  1. I would like a word with you about that, actually, if you wouldn't mind stepping into the back room for a moment...
  2. Ah yes, looking forward to those. Hmmm, it would appear I missed the free shipping, how aggravating. Ah well.
  3. F...farewell my love. I... I will always love you, forever, my dearest. Somebody here is going to pay very, very dearly for this! Thank you for your wise guidance, oh mighty Dayus. But now, I must deal to the encroaching threat of evil tentacle from the Realms Below. Have at thee, vile serpents of death!
  4. This is normally about the stage the DM sneakily sets a dragon on the adventure party. Agreed. *Diesel raises his sword warily and looks around for the dragon.* It's here, just wait, you'll see...
  5. *Breathing hard*Phew... umm, that's a bit weird... Thanks Siegourney!
  6. Ahem. *Diesel takes the sword from Sylvia with a smile and a quick thank you, before carefully positioning himself to strike at the grey mass above the crab-demon. With a speedy thrust, Diesel stabs into the grey mass and rips it apart, doing as much damage as he can to it without hurting Chris. * May the might of silver send you back to whence you came, foul beast!
  7. What the hell was that for you psychotic...!!! Those could scar you know! ...Hmmm, are scars sexy? Perhaps we should do something about the turtle demon now it is exposed? Sylvia, if you wouldn't mind co-operating for once, pass me the sword so I can do my epic kill-thrust, or else do it yourself, before poor Chris is de-fleshed!
  8. You can wish all you like, now is time for action. Let the men do the hard work, hon, since I'm closer. MINE! *Diesel dives for the sword and in a sweeping roll grabs it and lunges for the crab-like demon ensnaring Chris.* How many times do I have to tell you vermin to go AWAY! Back to the abyss with you!
  9. Well would you look at that, seems I'm better at this exorcism business than I thought! Err, would someone please help me up?
  10. Err, right of course. Diesel strikes a noble and valiant pose. Foul demon of the Nine Hells, your time on this earth is at an end! Go back to the fiery pits from whence you spawned! You shall not pass! Diesel raises his sword, which glints theatrically in the low light, and aims a blow at the demons' neck, with the intention of striking its head off while Siegourney is stabbing at its eyes.
  11. Those are the lyrics I've always known, seems the colonies have a greater relationship with Her Majesty than those in the mother country these days. Yes, happy St. George's Day everyone. A time to be singing such great patriotic hymns as "Land of Hope and Glory" and "Jerusalem". The Anglican churches here all celebrated the event last Sunday, as we have ANZAC day coming up on the 25th (our national war remembrance day), so we had the Order of St. George in attendance, and the brass bands playing Pomp and Circumstance etc. Always a fun, patriotic event.
  12. On the contrary, it is a perfectly acceptable explanation. Just as acceptable as saying the aircraft's were both sabotaged. The fact is, we don't know what happened to cause them to both crash, and thus making up our own theories such as saying they were sabotaged or pulled down by mystical forces isn't going to help us at all; as we can see, it's simply confusing matters as now people are mixing up fact with opinion. I do not believe that there is necessarily an insane murder among the Coast Guard officers, nor any other groups for that matter. Rather, I believe we will find that the insane murders here are randomly spread throughout the entire body of people present. Going off your idea, I could say there must also be a certain number of insane people in the airline staff, or that one of the two old men must be insane, for example. These sorts of groupings are just wishful thinking in my opinion; you can't assess someone's sanity on the number of people present with a similar job, or crap like that. I'm of course not ruling out the possibility that one of my fellow officers is insane, as loath as I am to even think that, or that one or two of the airline staff are insane, or one of the old men is insane. Rather, I am saying that if one of them is insane, it isn't because there must be "one in each group". I mean, another counter argument to myself and my officers being insane is that we weren't even on the island when that group of people plotted and carried out the death of the poor nameless woman earlier. As you can see, there are arguments for grouping people and saying that one among them must be insane that go both ways; thus I should hope it is clear to you all that is is groundless, and not evidence at all. We can't rely on trying to find patterns to find these people; insanity does not spread in a pattern, it spreads randomly and infects weak-minded and vulnerable people. Those are the people we need to be trying to find, ladies and gentlemen, not wasting our time arguing over how many insane individuals must statistically be on the airline staff, for example.
  13. Are you seriously suggesting voting for me because I made a long speech? Seriously? You guys really are desperate to find something today if you're willing to suggest my introduction to you all as "evidence". For one thing, since when has speaking a lot and sanity ever had a linear correlation? I've seen lots of politicians who speak a lot but are clearly insane from the crap they spout, no offense meant to you of course governor. It is the content of the words, not the quantity, on which we should truly be assessing people's mental state of mind. Somehow, I don't think "that guy speaks too much, he must be insane" is quite going to cut it when we are talking about lives here, sir, particularly when it is the sort of off-handed rubbish evidence an insane murder could pull later on down the track to try and shift attention elsewhere. Something to be wary of in future, perhaps. I can assure you all I am most definitely sane in both mind and body; I can't help that I'm a bit overly verbose. I can't help the way I speak, some might say that I just like to explore my role in life a lot, and act it out in the most authentic and stylistic manner I can, a lesson perhaps some of you people who can't talk about anything except voting to kill people when we have nothing to go on could take. Besides, I take pride in my position as an Officer of the United States Coast Guard, and thought a proper introduction was in order. I thank you for your apology anyway, sir, no hard feelings meant.
  14. The major assumption here, of course, is that these crashes were an act of sabotage. We don't know that this is true, it is simply an assumption you are making to try and justify the means. I think false and misleading information is something we shall need to be very weary of while we go about our investigations this day, as that sort of thing can lead to heated conflict, which usually leads to a lowering in our chances of survival. I am putting this to you frankly, as I believe you are all intelligent people; without teamwork and rational and informed voting, it will not be long before our numbers are severely deflated. The aim is for as many of us sane people to come out of this situation alive, thus we must be very careful. I have put my life in the hands of my fellow officers many times before, and am doing so again right now, in a way. They have had years of experience dealing with survival situations, and I put my full trust in commitment to the United States Coast Guard Code. I could not wish for a better pair of people to be stranded on a desert island with during a rescue mission; they are true professionals, and I am honoured to have served with them these past years, and hopefully for many more years to come. I believe Richard has assessed the situation correctly here; we are no more likely to be insane than any of the rest of you. There is no guarantee that exactly one among us three is one of the insane murders we are looking for, nor is there any guarantee that this is not so; we have no way of knowing and voting simply off numerical odds and grouping is just plain silly in my estimation, and isn't likely to get us anywhere at all. We should be looking for some real evidence, not grasping at coincidences and supposed patterns in the number of people here. Any of us could be insane. The job we must set ourselves to is flushing them out into the open so we can deal with them in an appropriate manner.
  15. I guess we all know who we should be voting for then, right people? I jest with you of course, governor, this is a very serious matter and we want to make sure we have the right of things before proceeding. I for one am not overly keen to start dishing out the death sentences either, we don't really have anything to go on other than the murder and the words of the late unnamed woman. We'll need to try and identify her later so her family can be informed. Right now though, we have our own survival to think of. I thank you for your faith in me Officer Diaz, survival in the wild is founded on trust and being able to rely on others. While we must be cautious of the murder or murderers amongst us, it is through cooperation and team-work that we will come out of this situation alive. I have faith in all of you that we will manage this, together. Very true words, Officer Rockford; as I said earlier, we are unfortunately on our own until another rescue mission is launched. Have no fear though people, I am sure we will not have to wait long; the United States Coast Guard prides itself on its fast response times and ability to handle any situation. We are trained professionals in survival, so if we can all work together, then I'm sure we can manage until help arrives. Oh, why, umm, thank you Patr- err, Officer Rockford. While it is true I and my fellow officers have much experience in dealing with survival situations, let us not let ourselves be drawn into conflict over leadership of this group. I'm sure we are all familiar with Lord of the Flies, yes? It has many lessons to offer on the sorts of paranoia and mentality that arise from surviving emotionally traumatic and life-threatening situations. It would appear some among us are already suffering from some form of paranoia considering the tragic death of that poor woman earlier today. Nevertheless, survival is our most important goal right now, and I am happy to offer my training and experience, and that of my fellow officers, to make sure we all get through this unharmed. I'm no psychiatrist though, so I'm afraid I do not know how to deal with the "insane" people amongst us other than the method proposed. Again, I thank you for your support of me Ian. I will help as best I can in this predicament using the knowledge and experience I have gained through my training as an Officer of the United States Coast Guard. This situation is certainly an unusual one though; not only must we deal with our survival but we must be wary of the scheming murderers lurking hereabouts. I only hope they will not strike again, but we must be prepared for the worst, there is no knowing what the clinically unstable can do. If we are vigilante, though, then we will surely be able to overcome these challenges presented to us.
  16. Oooh, the excitement is killing me! Or killing Diesel perhaps, I guess we'll find out soon!
  17. Ah shit, as if we didn't have enough troubles. Donna! Get over here and make sure DJ is alright will you? Things could get nasty in here very fast. She seems stable at least, I'll have a word with you about your carelessness a bit later, Ingrid. Sheldon, what the hell are you doing!? Let me help you with that, for gods-sake man! Everyone, step away from the demon and keep looking for a way out. Maybe it isn't bent on killing us, it may just want to have a chat. I guess we'll find out soon enough... Make sure you all stay behind this wheel thing, don't get too close. Diesel unsheathes his handsome sword and prepares for the worst, while hoping for the best.
  18. Petty Officer Second Class Drake Johnson of the United States Coast Guard at your service ladies and gentlemen. These are my fellow officers, Petty Officer Second Class Patricia Rockford and Petty Officer Second Class Seth Diaz. We are glad to have found you all here alive on this island, although certainly not in the circumstances we had expected. Pilot and Technical Operator First Class Helen Reutal was unfortunately lost at sea when our HH-60 Jayhawk mysteriously crashed not far from where I believe your plane went down. She will be missed by us all. To add tragedy to tragedy, we also lost all our satellite communications equipment in the crash, meaning we shall have to wait here until the operating technicians at the closest Rescue Coordination Centre notice our absence and organises a second rescue attempt for us all. Failing that, my fellow crewmen from our Coast Guard cutter, the USCGC Hamilton, should find it strange we have offered no communication or time of return and follow up on us. Until this time, I urge you all to try and remain calm and we'll do what we can to assist you all in survival on this dismal island. I suppose in a way we are also survivors, much like you, so we must work together to try and live this out until we can be saved. I understand that you have already had some difficulties with a small group of people here who killed one of your fellow survivors before we could get here to help. Know this, her death will not go unavenged, justice will be served. We may be stranded, but that is never an excuse to resort to savagery. While I do feel your proposed method of dealing with this threat is rather uncouth, we must do something to protect ourselves from these savages, and so I resign myself to take part in this lynch mob and hope that we come out the better for it. I don't know what the Department of Justice or the Nautical Board of Inquiry will have to say about this, but as the ones here, we must "adapt however we must to the situations presented to us to survive in an unknown environment", as my mentor from the Academy once told me. An excellent idea, Shirley was it? What these people need is some food in their bellies, we must try and keep spirits high, for it is when people start to get desperate that the most harm occurs wile stranded in a hostile environment. This situation will surely put my skills as an Officer to the test; we are going to need to cope as best we can.
  19. Will we be seeing day 1 soon? I can tell everyone is eager to get started.
  20. Oh my lord, DJ my dear what's happened to you!? Diesel rushes over to the side of his dear beloved wife, letting out a cry of heart-wrenching agony. Oh darling, speak to me, please! I... I can't go on without your ever present wit and your nightingale voice. *sob* You are my light in this encroaching darkness, my anchor in a sea of chaos and despair. Don't leave me darling, I beg of you. We can still make it out of this together... Diesel looks up angrily at the rest of the party. Can nobody help her!? Where is the doctor? My wife is in danger here! Won't somebody please think of the baby!?
  21. ~ The Role-Play Games Index ~ If you're into Role-Play, then this is the place to be. Here you can find absolutely everything to do with past, present and future Role-Play games on Eurobricks. Mystery games were among the first games to ever be played on Eurobricks, and after the highly popular and successful medieval fantasy EBRP, they've become one of our favourite genres. Mystery games are all about solving problems both individually and as a team working with a common goal. Other Role-Play games include interactive story-based games, where players create their own characters and adventure together in a common world. If you are interested in playing a Role-Play game, then simply sign up to the next available game. Make sure you familiarise yourself with the rules for that game; reading over some previous games may also help too. While you won't always get in the first time, the best way to get in is to be a positive and well-spoken individual, to respect our fellow players and game hosts, to post maturely in all parts of the boards and to be seen as reliable. Remember that playing in these games is a privilege, not a right. It is also important to remember that playing any Role-Play game requires a time commitment for at least two months, varying between games. If you are not willing to commit the time to playing, then these games are not for you. If you are interested in hosting a Role-Play game, then you will need to contact the Games Moderator (Dragonator) privately. Hosting a game is a big responsibility, and permission to host will not be granted lightly. If you want to seriously be considered as a future game host, you need to have a clear understanding of the rules and the role a host plays in the game, and to have demonstrated your ability to show deep thinking and imagination in crafting a fun and exciting game to play. You then need to provide a game summary to the Games Moderator, outlining your idea in such a way that it does not give away any crucial plot details or prevents anyone who reads it from playing the game. You will be required to invest a lot of time and effort into creating character roles and building scenery and sets for the game. Lastly, the game will need to be produced in an aesthetically pleasing and professional manner. It must be carefully planned and well executed to make the game enjoyable for the players. If you take a hosting slot and aren't ready when your time comes around you will be moved to the end of the list after discussion with the Games Moderator. 22. Well thank the good spirits for that, I thought I was done for there! You're a real gem Penny, thanks so much, you've saved my life. If I could, I would hug you inappropriately, but as it is, I should probably go help with getting us out of this death trap. From one mortal danger to another, such is the life of this hero, it would seem. I would volunteer to swing with you now I'm all healed but I'm not sure what my lovely DJ would have to say about it. Err, DJ honey?
  23. Yes, please do, I don't want to become permanently erected.
  24. Oooh, Penny, please, if you could I would be ever so grateful. I'm feeling a bit woozy, and this stony arm isn't looking at all healthy. Diesel walks over to the barred gate and waits hopefully for Penny to perform her magic and cure him of his ills, starring woefully at her with sad puppy eyes for effect.
  25. God, not another death so soon! Poor Zach, he was such a dedicated and humorous young man, that constant smile said it all. So sad to see him go. ...Ah crap, ticking and slow turning can only mean one thing... Yep, countdown. I don't like the look of that wall with the spikes either. In other news though, my arm appears to be turning to stone, and I was wonder, just out of curiosity, if someone might, perchance, have any ideas that might save me before I turn into a petrified corpse!? Anyone at all!!? This is serious! I can't swing my fabulous sword, which I managed to somehow stuff in my pocket earlier, if I'm a bloody stone statue! DJ darling, comfort me! DJ? Maybe once I can take my mind off this arm I'll be able to put my thoughts towards getting out of this room before the ceiling drops on us or something equally dramatic.
