung the scum and used by them with the classic "opps I killed another townie, oh well" line. Scum will also have input into any sort of secondary vote that is run, meaning they have a chance to manipulate the vig into killing a townie each night, or manipulate the town into choosing the target they want. Basically I just see lots of problems that can arise from us knowing who the vig is! But it is done, so we'll work with it. My thoughts are just that we pay close attention to it. Who what and a who? No idea what this means, my ninja senses are failing me.

CCCXII - The Forestmen's Cunning Heist
Dragonator replied to Dubbadgrim's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm a huge fan of the details in the cut-away, particularly under the road and in the wall, that is neat! On the whole a very cool entry, nice use of building techniques and composition. Also nice to see the classic minifigs in use! I'm really feeling sorry for the poor guy losing all his coins down a crack, hate it when they're just out of reach! -
You brick-built dragons are amazing! Really love how you structured this as if it were a release, it's a neat way to do a serioes of MOCs. Lots of lovely and unique ideas in here but all stuff I could easily see being in a series of sets. Great work!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Third Anniversary of Heroica RPG
Dragonator replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Congratulations to the following people who have recently been awarded the Heroica Contributor Tag for their stellar contributions over the past year (or longer!): - emjajoas - Flare - joeshmoe554 - Kintobor - Pyrovisionary - The Legonater Well done to you all, and I hope that you honour this award by continuing to make exceptional contributions to the Heroica RPG! Naturally dragons are notorious for acting in their own time as the months pass quickly for a creature with a lifetime spanning many centuries, so within the month is still quite timely! -
The Heroica RPG has run for three full years this August. The game now boasts over one hundred active players who have participated in over one hundred quests. Whether you want to be a brave adventure or be the master of your own quest, Heroica RPG has a place for you! So come in and join the celebration! There's no better time to create a new hero than now, as the annual Anniversary Lottery is in progress with incredible in-game prizes. New and old players may also like to consult the Heroica RPG Wiki which has recently been launched to store information about the game in an easily navigatable form.

New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Dragonator replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Finally making some progress clearing my room of old builds and unsorted stuff, but I still find myself with far far too many boxes than I have room for sadly, might have to think about parting with some of my Star Wars sets! Can't say I'm overly attached to a lot of the smaller sets anymore, my interests remain as they always have in castles and trains/city. I might tentatively put a few things on TradeMe soon, or possibly just part things out into my storage, not entirely sure. Selling Lego just seems like such a sin to me! I just netted the Hobbit sets over Christmas, nothing much else of interest to me about.
