I built a vignette of Luthien hanging out in Neldoreth. ”To the beeches of Neldoreth I came in the Autumn Ah! the gold and the red and the sighing of leaves in the Autumn in Taur-na-neldor! It was more than my desire.” -Treebeard’s song- It was in the Forest of Neldoreth that Lúthien was born and also under the trees of Neldoreth that Beren first beheld Lúthien dancing in the moonlight.

Book III - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
T-86(swebrickLUG) replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thank you for your great work and time you’ve put in here @Henjin_Quilones as guild leader 🫡 I think @Groveris a perfect choice for the new Avalonia guild leader! All hail to the both of you and to the greatest guild When I have more time I’ll pick up on your input-inquiry for book IV! -
Sweet color-palette for this one @Grover you have created a lively scene going on here without it being clustered due to the (fairly small) footprint. The arch-doorway is supercool and the solution for the hops is nice too. The thatched roof is a prefect choice for this one and your solution using zipline for the hops work very well! A minor “critique” is that I feel that the house could’ve been slightly larger to better fit the cool doorway, but might just be me. Thanks again for keeping GoH alive and for the inspiring builds you put on here!

Thats a nice tower @SimWieswith som good tile-usage! Sweet path, trees and door as well. A small suggestion would be to add som more foliage and to slightly move the first horserider back and also letting him be the flagbearer, but thats a matter of taste I guess! Glad to see another build from you. I’ll be have to get my act together too, only.. the joust and MELO will steal my attention in the nearest future. BUT, did someone say doubledip!? Tripledip? 😂 Keep up the good work!

Great build and continuation of your Prenmôr-storyline @Grover A truly bustling scene where the highlights for me are the angled lower section of the walls, the spill from the bricklayers, the guy pushing a cart of stone and so on! You have also managed to do something I never really succeed with myself, using both fleshes and traditional yellow heads! Glad to see someone building for Avalonia again. Makes me want to get back to building for my Dandelume-story again. Perhaps I’ll doubledip for the summer joust!? Take care and keep up the good work!

Thanks dude, I appreciate it! -
My last submission in the dying hours of Brickscalibur. I managed to finish my build for the Dwarf tales-category! “The dwarven miners of the moonstone-mountains presented a mighty gift. A chest of their precious stones were given to the elven emissary outside the eastern gate.“

My entry for Brickscalibur in the perspective matters-category. The traitor “Many of the guards became witnesses as the captain followed his own cousin over the inner courtyard outside the barracks. Golodhin dropped his sword and fell in his haste to flee his treacherous actions against his kin and brothers in arms.”

T-86(swebrickLUG) replied to Ben S's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build @Ben S! You’ve nailed the mitgardian style very well. Some nice texture in the walls and I really like the large piles of snow framing the path to the gate. Happy to see people building new things for GoH 👍 -

I have followed every step of the calender! I haven’t had the opportunity (nor memory-space in my brain it appears) to comment on the progress this far though! An excellent calender for many reasons: Creative idea, well built and builds that really draws you in. Really looking forward to the last parts of the calender!!! Thank you again for throwing this great tradition @Aurore👏👍- 100 replies

Im considering building for brickscalibur again now that its on, but we’ll se about that 😂 personal/family-matters consume a lot of time but perhaps I will be able to participate in a category or two! -

Many thanks @Grover! I must start with a great and sincere appreciation of your re-occurring feedback in this forum, not only for my builds but for everyone’s. In my opinion the elaborate feedbacks you (and others as well) give is for 1. what keeps this forum living and 2. makes it possible to grow as a builder. I can agree on your suggestion regarding the waterfall, Caleb/Legohobbitfan commented on the angle on flickr as well. I’ll be forced to continue practicing photography, in all fairness, sometimes a good photo can upgrade a kind of mjae-build to appear miles better. Take care Grover! -

Hey all fabulous Guild-people! Its been far too long since I put something together for my Dandelume-storyline, so I built this small vignette with some landscaping-techniques I haven’t used in a while. “In the western parts of Dandelume the people among the hillsides are specialised in breeding cattle. The different farmstead landlords have been given heritable sections of the area. However, due to the large amount of cattle and often narrow undulating landscape, each landlord is forced to form systems of small pastures under their control. Each of these pastures have an appointed and responsible group of peasants/breeders living with their herds-large or small. The peasants have build sheds, shacks and homes on the slopes in the rangelands and can therefore monitor the cattle at any given moment of the day. From these insignificant hills the cattle will be brought to the farmstead-lords to be sold or used to breed. From there the meat or finest stock can be moved far away all over Historica.”
