I think the hat is a reference to Beast who wore a brown trenchcoat and fedora in the original 90’s show. Also, I really don’t get the hate for Xavier. Besides Iceman, he’s probably my favorite of the figures included here. Yes, he’s purist. But the pieces they chose fit him perfectly.

THEY DID THE MEME!!! Iceman (probably my favorite out of all these figures) and Bishop both look great. Really pisses me off how close Gambit and Cyclops come to being great with the lack of dual molded legs being the one thing that holds back otherwise near-perfect figures. I look forward to seeing who is on that DoFP styled wanted poster.

Just so long as you don’t mind the overtly kiddie stylization, similar to the current Spider-Man and Friends minifigures.

I think this is true for most of the BtAS designs, but not all of them. Catwoman’s gray and black outfit is unique to the show as far as I’m aware. Penguin draws pretty heavily on Burton’s design. Riddler in gray pants is also unique to the show. I will also say the design for BtAS Arkham is kinda bland on the outside. We only ever get scenes of the interior. The exterior, it’s always just the shot of a giant gray/brown block up on a hill. If it does happen, I hope they’ll take some creative liberties and give it some additional character on the outside. 0% is not greater than 0%. 😝

Our favorite Gambit-based leaker(?) is saying 76329 is that 18+ Batman set and it’s Arkham Asylum, possibly based on BtAS. Seems like he’s just riding on palnett’s coattails, but regardless, I think there’s a good chance Arkham is next year’s modular building. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is BtAS based. I would personally prefer it to be comics based with new villains like Hush, Ventriloquist, Mad Hatter, Black Mask, etc. but since we’re probably just gonna get repeats of old villains, I would actually prefer to get BtAS variants of them. As for the Krypto news, it’d be great if he was included in the Superman set.

And Kitty. And Emma. And someone for the X-Men to fight who isn’t Magneto or a Sentinel.

We haven’t gotten a giant BtaS Batmobile yet.

TheBrickReporter is claiming there’s a Batman D2C coming next year. Yalllegoname4myself is claiming there’s a Batman Iogo coming similar to the Marvel and Star Wars ones.

I was counting the D2C as the third set. Not sure where the rumor started that we’d get a DC D2C tbh. I’d be fine with that, tbh. I’d love to get a movie based Superman costume but a comic based Superman set with a new villain would also be great. If we got a D2C Arkham Asylum (and this is just pure speculation) next year, I think it’d make more sense for it to be BtAS based simply because we already have Joker, Harley, Mr Freeze, and Batman in those outfits in production. That cuts down on the number of new prints Lego would need and would increase the number of figures they could include. Also, we haven’t gotten a comic based DC D2C since 2013, and I doubt that’s gonna change anytime soon.

Either a comic based grey and black/blue or one based on Pattinson would be my guess. We already got Bale and Keaton and I don’t see Kilmer, Clooney, or Affleck happening. If all there rumors are true, that means next years set lineup is: - Lex Luthor vs Superman mech - The Tumbler - 4+ Batmobile with Mr Freeze - Superman ($40) - Buildable Batman - unknown D2C Honestly, the presence of Superman makes this a lot better than most recent years IMO. That said, I would really have liked another set or two based on BtAS and one more for Superman (there’s no way they’ll cover half the costumed characters in a $40 set, yet alone both Lois and Jimmy). I also wonder what the D2C will end up being. Obviously it’ll be Batman related, but we’ve been getting big display pieces like the snooze box and that Gotham City diorama in recent years. Maybe that trend will continue with a BtAS Arkham Asylum?

I hope we get a Hulk vs Wolverine set somewhere down the line. Even if it is something stupid like Hulk’s Monster Truck vs Wolverine’s motorcycle, just so long as we get a new comic Hulk using the new bigfig mold.

Sentinel is rumored for next summer with 4 minifigures (two unknown, Gambit, and Wolverine).

3 more rumored DC sets for next year, with one of them rumored to be a $40 set for Superman.

Can’t wait for one of the Fantastic Four to be left out of the Galactus set and only available in a $350 Baxter Building.

We’ve been getting more and more comic Avengers sets as of late, so there is some hope. I definitely think we’ll see comic based Cap, Thor, and Loki sometime in the next year.
