  1. At least this year's flagship set is not a car...last year both largest sets were cars, I bet next year will be the same with 1:8 car and another car or two
  2. Perhaps. EC230 was a barebone. If level of detail would be similiar to 42100 (hidraulic hoses and other decorations) - it Could be possible.
  3. I made scale comparisson between EC230 and EC500. Given the piece count I think it might be the same scale to EC230.
  4. Yeah, but 8043 has only 1100+ parts. 1200 pieces is another 100 bucks. So it may be similar in value, but let's wait some confirmations regarding on what is included in 42215. Personally for me it could be hard to justify spending 400 euros for another excavator (I have all heavy duty technic flagships starting with 8043). It better won't have the old pieces for tracks and finally introduce either new pieces or recoloured Cat dozer parts :)
  5. With 19 sets per year it does not look like Technic is going to the drain. I would suggest the opposite, Technic is selling like never before - thanks to the cars
  6. Porsche was fast with a direct (?) drive. Gear down the motors and I suppose torque should be sufficient
  7. On the other hand, why it can't have two new hubs for 399 euros if one hub+900 parts is 179 euros (porsche)? 42146 initial price was 449 euros, but after delays it went up to 679 (size and rnd tax perhaps).
  8. 399 euros for 2300+ pieces... It is way less compared with 42146 679 euros. So perhaps only one Hub. On the other hand, Cat dozer had one hub but 1500 pieces more. I have mixed emotions about the 42215
  9. Yeah, pls not be a car. But I have a feeling that 42214 will be 1:10 car
  10. 170 euros for 900+ pats is not cheap. Anyway, I can still buy control+ technic hub at lego.com. Some powered up elements are sold out or on sale, but there is no support for conspiracy that control+ was taken down quitely. Three sets are available to be purchased, parts are on sale or regular price.
  11. Charging two hubs via USB is also not the most user friendly or common solution. E.g. mould king has USB Hub with six output ports.
  12. That's some nice wishful thinking, but if excavator will be a flagship I hope it would have one hub and gearbox. Not two hubs and 7 motors. Arm and claw itself require 4 functions (two axis of motion for the arm, open of the claw and rotation of the claw).
  13. For me it looks that the next 1:10 car will be Fast and Furious Nissan Skyline GTR. It is 18+ set and piece count does match 1:10 scale. 1410 pieces for much simpler bodywork compared to Porsche's 911 with 1600+ pieces.
  14. Good point, but 139 dollar is too low for 1:10. It is price of Ford GT scale car which was also 18+
  15. Nah, I bet it will be 1:10 scale car, successor for Peugeot LeMans 24h car
  16. Good news, today's leaks are June releases. As I mentioned before, leaks for.all themes are missing expensive sets. So there should be few more sets in August wave. Source: legoleak Reddit sub, message from moderator.
  17. It would be strange if we won't get 2800-4000 pieces construction vehicle as a flagship anymore. Why ? Because the last flagship - 42146 was the most expensive flagship ever, with two hubs, so there should definitely be a demand for such sets, because Lego are doing their research before releasing sets. Just give me a decent heavy duty flagship and my money is yours ,TLG :) I have spare euros since no Technic purchase was made this year.
  18. We did not get construction flagship set in 2024. It was already bi-yearly concept (2019 r9800, 2020 Volvo hauler, 2021 Cat D11, 2022 nothing, 2023 Liebherrr, 2024 nothing, 2025 nothing ? ).
  19. No flagship set is weird. On the other hand, leaks for other themes also don't have expensive sets.
  20. Another car, I can't get more excited than this. I bet it will be the same scale as supra to pump the sales, a lot of people will have to buy both now
  21. There is a difference between prototyping and product of a mass production.
  22. Leaks for 2025 summer sets are already flowing for the other themes. I guess Technic should be leaked soon too.
  23. It eitiher would be a disaster for a warranty, reliability or such system would have to be precisely manufactured from metal = luxurious. In other words, that is impossible. We can't see air leaks, we would see hydraulic leaks. Pneumatics is top technology for plastic toys. We don't want to pay 2000 euros for a set?
  24. Not mention amazing B model of 42055. Number of sets increased, but total number of models decreased since there are no more B models.
  25. People want it. It sells because people want to have licensed sets. The fuzz for the upcoming 1:8 supercar set was something this year. Can you imagine such hype for an unlicensed supercar set?
