  1. L7 Dragon's Keep; The Throne Room A gentle breeze blew in through the open window, carrying a slight chill, a warning of the winter that was to come. It was autumn now, and a full month had passed since the death of King Dracus. Things had not been good since then. Lord Dragonator sat upon his throne and stared out over the majestic city of Dratos, barely hearing what the man before him was saying. ... and so, my Lord, if we do not strike now to secure yourself as King here, then Civil war could break out at any time. Lord Rotrigous has already secured four Houses behind him, which is enough to be a serious threat to you already. You yourself only have the backing of four as it is. I fear that things could get ugly my Lord. Lord Dragonator sighed. Marcus, I do not believe that Rotrigous is going to give up without a fight. He may not hold the Keep, but he holds to much influence among the other Houses and especially in the army. I don't understand how he managed to bypass my orders, but the release of those Ankorian war prisoners last week was a severe blow to my authority. Do not worry sir, as long as I live, that man will never control the army. The soldiers respect rank sir, and as the commanding General, I am the one they listen to. That may be, but many of your officers are not so loyal. We must be very careful. Times were tough. And Dragonator was sure that things were only destined to get worse in the kingdom...
  2. This torture matter is very confusing, I agree, and we must sort it out tomorrow. I think there is more to our Inquisitor and the "torturer than meets the eye. However as we do not know anything for sure yet, let us contemplate on what we know overnight and then we can come together tomorrow morning with clear heads to make a proper informed decision. It is getting dark, and I think it might almost be time for us to return to our beds...
  3. HI Dennimator, There is a very comprehensive list of sigfigs on the Your Sigfig thread. You'll probably find this a very useful resource. Remember that some people's sigfigs evolve over time, so you may want to make sure you are using their current one. Good luck with your film!
  4. Well a decision has been rwached, and I feel it is the best one we could make under the circumstances. It has been a very confusing day, hopefully tomorrow will bring some enlightenment from our dear Lord. I just hope by God that we didn't miss something important, what with all the many distractions... Anyway, now that we have made a decision, let us drink! To a witch free Azufre!
  5. It had been a full month since the land had seen any sign of action. Any sign of a hero. The land waited. And it waited impatiently. For a shadow was rising, and the fabric of time demanded that a hero... or heroes... should rise up and defend the land.... ...before it was to late... Would a new hero arise? Would the land survive to see again the peace and prosperity it once took for granted? Only you can decide... Unknown Location A slight shift in the breeze. Nothing more. Or was it? The sticky waters of the swamp shifted lazily in an unseen current. Except in one place. There, something lay. Something that was waking. Something buried for time beyond memory, before the coming of humans to the land. And it was almost ready. But ready for what? That, only it could answer...
  6. Well, it appears that little seems to be happening here, so I am proposing the following idea, which will hopefully work for all. I hope nobody minds me taking the initiative and posting this the revival post in adventure thread. The way I see it, we need to start doing something, not just let this slip away again, and as nobody else is doing anything, I'll just have to do it and hope you all agree. A month has passed. People who were already playing can continue their stories from where they left off, just with a small time difference, while any new players looking to join can easily integrate themselves into the game without needing to read any of the previous posts. I think that this particular idea will work with the majority of players, and should hopefully attract some more people to play, as it allows both the continuation of old story lines, as well as a break so that new people can easily join up with out feeling they're intruding on what other's are already doing. New Players. If you are looking to play but don't have a clue as to what's going on, don't worry! Simply visit the first post in this thread and follow the links to find out the basic information. Then, think of a character, make sure he or she is realistic, chose a faction etc (guidelines are in the first post of the character thread), and start posting! There is no set standard for what you post, other than that you cannot type anything that contradicts another player, and of course you must be sensible. Other than that, the only limit is your imagination! For more information and a full set of the very simple and easy to follow rules, check out the General Information Thread. There are not many, and it is not hard to follow them. Now, let's get playing! EDIT: The game has been refreshed, starting at post #440 (on page 30). Feel free to start or continue your stories at any time. Remember, have fun, and enjoy yourselves! If you have any questions, ask me or WhiteFang, and we will be happy to help.
  7. One zombie, who we'll call Jim, got very annoyed at the shooting-man-in-the-sky, and picking up a handy bazooka, proceeded to blow up the helicopter, showering burning shrapnel down over the now screaming citizens. Of the captain there was no sign. However, Jim decided that...
  8. At that moment, a giant three eyed fish jumped up out of a nearby lake and swallowed the helicopter, with Captain Zuloo inside. The zombies sniggered and continued towards the terrified civilians. Suddenly a huge...
  9. No, and that's why I have been reluctant to go after him so far. As I have said, the only evidence that counts against him is that he arrived late. The other two both arrived late because of night actions, which means it is likely he has some sort of night action. However I don't really think that this is enough to convict him. For all we know, he could have been using his night action for good. There is some suspicion of him however, so perhaps something else will come up over night, and we can look into it tomorrow. As for surviving the night, we must try not to think of our own mortal lives, but rather of the life of the town. It is an unfortunate fact, but some of us are going to die before this is over, we must try and make sure that every single one of those deaths is not in vain. If somebody dies tonight, then hopefully we will be able to make something of it. Personally, I just hope that we manage to avoid another death like we did last night, but it is unlikely...
  10. Yes, it is worrisome, however we do not have any sort of real evidence against him yet, other than that he turned up late, which is why I thought we should focus on Bernard and Martinus first. For all we know, Bernard could be the night killer... But then, so could anyone else.
  11. ..banning the monster to a dreaded dark chamber in a slimy subterranean environment. Then Hinckley looked up into the eyes of...
  12. That could be true, but to be honest, I find this theory a bit unlikely. First, I do not think it would be so easy for the town people to be turned, one every night. If that were to happen, then we could be beaten in the first few days, depending on who got voted off etc. Second, I find it very unlikely that they would be turned in such a manor, by being beaten into it. That would be much to obvious, especially since then Martinus would report to the Inquisitor who he had turned... Sorry, but I just don't think that theory makes much sense. Why would all three who were involved be so open about it if Bernard was being turned? If what you say were true, then all three would have to be witches, and then coming out about it all like they did would just be plain stupid. No, I don't think that this theory is what happened, but it was an option worth considering.
  13. If that turns out to be true, then we can easily get him tomorrow. I am very confident with my conclusion however, I think that I've made the best choice under the circumstances. I am of course open to suggestions if somebody sees something I've missed. That is a point, I think that with everything else that has been going on, nobody has been paying much attention to him. We will definitely look into him once we have all this other business cleared up however.
  14. A Sand Green goes pretty well with black anyway, so it wont matter. I'll personally be using black.
  15. So am I... Oh wait, that's me. Now, the Inquisitor has changed everything that I thought. I will get on to what he said in a moment, but first... Are you all mad!! The Inquisitor comes out and confirms that Martinus is the town torturer, the only person who can truly discover the heretics, and you all immediately vote for him without even considering a single fact? You're all crazy! Right, I've got that over with. Now to look at what has been said, and what options we have. First of all, I think it is very unwise for us all to be voting for Martinus, as he is the only person that can truly find the heretics if what the Inquisitor says is true. Therefore with out much better evidence, I feel that this is a very silly thing to do. There are a few scenarios that I think are possible at the moment. 1. The Inquisitor has told the truth; Martinus is the torturer, and Bernard is a heretic. I find this the most likely option under the circumstances (more on that later). 2.The Inquisitor is telling the truth, however Martinus is lying to him and is a heretic, and Bernard is a citizen. I don't feel this very to be very likely however, never before have I ever heard of a witch who reports to a citizen for their night action. Then again, it is possible. 3. The Inquisitor is telling the truth; Martinus is a citizen, and Bernard is also a citizen. (The only way this could happen would be if Martinus is a "lousy cop", a citizen who can find out a persons affiliation but always gets it wrong. I am not sure if this role is one that is very likely to have been included however.) 4. The Inquisitor is lying, Martinus is a heretic and Bernard is a citizen. 5. All three are witches, and an internal power struggle is going on. Now, looking at what has been said, I would think that option 1 is the most likely. This is for the following reasons. If the Inquisitor were to lie, then we would soon discover it the next day when we voted somebody off. Next, it is consistent; it agrees with both Bernard and Martinus. I also find it very unlikely that all three are witches. I am very much inclined to believe what the Inquisitor has to say, simply because I don't think he would be stupid enough to lie at this moment. This is what I think we should do. All things considered, Bernard is the person we should vote for. We have plenty of evidence pointing to him, and he is definitely a much safer choice than anyone else. If in the unlikely chance that he is a citizen, then we will know that we must vote Martinus and possibly the Inquisitor off after him. However, I do not believe that Bernard is a citizen, no from what the current evidence suggests. The Inquisitor and Martinus would not be stupid enough to say it if it were not true. As for what Bernard had to say in his defence, it sounded to me like the sort of thing a witch would say to try and make themselves seem less suspicious. Yes I know I'm being judgemental on this particular point, but in the circumstances, if he were a citizen, then I feel that he would have reacted differently. There is just to much evidence pointing to him for me t even consider voting for anyone else, in all honesty. If we vote for Martinus on the other hand, then we have a problem. Either he is a witch, which with the current evidence I highly doubt, or he is indeed the torturer, in which case we will greatly regret our decision. No, instead, it would be better to vote Bernard off and find him innocent (which I don't think will happen), and then vote for Martinus, than vote Martinus off first and find him to be innocent. I understand that many of you are unhappy with the consistency of what he has said, but I believe that this is because he at first wanted to hide who he was, for fear of the witches. And rightly so. Now Charles, you make a good point about his "list". It does appear to be the sort of thing a guilty man might say, but then, he was one vote away from death, and I think that he wanted to get his thoughts out for us to consider before he died. In all honest I don't agree with anything he says in that list really, as I don't see any evidence for most of it, and there is still the possibility that he is a witch. However I do not think that we should be risking someone who could possibly be our town torturer and our only hope of salvation simply because he has got the wrong end of the stick on interpreting a few things. So, if we vote off Bernard, then either way, whether he is a witch or a citizen, we will gain something from it. If he is a witch, which I think is what he is, then all will be good, however if he is a citizen, then we will know that Martinus is a lying witch and so possibly is the Inquisitor. By voting for Bernard, we are certain to gain something, however by voting for Martinus, we either get a witch or lose our most valuable player. We must play this safe, otherwise will have no hope of prevailing over the heretics. Therefore, because I believe in my theory, I am going to, as promised earlier, cast my vote, now that the Inquisitor has had his say. I would like to Vote: Bernard (Trexxen). I strongly urge the rest of you to do the same. I have given this some deep thought, and I am certain that I am right. However, if in the unlikely chance that Bernard is a citizen, then the mere fact will be enough for us to condemn Martinus and possibly the Inquisitor, although I would want more evidence for him. Otherwise we risk losing the torturer, which is just silly. Now that we have got the whole Bernard-Martinus-Fernardo thing cleaned up, I would like to move on to Charles and Alexander. With this information from the Inquisitor, I am glad to say that I am now more inclined to believe that both of these people are citizens, although I do think that we should look into it a bit more, as I am not certain. I understand that you both get on each other's nerves, but you must learn to work together if we are ever to overcome these heretics. There is still the possibility that one of you is a heretic, and we should look into it more at a later date, but for now I am content to leave you and focus on the more pressing matter of Bernard and Martinus etc. I hope that you both prove me right and that you are indeed both citizens. After all of that, I would quickly like to mention the other people that have come to my attention throughout the day. Miguel most certainly was up to something last night, and it is possible that he was the one that went after Alexander, however there is no evidence for it at the moment other than that he turned up late. I do think that particular matter needs to be cleared up soon however. After him, there are a few other people, however I do not currently see anything which could possibly point to them being witches at the moment, so I will leave off commenting on them until some sort of evidence comes up. Now I need another strong whiskey...
  16. Well, now I think that, even without the Inquisitor, we are almost ready to make a decision. But before we do, let us first contemplate on the consequences of what our choice could bring. Clearly Alexander and Charles are against each other. I am far more suspicious of Charles right now, but if in the unlikely event we voted for him and he was innocent, then I think we would definitely have to investigate Alexander a bit more, since he has been so much on Charles. Do not think that I doubt what you say good priest, I merely state that if you should be wrong, then I will want to know why. As for the Martinus-Bernard story, I am inclined to believe it. We really should await the Inquisitor before making a final decision however, it is better to be doubly certain than to make a silly mistake and condemn the wrong person. I really think that the only thing I can see is to vote for Charles today, however he does say some things that should be considered. Charles has be a bit confused, which is actually why I suspect him so much. He must be up to something to be confusing me so much. On one hand, what Charles has to say is very convincing. Then again, so is what Alexander has to say. Either Charles is innocent and very forward, which is likely given his personality, or he is lying through his teeth and trying to fit in with the crowd. It very much reminds me of how a royal advisor acted during similar circumstances in a period of history that has been refered to once or twice already. This traitorous adviser got away with a lot because he fitted in with the crowd. It could just be that Charles is using these same tactics, and possibly Alexander, although I am inclined to believe him innocent because of what happened last night. So, there are two things that can be discovered by condemning Charles. I am not happy that we must do this, as I truly do not feel there is enough evidence, however from what we have, he is the most likely target, although I will await the Inquisitor before making my final decision. If Charles is a witch, then we will be rid of one of their most influential people, as well as confirming a few people as being fairly much innocent. However, if he is innocent, then we will have lost a valuable investigator, although it will led us to suspecting others such as Alexander. This is my dilemma at the moment. We also must not stop our investigations into others, as it is possible that this whole thing with Alexander, Charles, Martinus and Bernard is simply a distraction while the real witches do their dirty work. As Charles says, we still have Miguel to question; Martinus was late because he was torturing Bernard, so why was Miguel late? This is a valid point, and it is because Charles has brought up other such valid points that I am so confused s to whether we should condemn him or not. I do not want to lose a valuable citizen, but if he is a witch, then we must be rid of him. The problem is, which direction is the evidence actually pointing? I will leave you with those thoughts for now, I hope they help you all in your decisions. As for me, will not make any decision until I hear from the Inquisitor; what he has to say could be enough to throw all our theories away.
  17. What in the dear Lord's name is going on!? This town has gone mad! Can you not keep your cool for one day people? Today's decision could be our most important one of the whole game, and your all blundering about like mad fools, accusing people here there and everywhere! We need to look at the facts. The conversation today has taken so many twists and turns it is very hard to follow, but I have observed a few things that are worthy of note. First is the consistency of certain people's arguments. Some of you today have been all over the place, first accusing one person, then changing your minds and accusing another, after following again somebody else's erratic decision like sheep! We are not animals, like a certain noble says, but some of you are certainly acting like it today. From what I can see, the witches are succeeding madly, sowing confusion amongst us and doubts on people from the peasants right up to the rich nobles. We must focus if we want to get anywhere. So please, take a deep breath, and consider what has been said before making wild accusations or jumping to conclusions. Really, the behaviour of some people today has been atrocious! Another thing worth of observing, which I really don't want to, is some of the blunders people have been making. If what Bernard and Martinus say is true, then we are screwed. You are both fools for revealing such crucial information when a witch could so easily hear! They are probably all ready plotting our downfall now, because you two have given away two of our most important pro-town players! That, or your both lying through your teeth, which is also likely, I'm sorry to say. Your stories just don't add up, you have both changed your minds to often for me to entirely trust you. That said, I can almost believe your story because of how open you have been about it, drawing in the Inquisitor as well. If he confirms your story, 'll be more likely to believe it, because then the only possibility would be that all three of you are witches, and are taking a very big risk by being so open. This I highly doubt. If all three of you agree on the story, then I think I will be inclined to believe it, as I think it is too much for three witches to just make up; I cannot believe that you three would all be witches, you have been much to open for that to be true, despite contradicting yourselves a few times. If your story turns out to be correct, then our next port of call, is Charles, our attention hogging noble, and Alexander, our Godly Priest. These two have been at each other since day 1, and it has caused a lot of confusion. There are 5 possibilities that I think we should consider. 1. Both Charles and Alexander are innocent, and are simply very suspicious of each other by nature. 2. Charles is innocent and his theory about Alexander is correct, in which Alexander is a witch. 3. Charles is a witch, and Alexander is innocent and his theory is correct. 4. Both Charles and Alexander are witches, and are working together to purposefully sow confusion amongst the townsfolk. 5. Both are witches, and there is some sort of internal power struggle going on. Now, I know that I probably wont be popular for bringing this up, but the truth must be found. Of course, if Martinus and Bernard turn out to be lying, then we should definitely turn on them first, but if not, then this is what I feel we need to look at next. These are the 5 possibilities, and we should consider each of them, and try to find the truth from what we know. I must say that I highly doubt options 4 and 5, as I don't think that if they were both witches they would have been fighting quite so openly. That leaves three options. From what I can see, I have a gut feeling that one or the other is a witch. There is no evidence to say that they are not both innocent, as this possibility should continue to be considered, however from what has been said between them and the way that each of them has been reacting to certain events, I do think that one of them must be a witch, especially if the Beranrd-Martinus story is true. If it is not, then I will be less suspicious of these two, but as we do not know yet, I think that this is worth discussing. Now, from what we have seen, Charles has been very willing to accuse a lot of people, and has drawn attention to himself on a number of occasions. However, our dear Alexander has also been quick to take action a number of times, so they are not both without fault. Please do not take this personally, I'm just trying to say that, all things considered, you are both as likely to be a witch as the other. As things stand at the moment, I am undecided. However, depending on how this thing with Martinus and Bernard turns out, then I'll know who I think is guilty. On the whole I suspect Charles more than Alexander, but that can easily change. Charles seems very eager to be rid of Martinus, and if his story is not confirmed by the Inquisitor, then I will be willing to side with him. However, if it is not, then Charles, I'm sorry to say, will probably be my number on suspect. That is just how I think the evidence is pointing, he has been very ready to be rid of the pair, and if the evidence seems to point in his favour, then I will gladly side with him, however if it does not, then I will probably be against him, depending on what else is revealed later today. So, I will make my decision once the Inquisitor makes his speech. Until then, I cannot confidently go against any one person. There are others other than those that I have mentioned that have been arousing my suspicions, however I will focus on my main suspects for the moments, and if things take a turn for the better, then we can move on to those people. So Inquisitor, please, make your statement. Once you have I will better be able to decide who to go against. Now that I've got all that said, I'll let some of the rest of you have a say, and then I have a fair amount of stuff I would like to discuss as to the outcomes of who we vote for and what they will mean, depending on what we find out. I have a number of scenarios that I think could happen, and I want to discuss these with you soon before we make our final decision as to who should go today. One things is certain, somebody will be condemned today, it is up to us to ensure that it is the right person. All that talking has made me thirsty, I need a drink...
  18. We'll have to see about that, my team has some great stuff on the boards, we'll whip your team! That said, I probably can't start building for a few weeks any way, lucky this is a long term project. I've got some great ideas, you'll see once it's done.
  19. Well, I have been listening very closely to what has been said, and I must say there is a severe conflict of opinion and interpretation of information. I agree that somebody must be voted off today, and from looking at how people have been reacting to certain accusations, I feel that I have come to a decision. I am not, of course, one hundred percent certain, as there are a number of people who have aroused my suspicions today, however I think that somebody must go, and I think I am close to the truth. Before I reveal my decision, it would be nice to have a current vote tally. I'd also like to hear a bit more from a few people, so please, continue your talk, I am learning a lot from what you all have to say...
  20. We will miss you ISC, you are an excellent player and you have a great sense of homour. My nights with Sabrina just wont feel the same without you at he reins. I hope you come back and join us all for the next game, we will miss you!
  21. I agree with that, and the church looks so cool, I love how you made the cross out of a sword and two keys. There are some great details in there.
  22. Now KimT, we have already discussed this. When somebody gets around to building the dungeon, we're going to lock Hinckley in it and get him to build copies of all our models! It's genius!
  23. And a good morning to you John. You are right about that last bit, I hadn't noticed that. It could be that he just lived in that direction though. I can see two other people wandering off in another direction too, so either it is a big hint, or just because they live on the other side of town, which is probably more likely. Still, this should be considered. Now, I have noticed one other thing that was said at the end of yesterday. So, perhaps our mysterious killer was actually a citizen, trying to kill someone they thought was a heathen? It does seem a little unlikely, but we can't rule anything out. If this was the case however, then it would been that the witches took no action last night, which I think is also very unlikely. That is why I do doubt this theory a little, but if more evidence is found, then it should be out there to be considered, no matter how unlikely. Right, that's about all I can see at the moment. Anyone else have any thoughts?
  24. Ah here we go, now that we are all here, we can look at this last bit of information. Obviously Bernard has been the subject of a torture investigation, that or he gets up to some weird stuff at night... So, I want to know what happened to Bernard. Can you tell us what happened to you Bernard? Also we might want to consider noting the last two people to arrive, Miguel and Martinus. Either they are both late risers, or they could possibly have been up to something. Perhaps just something to keep in mind if any other evidence were to come up later, but probably not something that is conclusive or points towards any suspicious activity.
  25. Well I'm glad to see that nobody was killed. That is certainly good news, the witches are not as smart as they think! The Lord does not permit the murder of innocents in his mighty Church. Now, on to what happened last night. I am sure there is much we can learn from this. Here are a few of my own observations and what I have got from them. 1. Alexander was attacked. This could mean any of the following: a) He is an innocent towns person that was targeted by a heretic, one who is a pretty bad shot. b) He is of unknown allegiance, and was attacked by another group (ie, serial killer or arsonist equivalent) c) This whole thing was a trick set up by the witches. I find this last option very unlikely however. I am more inclined to lean towards option a, but of course we cannot rule out option b. Still, I am a lot motre confident now that our priest is a good man. 2. The attacker had a musket, which is a fairly expensive item. This could mean anything. It could have been a rich person who used it, but then, it could also have been a peasant who stole the gun. On top of this, it could also have been someone with access to weapons, ie a guardsman. I'm not sure where to go with this line of thought, it doesn't really point to anyone at all. 3. One thing I don't understand is this bit: "...Alexander the Priest. Satisfied with his work, he had returned to the church." What work was the priest satisfied with? Can you tell us Alexander? 4. Who wanted to kill the priest? I'm sure if we review what was said yesterday we might be able to find a few suspects... Other than that, I don't see much else. Did anyone discover anything they want to share with the rest of us? Any sort of information would be welcome right now.
