I don't know if this matters but MandR actually posted the leaks on his channel and he's very very adament that it's not a joke too. IDK if he's fallen for it too though. Or if it's co-ordinated.

I agree there, if Promobricks wanted to be funny, massively enraging everyone with a $100 Young Jedi Adventures set and then being revealing it to be a joke is better. It leaves everyone with a feeling of "phew, that's a relief." If and when the current joke is revealed to be a joke a lot of people are gonna be dissappointed. Better to anger and then soothe than it is to to get everyones hopes up and then rip it away.

IIRC they actively said that the figures in the sets would seem like an april fools joke in their original article. IDK if that leans towards fake or real but they did say it.

I don't care as long as he eventually ends up in a set cheaper. It's one thing to pay a premium to get early access to him. It's another to fully lock him behind the set.

While i'm not endorsing the gunship leak. Have you head of a little battlepack set called the UCS Gunship? it also did not have any pilots.

I actually wouldn't be surpised if something about these leaks was real and after the fact they'll be like "No no it was all a joke BUT the Gunship/332ndClones/Ghost/Whatever actually is coming lol"

The SERIOUS issue is that now if there is a Gunship this year, nobody is gonna believe any of the leaks until it's officially revealed lol.

Promobricks posted that 75354 was a Republic Gunship with Padme, Palpatine, Fox and 2 Shock Troopers saying "this is not a joke." That's such a mean april fools joke. That makes me sad. They also said that the swamp speeder would have Vaughn and 3x 332nd Troopers. It's a joke. A very cruel and mean joke.

I found the UK version, it's like £9 ($11) Think i'll pass lol.

BUT that's according to a leaker who's been in hot water recently so don't take it as pure fact. Just thought it was interesting.

To avoid derailing the topic i'll just say that the 2020 AAT was such a weird set that my conspiracy theory is that they designed the 332nd Trooper for the Duel on Mandalore set but either massively gutted the set to be $20 or whatever it was and just flat refused to put so many desirable figures in such a cheap set(knowing Maul could sell it anyway) OR they made the duel on mandalore with the 332nd trooper in mind and had a meeting about how much money they could realistically get for the figure. With them deciding to cobble together a loosely related half-baked set at $40 that was sold almost exclusively on the merit of the 332nd Trooper since the other 3 figs in the set weren't unique. The set was half baked with an oversized turret and simple things like the side turrets being upside down that would have taken a second of QA to notice. It's just my assumption as to why such a wierd kinda mediocre set exists, it can't have been given the same love and care as other sets to have so many strange wrong-ness-ess. Making it seem suspiciously rushed IMO. Like they ripped the figs from another set and tried to get way more money for a figure they knew would be highly highly desired. I mean the swamp speeder having Commander Bly, Aayla Secura and 2x 327th Troopers at a really cheap price point seems almost TOO perfect for Lego to let it happen. When was the last PEEEEEEEEEERFECT lego star wars set? I can't think of one.

You're not wrong and I do recognise that lego sometimes just says "f it we ball" and makes the 2020 AAT (although ask me about my conspiracy on that set specifically.) I do think however that if we're trying to speculate on the contents of a set with any degree of accuracy it's best to lean towards "were these figs in a scene, episode or even movie with the thing" because for every Spider Droid featuring Commander Fox or AT-AP with coruscant guards, we do also get sets that do make sense like a Turbo Tank with Gree, Vos and Luminara or an AT-TE with Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex, a clone and that little baby hutt thing. While this is only like half the time, it's still easier to make a well reasoned speculation based off that logic. If we just say "well it could be anyone in that set really" then we're not speculating, we're wishlisting.

I'd live with that. If they are just making up mixed media (clone wars ship, rots characters) then I'd love if they'd do us a solid and throw in Commander Gree with the Yoda starfighter. He's less in-demand than other clone commanders but he's more interesting than wookies. Particularly Chewbacca who we see every year anyway, They could also put him in the speeder I guess. I do feel like 3 army builder clones (41st Elite corps regs and/or scouts) in a $25 set is a little TOO good to be true. So Luminara, Gree and 2x 41st Elite Clones would actually somehow be more realistic for the price point. IDC I'd still buy like 10 of them for a bunch of clones lol.
