  1. Clearly all other fans have better vision than us! But I think the list of Minifigures isn't from the survey leak, but another source that also provided a price and set number, both of which haven't changed in any other rumors: I'm very impressed anyone can identify a tax collector in the 10 pixels from the leak.
  2. I think with green legs/dress slope it could work. Then the torso looks less like a vest and more kirtle. The kirtle would still be sleeveless, which is odd; I don't think you can swap out the arms for green and make it look like long sleeves for a high-priced set. But if we do get another of that torso, I might modify it like that. Or just make that torso a Forestman with my extra hats. For my medieval village display, I use a lot of atypical torsos, so that it is more RenFest/Game of Thrones clothing then historical accuracy for a precise year/location. So princesses, Harry Potter robes and dresses, Lucy's Western dress, and Rococo CMF all together! I am probably going to make it true RenFest and just plopping tourists in modern dress and selfie sticks.
  3. You can also manage your collection on Rebrickable - the free version has most things you need. It has charts on your collection; you can create want lists of parts and link them to BrickLink; compare sets to figure out which pieces are unique or you need to recreate a set... The spreadsheet/stats part of the hobby is part of the fun for some of us!
  4. And in a City-based set to eat the grass! Friends could do a goat yoga studio, but use a different mold for cuter face.
  5. BricksUp UK lists it as April 1, a surprisingly definite date as other rumors have a broader range of March/April. April 1 is reasonable. Months away from reveal images, so unless there's another leak, months more for this forum to speculate on factions!
  6. On all the discussions of the knights' colors in the leak image, is it possible that color changes in the surveys are a way to trace leakers? For example if the leaked image has these colors in the minifigure or accessories, Lego would know it came from this batch of survey participants. Lego insiders have said Lego identified the leaker, so they may be using sophisticated techniques to identify and to quell leaks. The leak image could also have different colors or torsos than final to test market variations as well as to test the market on price. If a blue and gray version of the set received overall higher prices, maybe they sell it instead of the green and red set that happened to be in the survey that leaked. Just thinking about how much to infer from the image because the survey leak was such an anomaly. It's still fun to speculate and zoom in on the pixels!
  7. Okay, I have no idea in Lego canon or in real history, but what do tax collectors wear as one is rumored in MTS?? I'm assuming the minifigure will have gold coins, a checklist, a pen/plume, and a bag? The Robin Hood stories are going to be so fun. Hopefully there's a debtors prison, and the crook/Forestmen can break a poor cheesemonger out of it.
  8. Hmm, if they meant that set, I don't think there's any rumors of a magical element so far in the upcoming Town Square where a wizard hat would fit. It's all realistic professions - cheesemaker, etc. I'm out of the loop on Disney 100, but was there nothing for sorcerer's apprentice? That hat could be used for both figures (not Mickey as he needs ears). Any meaning in the old series 18 CMF red dragon as well? He runs around the table right before the plume appears, and it seems interesting that they use an older CMF rather than a recent CMF (23 for the green version). Red seems to be a theme!
  9. On the Instagram post, another theory is that a Red Dragon is rumored to be coming to Creator line Jan 1 (31145), so perhaps the plume is representative of that set. Even if that is true, it doesn't foreclose that Dragon Masters are still coming. D&D set is likely to have a green dragon, so not a reference to that I bet. Unless they're also role-playing too?
  10. Do you consider the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons set a different theme from the historical themes? D&D monsters tend to be more fantastical than traditional Castle, and it is coming under the Ideas banner. Dragon's Keep: A Journeys End is probably coming soon because they picked the winner in Jan 2023 and picked a cover designer in August 2023, but I don't see much discussion on that set on the historical themes topic.
  11. Nothing precise, but Brickclicker cited March or April. It doesn't seem that far away, and Viking Village, Indiana Jones, and soon Magisto GWP satisfy my need for historical themes in the meantime.
  12. I think so too. Next year we also are getting a small Creator dragon and the large GWP/set for D&D that is castle-like. The winning D&D idea has a stone castle with dungeon and witches' tower and a medieval building serving as a tavern. That will probably need to be released and retired before we get a real castle from the Castle theme.
  13. Agreed. I'm hoping someone makes a Rohan version. The pics are small but the longhouse may need to be lengthened a bit to fit 5-6 minifigures for the King Theoden scene. How to Train Your Dragon is a given, especially as Creator is bringing a cheap dragon next year.
  14. Definitely we don't get confirmation from Lego until a month before release for most sets. A few weeks ago there was additional information from Brickclicker that identified the price and piece count. So at least two pieces of information on it. There may also be a new practice of releasing remakes of old Lego sets, such as El Dorado this year and the rumored Lego Moments line, so that may also be suggestive. But yeah until Lego says, it is not guaranteed.
  15. I need Viking Village for a Medieval type village as well, but you have current options depending on your color scheme that I have thought about including in my medieval town. The Creator Castle has an option for a Medieval market village. Dreamzzz has a fantasy mini-village that is more market stalls, but some of the more radical colors can be subdued by removing some pieces. Creator Pirate Ship has a build that is an inn/tavern that could work in a Medieval era as well. Creator Viking Ship has a house build as well. Blacksmith is probably too rich for a peasant village, and next to the Creator Castle it suggests a middle class uprising. I've put my castle on books to suggest it is bigger. Or you could just wait for the Medieval Village coming next year! Price rumors are 240, so the priciest option, but it is rumoured that it can serve as 4 half buildings. It's not a direct remake with new jobs for the Minifigures and different color scheme. I prefer the old set's coloring, but this new set will be much more affordable.
  16. I'm hoping it doesn't resemble the Bricklink Winter Chalet. For some themes, notably Friends and City there are some very similar buildings released at the same time - grocery stores, sports events, etc. - but I would think Winter Village (and Modular) is one of the themes that gets a very different concept every year. At one event Lego stated they chose not to do a newspaper office for the Dec 2022 Modular because Marvel had one on sale at the same time, and so Lego does try to avoid cannibalizing sales for certain themes. The Bricklink Winter Chalet is a hotel and already has a winter theme. Because it sells differently (in advance and limited quantity), it won't cannibalize sales for Winter Village. But I doubt they would plan for those lines to overlap. The voting makes it unpredictable for Lego so maybe they will overlap because there can't be a plan for Bricklink? The other interpretation of Lodge is essentially a cabin, and this set could very easily cannibalize A Frame Cabin sales. To be unique, perhaps it's closer to the Fishing Store?
  17. FalconBricks claims October 1 release, which is pretty much the same as last year. I don't think last year we had leaks about the content until close to reveal either, so we may be speculating for all of Summer.
  18. I'm not sure they would do a Sweet Shoppe because it overlaps with Hogsmeade Village's. Those sets seem to be meant to display together. Then again Lego does a lot of overlap among themes, especially Friends and City. I would love a remake of the Winter Village as I think it fits a lot of audiences - theme park with the carousel, parks for city builders, medieval for the stalls, as well as Winter markets (popular in Europe). Here's my guesses: A place to take pics/meet Santa. It might be a smaller piece of a larger set, like a Department Store or Winter Markets. With all the It's a Wonderful Life references and Gringott's coming soon, how about a bank? Not as romantic, but that is where we all have to go to afford the holidays and Lego. And with thoughts of a performance venue, a large gazebo/bandstand (Rivendell but bigger), a school theater (like in Friends/Heartlake) for a Christmas pageant, or a concert venue for Nutcracker performance (like the Jazz Club in Modulars) could all work. Or we could have a parade like the Chinese New Year set this year. I hope Lego continues that concept in any theme as there's a lot of creative ways to get parts of floats moving as it is pulled along. City has a collection of arctic exploration, so maybe a North Pole set is likely to reuse some of the animals.
  19. I love that a translation from a Germanic language is stones :). In English it's bricks, and now I want to know what the whole world calls the building blocks. It does make me wistful for any ToD set and the sacred stones, but oh well. I just bought a used Creator Pirate Coaster that is going to get converted into the mine chase! The skull pass through works well, but I'll need to convert the ship to a water tower, the fort to a temple/palace, the shark cars to mine carts, and the octopus to perhaps the pile of insects that Willie had to bypass.
  20. Eh, I still think Lord of the Rings counts. No sets on Rings of Power, maybe new movies in the works, but random Brickheadz and 1 (with maybe more in the works) very expensive 18+ set. I kind of prefer how Indy theme is working out even if it's just these 3. Brickheadz are a niche market, and I would not want my only set option to be a $500 set(s). As for staying popularity of Indy, they're both attractions at both US Disney Parks; indeed some of the few non-animated IP to have its own experiences. Disneyland just did a refresh of its Indy attraction, which re-opened a few weeks ago.
  21. I looked too, and couldn't find anything. I did find it interesting that Hasbro just re-upped its Indy license last year and had a press release about it. LEGO has a license (else the three sets wouldn't be coming), but there's no information about that known license. The article from Licensee Global does quote LucasFilm that the license is largely for the "classic" films. So LEGO should be on the list if just for the three sets already on LEGO's website. Thus, I don't trust that list as to LEGO's license for DoD because it is clearly false for a license that is mostly for the classic films. If you want to be cynical about DoD sets, the fact that Lucasfilms wants to focus on the "classic" films does suggest an equal or greater number of sets from DoD as the "classic" (4 vs. now 3) is against the marketing campaign.
  22. JP T-Rex Breakout got billed as a one and done, right? It was a Target exclusive, 18+, and the first Lego set I think for the first movie. Yet, we are getting more sets a year later that are playsets across a range of ages. The 2023 wave was probably in the works when T Rex Breakout was announced. LoTR got a small wave this year (with a huge range of prices and styles!), but there are strong indications that another giant set is coming next year/fall even without Lego knowing how Rivendell was/is selling. Not saying it will happen for Indy, but it could.
  23. LEGO has an Indy license though, else we wouldn't get any sets. I doubt it is leftovers from the old license from the earlier release 15 years ago. Hasbro had to get a new agreement just for Indy last year - Hasbro License. And Promobricks somehow knew the number of sets for DoD - they didn't assume/guess 4, even if there's some logic they guessed the set numbers. Maybe they won't release, but the idea there were never DoD sets in the works seems contrary to what Promobricks knew.
