You know thinking about it, there's no $35 set rumored. Isn't that the price of a jedi starfighter usually? (I use UK prices so im not 100%) maybe the $40 Set is a jedi starfighter of some kind with an anniversary figure to bump up the price like they did with the storm trooper pack in 2019? It's hard to tell if they are charging extra for anniversary figs because the other two sets are not things we see at the same price every year.

The fact that the same people who said there was going to be a Z-95 headhunter are now also saying there's going to be a temple makes me seriously doubt both. I have to imagine some kind of large clone set and a jedi star fighter are also coming as they seem almost like yearly traditions at this point (especially with what that interview said about jedi starfighters). I mean at this rate, is 2024 just going to be Prequel sets and Mando Season 3 sets with like 2 OT and a skeleton crew set? I personally wouldn't complain as prequels are my favourite era but I certainly don't believe it yet lmao.

I think you're kiving Koska Reeves too much credit by assuming she's not just a generic character. She's just a generic blue mandalorian with the female face configuration on the helmet. They can call her koska reeves all they want but it doesn't change the fact that i'm gonna have an army of like 25 of her. It's like when they used to put black accessories on a generic P1 clone and call it a "clone commander" like yeah sure lego, wink wink, that's definitely what i'm using that as.

Just saw a leak on instagram for a $40 Z-95 Clone Starfighter 75388 for august 2024. Apparently Bly and the 327th are involved? Holy moly, big if true.

To clarify: Gunmetal is fine, i bought a bunch of whatever the colour Mando currently has. The benefit will be that with there now being even more of those jet packs on the market, available in such cheap sets, the jetpacks should be way cheaper on the secondary market. I paid something like $3 per jetpack because I was fairly certain that the Clone battlepack probably wouldn't have jetpacks (and if it did, they'd be white) and I assumed that we would get only one battlepack in 2024, but it seems like they are actually moving back to two per year. One in each major wave. Also, you gotta love Lego taking a scene that pretty clearly had exactly 3 praetorians, and then making that set with only 2. Cus now you're gonna buy two of that set, and you're gonna have one left over. (Keeping in mind that most of the customer base probably doesn't know what bricklink is) I had a bucket list idea to buy one of those clone trooper vs droids battlepacks every week for a year just to see the amazing amount of figs i end up with (Yes, i know that probably means 50+ of the pack. I know it's insane, but also consider that at least i'm not buying every single one of them i can get my hands on day 1 like SOME people did with the 501st pack, and as for the cost, 99% of my lego expenditure is figures anyway, that's my personal fav part of lego, and to my mind a set that has plain white clones, super battle droids and B1s is pretty much the ultimate battlepack) The hilarious outcome here is that i'm going to have at least 50 shock troopers that i don't care all that much about, not accounting for the ones i'll end up with just from buying the BARC speeder sets for the actual speeders, and I will be able to fit like 6 of them in my gunship lmao. I'm gonna stick them to the sides like little reactive plates for the ship.

You've got a set that lets you build armies of shock troopers, plain phase 2 clones, battle droids, super battle droids. A set that lets you army build mandalorian imperial super commandos and generic blue mandalorians. A set that lets you army build rebel fleet troopers and storm troopers (although you'll want to wait for a discount on that set for sure) On top of that you'll still have the 501st battlepack, the 332nd Battlepack and the AT-TE (for half the year, and only at discounted prices obviously) and whatever troopers (if any) end up in the Grogus Escape set. That's a lot of ways to fill up some baseplates lmao. That pilot luke mech is gonna need to have dual molded legs or that is gonna be one of the worst selling sets out there. It has to be the most easily accessible figures since the B1 battle droid surely? There is what? 4 sets with (the pilot version of) him in it right now?

Aside from the rex though i am excited to get some more easily accessible 501st blue bricks without having to bricklink or pick-a-brick that's always nice.

The magazines aren't made BY lego. They're made by a european company for lego and presumably lego provides the figures and builds from excess stock. I would imagine that the company who currently makes those magazines might not have the resources to distribute to such a huge place like the USA, at least not yet. Whether that be because they don't have the personel and money to make that happen or literally just don't have the industrial might to produce that much stock. There may be other countless political reasons as well, perhaps the company can't even secure access to the US market very easily due to american trade policy? Maybe a competing US publisher has made securing distribution next to impossible? It's all speculation really, the company that publishes and makes those magazines isn't some huge lego-tier company. They just make/sell magazines. You'd probably have to rock up to their HQ and literally ask their boss why they don't do it lol. TL;DR AMERICA BIG, COMPANY SMALL, OCEAN LARGE, MOVING STUFF HARD. POLITICS COMPLICATED.

Hardcore fans largely don't like disney stuff, harcore fans make up 90% of pointless internet discourse but like 1% of the actual fanbase. I wonder if the Revan quote means we're either getting him as just a bonus to a completely random set (like how Vader came with an AT-RT) or if we're getting some set remasters like the imperial dropship, or again that AT-RT? I had completely forgotten the possibility of the anniversary figures and remade sets.

Lego will probably keep the purge troopers for if they want to do a somewhat low effort easy money battlepack in the future (once clones have dried up) 1 Purge Trooper, 1 Death Trooper, 2 Shadow Troopers badabing, badaboom ye have a battle pack that everyone will buy in incredible numbers despite just being a reskinned airborne clone, a remade death trooper and 2 black versions of current storm troopers, which i am going to be very very snooty about as someone who can give you about 15 seperate battle pack ideas i'd buy 100 of that all just involve taking 3 clone helmets and giving me them in different colours. I mean these OT fans will just buy aaaaaaaaaanything smugface for legal reasons, that is a joke
