  1. I approach the Decamon table, and seeing my opponent, I hardly recognize you. "Nerwen? Is that you? You look... Rather different." I play a Stone Golem, trumping the squirrel, followed by a Pegasus.
  2. "...I don't know. I..." Punii shrinks, curling up in worry, his voice trembling. "We may soon *wheeze* be stuck under here with a mentally deranged Progg who can't *cough* c-control his new powers, and... That may not be a good idea..."
  3. The aura of darkness once again lunges at Boomingham, causing his attempts to fail and wasting his ether... "But I'm... I'm pretty *wheeze* sure The regret said this lasted for almost three *cough* weeks... We may be with him, and the magic in him, for a while..." "Who?! Who is The Regret?!" "And... *wheeze* we're just as trapped here as Prometheus is. I don't know if there's any way out of here..."
  4. Boomingham tries to heal promteheues, but it fails. The aura of dark magic, created by Animutilav, snaps at Boomingham, forcing the paladin to move backwards unless he wanted a dose of the magic being pumped through Prometheues. Content it had repelled Boomingham, the aura returns to torturing Prometheus. "There's no dispelling this magic... And there's no escape from here either... Please, kill me, I beg of you. None of us are leaving this place - just kill me, please!"
  5. "I stole a... I'm a slave, to humans, and I stole some of their magic, and the caves... they caved in, and I thought I could save myself with it, but..." Prometheus's claw unfurls, revealing a charred scroll. Only one word is still readable on it: "Animutilav." "The angel... The angel can likely feel how dark, how powerful, this scroll is. Please...Kill me, before it's too late..."
  6. "I've... I've done something wrong. it's all gone horribly wrong." Prometheus retches. "Help me, kill me - hell, they're the same thing, now. Please..."
  7. "My name... my name i-is... Prometheus, and I..." Another sharp howl of pain. prometheues lurhces to the side to hack up a mixture of blood, dark magic, and bile, before collapsing to the floor in exhaustion and defeat. "I don't know... How in the world you got here, but... You must help me, please..." "P-prometheus?" Punii wheezes between choked breaths, the journey taking a toll on him. "But that's... *wheeze* what The Regret called himself before..." "The... Regret? You keep mentioning a Regret..." Prometheus coils up to reduce the pain, more wounds appearing on his body - as if by magic.
  8. -------------- In the midst of the chaos, six of the heroes feel a tugging sensation. It grows stronger and stronger as the calamity grows worse - until, in a burst of light, they feel their bodies flung into what can only be described as a void, their mind and form being flung through a great distance. The party sees moment after moment flash past through their eyes, brief glimpses of various histories assaulting their minds during their disorienting experience. They can feel themselves getting weak and fatigued, their conscious mind wavering and their body becoming feeble. Before they past the brink of nonexistence, their journey ends abruptly, depositted in some dank cave. Those six heroes were... Lawrence Boomingham Jeaux Elmfyre Mortimer "Em" Mahzan Erdathcath Madilinas Karie Alderflask-Cour Punii The Progg The party stands up, their bones and muscles shaking from the simple task. They felt exhausted and weary, the trip draining them almost completely and utterly. They get their bearings... Behind them was a massive cave in, a practical mountain of rubble. There was no escape from this cavern. Looking up at the spiked ceiling, they realize that this was the very same cave they fought Seerus in. "Did... Did w-we... 8wheeze* win? Where we *cough* just... Transported beneath the c-cita-" It was then the party hears a moan, beloning to someone who was most definitely not a hero... A horribly gnarled Progg lies in a pool of his own blood and other bodily fluids. He was shaking and convulsing horribly, clutching his body in pain in between lapses of limpness. He moans and shrieks as more and more cuts appear on his carapace, his blue scales being bleached a deathly white. Black, bony spikes emerge from his back, tearing through his body, creating even more wounds. A corona of dark magic surrounds the poor animal, rippling through his body, filling him with an unimaginable agony. In etween roars of pain white globs of light burst from his body and float away, dissolving into nothing... He turns and speaks to the heroes, blood pouring out of his face grate, his eyes demented and pain-stricken. "Who... Are... You...? What do you..." Another spike bursts from his back, piercing his skin. "AAAAUUUUUURGH!"
  9. I play my own Pegasus, and slide my Moon Elemental across the table. "I believe that's game, Dwinlas."
  10. More than 1,000 damage over 3 rounds, very impressive! 1 more hour or so before we move to 105's final act...

The paragon sidesteps and jabs the tail, his gaze turning towards his comrades and wife... Before turning to The regret with rage and hatred filling his eyes. He delivers a blow to the beast before shuffling backwards, gripping the Zandatsu with both hands, ready to protect the party. "I'll... I'll protect you guys. This is our chance, perhaps our last. Lets give him hell!" "...Hnnrgh. No angel I can devour here, either. Just a scrond husband, preventing me from reducing you all to ash. C'est la vie, as you would say, Cour. But it hardly matters now. Do your worst, heroes! Show me if you truly deserve the victories you have obtained in my Citadel!" Round Eight Of The Final Battle: >Mortimer VS The Tail (back): Criitcal Hit (14x2=28+21=49+5=54x2=108 damage) >Johon VS The Tail (front): Special Damage Shield: Ravage (13x2=26+31=57x2=114 damage to all enemies) >Johon VS The Regret (front): Special Damage Critical Hit (13x3=39+31=70x4=280-10=270 damage) >Masson VS The Regret (front): Hit (50+15+5=70x2=140-10=130 damage) >Boomingham VS The Regret (front): Critical Hit (9x2=18+31=49+4=53x8=424-10=414 damage) >Karie VS The Regret (front): Hit (14+28=42x2=84-10=74 damage) >Jeaux VS The Regret (front) (light): Hit (13+21=34x4=136-20=126 damage) >Punii VS The Regret (front): Chrysepoia >Erdathcath VS The Regret (front): Aim (26x2=52-10=42 damage) Eager to make The Regret finally pay for his endless list of crimes, the party draws their weapons and bombbards them. Almost none of them miss their mark, Mortimer and Johon cooperating tos ever the tail from The regret's body. As The regret watches his last limb fall into the snow, he knows he is truly done for, frantically trying to blast the party w=away with his endless supply of magic. unfortunately, the party's skill and Masson's protection trumps The Regret's desperation. By the end of the round The Regret is left bleeding and stunned. "...What an end to this long, long saga... Isn't it, heroes?" The Regret says somberly. Round Nine Of The Final Battle: >Boomingham VS The Regret (front): Hit (9+31=40+4=44x8=352-10=342 damage) ...!!! Boomingham runs over to the stunned Regret dauntlessly, and with his frozen saber, cleaves his shell in two. A crack opens up along his carpace, trickling down his spine, before bursting open. He gives a horrific wail as dark magic comes out of his body in blasts, the cobweb of cracks spreading through his body. The reality around them does similar, the dreary night sky and the endless snowy landscape splitting into pieces. It shatters like a mirror, leaving the heroes back in the Citadel's highest tower, The Regret's body falling into pieces in front of the Lifespark. Three bright lights - his eyes, the embers of the lifespark, burst of his body last, his formidable from shattered and leaving him nothing more than a flickering ghost. "The... Embers. Of the Lifespark. I became too weak to control them. They're-" The tower shakes and rumbles as the three embers still float in the air, all of them pulsing wildly. "You needed me to keep them in check, you fools! Without my soul to contain them, seperated from the rest of the Lifespark... They're out of my control, and they'll run wild! You've unleashed hell upon us, and I have no way of stopping it...!" The abyss below them bursts into flames, and then liquifies, becoming a pool of water, before freezing and becoming a jagged field of ice. The entire world around them was going insane, magic running wild inside the massive chamber. light and electiricty dance in frantic bolts around the heroes, nearly incinerating them. Darkness pulses through the room in noxious waves, the quake growing stronger and stronger. An ethereal hiss becomes louder and louder, culminating in a mighty roar, the carnage growing and growing in intensity. Soon a flash of light rings out, and a majority of the party vanishes into thin air, swept away in the ethereal maelstrom... Leaving some of them alone with The Regret in the magical cataclysm, with no way to escape... The Regret shouts at the remaining heroes over the carnage. "...Who knows where your comrades went...?" QM Note: Do NOT post in this thread! PMs will be sent out within the next couple of hours/a post will be made here showing who is where.

  15. "Hm. I'm afraid this must end in a draw..." I play a Rafflesia, and then a Stone Golem.
  16. Perhaps that's what I was basing my judgment on subconsciously? I'd still argue that it's a positive effect (especially since I just remembered an item can cause it), but it may be best to just defer to Sandy for this.
  17. If aura is a roll, though, why would it be induced from an item (Pheles Kris?) Fair point, Brickdoctor. I'm generalizing too much.
  18. "I know I need you. But maybe you don't need me as much, and I can understand that. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too attached. But our child? What has he or she done to pollute the world?"
  19. "That is very much true. You must know what state your world is in. You must. Your career involves alleviating the pain and sickness in this world - supposedly, anyway. You've seen all ins imaginable being committed. Probably even committed more than a few yourself. You know the world is flawed, imperfect; and in this Progg's opinion, rotten to the core. So how do you go on? Living in a world not only imperfect, but getting worse and worse by the second as you humans grow and breed as a species. I understand so much about humanity - thus why I was able to bring ten thousand hunters here from across the world - but I cannot understand how you walk this world without being driven to the same means I have."
  20. "I do not blame any human for wanting to strike me down. I blame them when they think they're being righteous in trying to end my life. I can hardly blame you for feeling that desire, but I can blame you for your lack of comprehension." "...Karie. You snapped me out of The Regret's control before. Are you willing to leave it all for him? Your friends in the Syndicate, your comrades here? Our child? Me?"
  21. "I do like emotional manipulation, Boomingham, and you need words to accomplish that. Just take a look at the druid - because of me, she's been eaten alive by her own hatred and rage. So I have succeeded on some of you. Mortimer, Johon... They're going down the same path as well."
  22. That I'd disagree with. Aura affects someone's statistics, while Orderly/Chaotic affects someone's rolls. (Or, more specifically, what each roll does, as Lucky influences rolls as well.)
  23. Masson loses his composure, but chooses to avert his eyes and try to avoid the judgment of his wife instead of showing just how frightened he was. He musters up some nerve and speaks. "I came here to protect you. I failed." "Just what I like to hear. You'll do your part in their destruction, I trust, soon-to-be deviless?"
  24. Out of curiosity, how is the Assasin's 1/6 roll an effect, even theoretically?
