  1. I too would like to know why you are voting for Martinus when all the evidence points elsewhere. He could be our only hope of catching the heretics, and yet you want to vote for him with no other reason than that you were suspicious yesterday? You're not a desperate heretic are you? Your confession would help us a lot here. Alexander, you make some excellent points. I too think that these items are a warning of what is to come, if not of what has already happened. Of course, I just wish we could be a bit more certain of their meaning.
  2. Thanks for all the positive comments guys, I appreciate them. I'm going to start work on my city soon, hopefully I'll have a fair part of it ready for the start of Mystery Castle II. I want to build some things for a few other occasions as well, such as the CCCVI, so I'm going to be busy!
  3. You know the Crusty Krab was available through my local store a few months ago, although I don't think he has any left now. If you wanted one, you should have told me!
  4. This looks like it will be a great read when it's finished, I'm looking forward to it! I'm sure I will find it very interesting, I've always wanted to find out a bit more about how I should position my minifigs to make them more historically accurate. It will be a very helpful resource!
  5. Very good. Poor Hinckley, so uncared for and alone. And poor Sinner, with his crumpled cape! I can't decide which one I feel more sorry for. Oh, and nice hair, luckily I have it, so no need for me to go buying new stuff to be able to keep whacking you in the comfort of my own home.
  6. Another thought just occurred to me in relation to the goods in my store. Perhaps the witches have somehow managed to infiltrate my supply chain and are ordering this contraband in my name to try and avoid detection? This would make sense to me; they order the goods, and then grab in from my store when nobody is looking. If this is the case, then we should probably keep a close eye on that gunpowder, as that could cause some serious damage in the wrong hands...
  7. Hey now, calm down people. Your all becoming quite caught up, and as we saw yesterday, that can lead to irrational decisions. Clear your heads, and think logically, for that is what will get us somewhere, just like it did yesterday in the end, once we started thinking properly. My good sir, please stop and think for a moment. If I truly was a witch, do you think I, a well educated merchant, would be stupid enough to display controversial items that would link me to the witches on public display? You must be out of your mind! No, what you say would me much to obvious. I think that it is pointing instead to something different, for example, to the clue we got in day 1, which still hasn't been cleared up. It is a general rule for the... God of these games of... life to throw out clues that, when taken at face value, point to a citizen, but when looked into a little deeper, can point to a heretic. This I think is what is going on now. I know most certainly that I am simply a citizen who wants to clear this town of evil influences. It is clear that these same evil influences are trying to frame me to try and pull me down. Yes indeed, this must be it. I for one know that I don't have any control over what comes into my stores at the moment, it is all up to the suppliers that are passing through. This evidence is much to blatant for it to point to me. It needs some more in depth analysis. We managed to catch Bernard yesterday because we looked at the clues thoroughly, let us see if we can do it again today. Now, I know these things are shown in my store, but all I can really say is that God is playing a cruel trick. Nothing is ever as it seems remember. This clue has a deeper meaning, all we need to do is find it. Here are a few possible reasons that I think God might have included these items. 1. God is trying to remind us of what happened in Day 1. Somebody bought some suspicious goods, and we never found out who. 2. It is possible that this is the foundation for something that might be revealed later on. Perhaps I will catch somebody trying to buy this stuff, but I find it unlikely, I mean, who would be dumb enough to purchase these sorts of goods at a time like this? 3. God is playing a dirty trick. As God is a great and holy being, and everything He does has a purpose, I find this option fairly unlikely as well. 4. Everything I'm saying is a load of crap and God has decided to reveal one of the witches. I find this unlikely for a few reasons. One, it is not in the spirit of the game of... life for a host to reveal a witch so easily. Secondly, the evidence is far to blatant for it to be true; if I was not the merchant and somebody else was being accused of this, I would come to this conclusion as well. Lastly, I of course know that I'm not a heretic. Now, I know how the evidence looks at first glance, but if we are to get through this together, we must all learn to think logically, like I demonstrated yesterday. In the end it is up to the rest of you to interpret the information in a clear and logical manner. Anyway, from what I can see, I do think that this whole thing of new items is trying to subtly remind us of that clue we left off in day one. Who bought those goods, and for what use? That's what I want to know. Moving on to other matters, let us now take a look a this thing about Miguel. This has me in a bit of a pickle. Miguel has clearly stated that he attempted to kill Alexander, but as a citizen and not as a witch. I think I can believe this, he has said it openly, knowing that we might react by condemning him. However, that leaves the question of the witches. Why have they not killed anyone yet, or even attempted to kill anyone? Never before have I heard of a game... of life... in which the witches cannot kill. What is up with that? I to find it unlikely that they can convert people each night, so what's going on? This is what is confusing me, that if Miguel is a citizen who can kill, where is the crazy knife-wielding heretic in the scheme of things? I am more than a little worried about this, I fear there is something going on that we do not know of nor understand, it is things like that that can get us all killed. Alexander, I think your test is a perfect plan, as it should hopefully prove Miguel's allegiance no matter what happens with the night actions. The more people we can confirm as innocent the better, I say. My only problem is, who are we supposed to ask him to attempt to kill? I don't much like the idea of that bit, as there isn't enough evidence against anyone yet, in my eyes, to justify possible murder. We wouldn't want him to kill an innocent, as that would not only break one of the commandments, but would also leave us one down. In truth, I am more than a little stuck over this point. So what do the rest of you make of the current situation? Has anyone seen something I've missed?
  8. Hey Nannan, I didn't know you'd signed up. It's good to have you aboard, your creations will fit in perfectly with our crazy lot. Hope you enjoy yourself, and I'm looking forward to see lots of tentacled creations floating around the forms.
  9. This is really great SlyOwl. I love how you've sloped the plates to create a feeling of landscaping, and you have used a lot of different parts in some ingenious ways. The dreagle is awesome, really creative use of parts there to make a really neat animal. I love it. I was considering making an entry for this, but I don't think I will now. I'll save myself for the CCCVI.
  10. Well there you have it, most definitely not the sort of thing to be expected of nobles then, let alone anyone! Charles, you must be centuries ahead of our time, and that is scary. I don't suppose your a time traveller? If you are, then you most certainly are a witch. Jokes aside, we don't appear to be getting anywhere. It seems we will have to wait for Miguel to say something before we can even think of coming to some sort of decision. Anyone want a cup of this cheap coffee while we wait?
  11. Thanks for a great review, now I want this set even more! Even if it does come available, it is very unlikely it will ever reach NZ... Ah well, I can always hope.
  12. Mr. Mandalorian's one was better. Very funny, birthday bashing is, as I said before, so much fun. But it's even funnier when it's Hinckley getting bashed. Love the elephant, that was unexpected.
  13. Well, it's not really something you would expect of a noble in the (er, what century are we in? 18th? 19th?) 18-19th century, is it? Besides, he's meant to be married. Then again, who am I to know what nobles get up to together? Anyway, back to what we were discussing. I find it very interesting that the Inquisitor was unable to find out Miguel's allegiance. I think there's something up with that man. He is clearly up to something at night, the question is, is what he is doing good or bad? What do you have to say about yourself Miguel?
  14. No, I don't think that's true either, but it was worth mentioning as an option. Well, we can always hope that this is true, can't we? It's just not very likely... You know, from that second painting, it almost looks like Philip could be staring at your megablocks Charles. Now that's a scary thought. Moving on, did anybody find out anything of any use last night? Or are we bereft of clues? If so, perhaps I can ask a question, as there is something that I feel hasn't been cleared up yet. What I want to know is, why was Miguel late yesterday? Clearly something is up with that. We know the reason for the other two, but Miguel has managed to keep a low profile this whole time. I want to know what's up with that. I'm not normally one for asking to many questions, I normally just look at the facts, but this is something I really want cleared up. Other than that, I'm a little stuck. I can't see the Charles-Alexander thing going anywhere fast, and the only other leads we had were for some people who possibly bought suspicious goods in day 1. But there really isn't much on that So, what do the rest of you think? Has any one else spotted something I've missed?
  15. Haha, so I do! That's really funny, because I hadn't even noticed. Silly me. But your right, why would I have a witches hat? Let me think... Firstly, I don't appear to have any control over what I import, as shown by my lack of coffee. I really needed that finely ground stuff, Bernard only sold the cheap stuff. Ah well. Anyway, one reason I can think of for having a witches hat on sale is that if somebody buys it, we'll have a very likely suspect! Oh who am I kidding, I don't have a clue... Although, perhaps it is a clue of some sort. You'll remember in day 1 that somebody bought some suspicious items. Perhaps this hat is a sign from above that is reminding us of those old clues that we might have forgotten? It might be worth looking into, we don't really have anything else to go off yet. Now, why did your "informant", if you want to call him that, fail? I am presuming it was because some witch decided to block his night action. That sounds most likely to me. That or the person he was after was elsewhere at the time. Who were you trying to investigate? Perhaps it will help us to know, so we can question that person and find out where they were...
  16. Hey, where the hell's my coffee! God damn it, I ran out day's ago! Now what am I supposed to do, with no bloody coffee! Oh wait, do you think anyone would mind if I, ah, "borrow" Bernard's coffee supply? He is dead after all. Well, from what happened last night, it is clear that either the witches were keeping low, Bernard was the only witch that could kill, or somebody thwarted them. Whatever it was, it's great to see that nobody was killed. Now, I am very glad that my conclusion yesterday was right, we got our first heretic, and we haven't lost a single innocent life yet. Go us! Now that we know that Bernard was a heretic, we can confirm a few things: 1. The Inquisitor was telling the truth, which means that he can investigate people by using Martinus. This means that it is very likely that both are innocent towns people. 2. We need to figure out what to do now... Mr. Inquisitor, did you discover anything last night? It doesn't appear that anyone is hurt, but perhaps you learnt something? Did anyone else learn anything? Any information right now would be great. One other thing I want to know, is what the hell is up with Philip? Does he have a bad back, or does he just have a fascination with Joan's dress? It seems a bit weird for a noble to be so blatant... Or perhaps it could be linked back to something Charles was talking about yesterday, how these two seemed to be acting closely together. Joan, I don't suppose your having an affair?
  17. That's looking really nice, keep it up! I can tell it's going to be a stunner once it's finished. I particularly like the roof on the tower, really nicely done.
  18. It was a joke, I'm going to have to wait a while before I make any big orders. Especially with the exchange rate as it is.
  19. He's just arrived and he's already criticizing the host. I love it! Welcome to the game ImperialScouts, I hope you enjoy yourself while your here! EDIT: Oh, and Trexxen you nutter. Well played! Even I was starting to doubt my decision towards the end there, you did a very good job of trying to convince us of how innocent you were, even after you had been condemned. Hopefully you'll have better luck next game, you just have to hope you end up on the winning side and not with the scum. Mafia ON!
  20. Sorry for the double post. I just realized that Labour Weekend equals 20% off sales, so I quickly nipped down to my local Toyworld and grabbed the 10184 Town Plan. Finally it is mine! Anyway, like I said, I got 20% off, and it was already being sold at 70NZD off the S@H price, so I am very pleased with my purchase. Hooray for sales, we don't get them enough here in NZ. Right, well I'm pretty much broke now, so I better go make a huge Bricklink order. Man I love being a Lego addict...
  21. "The end is nigh, we're all going to die!". Unsheathing his fake plastic sword, he ran valiantly towards...
  22. I got the Limited Edition Silver weapons pack, the zombie pack, the new world at war pack, and a few extras. In total, 55USD worth, which worked out at just under 100NZD. Man this global economic thing sucks. I also made an order of some new BrickForge items, including some special pieces only available to special people (). That was expensive to, even if it was only a small order. I think this economic thing is going to cause me some problems, because I'm such a shop-a-holic. Ah yes, same here. I can't wait for it to arrive.
  23. It looks to me like the colours have been reversed, that is, there is black where the gold would be, and gold where the black would be. I think this happened every now and then, I'm pretty sure there are some reverse-print black falcons floating around...
  24. Ha, fantastic! Birthday bashing ON! Don't we all just love to see Hinck in pain? Ah, good fun.
  25. Happy Birthday Hinck! I hope you have a great one! Did you get my present? I had to search high and low for that ice-cube tray, but I got it, especially for you. Enjoy!
