  1. "I take it you don't want to talk to me, then? Pity. A good battle of the snark keeps one's wits sharpened. Never mind my lamenting, though, because it'll all be over soon. Rihts Manor will be such a good underwater palace when sunk..."
  2. What, are you not going to comment on Aquos? or does he look too much like a Rhodus recolor?
  3. QM Note: Lycan already looted the table, Capt. "Okay, Galen, lets cut to the chase here. You're a nice guy, but inter species romance isn't my thing. I'm just flirty by nature, sorry, hon. I promise not to kill you, though, so there is that! I probably should skedaddle from here, though, huh? Where would I go, thou-" The Toxiprogg pokes his head in past the doorway. "You can crash at our burrow!" Beatrice looks at the two men, shrugs, and begins putting the eggs in a napsack. "Okay, sweetie. Sure!" Beatrice's voice seems to have a bit more warmth at a lot less flirt whne speaking to the Toxiprogg. She was tending for him for quite a while, wasn't she? Maybe they were having a relationship? "Progg eggs are tough, they'll be fine. But... can you hold this one, Galen? It is... a bit more important." Galen gets: Peculiar Egg: A large black egg. Its contents seem a bit... sinister, almost. Punii, 2 month year old Progg Alchemist Jellies: Green x1, Red x1, Blue x1 With the loot distributed, Sylph signals over the Toxiprogg. the venomous creature manages to dig through the porous wall, but hurts his hand in the process- Beatrice bandages it up and they all press forward. The walk through the created door way and back outside, the fresh air filling their nostrils and the moonlight shining brilliantly on them. They find themselves on a path underneath the Dini Manor support beams. Walking along the path, they turn the bend when they see an unwelcome sight... A massive Progg not unlike Rhodus blocks their path. His eyes shimmer a bright green, his glowing eyes glazed over. His tail taps the ground rhythmically, as if to some sort of a beat. The beast is a horrid mass of tentacles, the terror armed with 8 whip-like appendages - plus his huge razor sharp tail! The entire beast drips, like he was in the water only recently. He speaks in a deep and guttural, yet arrogant, sounding voice. "I do wish The Wound was a better exterminator - he lets annoying gnats like you slip through his grasp far too often for my taste. I am somewhat impressed, though. You made it through that damp little cave - and killed a bunch of crippled Proggs! Good job, killing the sick - took you long enough, at any rate. Still, it seems you spared the nurse." The massive Progg's eyes do not move, but he seems to be addressing Beatrice. "Speaking of the nurse. Beatrice, dear. Do you have my unborn child in that napsack of yours? Do tell me you didn't hand our son over to one of these imbecile sellswords, or your life may come to a slow and painful end." "A-A-AQUOS! Y-you filthy, disgusting, creature...!"
  4. Sorry for the delays, 48ers! The next post I make in 48 (which I will start now) will have some content to it.
  5. I gulp down a Smelling Salts and Nostrum. "If we don't take these fellows out now, chances are we'll see them later."
  6. QM Note: Busy busy so very busy! in the interest of time, this post will be quick and pictureless, for the most part. Sylph expects the Porous wall, running his hand down the slab of rock. Through the holes he can almost feel the moonlight tickling his cheek... Lycan looks at the table and finds: Potion x3 Tonic x3 Remedy x3 Galen goes into the hatchery. Beatric elooks over 5 wooden shelves, each one with 10 pulsating, dark red eggs on them. Each of the shelves are clearly marked "Beatrice". "I think they may hatch soon! "
  7. I believe EB is switching IPs, so some quirky things are going down.
  8. Wonderful article, Zepher! Someone has got to sticky it or something. It must've been kind off odd writing a three-arc summary of a two chapter story. 48 could either be 1 quest or 3, and a quest for every brother not only seemed difficult, but also unnecesary.
  9. Glad you liked it! Shame they didn't survive a few rounds longer, though.
  10. Well, after his defeat the hands of Heroica, he went a bit... batty. Note how not only in his second phase he though his name was literally "Death Progg", he also used about the same breakdown speech.
  11. Hooray, 48ers! Back story!
  12. QM Note: What with my research paper and Hanukkah, I'm a bit behind. I'll have the table and the hatchery up - for now, please enjoy these documents. The Mental health is written in a surprisingly neat handwriting: perhaps not all doctors had stereotypically bad penmanship. The Bleeding: Incredibly unhealthy blood obsession. Surprised he didn't ask me for a sample of my own. Perhaps caused by tasting the blood splat of his wife after she was killed during the siege? Refused to divulge more information about the incident. The Wound: Ego the size of a blimp. Was apparently the subject of severe child abuse during his early years. Developed an inferiority complex as a result of his constant beatings. When he took advantage of his "defect" to murder his parents, the opposite happened: his low self-esteem blossomed into a suffocating ego. The Suffering: Seasoned army man. Master of military strategy... and sometimes speaks like a drill sergeant. Constant cravings for discipline and order. The Regret: Knew the textbook answers to all the questions I answered. Very formidable mind. Summoned up my dead cousin for laughs, then left. I don't even have a clue what makes him tick. Next, Sylph cracks open the weathered tome: The King of Proggs... the first of our species ever born... is a creature like none other. He is invincible. Immortal. He is cataclysm incarnate. None can even create the smallest scratch, leave the slightest dent. He can destroy entire armies with a more sweep of his tail; shatter palaces with a single punch. He has survived plague and famine, war and continenetal drift. And then he vanished. With his 3 children trained into suitable heirs, our king... Mythrogg the Invincible... disappeared off the face of Olegaia.
  13. Am I the only one experiencing constant 404 errors for Eurobricks?
  14. I agree. The plot of 48 demanded Rhodus had to die. There was no way he was going to converted or made into a pacifist, so the entire Rhodus scenario was definitely as you described. However, I threw in the torture scene (my favorite moment from 48 so far) and his new ice powers to keep the heroes guessing. (Those powers will be explained, by the way: eventually! ) I feel as if my "acting" for Rhodus was far better then last time though: he really does seem like a sadistic son of a megablock.
  15. "Tunnel is out, you guys wouldn't be able to survive a tunnel flood - especially after the dip you suffered earlier. Hm, there is a path underneath the Dini Manor support beams... Maybe we can blast the wall?" Looking around the room, you see a door marked Hatchery and a slightly porous wall... plus a table with various vials on it. "Maybe, Galen. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go check up on the eggs." And with that, Beatrice heads into the Hatchery. Will the party follow? Inspect the room? Read the documents they had obtained?
  16. I agree: build-up is just as, if not more, vital then all of the other parts. Sometimes, build-up can occur without even seeing the baddie: I used this technique in 36. Glad you like it.
  17. ...It is on the amount of thermal energy in different colors of light, actually.
  18. "Well, us females aren't too great at digging, hon." Suddenly, the Toxiprogg bursts in! "Hiyaaaa!" Seeing only 2 other Poggs in the room - Punii and the nurse, he looks around awkwardly. The Nurse giggles at the foolhardy display. His head hung low, he says: "I missed the fight, didn't I? Just as soon as I get enough courage to brawl... *grumble grumble*"
  19. Wow, Scorpiox, amazing build! Really impressive set. After 48, I will actually release an official Progg Bestiary - would you want that sort of thing in the Embassy?
  20. "Up? No, silly! We're inside that big rock ridge the manor is leaning on! We're pretty much as ground level."
  21. Thanks, you two. Confession: I have a research paper due tomorrow. And here I am, writing how to balance monsters for an online RPG... Yes please.
  22. That, or: Quest 56: Passives and immunities out the wazoo!
  23. Just finished writing a psuedo-essay on bosses on the QM lounge. Share your thoughts!
  24. *scirbblescribblescribblescri- crack!* Man, now my pencil is broken. After 48, I actually do want to do a tag-team quest with... someone.
  25. "Open space near a large concentration of Proggs. Plus, the sound of water droplets constantly falling and the splashing of the waves is... oddly therapeutic. "
