Batbrick returns to Lego animation!
Dragonator replied to Batbrick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That sounds great Batbrick! I know next to nothing about making animations, so no help here(), however I wish you the best of luck in this fine endeavour and look forward to your upcoming premiers! I hope I get invited... Have fun, can't wait to see them in the near future! I will be following your progress very closely (does that sound creepy to you? ). BTW, that is great to hear you came third in that Australian competition! Good job! I don't suppose you still have the videos somewhere so we can see them? -
Fabuland Copmike's Antique Police Cruiser
Dragonator replied to SirNadroj's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Again, another nice one. You sure have a talent for these. I the chrome, it is very nice and... shiny... The last photo is a sure winner. As a quick question, does Copmike fit inside? The roof looks a little low for it, but that could just be because I can't see inside. Perhaps a photo of him driving it? Great job again, keep it up! -
Another great MOC SirNadroj, I like this one a lot! These Fabuland MOCs are quite fun, I may try my hand when I get some minifgs. An interesting and different technique for the wheels, I like it!

I must be going insane (well, some think I already am ) but I'm sure I've said this already somewhere... To make it perfectly clear, the meeting will be held at M-10. Did you get that? I'll tell you again, M-10! Sorry about that. For more info, please read up four posts.

This has already been found, and thrashed out for 10 pages or so in the 2008 Castle Sets thread. It is always good to see these things don't go unnoticed however.

Review: 7627 Indiana Jones - Temple of the Crystal Skull
Dragonator replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks svelte_corps for the great review, if it's out in Aussie then it should hopefully be reaching NZ soon. I can't wait! This looks like a great set, for me at least. I too am a great fan of spooky old temples, they are such fun. I love the look of the base plate, but the stickers don't look all that great. I wish they printed it like they always used too. I have to get this set. And the other ones too. Thanks again, you have brightened this sad day. -
Well, it does not matter if you arrive a little early, we may have things to discuss (), the representative from Ankoria (KK2) will probably be a little late, as he has to cross the Dragons Tail at its tallest point, and I don't know when the Black Knights representative will be here. The Black Falcons man is already in town, staying at the inn. You can fill in a little time by doing some other things first if you like.

They will all three be missed, greatly, and I am sure they appreciate your expression of sorrow.

Nice work Batbrick, a funny play on words. Your medieval version of Batman is very realistic, exactly what I would have seen him as in that time. Great job, I always enjoy your vigs, and this one is especially good.

M10 Dromindur; the great Southern City Finally we have arrived! Yes it is good to be here. Stop the carriage! The carriage rolled to a halt, outside a large private home not far from the entrance in the northern wall. I need to speak with Marcus, Dragonator stated, stepping down from the carriage. Looking back at the mounted party, Dragonator realised that not only was Marcus here, but also the other three generals; Gillious, Spencer and Andrew. What are you three doing here!? Are you telling me there is nobody left at the keep to look after things except Grim? Don't get your cape twisted Drago, we're here on an important mission. Oh don't be a moron you stupid thing, he knows why we're here, don't you my Lord? I don't know why I'm here, this has nothing to do with Siege- Quiet! Sorry... You are here to meet the delivery are you not? The weapons we requested from the Dwraves? Spot on as always my Lord, and may I say your cape is looking particularly spiffing today? Yes, the weapons are to equipe mainly our mighty cavalry force, although I am sure one or two might make it through to the... Infantry. Jolly as usual, aren't we Spency? You know as well as I do that the Infantry men need better weapons. These ones will be sure to be of particular helpfulness to our army, aye, nudge nudge, wink wink. Whatever you say. We were informed that they would be here soon, so we came down to meet them, and the delivery dragon. Our Southern commander should know whether they have arrived yet. Good, just don't go telling anyone what's so special about them. Especially you, Gillious. I would not tell a soul, not knowingly at least! That's why I worry. Good day. The men parted company, Dragonator getting back into the carriage and heading off for The Ravine, with Marcus following on his horse, while the three generals went into the house, leaving their men outside to look after the horses. Talk about being inconspicuous. Ah well, they're good guys, worth putting up with. Now let us find our inn, I have a few arrangements to make before people start arriving... L7 Dragons Keep; Ragnir's Accommodation Ragnir sat in the dim light of his chamber, idly tossing a black Stones playing piece in the air. I wonder why I haven't heard anything from Dragonator? This is starting to seem a little suspicious. Baby Nizbet looked up at Ragnir, a cheerful grin on his little face. Hur? Ah you wouldn't know little one. I haven't seen your father recently. He is probably out practising with his men to the west. It must be lonely, there are no other dragons here at the moment. Hurr! Except you of course. A knock came at the door, which then creaked open to reveal Majiko, hunched over so his face was hidden. Majiko. A pleasant surprise, how can I help you? I... have come to feed Baby Nizbit. He must be hungry, running around all day. Most certainly, he will be looking forward to a good meal. Off you go. Nizbit scampered into the old wizards arms, who promptly turned and walked out. Something seemed a little odd about him today, he is usually much more polite... Up in the tower, Majiko struggled against the tight bonds that held his hands and wrists... Meanwhile in Adym's Workroom... The Shadow looked up at Adym with contempt in his eyes. You know nothing of me. My name is ore than a name, it is my complete being. You would not understand these things, it is something only we ninja can comprehend. To you, suicide may seem the cowards way out. To us it is a way of escaping dishonour. But you would not understand. You want to know how to walk quietly, like a leave on the wind? You could not do it with your clumsy feet and your dragging lump of metal. It is something that comes with years of practise, years of dedication to the holy temples. You wouldn't have the control to even attempt such a thing. I ask that you simply kill me now, like any honourable man would. I will tell you that no matter whether I die tonight or whether you leave me here, soon you will be a prisoner in this very keep, you and all your people. There is no escaping it. The Shadow sat back, patting from the strain of talking with a few cracked ribs. Know this. My brothers will avenge me. Never will you be free, never will you be safe, until your final dying day. May it come soon. The king should be informed of this, Grim said into the silence. It cannot go unnoticed that there is a traitor, or more than one, in our very keep. We may already be running out of time. Trust me, you already are. Grim turned and dashed out the door, heading for the king, leaving Adym with the ninja.

That was a fun read. I understand, if only because your story lines are so good! Right, meeting. Coordinates: M-10 City: Dromindur (not far from the border) Place: The Ravine (a small tavern near the eastern side of the city) For a better map reference I have provided a nice little map with some of the cities labelled, which can be found on page 4 of the Characters thread. Does that answer your question?

I cannot believe I didn't pick up that I said that! My apologies, I feel like some single-celled organism swimming in a swamp. What I meant to say was do you have a picture of Grandoth? But hang on, are you telling me you don't know who Galcor is? Do you not read my posts?

I made two more Bricklink orders yesterday, mainly to get two large sails to replace the missing ones in the Black Seas Barracuda I bought last week. In the end I accidentally found myself spending over 100USD on the two orders. I got another Black Knights set, a small one a knight, a ghost and a small tower, as well as six horses with saddles, flags and weapons, some shields, four dragon knights minifigs, lots of bricks, mainly 100 2x6 bley bricks, and a few other bits and pieces. Ah, the addiction is spreading...

As a news update, I have added Part 3 of my Kingdom Overview, including updated pictures of some characters and information on the Army Generals and one other new character who will appear soon in the adventure. Shadows, I haven't made a character description of Marghan yet as I thought you might like to pass by and add your own charm to his character first. Enjoy! I will also be posting the next part of my story line soon, sorry I'm a little behind. By the way Shadows, do you have a picture of Galcor? I am planning on taking some photos for the meeting, and it would be good if he could be there. Of course if I don't have the parts then it shouldn't matter too much, he wont be in the actual meeting anyway, no matter how much he protests. This will be my fist big MOC in quite some time, I hope you all like it when I finally get round to finishing it. I have mainly been working on it as a preliminary for Dragons Keep, which will be huge!

EBRP General Information and Character thread.
Dragonator replied to Khorne's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Dragon Masters Kingdom Overview Part 3 Characters (cont.) First, some updated pictures of General Marcus and Councillor Scorpia, with their capes: Councillor Scorpia: And General Marcus: Dragons I gave you all general information last time, however there is one more character that needs to be added: Baby Nizbit is a two month old baby dragon from the famen breed, son of Blazewing (father) and Gembal (mother). He is a playful little rogue, and enjoys running round and getting under his parents' feet. He is currently in Dragons Keep, visiting with his father, who is a mid-weight for the Air Marshals. Picture: The Army The Dragon Masters Army is like any other in that it is a military force, with a number of squadrons etc, however it is also different in some ways. The Army has for main sections: the Air Marshals(flying units), Infantry, Cavalry and Siege Weapons. Each of these sections is headed by a single general, with one of them acting as the Commanding Officer. The four generals always consult each other on their plans, and it is up to the commander to ensure that all the sections act in each others interests. This group of four men is called the Supreme Command (as a point of historical note, during the great war, there were in fact five in this group, with the four generals plus Dragonator acting as the Supreme Commander). Each section has it's own plumes; yellow for the Air Marshals, Red for the Infantry (which also covers the Kingdoms Messengers), blue for the Cavalry and white for the Siege Weapons. More information on ranks and squadrons etc will come at a later date. Below are the three generals you have not meet yet: General Gillious is the commander of the Infantry. He is a jolly old chap and has been in the post for years, serving under Dragonator during the great war. Always good a t dinner parties, he is a great man to visit the local pub with, although it would be unwise to try and out-drink him. When it comes to war, however, he is right down to business, no jokes accepted. He has proven himself countless times on the battlefield as a tactical genius, and is very good at looking at the lay of the land and finding points of strategic importance etc. Picture: Will be added shortly General Spencer is the commander of the Cavalry. He is an obnoxious and disdainful man, like most cavalry officers, and thinks his section is far more important than any other. This partly comes from him being born into a very rich aristocratic family, the Mandrigol's. Despite his first appearances, he is a loyal friend, and if not so good with tactics as some, he can very easily contribute to the overall scheme of things with his immense knowledge of horses and cavalry formations. He is also a very good judge of character, and likes a brandy before bed. He has been in his post for a long while and also served under Dragonator during the great war. Unlike with most people, he has a huge amount of respect for Dragonator, and the pair enjoy sitting and talking about horses. Picture: Will be added shortly General Andrew is the commander of the Siege section. He is very young for the job, only 27, and has only held the post since last year, after the death of General Nim, who chose Andrew as his replacement not long before he died. General Andrew is a nervous young man, and is known to stutter when hegets excited, especially over those things he is passionate about, namely siege and weapons. Before becoming the general he was a Siege engineer, as it was noticed early on that he had tremendous talent in designing these weapons. He joined the 4th Siege Battalion the year before the war as a trebuchet operator; by the end of the war he had been promoted to a second lieutenant in the battalion. He knows his work, and can have a custom weapon designed and built for a city wall in less than a week. As a hobby he is developing another siege weapon, which he refuses to tell anyone about. He is nicely accepted by the other three generals, and his opinion is respected, although Spencer often attempts to disregard him because of his youth and lack of social skills. The other two generals thick of him as a nephew, especially Gillious. Picture: Will be added shortly That concludes Part 3. I don't know when Part 4 will be coming, but be sure it will help explain anything people may be confused about, as well as some new characters. If you have managed to read all this so far, I am impressed! -ator -
At least someone here is continuing the story line for me, I haven't had much time to do anything much recently! New dragons are always good, and I will add the new place to my map (if I ever get round to it... ). It is no trouble at all, you always make places that will fit in easily, so I don't mind if you need to name a few. It certainly helps me somewhat! Marghan will have been posted there by General Marcus, as he is in charge of the Air Marshals. That i something I need to add to my character description. Ah well, looks like part 3 should be here soon. Back to the point, most dragons feel no loyalty to the king, especially this one as he has neglected them allowed the old treaty to go through that outlawed them and let people hunt them. No, no loyalty there. Dragons are in general loyal to the kingdom, as the people there are the only ones in the whole land that understand them and give them respect and friendship. At least until King Dracus took the throne, after which connections began to thin. If you can be bothered reading my whole first post in the Adventure Thread then some of the history is explained briefly there. Recently dragons have of course been returning to the kingdom, although most are still safely in the Valley. This is, of course, a violation of the old treaty (spurred on by me ). As the treaty was never officially recognised by the council, it was decided (by majority but not by all) that it would be ignored. This is where the tension with the Scorpion Knights started up again. This will be developed soon, in the story. After that condensed history lesson, the short answer is that the dragon will most likely know of your coming, as Ragnir will have contacted him. Of course, dragons do enjoy having a little fun now and then. In answer to your last question, the meeting is being held at Dromindur, in a small tavern called The Ravine, mostly because it is right next to a long gorge. A footbridge spans the gorge at this point, with a larger one further along going into the main town (for carriages etc). I hope to have this scene with pictures, it just depends on whether I finish building in time. I should do though, I'll just have to substitute a few things for different elements, as my Bricklink Order certainly wont arrive in time. If you have managed to read all of this, then congrats, and have fun on your journey!

How many O-Rings does one person need!? And Viking longboats for that matter. That guy must have a fair bit of spare cash to throw around. I wonder how it was packaged? As for me, I made another small Bricklink order, just to get some wheels for my cannons and some other bits and pieces. The one I made last week has left me a bit short in cash. Addiction ON!

I voted as follows: Q1. Definitely yes! I would love to be able to get some new WW sets, rather than the occasional used one. And I love all the historically based themes. Q2. I voted to expand the original theme, but I would also like to see things like trains and train buildings etc, and that ties in with Q3. Q3. There are all sorts of things! Firstly trains, especially a classic big black steam engine. That would be my dream WW set. I of course voted for trains here. We could also see some new town things though, as well as other animals than just horses and snakes. Q4. I like WW because I'm a history buff. I enjoy all the history based themes, and this is one I missed out on entirely! Please bring it back! Q5. The minifigs, they were so great and detailed. I liked lots of other pieces too, like the tan baseplates and cannons, as well as accessories and such, but the ninifigs were the things that stood out for me, they had some very nice prints. Although the large brown barrels and tree stumps are following very close behind. -ator

This is a very nice expansion on the main set. I too agree that some of the colours are a little off, but the structure looks good! This definitely looks like a working mine!
-
That is a great MOC Rupi! Everything about it shouts WW. THe roof looks great, and particularly like the little details, especially the power polls and the broken cart underneath. Great job, I too am looking forward to more.

Happy Birthday Batbrick! (and also to conmaniac89). Hope you have a great time on this, your first birthday! Enjoy yourself, and don't overload on the cake:

Hips: Your Opinions Appreciated
Dragonator replied to Shadows's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I have to go for B, although I do agree with Sir Dano that A would look good with a corset. -
Great interview guys, I enjoyed all the little remarks as usual, and a very funny introduction. I was very depressed when there wasn't one last week... Brainbox, you had some interesting things to say, thanks for sharing! An interesting choice in favourite sets, the only one of those I have is the Viking set, although I would love to have the AT-AT. Good to see that you are enjoying castle month too. Interviews ON! -ator

THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
Dragonator replied to The Middleman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I would like to nominate Lamanda2 for excellent communication and shipping. The capes were fantastic and I would recommend them to any castle (or other) fan. Thanks! -
That is a great tree house SlyOwl, you have included some excellent building techniques and lots of nice details. I too like the fact that it is not just square, building at other angles sure is fun (and challenging! ). As a side note, I cannot believe I just went and read all 22 pages of the ice-cube thread. What an experience...
