I would like to formally withdraw the closure notice I issued earlier, as the issue has now been resolved and the first day thread is up and running. Let us now put that behind us and get on with playing this game and having some fun! Scouts, I must say that the opening post is very well presented and structured, good job all round. If you think you are going to have trouble sticking to the schedule by doing media clips, then my best advice is to not do them. It was very fun, and an awesome addition to the game, but should not come at the expense of punctuality. Good luck with the hosting, and I look forward to playing in the game.

Staff Warning Mafia games are all about players having fun, and there is nothing more infuriating than waiting for a slow host who doesn't deliver or even communicate why he has been delayed. Here on EB we are happy to allow normal members to host games, provided they are going to run them efficiently and up to standard. The delay in the start of this game is unacceptable, as it not only detracts from the built up excitement of the players and disappoints them, but it also messes up my very carefully planned game schedule, and nobody likes a pissed of dragon, I can tell you. On that note, I am locking down this game thread until the host can convince me that he is prepared to begin the game. It is great to be ambitious and want to include media clips in games like this, however this should not come at the expense of a well paced game that everyone can enjoy. Once the host has contacted me, I will consider reopening the game. I must apologise to all those players eagerly waiting to play for the delays, but this will be sorted out, never fear. However, we do have something better to do while you wait, since we love to have a bit of fun in here from time to time. I first went back to the Guard House we visited to make sure we hadn't missed anything and that what we had done in the main room hadn't triggered anything. By the lack of response from anyone I presume I found nothing. During my searching, William found me and convinced me to take DJ and Donna back to the bus for their protection, as he has been having these dreams about that statue in the main room accordingly. Before we were able to do this however we heard Sylvia screaming from the main Chamber, and so rushed there instead to try and help, at which point we met the rest of you. What I would like to know, actually, is whether Jack was cut in half, or if he was bitten in half. It would explain the absence of his legs if they were eaten or otherwise removed. If it is a clean cut straight across the middle, then that raises some questions, as that is a lot of bone and stuff to cut through for a human to manage. Not the sort of thing you could really achieve in one swing, realistically. If we go back, this would be worth finding out, it could help us discover a bit more about the nature of his murder. While that knife is not missing, remember that a knife went missing before we even got off the bus, when the weapons locker popped open. That weapon was never recovered, so someone here has a concealed weapon or something of that nature.

Daniel, I thank you for your interest in hosting a game, however there are a few issues here. You have not yet received permission to host, something that must be obtained from me via PM after we have discussed your game to ensure it meets the standards required here on EB as well as allocating a time slot. As you have noted, there is already a similar style of game to this running right now, so it would not be appropriate to have a second. I would suggest you develop your idea more by expanding the plot, come up with a list of rules and guidelines and consider what sort of a commitment you will need to make to host this game effectively. You'll find that 2 months is actually just over the average length for most Mafia games. Each "day" takes at the minimum 6 real days, and depending on how well balanced the game is and how the players play things out, Mafia games can easily last up to 2 months and even slightly more. Other Mafia games can be wrapped up in just over a month, it all depends on how the game plays out.

Welcome Mark! So you are the one behind those fabled Apocalypsis MOCs? I've always loved those creations, I look forward to seeing what things you have to show us in future on EB. Lovely ships as well, I think I'll go take a look at some of your other creations now (I don't really visit MOCpages that much I am sorry to admit).
