  1. Goodness, that's just awesome. Thanks for the news Badger, that is one neat weapon, and I am loving the metallic look to it, very cool. I look forward to it being available so we can get a good look at it.
  2. Why do I get this strong feeling that that is the sort of password that leads to the doors being barred and the ceiling slowly dropping on us?
  3. I thought I should just drop by and mention that I have given Computerbug the go ahead to start this game whenever he is ready. I'm glad to see that this game has received a lot of interest, it bods well for future RPG games that are currently in the works. Have fun everyone, and make sure you make this an enjoyable game not just for yourselves but for your fellow players and your host as well. I look forward to seeing how this game progresses.
  4. How the hell did you get my sword!? I don't mind or anything, it's just that I would like it close by when the demons arrive to carry off my father-in-law to the world beyond. Diesel carefully ignores this rather odd occurrence and stands in front of his wife and her parents protectively, holding up his sword so that it glints in the dim light. Anyway, I'm so glad we're making progress with all these puzzles, this place is such fun. Yet I'm still a bit freaked out by the apparition, and to a lesser extent the way that beast of a statue is looking at me. Siegourney, I don't suppose you could go have a word with your father perhaps, and take a look at where he is pointing? He is freakin' me out. Now that we have another statue, why don't we try moving the arms around a bit? I would like to move all the arms into the downward position, let us see where that gets us perhaps. Stay close DJ, I want you where I can see you in here. Tell your parents to come along too, if they like.
  5. It was my pleasure, I was thrilled to see what you could build with my parts. This is a great MOC, and you can be proud of the quality of it. You've used lots of neat techniques and provided a great back story which explains all the significance of this build. One of my favourite parts has to be conveyor belt, although the cranes are pretty nifty too. Some lovely characters and a very original concept, you've done me proud. Now I look forward to seeing what other things you will build to follow this!
  6. How very odd. The other statues have eyehooks in their hands, I wonder what this one is meant for? To hold something? I would like to pull on it and see if that opens any secret compartments or something. If it does, I'll carefully search that compartment and remove anything I find inside. If it doesn't, then I'll go stand by my wife and strike a heroic pose with my sword. If it causes that beast to come alive and start killing everyone, I suppose I'll try my best to stop it. Anyway... It looks like there is a small pile of rubble behind the statue, too bad that party-killer tour guide won't let us go over there. Ah well.
  7. Hmmm, how very interesting. Perhaps this is a one way door from some sort of secret tunnel on the other side? Ah well, it would appear that I won't find out right now, since wiggling this doesn't seem to open it. I would like to press it inwards anyway, just in case there is a clasp or something that can be opened by doing this. Those floor stones that are depressed are interesting, good spotting Ingrid. There is one right here next to the altar. I wonder what would happen if I pushed down on it. I'll try that, but carefully, I don't want to fall down anything. There appears to be a statue missing from left of the doorway on the right. I would like to inspect the stone plinth that it would have been resting on to see if there is anything strange there. This is such fun, I'm glad my wife talked me into coming on this tour. Speaking of my wife, where is she? Honey, where are you? Yeah yeah, whatever, I'll stick with you once I've looked around a bit. This place is awesome! I have wondered about your strange obsessions with place, you didn't come on that last tour did you?
  8. That's all right, I look forward to reading it when I get back. I have enjoyed it so far, lots of neat little things to look at and to do. Lots of suspense building too, it's great!
  9. My, what a lovely place. Very atmospheric. And sort of... disturbing. I wonder where Hector is, that seems suspicious... I would like to inspect what we can see of the altar in the middle of the room. Are there any inscriptions, or spots that look like they could be hidden compartments? I notice the bottom of the top right pillar, the one under construction, is missing a large chunk from the bottom. After inspecting the altar, I would like to look at this area to see if I can spot anything unusual, without going right up to it and touching it. Better to be cautious like Johnson warns.
  10. I'm glad the chapter is finally up, although all this postponing means I am going to miss a fair bit of it now. Ah well, that can't be helped. The set looks lovely Hinck, I'm glad we waited to see it, very well presented. Just so that you all know, I shall be absent from the site from tomorrow (Wednesday) until next Monday.
  11. Thank you for coming forward with a new game proposal Computerbug, I'm sure you have put a lot of time and effort into working on this. However, it is preferred that when you are looking to host a game you get it approved by me privately before posting it on the boards here so we can make sure it is as developed and ready to go as possible, as well as being able to be scheduled properly. Since you have gone ahead and posted this already, I shall have to let it slide, however there are several things that I would like to see before this gets off the ground. Firstly, you need some clear rules for this game. How is it going to work? What do you require of the players? What are the game mechanics? How will it be moderated? Is there an overarching plot to be followed? These sort of simple rules and questions need to be sorted out now before sign up really begins. Now that you have posted this thread, it would be worth finding out how many people are actually interested in playing, and whether it will be worth running based on that. Remember that as a host you have a responsibility to your players to provide a high quality and enjoyable game that keeps moving and doesn't just die, so you should also assess your own time commitments and whether you will be able to host this game to a high standard. Please think about these points and act on them. In future I would appreciate it if you (and anybody else looking to host a game) would approach me privately with your ideas before posting them on the boards.

Name: Prohibition Mafia Hosts: Darth_Legois and Bob the Construction Man Dates: December 2009 - January 2010 Survivors: Shadows, Big Cam, Simonjedi, TinyPiesRUs, Dragonator, WhiteFang (Scum); Dannylonglegs (Neutral) Game Information It is the late 1920's, and it is the start of the Great Depression. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, which has not yet been formed, is called the Bureau of Investigation. Still in effect is the Prohibition Laws, which the BOI is desperately attempting to enforce. 13. Not even remotely related actually, sorry. Don't you be listening to this impatient bunch Hinck, you take as much time as you need. Dragonator goes to fetch his "Whip of Fast Host Motivation" just in case...
  14. Great game everyone, sorry I'm a bit late to the party. This has to be one of the fastest games we've had, and certainly a record for the scum. I'm glad I was converted there. I am going to read through the rest of this thread before making any further comments, but I would just like to take this moment to congratulate Bob the Construction Man on the award of a Mafia Appreciation tag, very well deserved in my opinion. Wear it proudly, and keep up your great contributions.
  15. Carved from bone aye? Interesting. And it represents a demon of hell? Even more interesting... Diesel looks around suspiciously. Ah well, I'm sure our tour guide has done this tour numerous times before and has never encountered anything strange or odd. I don't suppose you can tell us about what happened to those family members who went missing on a previous tour, Johnson? I would like to forcefully push at the walls, and look for any stones that stick out in particular, and push/pull them if I see them. If not then I'll leave it. I was thinking maybe there are some hidden stairs behind them or something. Seems possible. Good idea! I would like to inspect the sword again to see if there are any likely spots the gem will fit into. I have the feeling it goes somewhere else however...
  16. What sort of a tour guide are you!? Talk about quality information... This is a very interesting room indeed, I'm sure that these torches can be sequenced to unlock something, either in here or in another room. I would like to inspect the statue closely and look for anything unusual, it is a very fascinating object. And I will not be attacking it with my sword thank you Sheldon. I wonder if those crumbly walls have been blocked up at some time and have rooms behind them? Might be worth investigating...
  17. I'm glad to see this game is kicking off so well and people are enjoying themselves. As it has been mentioned by a few of you, I think I should just make it clear that at the current time there will be no tags awarded for an individual game. Don't worry about that, and just enjoy playing the game instead. I would just like to remind everyone to make sure they remain respectful and civil to other players, and this game will go greatly. It is good to see so much interest in so short a time, so keep the posting at a good level and I am sure this will be a game to be remembered and enjoyed for quite some time.
  18. This is correct, currently the list is closed until a few more games have run by. Thanks for your interest anyway simonjedi, I suggest you develope your idea in preparation to present it for hosting consideration when the list opens again. The next Mafia game is scheduled to begin in early February, and that is Imperial Soldiers' Mafia hosted by ImperialScouts.
  19. Oh yes, most certainly Sylvia. You show me a slot and I'll stick my sword in it for you. It sounds plausible, but I think we should also consider other arrangements. I'll think on this in a moment, any other ideas people? I would like to take a look at the wall where we had put the tablets to see if there is a slot or any opening the sword would fit in, I think. Oh awesome, you found something like me! That could be useful to us later o, maybe we'll find a hidden treasure nobody has viewed in centuries! I've always liked shiny stuff, goes well in my junk art.
  20. Just as a general note, I will be leaving very shortly on a short trip which I will get back from on Sunday, so just over 2 days. Thus unless the day moves very quickly I shall be back for voting etc, just thought I should let you all know.
  21. Oh this is terrible! Not only have we made a horrible mistake yesterday and killed the only person who was actively helping look for the mobsters, but now we have lost our mayor and poor Andrew has lost his dear father! We must convict a mobster today, it may be our last chance to do so. We must think very carefully and not rush our voting, as this could be the turning point for our town going off what that dastardly killer said to the mayor. This is all so overwhelming, I am going to go have a lie down for the morning to try and settle my jumpy nerves. I'll need to be in a concentrated frame of mind come the voting.
  22. Vague warnings? She must have met the demons then, nasty stuff I hear. Lucky I we found this awesome sword. All this swinging and excitement has tired out my legs, I think I'll sit down on this rock here for a little rest while we wait for the start of the tour. I don't have a clue about that parchment, I'll let some intellectual thinker deal with that thing.
  23. Well if you can find a likely slot for me to slid my sword into then I'm all keen, but I don't want to get it stuck, that could turn nasty. We might need it later to kill off the invading hoards of demons.
  24. You're grandma come her often, luv? Sword in the stone aye? I must have been destined to draw it. DJ will be so proud. So, what other funny things have we found while waiting for this tour to start? A weird message, some tracks, how very mysterious. This better not be some silly set-up as part of the tour...
  25. While it can be frustrating when you can't get information from stores, try to avoid venting that anger in here with inappropriate language in future please. As to those two sets, I believe the ToyWorld retail price for the Taj is $660NZD, and for the Carousel $400NZD (although prices can vary between stores).
