  1. I am aware of who he is. However I still think you're jumping to conclusions. His posts are often unhelpful until he just decides to grace us with actual info. For all we know it's a bloody Darth Malak plushie GWP. Or worst of all... a brickhead.
  2. What renown did was quote Darth Malak. Jumping straight to "WE'RE GETTING MORE LEGO REVAN" seems to be hopium. That said, we had the Kotor remake stuff recently with all the trailers and stuff vanishing. Maybe Lego had some prototype sets to go along with that and now that Skeleton Crew is delayed and Kotor remake seemingly dead they decided to make the best of both situations? Either way i feel compelled to accumulate a lot of sith and republic troopers now.
  3. the issue with old dark red to me is more that it looks maroon next to the red on the new shock troopers.
  4. I hope one of the clone sets next year that are rumored to have Shock Troopers in them come with a nice set of bright red accessories (visors and antennae) because the old dark red visor and antenna look pretty ghastly on the new shock troopers and the grey certainly doesn't look right either. While we obviously (Or I guess more accurately i should say, PROBABLY) won't get this exact design for a heavy shock trooper from BF2 2017, I do still think the matching red looks way better than either dark red or grey. If you're gonna give us the ugly helmet holes lego, you could atleast do us a solid and include matching colour accessories cus right now my shock trooper helmets are ugly with AND without accessories. Luckily I have some spare macrobinoculars that look good on my two shock troopers but I can't have a whole platoon of just sniper clones.
  5. Now that justifier I'd buy But if they give you Carson Teva in a Ghost set, how are they going to sell you yet another X-wing in 2-3 years when Carson Teva inevitably becomes an inexplicably popular secondary character in The Mandoverse movie?
  6. I really feel like Lego should just bite the bullet and make a CMF star wars series(don't give me that hasbro myth) and make UCS sets have no figures. That way people that want figures, can get figures and people that don't care about figures, just get a good build.
  7. Yeah I'm not sure if they would actively downgrade a figure for a cheaper set. I can 100% see them upgrading a figure to put it in a more expensive set but I'm not sure if they'd bother to create a whole new figure with different arms just to say "ur poor lol" to anyone who buys the other set.
  8. I'm gonna be that one negative nancy and complain that it's actually not just any Venator as seen in clone wars or revenge of the sith. It just HAD to specifically be modelled after the Resolute, a venator with a somewhat unique paint job. It's a good set but it honestly reduces the coolness for me by atleast 60% knowing it's just The Resolute. I would have preferred a normal venator so I could have had it be literally any other venator we see in the show or ROTS. I'm not even 100% sure Phase 2 Rex would have ever been aboard The Resolute. It was destroyed in season 3. Nitpicks I know, but I'm not gonna drop $650 on something I don't consider perfect now am i? I'll probably just buy it at a slight discount on the sets way out for FOMO reasons. I certainly doubt we're going to see ANOTHER UCS Venator with the standard paint job at any point in my lifetime.
  9. Always remember that in 2016 Lego made the only Star Wars The Clone Wars 2003 set 13 years after the show for no apparent reason. You never know what they might do. But yeah, Revan is very unlikely.
  10. Now patterns are patterns until they're not with Lego but it is worth noting that pretty much all the dedicated "polybags" (not to be confused with the magazine gifts) have ended up being sets that same year. So maybe an AAT in 2024? They do seem to be doing some more Ep1 stuff this year so maybe it's the return of the Tan AAT? It would be unusually soon for a remake of that nature but that would be pretty cool. Now as much as I would prefer a blue one, I wonder if we'll see an MTT to go with it? That would be a hell of a summer wave for Trade Federation fans if so.
  11. According to Falconfan's Instagram these are brickheadz. I got excited thinking they were bringing back the figure packs like The Clone Command station because those were also in the 40-XYZ line.
  12. Store exclusives as in "Exclusive to Target" or "Exclusive to Walmart" or do you mean Lego Exclusives? also, source?
  13. Attenzione Bri'ish Lego Star Wars collectors. The Coruscant Guard Gunship is a Smyths Toys Exclusive here in the UK (along with Lego obviously). Also you can actually pre-order from Smyths it if you're into that.
  14. If it *is* the octuptarra droid (specifically the smaller ROTS variant) then it could well be a 212th Battlepack lol. I mean i'm not against that if they fix the helmet print. Slightly annoying that I already own 43 of the wrong ones though lmaooooo. And yeah I know the battlepack probably won't be related to any scene. If it WAS though it could also be a Galactic Marine battlepack. That would be the most out of nowhere clone unit lol. But we also live in a timeline with non-canon 187th legion, a battlefront battlepack, an-on-paper-perfect clone battlepack like the 332nd pack and a coruscant guard gunship coming out. We live in strange times. Also, unrelated. Does anyone know of any good places I'd be able to look for instructions and part lists on making a white version of the 2023 Gunship?(either now, or just somewhere to keep an eye on for it when the red one comes out) I saw a moc of it on reddit and it's quite possibly the hottest thing i've ever seen. If I were married, it'd be causing marital problems.
  15. Just out of curiosity @Renown why do you drip the info like this? We know you know what's in the set so what's the deal with the mystery of it?
  16. I have some real concerns about the rumours for that Upcoming Tantive 4 Boarding set. It's rumored to be $50, come with 2 stormies, 2 fleet troopers and darth vader. BUT It's not a diorama? So it's got 1 more figure than the Dark Trooper Attack it's apparently modelled after but for $15 more? So for $50 there's no way that's gonna be an efficient way to army build Rebels or Storm Troopers but it's also not a Diorama? so it's gonna be a playset with... a hallway? with 5 figures. This seems like it benefits nobody. Army Builders are being massively overcharged, 18+ Diorama collectors aren't gonna get the quality of a normal diorama, and the kids that might buy it are getting a $50 white hallway? Hopefully the rumors are wrong but so far that certainly doesn't sound like it's gonna be set of the year lol. It could be a nice little Lego Star Wars starter pack mind you, you get Vader, Storm Troopers and Rebels with a bunch of star wars pieces to make various star wars mocs out of but for $50? I don't knooooooooooow. I feel like just waiting a year and a bit and bricklinking those figures and the actual pieces you need would be more convienient and cost effective.
  17. Honestly helmet holes are actually a symptom of the real problem in my opinion. It's not that lego is too dumb or lazy to put the holes in the right place, it's that lego is too lazy or cheap to make a new visor for P2 clones. If they had made a new visor with a little curve which leads down into the actual position of the ear bulb (i made that term up) and then had the new visor piece still sit above the eyeline but start below it at the ears, then we'd have much better looking clones WITH the customisability. It wouldn't look perfect because the actual visors kinda just rest in the grooves of the P2 helmet. The new visor would look slightly innaccurate but it'd be better for the other 99% of clones that don't need visors. The holes being in the actual ear hole would be better for the range finder and flashlight pieces too. The macrobinocular would need to be changed too but that was made after the helmet holes anyway so we could assume lego would have done a similar thing to the macrobinoc as the visor. But alas, Lego is very attached to their 14 year old visor design and decided to compromise quality to save literally like 2 minute of effort. And for what it's worth, the old visor piece is genuinely horrendous. It's too long in one dimension, and it's too short in another dimension. It's supposed to curve down from it's heighest point and then the side pieces are supposed to rest on the P2's chubby cheeks.
  18. Honestly considering how much Lego wants to stick to printed kamas and MOST DEFINITELY heard us complaining about it, AND that they make capes for other lines AAAAAAND that they still make fabric capes for star wars characters like vader. It leads me to one real conclusion. The lego designers have bad taste, and genuinely just printed kamas looks better. Anyway, I'll always recommend third party companies for kamas and pauldrons. They're much much cheaper than dealing with the bricklink hive of worm eating, diseased goblins who think an official kama is worth like $7. They're generally better quality than the lego ones anyway.
  19. I was looking at the prices for the 2008 Gunship (I don't like the 2013 or the 2023 ones and refuse to elaborate) and the Republic Dropship w/ AT-OT and I got incredibly sad. (BNISB 2008 Gunship is like $800, and Dropship can go for like $1800+) and while I know Lego apparently doesn't consider the aftermarket when making sets. It would be VERY nice of them to consider those in particular lol. I do appreciate that many of the more die-hard lsw fans in here would probably gag at the thought of more Clone sets but a remake of a classic gunship (preferably double-doored but i'd settle for the annoying bubble turret one too) and the Dropship, Naturally only after the current dumb red one is gone would be very nice (The current one doesn't even make sense, the coruscant guard very clearly DONT use it on coruscant. It's for diplomatic immunity, it's a negotiations vessel dammit. Are you negotiating with the drive through attendee at Space Mcdonalds?) As for what those sets would actually look like figures wise? I honestly don't care but I can think up something wishlisty for the topic. I personally would like to see more of a focus on Jedi, CIS and perhaps named clones in the Republic sets. Leave the troopers for battlepacks. Also since we are fairly sure an updated super battle droid is coming, and that opens up the possibility for updated commandos, tacticals and magnaguards, i'll consider that in my list too. Also my pricing is more realistic to what lego would actually do, not what i would actually want. I'm thinking: (Spoilerised to take up less space on this one page lol, although I suppose there are Clone Wars spoilers in here)
  20. I spent like 3 hours repairing my regular AT-AT after it fell of a high shelf. If I did this to a UCS one i think i'd just bury it and buy a new one.
  21. I stopped reading here. You're coping. It's pink. Look at his legs. Look at his chest. If you try and tell me those are the same colour, you are a working on behalf of the lego group, you are an agent of Hans Legomannenstein himself. There is literally no other reason to outright lie on a corporations behalf. Nobody enjoys the taste of shoe leather THAT much to lie that badly for free. Do they have your family? Do we need to get you police assistance? You are simply acting in bad faith if you see a figure that poorly printed AND THEN DELIBERATELY FALSELY ADVERTISED IN LIFESTYLE IMAGES (they've whitened his torso and head in the official lifestyle pics) and STILL defend lego for that. Actual psyop behaviour. Like you are a Lego employee. It's that simple. You will never convince me otherwise now. At the very minimum you hold shares in the company or something.
  22. Look, he's a little stubby plastic figure who is as wide as his arm is long, i don't care about a little innaccuracy here and there I mean that guy has no neck. One plate of armor is red instead of white? minor mistake in the grand scheme of things... But the pink print... that's just low quality, poor production, industrial incompetence. If you showed that to someone who's never even seen fox, even they'd see it's poor quality because the white doesn't match his legs. Things I'd expect out of 1999 Lego, not 2023 Lego. Lazy design is annoying but expected, but outright low quality print? that's just insulting because the designers can at least feign stupidity like when that one gormless chimp called the republic gunship an original trilogy ship and made up some nonsense about clone pilots but they've gone out of their way to photoshop their lifestyle images to not show the faded pink printing of Fox. That's not stupity, that's not laziness. That's downright malicous false advertising. Like the 212th helmet but 2x worse because it affects pretty much 70% of the detail of the figure (the helmet and torso) Now you combine that with the pathetic printed kama, the innaccurate design elements (i.e his chest plate) and you have a figure that can VERY well be called "butchered" I mean we pretty much have a clone trooper figure where the only part of him that isn't either poorly printed or incorrectly designed is the foot printing. THE FEET. All that's left of Fox that i can tolerate looking at. And I say that as a pretty lenient fan of clone troopers, I quite happily bought many of the 212th troopers because I didn't mind how the figure looked despite the botched helmet but Commander Fox here is just pure trash from the ankles up. I mean look at the absurd quality of the printing on that new marvel CMF line. THEY HAVE PRINTING ON THE SIDE OF THEIR LEGS. I didn't even know lego could do that. Then look at commander fox's in hand pics. Lego star wars needs to get at least one guy to do some quality assurance. Quite frankly if Lego's big bosses decided to literally fire every single person in the lego star wars department who does ANYTHING for minifigures and replace them all. We'd probably get better product. Especially if the person designing the fantastic $15 boba fett mech's figure, the new bo-katan or the inquisitors is the same person designing the clone troopers because that's just malice at that point. They're CHOOSING to not try.
  23. Have you actually seen the in-hand pics? his torso and helmet printing is pink because lego is too cheap or too stupid to figure out a way to print white on red properly. I'm leaning towards cheap because I'm sure there's some $5 CMF pack for the chronicles of glubjorp dingleberry or some other second rate license lego puts more effort into than star wars which features a figure with white printed on red perfectly fine. I wouldn't have cared as much if they had ALSO butchered his legs by making them red and printing white on them. Then I could kinda ignore it as "thats just what fox looks like in lego" but when you can see his bright white shins contrasting with his pink chestplate it's maddening.
  24. Update to something i said a few days ago. LEGO Star Wars Spider Tank 75361 IS In-fact exclusive to The Entertainer here in the UK (and the lego store) I really didn't think they were a big enough retailer to get an exclusive, much less a Mandalorian Season 3 exclusive. So if you're in the UK and looking for that set, other than Lego themselves, your only option is The Entertainer. Edit: You can also get most "exclusives" from shopdisney.co.uk but certainly don't expect any discounts from them either.
  25. Well you can always have them try and fight Windu and Yoda.... No but seriously thank goodness for this upcoming battlepack. I've personally bought a bunch of AATs, spider droids, super battle droids and battle droids so my mocs and displays are at least populated with some CIS enemies but I'm sure kids were having to get more creative than they really needed to lol. That said, lego really ought to try and include more Jedi, CIS and Sith into their clone wars sets. We haven't had a Dooku or Ventress in foreeeeeeeeeeever. In a perfect world each non-battlepack clone wars set should really include a jedi, a notable CIS minifig (like ventress or something), a couple clones and a couple of droids. Especially if that's gonna be like a $150 set. I can understand why the 2022 AT-TE didn't come with Obi-wan (if it did about 99% of the sets that year would have included him) and I can understand why a coruscant guard gunship comes with neither droids nor a jedi (and it was certainly made up for with Palps and Pads) but I really hope moving forward Lego does try to diversify the figure selection of larger sets. For example, AND THIS IS NOT A WISHLIST, IT IS AN EXAMPLE, MODERATORS. If they made a Turbo Tank and put at it at a similar price point as the AT-TE, I'd hope they go more down the route of including Luminara, Gree, Quinlan, a couple of clones and a few super battledroids rather than going the route of Gree, 3x clones, 1x clone gunner and 3x battledroids. We can always just have the 41st Elite Corps appear in a battlepack or similarly cheap set. We don't need to fill the actual sets with those figs. A couple sure, but just put them in a battlepack and give us more notable named characters in the actual sets. That's what I hope they're doing with the coruscant guard gunship. 2 shock troopers in the actual gunship and then some more in either (or both) the upcoming battlepack or grogu's escape.
