Suddenly, her hand is engulfed in a ring flame, making the drink steam. The embers recede back into her palm as she takes another sip. "Muuuuch better. Yep, I could go for another..." "She has already had 16 tonight..." the barkeep mumbles to Arthur. "Eh, most of it isn't excitin' stuff. Unless you're keen on trade trends or the like." "Forgetting that intercepted pair of crates, aye?" "Aw, yea, that box of scrap for the Ji Pei. They were actually sendin' some scrap pieces and obsolete parts overseas or something. Useless to them, so they were just making room in their warehouse. Send em' overseas, get someone to melt em' down, and collect the part's gold worth in molten metal." "Til' someone nabbed it. Thing is, though, if the Ji Pei thought the parts useless, I'm guessing whatever thief grabbed em' just wanted to melt them down himself." I give one last nervous glance to my mutilated hand before I approach the party. I walk towards the cart and its two bickering owners, finding two of my party already there. Both Grimwald and Romulus were familiar to me. Mizuki was as well, but she seemingly wasn't here yet. Grabbing cookies, I assume. I go up to Mordred and nod. "Sorrow, reporting for duty." I quite nearly offer my left hand - the one barbed in glass - for a handshake, but quickly decide against it. Made some purchases in the marketplace - my updated stats are in the marketplace/statistics topic. -
Watching the time closely, I briskly walk into the marketplace. I had no desire to be late for the quest I was leading. I purchase 5 Meads (75), 5 Smelling Salts (125), 5 Nostrums (175), and 2 Phoenix Essences (100). 475 gold total. By the by, if anyone wants to test-run their Expert Class, I invented a set of enemies to use as punching bags: Mead, Level 53 Fire HP: 675/675 SP: 8 Immune to Stunned, Sealing, Armor Sundering and Blindness! Specials: Buff Up: Boosts every enemy's level by 4. This proves much to the heroes' chagrin, Enraging the hero who rolled Special Damage. Spill: This Mead is not edible... it spills over, Badly Poisoning the entire party. Specials alternate. Smelling Salts, Level 36 Water *Hastened!* HP: 460/460 SP: 11 Immune to Blindness, Sealing, Hexed, and Sleep! Specials: Liqour is Quicker: Marks the hero who rolled Special Damage, automatically dealing 20 damage at the end of every round. Bad Whiff: The hero who rolls Special Damage takes a whiff of the Smelling Salts... but being a creation of The Regret, it Dooms them. (Can be remedied or removed for 13 ether.) Specials decided by die roll. Nostrum, Level 41 Electric *Lucky!* HP: 550/550 SP: 4 Immune to Blindness, Hexed, and Confusion! Specials: Tastes So Good: Heroicans, no matter the taste, are addicted to these. The hero whoi rolls Special Damage is both Enamored and Cursed. Withdrawls: Try as they might, the heroes simply cannot take a sip of this delicious drink. All suffer 38 damage from withdrawls. Specials decided by die roll. -
