  1. Awesome build and what a great combo set. Well done.
  2. Love the breakdown. I agree that the Satyr legs would look awesome with some good printing for Zeb (so long as they are the same height which I believe they are).
  3. Hoping they do! The fell beast was awesome to build and building some more LOtR in that size would be incredible.
  4. The dioramas are awesome (better with minifigures, although the Death Star trench was cool). I am good if the theme continues long term. Top three for me were the throne room, speeder chase, and Death Star trench in order (and meditation chamber would be third as a diorama precursor).
  5. That would be tough, breaking the $1000 barrier on a Lego set would be crazy. That set would have to be perfect. Would I do it, probably, but I might not feel good about it. Like buyers regret at that type of price. $500 for Rivendell and Nara’s dur leaves me upset (and I bought and love those sets but the price still bothers me). that said, seeing the wicked sets really upsets me that we can’t get some small LOtR sets. Nothing against wicked for those who like it, but if Lego says Wicked can sell with some movie coming out then why can’t they say hmm LOTR could sell with a tv series and a movie coming out? Seriously why are they not making play sets. They tested the waters with big sets and realized the theme sells, there is new content (don’t @ me with rights business, orcs and Rohan can be from the original movies), they clearly release small lines for other themes (wicked, despicable me, Indiana jones, etc.) around movies coming out. Just frustrating speculating on a potential $1000 set when they can’t release 3-4 play-sets. (Or get a CMF like dungeons and dragons). I would love to hear a logic based argument as to why they are not making a small wave of playsets.
  6. Good timing with the new set coming out. I just ordered some of the imperial officer ones last month (dark grey with black, plus a white with black). Will probably hold off on another PAB for at least a month.
  7. I am good with an Acolyte set coming out. Mostly because I wouldn't buy it anyway and it would save me some money in a new wave (especially considering how prices are going). I have not watched the show so I just am indifferent to a set from it. Would people want a Jedi Temple set to be based on the Acolyte? As far as what is deserved, I would like to see Lego come out with some of the dozens/hundreds of characters or some of the ships and vehicles that they still have not produced in 25 years of Lego Star Wars (dozens? At least 9 ships from the OT plus all the prequel trilogy). Seems like after 25 years and hundreds of sets some of these could be more deserved than things from recent shows, but I understand that Lego wants to capitalize on the current stuff. Thankfully Home One and the Acclimator will be checked of the list next year. For characters there are dozens of Padme's that have not come out, force ghosts, tons of imperial officers, etc. etc. that don't have anything after 25 years. It would be nice to see some more "new" minifigs and ships from material that has been around for the full or almost full 25 years of Lego Star Wars. (Side note Padme could have her own CMF line and that would be a good thing, just 12 different outfits).
  8. There was another recent thread about a similar topic with a website that shows minifigures by movies minifigs.nl or something like that. I personally track them by movie on a spreadsheet for better accuracy but not have them in the order they appear. Sounds like a fun project.
  9. Seeing the dungeons and dragons minifigure line really makes me wish they would do a LOTR one.
  10. Great research and review. If we add in the minifigures numbers (over 80 per year from 2013-2019 peaking in 2016 with 116). Then seeing it crash 2020-this year to less than 60 minifigures a year. Combined with Lego making less than 20 play scale sets a year since 2020, really shows the new era of Lego Star Wars is falling off. 2020-2024 Average of 14.4 playsets per year (25 total average). Average of less than 60 minifigures per year. 2013-2019 Average of 23 playsets per year (35 total average). Average of 80plus new minifigures. So we have seen about a 37% of playsets wiped out in the past five years from the previous seven, and a 26% (plus) drop in unique minifigures. (30% total decrease in sets). very clear that the last five years of Lego Star Wars has dropped off from its peak in 2016. I am curious what has led to this, was there a renegotiated contract in this timeframe with Disney that is less favorable to Lego? New leadership that is trying to move away from Star Wars? Lego (and particularly LSW) saw a ton of increased interest around COVID but 2024 has some of the lowest numbers? Something has to be driving this along with the above inflation price increases. Sad to see but would be interesting to know what is driving the decline in numbers that we have now seen in 2024 sets.
  11. I think the set is cool, I think if it had been R2-KT it would have been a for sure purchase. I might get one or two for my kids but having just bought the tantive hall set will probably pass for myself (I might be tempted if there is a sale to beef up the tantive hall with more figs). Definitely a cool set and concept.
  12. I know they are just rumors for a new MBS Ewok village next year (I am starting to think MBS is our best opportunity to get cool figures anymore). Here is my wishlist of mini figures for an Ewok village MBS set assuming we get somewhere around what we got for Mos Eisley. All 15 of the old ewok village (Wicket, Chief Chirpa, Ewok warrior, Teebo, Logray, Chewie, C-3PO, R2-D2, Luke, Han (prefer Endor version), Leia (same version), two rebel troopers, one scout trooper, one storm trooper) Plus the following six 1 extra Storm Trooper 1 Imperial Navy Trooper AT-ST Driver Imperial Officer Imperial Crew (someone operating the bunker) Leia Scout gear (Bunker) - So two versions of Leia (We never get enough versions of Leia or Padme for the record) The ideal set to me would be most of the village similar to what we had last time (maybe one less tree but the platform area, and the bridge scene area. Then do a bunker build with an AT-ST. Additionally I would like a companion battle pack (big one like the clones/droids) with 2 Stormtroopers, 1 scout trooper, 1 Imperial Officer, 1 Rebel Commando, and 1 Ewok warrior. with a speeder side build, an Ewok trap, and an Ewok glider.
  13. Fair enough, I will stick to my spreadsheet for tracking :). I have them split out by movie and all the variants by type (and I combined things like the Death Star droid with the RA-7 because they are the same), I also designate who has screen time in the movie vs. who does not. lIke the droid that was misnamed does not have screen time but counts in the episode 4/5/6 group, so it is included but has no screen time. (Sloane is another example, not in the movies, but listed as 4/5/6 in brick set).
  14. That is decent, I guess I am referring to how only one luke shows up under episode 4. Where there is an argument that 4-5 Luke’s should be there (farm, poncho, utility belt, stormtrooper, pilot, celebration). This mostly impacts the main cast though and not the other characters which the site does well. the variant page seems to only look at the different variants of the same figure (slave Leia for example is just the different slave Leia variants as opposed to all the Leias that we see). it is a good reference site though especially to get the breakdown.
  15. They look great! I like the hair selection for Mara and the black lightsaber hilt. Very nice.
  16. Cool site, I just browsed it and would only add that variants don’t pop up on the site. Like episode 4 doesn’t have the celebration Leia/luke and Han with medals, unless I was doing something wrong. There is also a good breakdown on bricknerd focused on who is missing but there is some good variant breakdowns there. https://bricknerd.com/home/the-missing-minifigures-of-lego-star-wars-3-24-23
  17. I can’t stand Andor. Showcasing the Empire as having competent officers, making me care about random prisoners in a small story arc, getting me invested in character monologues and recorded messages playing over scenes, raising the bar on what Star Wars live action series can be. Makes me sick to think about. Wish we could get the Fondor haulcraft. the new ship looks cool, but until the show comes out it is hard to get excited about it. Hoping the show is good and then a good build will be exciting. Seeing the Jedi bob ship/price has me concerned about the price of Ashoka’s fighter now. Bob plus one other true minifigure for 40? I thought the yoda plus R2 was bad at 35. (And the pirate fighter). The Jedi bob ship is basically the size of obiwans fighter so i would not be surprised to see $45 as the new Jedi Starfighter price, which makes me wonder what the new X wing price will be.
  18. Funny find, would be fun to swap the Luke with beach Luke from the dark falcon to complete that look :)
  19. I share the buildable character overload sentiment. 2024 we had four buildable droid sets, three starship series and one diorama without minifigures (excluding the two anniversary ones). That is a lot, and I think most of them were done well (and have bought the diorama and one starship), but I agree that it has been too many especially combined with the general lack of minifigures in sets for Star Wars. Lego really needs to drive value with the inflated prices by adding more minifigures (especially non brick built ones - gonk droid). There are so many characters we all want (prequel and original) that Lego has not made or just using the extra trooper to add value for high cost sets. 2013-2019 Lego was making more than 80 Star Wars minifigures each year. (2016 was the peak with 116). Over the past four years Lego has averaged 59. This year looks like we will be on pace for around the 60 mark. Seems like a lot of value has been taken out of the sets in general as we are seeing more than 20 less than what we are used to. With the increase in sets without substantial minifigures like buildable characters or starships it seems like Lego could use production space on more minifigures for the sets that actually get them (like a skiff driver, or an extra figure with Jedi bob’s starfighter, or an extra trooper or two in the ISD, etc.). Or they are using the buildable sets as a strategy to take value out (and costs for them). Hopefully Lego realizes that we will be more willing to pay higher prices if the value is there which would be simple to achieve. I would love to pick up some of the rumored 2025 ships but with the prices they will need good minifigures selections to make it worthwhile.
  20. If the rumors are true Home one is a win, first time making it (outside of the interior version). I was hoping the starship series would yield a home one. Still hoping we get an ISD midi later next year too.
  21. Oh awesome, didn’t realize that part. Cool. And good find.
  22. Probably not but it’s cool, is that on rebeickable? I will probably be supplementing with Mocs until Lego releases actual versions (although highly unlikely they do for some of them).
  23. I am trying to build one of every ship and vehicle from the original trilogy that appears on screen. Special Edition included. I have compiled a list below and was hoping for some help to make sure I did not miss anything. Not looking for ships that are just crashed (Mos Eisley) in the background, or ships that are not identifiable like in ROTJ. I think I am still missing a few. Thanks in advance for your help. Capital/ larger Ships Tantive IV (Corvette), ISD (ISD 1/2), Death Star, Executor, Rebel Transport (GR-75) - Lego has not made, Death Star II, Mon Cal Cruiser (multiple types) - Lego has not made (just interior), Braha tok gunship - Lego has not made Fighters/Freighters Tie Fighter, Imperial Landing Craft, Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, Y-Wing, Outrider (special edition) - Lego has not made, Tie Advanced, Tie Bomber, Imperial Shuttle, Slave 1, Tie Shuttle - (Lego has not made), Tie Interceptor, A-Wing, B-Wing, N1 Starfighter (Special Edition), Vehicles/Speeders Luke's Landspeeder, Sand Crawler, V-35 Speeder, T-16 Skyhopper, Bubble Vehicle (Mos Eisley), Flare S Swoop - Lego has not made, A-1 Deluxe Floater - Lego has not made, TX-3 Spider - Lego has not made, Rebel troop cart (two versions), Snow speeder, AT-AT, AT-ST (two versions), Cloud Car, Rebel Cannon sled/ice cutter?, Jabba's sail barge, Skiff, Speeder Bike, EZ Ride Passenger speeder - Lego has not made
  24. I would agree, the ghost last year was excellent. Definitely the best overall set selection from a Disney plus show. Plus the minifigures have been awesome overall. The only complaints I have heard about the minifigures have been Ezra’s eyes, more detail on trooper, and some really minor things overall. Great group of sets. Wish we had gotten some more Andor sets. That show was focused more on adults though. Also if your looking for a big T-6 build 2bricks has a few videos on YouTube building a UCS sized one, looks impressive.
  25. I am happy I kept and built my GWP. It was a lot of fun building a smaller LOTR set again, and I really like it more in person. looks good between bag end and the black gate on the shelf.
