The swirling darkness that engulfed the night sky above them seemed to falter, thinning out as Perfect Regret spasmed and convsuled. The light shot out of every orifice, from his abysmal mouth from the various cracks that now ran up and down his silver shell. With Aquos invigorating the entire party with his song, the party flanks the hateful creature. He spews foul vitriol as they attack him, leaving now area of his body unwounded - the terrifying Progg, once almost angelic in appearance, was now a wounded wreck. He was the most formidable foe the party had faced, and yet they were growing ever closer to triumphing over him. With Perfect Regret's defeat, peace and prosperity would at long last return to Luosh. It was the end of the line! As the light fades from Perfect Regret's battered body, the party looks down from the rooftop and sees an odd scene: Proggs, hundreds of them, gathering in a circle around the Town hall. Unlike their confrontation with Eidolon, however, they didn't seem savage - they held torches to pierce through the night's darkness, bearing witness to the battle going on above. A sea of hundreds of lights illuminates Luosh as the Proggs simply watch... With their princes defeated, the bloodlust and propaganda were no more. They seemed tried, weary after their many conflicts. The heroes realized what they once perceived as a barbaric race was simply a colony looking for a proper home. Rhodus and Eidolon shout down below, once again trying to twist this desire to suit their own omnicidal means... "You plebeians! Help your princes! NOW!" "You disgraceful runts... I am your emperor! Do as your master commands!" But it is for naught. Defeated, disgraced, and killed, the brothers no longer held any control over the Progg populace. The growing crowd simply whisper and mumurs - adults discussing amongst themselves in hushed voices, larvae crying, mothers consoling their young... "What... what do you think we're going to do?" "I... I don't know. Where will we go? Who will lead us?" "Mommy, daddy... what is going on...?!" "Shh, shh... it is going to be okay honey, it is going to be okay..." With hundreds of concenred whispers floating up above the cacophony of the brawl, perfect Regret stirs awake... This wasn't over yet! "This is the end of the road, heroes! Let us end tonight's bloodstained history, once and for all!" Tactics: >Perfect Regret: Defensive Position! Defending self (Plus 8 SP to self, -1 level!) The battle rages on! Heroica RPG - Quest#66: WANTED! Steerpike the Poisoner

I accept the dry meat and nibble on it, my eyes darting around every corner of the vicinity. "Rations better then no food. I'm staying on high alert day and night - if any of us need to sleep, we'll do shifts. So barring your... previous quest... have any other ventures in Heroica?" -

I look warily at the alleycat. "Do we... you know?" -
No pushover? I'd kill her in two critical hits with those stats.
-
'Tis a cat. Killing it shouldn't be much of a hassle.
-
Narrowing it down one cardinal direction doesn't help us - all the compass tells us whther or not they're ut a-prowlin' or not. If we stray too far from our post, chances are really bad things would happen anyway.
-
Hey, its been established that the Wolfgang has some sort of protective magic barrier... If the compass works, it works.

As I walk, I also look at each wall and gently glide my hand across the walls. -
Just you wait, I'm going to be poking and prodding each individual brick. Like some sort of reverse Spy VS Spy, Rumble?
-
Sandy is either laughing hysterically at our paranoia or grumbling that we're slowly taking his Wolfgang hiding places out of commission.
-
Just whistle and tap your foot or something.
-
I also decided to check for underground passages as well.

I also step down a bit harder to listen to my footsteps, to see whether or not the ground we were standing on was solid or had something beneath it. -
I think Sandy wants us to be super paranoid. Eventually we'll just say something like "We slack off for a couple seconds." and suddenly the entirety of the wolfgang sneaks right past us.

"Try Donny, Violetta, and Ulric for the heck of it. Someone, press their body against the door while I check something out. Nagure, if its you, please take care not to crush the doorframe." Walking across the corridor, careful not to trample or be trampled on by the frantic assitants, I approach the star-pressed doo and address the sleepy guard in front of it. "Not too exciting of a patrol so far, huh?" -

Craning my head back, I address the sorceror: "Because he is planning an infiltration tonight. Looks like Steerpike is coming to crash the party when it is in progress. Didn't we already know that?" "Out of curiosity, Arthur, when looking for Barbarracia... does the compass poiint to that gold-starred door?" -
I just use two index fingers to type everything. Never liked using the home row.
-
Yes, you've taught me that one... twice, now? Woah, then you are a really fast typist. I've never seen anyone prepare a quest thread so fast.
-
Wrong QM? Do other QMs prepare posts in Word (such as the opening or battles) beforehand? I just write it out as it is reached.

Have we succesfully summed up Heroica, both in character and the metagame, in one youtube link?

Considering the many different takes possible on every class, I really don't like the idea of locking a class out of a quest. A rogue can be a swindling thief, a noble vigilante, or someone who refuses to steal from the kindhearted - a knight can be a nice man, a holier-than-thou jerk, or perhaps a coward using their defense to cover their butt. A ranger can be a friend of animals or a poahcer of them, a cleric can be a priest or a pretzel. A barbarian could be a brute or a gentlemen, a mage responsible or destructive. With so many intrepeations of every class ever, i can't say I like barring certain classes from certain quests.
