Ahoy mateys! When I saw this contest I knew that my only option was me beloved Armada Flagship. My parents got me this ship for my 12th birthday many moons ago. It has a special place in my heart despite its... interesting color scheme. Since the old two-tone ship hulls are long discontinued I decided to make my own out of plates and snot construction. My goal with this new hull was to make something around the same size as the original but with space below the waterline for hauling treasures. The new plate-based construction gives the same floor space at the bottom but as it tapers out towards the gun deck it ends up being 4 plates wider than the original. I plan to build this irl once my budget allows. I hope to reuse my original cloth sails from 6280, but since they are not modeled in stud.io little white clouds will have to do instead haha.
I made the cabin and forecastle as tall as I could to maintain the dip in the middle of the ship where the single cannon would be.
At the bow you can see how the plates change directions three times. I prototyped this with real lego before building digitally and it is remarkably strong, no technic needed!
The new and improved armament boasts 6 small caliber guns on each side. This is not some warship armed to the teeth, but at least now it can hold its own against the Barracuda.
The captains cabin decked out in gold. This is the spot I decided it was best to sneak in some red from the original color scheme.
The figurehead, I had always envisioned the original as the head of a sea monster.
Inside the cabin is not much room but a HUGE improvement over the zero interior space on the original.
And of course the hold is filled with Spanish treasure!

Thanks!
@Mister Phes Can you add this to the entries index?
